Positive experience: A few years ago, I had an implant placed. I am very happy with the results. Recently I had a consultation for another dental implant. The Implant specialist was easy to understand, he explained the steps involved. I recommend The Oral Surgery and Implant Specialist at the Dunes.

Fantastic experience: We had an exceptional experience with Dr. Norby and the entire staff…everyone were so friendly and helpful (especially since my wife is a wheelchair patient and requires extra assistance)….highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Arrived 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. Once that was done, a short wait and then back to the surgical room. All of my questions and concerns were addressed quickly and professionally. Doctor and assistants were amazing and very upbeat and positive! Once we got down to business, everything went smoothly and I was on my home in no time! Absolutely the best experience! I highly recommend and will not be going anywhere else for my dental work!!!

Negative experience: They don’t run your insurance in advanced we weren’t informed till 6 months after service they were out of network when we were told to go there by my husbands dentist we were told they were in network so shocked when we received a 800$ bill (later reduced to 630$ for accidental charges) they don’t even feel the slightest bit guilty either what a shame

Fantastic experience: Dr Phil was amazing. I called yesterday with a tooth that was bothering me. They were able to get me in within 24hrs to address the problem and take care of it. He has a great bedside manner, he's funny and energetic. I normally dread going to the dentist and have a fear of them. He put me at ease and created a fun atmosphere that took all the fear away. I would definitely recommend him to everyone.

Positive experience: All I can say, when the receptionist come off as a little condescending on the phone is not a good sign. I understand dental professionals like everyone else are in the business to make money, I get that, but when the second question coming out of a condescending receptionist is “do you have insurance?!” Feels almost like we are being treated as an object rather than human being. Maybe being a little less business like will help patients be more comfortable with dealing with these type of needed services.

Fantastic experience: Dr Dean was Doctor that fixed me up 7 years ago! But I find Doctor Norby to be just as pleasant!! Thinkin he take care of me as well

Fantastic experience: Best place to go if you are an anxious & nervous person as I am. My regular dentist called over & got me in right away (was just getting a temporary crown), but had another tooth that needed a crown until I broke it while eating. The tooth was no good now. Spent almost a week with this damaged tooth hurting me like crazy. Felt like tiny razor blades cutting into my gums. Oral Surgery made me feel right at home, got me in to the back, set up to the monitors, Dr came in started the IV & wasn’t 3 mins & I was asleep. Woke up thinking it wasn’t started yet!!! So, thank you for the no pain procedure! One of my top 3 places!!!! And thank you for getting me in within hours!!!!!

Fantastic experience: They have a welcoming reception when you walk in that are kind and efficient at getting your paper work ready and prepared. They have a nice and clean facility. Dr.Norby ,Stevie and Shayla did a great job at removing my four wisdom plus one extra badly infected tooth. They were kind and proficient at removing the teeth and infection. The follow up visit went just as well and informative as first walking in before the surgery. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have any type of dental surgery. They have a great facility and just as great of a staff.

Fantastic experience: Was referred here after 2 dentists spent almost an hour trying and couldn’t get my tooth out. Dr. Dean was amazing he was so kind and got the tooth out in what felt like only 30 seconds. I was terrified for this visit based off of how long things took and how much pain I was left in from the day prior but he was great. He made 100% sure I was numb and couldn’t feel a thing and he got the tooth out fast with no issues. Highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: New Patient Consult, before surgery, Nurse was very Through, Friendly, Dr. Seems Confident. Reasonably priced compared to other simular Services, nice Facility. Dental is never fun, but I recommend OS&IS. Keep in mind if you are referred they do not call out to make your appointment, you have to call them. Also pay attention to estimated costs for sedation is first 15 minutes, so could be higher. My daughter had her wisdom teeth pulled here and they did a good job. I seen Dr. Phillip's.

The surgeon was excellent and I had a painless tooth pull and am on my way to the finishing touches with my own dentist. My mother has had 2 teeth pulled there as well. Fantastic experience: Dr. Dean and crew were gracious enough to fit me in for a tooth extraction and implant procedure a week early , because unfortunately the tooth got infected and was causing a great deal of pain. They are a great staff and very personable and concerned about a patients comfort. Dr. Jeffrey Dean is a true pro! Accomplished the entire procedure in less than 20 minutes, pain free. He was constantly concerned that I was doing ok. I would highly reccomend him any day of the week. They are definitely a top notch facility!

Siouxland is very fortunate to have those kind of people to help you with your dental needs- I can't say enough how relaxed and comfortable they made me feel and explained everything - I left that day knowing I was in good hands and would have absolutely no anxiety about going back a second time.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly, professional crew from the receptionist to the young woman who helped me to my car on my wobbly legs. They put this old man to sleep and woke me back up after extracting a cracked molar and completing a sinus lift in preparation for a double implant. I highly recommend them. Fantastic experience: After having two extremely poor experiences with SCHC and Mercy with health care professionals that didn’t care or only looked at me as a time slot, I was finally taken care of here at the Oral Surgery center in the Dunes and not made to feel like a nuisance. Fantastic experience: My initial experience was fantastic. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. I am so glad I was referred here by Dr. Kiple, who is also wonderful. I consulted with Dr. Phillips, who took time to explain my procedure, answered all my questions and concerns enabling me to feel comfortable and confident about my upcoming appointment. He is the nicest person, as is the staff. Esperanza helped me with dates and times that would fit in with my current schedule-so sweet. Lacy went over all the possible financing options for me, which was extremely helpful. I had such a great time talking to everyone. I left feeling great!

Fantastic experience: I have been waiting to get my 4th wisdom tooth removed for last 20 years due to Dentist refusals because of infection that would happen the day of surgery. Dr. Nathan Phillips was professional and understanding with my situation and again I had an infection the day of appointment. He gave me my options on how I can go through the procedure, asleep or numbing and how long the wait could be if I chose to be put under. I opted for just the numbing because I really wanted the tooth removed and was tired of the pain and discomfort it was causing. Total visit was 1 hour altogether for paperwork, exam and prep. The whole staff was friendly and professional helped get me through paperwork without a hitch and gave some advice on insurance and also had my meds ordered before the procedure happened so I could walk out and have meds ready at the pharmacy. I cannot express my gratitude for them enough! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I am going to cut a long story short however I did want to get on here and rate my experience. I am 27 and have had a lot of work done on my mouth from emergency root canals, tooth extraction, an oral skin graft, and multiple routine root canals, cavities etc. Needless to say I developed a pretty intense feeling of anxiety when it comes to the dentist. I have two teeth that I feel might be difficult to get out so I put off going to the dentist for a really long time, well I began feeling pain when I drank or ate anything cold. So I got an appointment to be seen. While in the dental chair it was the first time I ever felt faint and like I was going to actually pass out. Jumping ahead to my appointment here they were super friendly, cleanly, and kind even without explaining my anxiety. The dentist that I saw was calm explained everything and patient with my questions. I definitely would recommend this place.

Preparation was quick and efficient, next thing I know I'm waking up with no pain, briefed on post-surgery issues, and my friend was driving me home. 12 hours later I'm very comfortable, no pain, and very thankful for the treatment received at Oral Surgery & Implants

Fantastic experience: Had a broken tooth and needed a oral surgeon to remove it. Had a very hard time finding place that would do it. Either with my insurance or paying out of pocket! They got me in the very next day. Thank God , it was throbbing bad! They are very professional here and Dr Dean was great! It was difficult getting broken tooth out but it all worked out wonderful! Fantastic experience: Dr. Thayer and his team, Mercedes and Claudea are excellent. They performed a tooth extraction and a bone graft, I highly recommend them. They talked me through the whole process telling me what to expect. They took their time and answer every question without rushing anything. Dr. Thayer showed he puts the patient first. At one point he actually got another doctor which I believe was Dr. Norby, who kindly gave his time to give a second opinion. If you want a great doctor, I would recommend Dr. Thayer. He was clear about the risks beforehand, and gave great instructions for aftercare in order to get me healthy as soon as possible. Fantastic experience: In the last few years I have had 5 Extractions and 5 Implants. These were painless procedures and painless post- operative recoveries. The counseling and care were outstanding. Both Dr. Dean and his staff were kind and considerate. I would recommend them to anyone needing oral surgery or implants. You won’t find better anywhere …. Because they are the best.
