Negative experience: VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE WHEN THEY PICK UP THE PHONE LIKE ITS A PROBLEM OR YOU CALLING THEM GETTING ON THEY NERVOUS THIS YOUR JOB NOT MINES PICK ANOTHER ONE MY SON BEEN GOING HERE SINCE 1 YEARS OLD AND NOW IM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THEM AND WHEN HE BE SEEN THEY DONT REALLY DO MUCH LIKE OTHER DENTIST IT BE A WAIST OF TIME IM CHANGING HIS DENSTI TODAY AND I CALL AROUND ABOUT GETTING CAPS PUT ON APPARENTLY THEY THE ONLY DENTIST THAT DONT PUT THEM ON THEY SEND YOU TOO CHILDREN HOSPITAL AND MAKE YOU PAY A BOOKING FEE WHICH IS $150 I NEVER PAID THE FIRST TIME BUT THE SECOND TIME I GOTTA PAY HUH??? BUT IM DONE WITH THIS DENTIST ON TO THE NEXT I FOUND BETTER THEY CLEAN AND LOOK FOR CAVITY AND PUT CAPS ON THEY SELF THEY DONT AND I SHOULD’VE KNOWN

Negative experience: They usually are good, but I didn’t like waiting for 2 1/2 hours and I had to go to work. True my kids had appointments 30 mins apart, but why would you even schedule siblings 30mins apart. They only told me 10:30. They didn’t say my other child was at 11, because I definitely would have been like hold on, give me an earlier time because I have to go to work. I mean the service was ok, but the wait was long and this isn’t the first time.

Fantastic experience: The staff is amazing! They really make my son feel good when he’s there. Can’t think of the Dentist name off the top of my head, but he is absolutely the best!

Positive experience: There should be a procedure in place for the patients that become disruptive cleaning/services. I can imagine its distracting for other patients as well as the nurses attempting to service their own patients.

Negative experience: The service from this location has gone down since 2024. The morning front desk staff needs some serious training on insurance and customer service. It was also hard to schedule a date because there aren’t enough dental techs to assist patients. I changed to Children and Teens Dental of Alabama and they are awesome. Their front desk staff actually calls the insurance company for you and they make contact BEFORE your appointment if there are any issues with the insurance information. The staff was awesome, the equipment is top-notch, and the staff works extremely well with children with autism.

Fantastic experience: This office is professional and polite. Very informative of preventative methods.There wasn't a long wait time. My child is never nervous. So that makes our experience great!!!

Negative experience: I faced considerable difficulties locating this building, initially arriving at the VA building across the street. Despite this, I maintained communication with the dentist office and was assured that my arrival was acceptable. However, upon arriving, the front desk attendant informed me that I would need to reschedule, citing a strict 10-minute grace period. I was disappointed, particularly given that this was my first visit and the staff I spoke with indicated that I could arrive without issue. Unfortunately, they demonstrated limited flexibility, and I was forced to leave with my 3 and 4-year-old children, having traveled a considerable distance. As a result, I will not return and am currently seeking alternative dental care options for my children.

Always makes her feel comfortable. Very clean. Very knowledgeable. Answered not only my questions, but my daughter's questions with the same degree of respect and patience. I definitely recommend for anyone that needs a good pediatric dentist.

Fantastic experience: My child is 4 and it's no walk in the park when it comes to the dentist, but this visit was good despite his tantrums. The person that cleaned his teeth this time was patient with him, and also reassured me that it will get better. I am horrible with names, but she was very sweet.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience at Birmingham Pediatric Dental Associates! The front desk staf, were so welcoming and helpful from the moment we walked in. Both of my daughters hygienist (Tanisha and Ariel) were amazing—gentle, patient, and made them feel completely at ease. The hygiene assistant (whose name I didn’t catch) was also fantastic and very attentive. The whole team made our visit smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

I liked the dentist so much I am going to start bringing all 3 of my kids here!

The employees are very patient and professional, I was allowed to be with my child the whole visit, and the employees did everything they could to make him feel comfortable. The facility is also clean and there is lots of encouraging art and decorations throughout the building. My child's visit went by very briefly and pleasant.

Fantastic experience: This is one of the very best Doctors office of any kind, it is simply a model for all to follow. I took two kids and both were very satisfied with the treatment and both kids have two different temperaments. Very personal and ease of process. Someone got this right.

Teniesha was our tech today she was extremely gentle yet she did an excellent job with her cleaning technique! with My daughter complimented how gentle she was with her. You can tell she loves what she does! We've been a patient here since 2013 & they have yet to disappoint!

Fantastic experience: They're great! Been taking my daughter here for years. We usually get in and out in under an hour. It's downtown near UAB and they have parking. They have games for kids to play in the waiting room. They send reminders for appointments and are generally very nice people.

Negative experience: Very disappointed. Both of my children had an appointment on today, 10am and 10:30. I got the email for both of my kids and I confirmed both. Got to the building and they had nothing to show for my 10:30 appointment after I showed proof I got the email and I confirmed. They made me reschedule. Very disappointed!!!

Fantastic experience: Literally , we scheduled and appointment via phone at 9am, we were seen by 3 pm the same day and walking out one hour later! We got two crown placements the same day! They were so good and patient during the process! The staff from the initial phone call that morning until we left were so pleasant ! This is what you call top tier service (& i don’t say that often). Thank you to the whole team that provided service for us today and providing relief for our little one !

Fantastic experience: Our experience at Pediatric Dental Associates is ALWAYS OUTSTANDING! My kids were apprehensive about going to their routine dental check up years ago when we first started going but now, they love it when they have a dental checkup. The entire staff always makes them feel at ease and listens to/understands my son's special "request" for non-sweet toothpaste. They patiently allow him to tell them what he likes/doesn't like and it's a win/win for all which results in a very happy family! Also, the kiddos absolutely LOVE the gaming console area!!! I definitely highly recommend Pediatric Dental Associates to other families.

Fantastic experience: Our local pediatric dentist has complications with our daughter's dental work and referred us to Pediatric Dental Associates of Birmingham......... Immediately the first interaction was pleasant. The assistant over the phone got us into an appointment for the next day that worked with our 2 hour commute! When we arrived at the office, we had no wait time, and every person we encountered was extremely friendly. . . . The atmosphere was great and although my six year old had to endure several different dental procedures, they were great with smiles, patience, confidence, and understanding that provided us with the best experience imaginable.......... To note, our daughter is on the spectrum and the wonderful job that they did to make it a pleasurable experience for her deserves an applause (aka great review). Thanks Pediatric Dental Associates of Birmingham. We do not want any other dental issues with our children but if we do encounter any, we'll definitely be making the two hour commute back to your location!

Fantastic experience: It was very clean and it smelled good and the services was fantastic and we in and out and they was very mannerly and very respectful and also very good with kids and care about there kids and meeting the child’s need before doing anything else and getting permission and don’t mind you asking questions ☺️

Fantastic experience: take your kids here ! i absolutely love this place. i found them about 1 1/2 ago when my daughter was having a dental emergency. they got her scheduled for the very next morning. they are fast & very efficient. very nice staff. i can tell my toddler is comfortable here. she loves coming here ! plus they give cute rubber duckies every visit free bath toys !

Fantastic experience: This place is absolutely amazing from the front staff to back staff. My son is 4 and needed dental work asap and his original pediatric dentist kept prolonging his appointment, I called PDA on a Monday and he had his appointment by Tuesday and dental work done the same day. My baby is able to eat and drink just like should now thanks to PDA !

Negative experience: My kids were going here when it was Just kids Dental and we loved it! Now not so much all they care about is money and charge $45 per child for a missed appt fee. We were clients there for almost 8 years and in the 8 years we only missed two appts and they wanted to charge us $90. I decided to pull my kids and take them somewhere else. If they would've announced their policies before hand we would've left a long time ago. Stay away from these money hungry people.

Negative experience: The facility and staff is nice BUT the dental work is not done properly. My child had 1 cavity that had to be filled. We had to go back two different times because it wasn’t set properly. We visited another dentist because her gum developed an infection and the tooth that was already “fixed” twice was infected and had to be pulled. Extremely upsetting that my child has to go through this.

Fantastic experience: My experience was very good and every one was so nice and friendly. My son appointment was at 8am and we was gone at 8:35 so they had us in a out. Nice place to take your kids.
