Negative experience: I’m surprised this place has only 5 stars that absolutely boggles my mind. I had to have my wisdom teeth removed all four at one time and the experience was already stressful to begin with, but the facility made it 10 times more stressful than it had to be based off the lack of professionalism and compassion. To start off, I was simply trying to inform the doctor that I had some changes to my molar because the receptionist told me to let him know so the code could be updated for billing purposes since the last time they had seen me, one of the teeth was no longer fully impacted it, and had already rose to the surface. The doctor did not even look in my mouth and was like oh well it’s still probably impacted. We’re going to leave the code as is most likely because he makes more money from removing the impacted tooth. So that already gave me a shady feeling then when the doctor goes to place the IV he places it for some reason in the outside vein that’s the smallest vein and it’s incredibly uncomfortable for me. I tell him I have experience getting blood drawn and IVs all of the time and I don’t normally have pain that sends me through the roof. They go to try to push the drugs and I scream out bloody murder… they’re poking and prodding me that a nurse is putting some tube in my mouth and down my nose and I’m getting incredibly overwhelmed and over sensitized to the point I start to cry. Instead of showing an ounce of remorse, understanding or compassion the doctor basically ignored me and acted like I needed to suck it up. At this point, I’m in and out of consciousness, and I realize that he finally listens and goes to re-stick me with the IV in my hand later. Which would have been a lot less stressful on me if he had just taken my advice and listened to my knowledge about my own body. I always seem to have issues when doctors and nurses place an IV and they are arrogant and think that they are so perfect and can’t make a mistake that it’s not anyway uncomfortable for the patient but if I’m screaming out in pain telling you that you need to restick me and I’m the one that has to have the catheter in my arm for a long period of time. I think the patient’s comfort should be a priority instead of trying to prove a point that you think that you are right Or wrong. Even if I was about to be sedated, I am a human being, and I deserve to be treated with an ounce of respect. Of course that was already stressful enough, but The icing on the cake was when me and my driver went to go pick up my medication‘s from the pharmacy they had just called them in so they were not ready for pick up. They had not called in the pain medicine at all so I had to go back and forth between calling the pharmacy and the provider because nobody wanted to take accountability . so I had to go all day without any medication whatsoever including pain meds my jaw was swollen shut I couldn’t open and close it I was having trouble even swallowing my own saliva and I had to get a second ride all the way back to Dunn at 7 PM to get my freaking pills. Considering my surgery was scheduled for 10 am That is absolutely unacceptable that on the first day when someone is in the most pain that you guys do not have your stuff together and make sure that that person is discharged with active prescriptions ready for pick up. I also have mental trauma from remembering them yanking my molars out of my mouth with brute force. Having surgery is already traumatic enough without having to deal with all of these extra stressors from your provider please bear this in mind if you are going to go to this facility and if you work for this facility, please be more mindful of how you are treating someone who is going under just because you think they are semi unconscious does not mean they will not remember your actions later and the majority of the mistreatment happened before I was even sedated

Fantastic experience: Teeth extractions were great. Had a major issue between two molars that had been put off for years and resulted in the need for extractions. Consult covered all the topics of concern and outlined the treatment plan, and day of care went smoothly and quickly. Great place to go when bad things happen in your mouth!

Fantastic experience: I had a tooth extraction done today at NC Oral Surgery +Orthodontics-Dunn and I couldn’t be more pleased with the entire process. The staff there was very professional and friendly. Dr.Costner explained the procedure clearly and ensured that I was comfortable throughout the process. The extraction to my surprise was extremely quick and painless. I do highly recommend this practice to anyone needing dental work.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here since the 8th grade for my braces and I have always had great service. The orthodonist is super nice and does a great job. Even when I came back to want to get my braces back on because I didn’t like one part of my teeth, he offered me free service for it. The assistants are nice also and do a good job on putting on my wire and every else. Great place!

Fantastic experience: The care I received here for my Invisalign treatment was top notch! The front desk staff is always kind and inviting, and everyone in the back is equally amazing. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for orthodontic treatment to come here! My treatment took a little longer than expected, but Dr. Hart wanted to make sure he had my teeth just right. Positive experience: The only downside was the tool that the nurse and doctor use to hold your tongue out of the way…they were sticking it too far down my throat which caused discomfort and minimal pain.

The plan from beginning to end was well explained, and I was given a chance to ask all questions. The beginning process of an implant was started on first appt. This office is well run, and the staff are very friendly. From check-in to check- out, it was great.

Fantastic experience: I’m not sure how Dr Costner did it but I had 4 teeth extracted 1 week ago and it was relatively pain free. The staff was supportive and efficient and Dr Costner was kind and supportive as well.

Positive experience: My son is new to NCOSO for braces, however, I can tell I already like Dr Hart. He took the time to get to know a little about my son and his hobbies, making us feel a little less like just a patient being pushed through.

Fantastic experience: The staff is very friendly and comforting. I had my procedure 2 days ago and haven’t felt an annoying pain in my mouth like I usually do with other places. Dr.Ryan is really good at prescribing the right meds for me to take after the procedure to be comfortable at home. (And he’s cute which is always a plus) I’ll recommend them to everyone and go back if I need anything else done.

Fantastic experience: This is the best dental office I have ever been to, I recently switched offices due to poor experiences. The staff here at this office are very friendly. They offered the best experience here, and did not disappoint! Very clean as well and organized. Their team works together to perform the best job. The assistant kazandra, she was super sweet during my last visit, she gave me some very helpful information that I had no clue about. It’s always nice going to a new place and learning new things.

Fantastic experience: I have been looking for an orthodontist to remove the anchors from my teeth from invisalign treatments that I did years ago with another orthodontist who is no longer in business. I received multiple replies that I had to go back to whoever installed the invisalign in the first place, leaving me discouraged that I would have these bumps on my teeth for the rest of my life! They really took care of me here, as well as offered me free advice about the grinding issue that I have (not trying to sell anything either). I didn't have to wait longer than 3 minutes upon arrival, and my day was sincerely brightened due to the true kindness that I was shown here.
