I love Lee Daniel, his hygienist who I had been with for about 22 years at another practice . Lee does an amazing job cleaning your teeth. She is kind and cares for her patients As does Dr. Murchie. They make an incredible team. I have not left my other dentist but I have come here because of Lee; however, I am not opposed to seeing Dr Murchie. He was so kind to me the first time I was at his practice. I was there to have my teeth cleaned just before starting Chemo for breast cancer. He asked if I objected to his saying a short prayer for me. I was very touched by his kindness. I highly recommend this dental practice.

Fantastic experience: Peter is awesome as always. He’s known my entire family and been our family dentist for well over 15 years and we wouldn’t have it any other way. He always shows interest in knowing how the whole family is doing. I’ve also worked for him doing various electrical additions or repairs in the past. Also, both hygienists I had were very comforting and knowledgeable. The office ladies are amazing as well. Peter always surrounds himself with the best staff. But above all he genuinely cares for his patients and their personal well being, along with getting you to that pearly white chompers level. So get to know the guy and let him put his hands in your mouth.

Fantastic experience: This was, I think, my third visit to Goochland Dentistry. Each one has been very positive. The staff is attentive / pleasant, technically competent and professional. The technology used for their work is top notch. Nobody looks forward to 'dentist day' but I have to say my cleanings here have been actually pleasant. We're pretty close by, in terms of geography but if you're a bit further away, it's worth the drive to make Goochland Dentistry your practice.

Negative experience: I arrived today at 3:20 for a 3:30 appt and I wasn’t called until 3:45. Was told that they had a busy day. Then I was told I needed pictures taken. They technician did not know how to operate the device. Had to call the guy in the next room over to show her. It took forever for her to scan the bottom teeth with a wand device and she asked another person to do the top teeth. I was so upset, the pulling on my mouth over and over. No one asked how I was, I was experiencing dizziness from the chair back so far. The two women were behind me working on the images while I laid there waiting. I just sat up said I was dizzy and that I was done. Teeth never got cleaned and had to reschedule. I don’t know if the staff changed but I didn’t know anyone. My experience today was terrible. Im coming in for the rescheduled cleaning and will decide then what my options are.

The only thing I don't like is that they have added new dentists, and you don't know who you are going to see when you go in. I have made it clear to staff that I only want to see my dentist, but I continue to see other dentists. I like to see the same person everytime I go. There was nothing wrong with the others. Yesterday I had an appointment with a new to me dentist standing in for Goochland Dentistry along with a recently added assistant to the practice. I had never met them prior. You might be thinking oh boy how’s this going to work out. But at Goochland Dentistry you don’t have to worry about stuff like that. No matter who you’re working with you know you’re getting the best. My new team worked well together and the result was excellent. I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Coupled with the knowledgeable people in the front office and the congeniality of the entire practice you can be assured of receiving the best dental care possible! And a great experience. The assistants are also great at explaining what they'll be doing next, which makes me feel comfortable and informed. I especially love that they take pictures of my teeth and display them on a TV screen so I can see my oral health in real-time. It's a thoughtful touch that shows they care about both my comfort and understanding of my dental care. The front receptionist is also very helpful and always willing to help accommodate my busy schedule.
