Fantastic experience: The staff at Pelican Dental Care makes going to the dentist a surprisingly great experience. Nandie at the front desk is so sweet and welcoming, and the hygienists are awesome. Nelly made me feel comfortable and Jackie is hilarious. Everyone genuinely cares. I also love that they have an after-hours texting line for members, which is such a nice touch and shows how much they go above and beyond. Best dental team ever!

Fantastic experience: I just had my first visit to Pelican dental after 6 years of avoiding the dentist, and I was a little nervous as to what they would find. The dental assistant, Nelly, was extremely pleasant and she made sure I was comfortable throughout the process due to my toothache/cavity. Dr. Perez was very knowledgeable and explained the next steps I will need to take to save my tooth, and how to take better care of all my teeth. I signed up for their annual plan which is an amazing offer. I highly recommend Pelican dental if you’re in the market for a great dentist

Negative experience: My daughters and I have been patients at Pelican Dental in Vero Beach for several years and have consistently received excellent care from Dr. Liliana Perez. She is kind, patient, professional, and truly wonderful with both adults and children. Our loyalty to this practice has always been because of her. Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience today when I called to make an appointment. The front desk staff member, Luis, was extremely rude and unprofessional. He repeatedly interrupted me during the conversation, spoke down to me as if I did not understand what was being discussed, and his tone was condescending throughout the call. To make matters worse, he abruptly hung up on me after the conversation ended. This behavior was completely uncalled for and does not reflect the level of care and professionalism we have come to expect from this office. I hope management addresses this, as front-desk interactions are a critical part of a patient’s experience. Dr. Liliana is exceptional, and it would be unfortunate for patient relationships to be negatively affected by poor customer service.

Negative experience: Very bad experience. I do not recommend this clinic to anyone. Problems started from the very first contact — already during the initial phone call, but I will get back to that later. The main issue, however, is the poor quality of dental work. I needed three fillings and a crown replacement. After the treatment, I experienced discomfort in all three teeth, and one of them hurt so badly that it was painful even when my upper and lower teeth touched. I went to another dentist for a second opinion to check that tooth. As a result: the tooth still had untreated decay + an incorrectly done filling, which was the tooth causing the severe pain. Everything was redone, and the pain disappeared the same day. I am still going to check my other 2 teeth. During the crown replacement, the temporary crown was placed by someone who was not the doctor (possibly a dental assistant, but I don't know for sure). In addition, the assistant behaved very unprofessionally. She heard me warn the doctor in advance that I could faint if my head was positioned lower than my legs. When the doctor left the room, the assistant made strange jokes, including saying that “sleeping in a bed is not for me.” After this experience — both the treatment and the communication — I decided to have the permanent crown done at a different clinic. I requested a refund at least for one tooth and a crown release, but still waiting for a response. It's been several business days at the time of posting this review. Regarding communication: the female receptionist is polite and professional; however, every time a male staff member answers the phone, problems arise. In the initial conversation, he stated that if I was late to my first appointment, I would not only be charged a $25 fee, but would never be allowed to schedule an appointment at this clinic again. In another call, when I requested my X-rays, he said the waiting time was 24 hours, even though previously I received X-rays immediately when requesting them in person. When I tried to clarify whether I could get them sooner by coming in person, he repeatedly stated that the call was being recorded, despite my answering him multiple times. Later, he accused me of being hostile, even though the only thing I did was repeat the same question about receiving X-ray in person and he never answered it. Overall, every interaction with this clinic comes with problems — not only in treatment, but also in communication. For these reasons, I cannot recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: My husband Dr. Walter Janke and I have been patients of Pelican Dental Care and Liliana Perez D.M.D. for over 8 years. We wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else. Everyone in the office goes above and beyond to take care of our needs. I am most impressed with their after hours service as well. They do everything to fit you in when you need emergency attention. Ps. I love their Loyalty Program. Do give the office a call. We are more than happy with Dr. Perez and her team. We even look forward to our cleanings.

Fantastic experience: Nandie is great office clean and awesome staff

Negative experience: Liliana and Sandra truly care about their customers. However, my experience with her son, Luis, was very disappointing. I was simply trying to reschedule an appointment, and he hung up on me in the middle of the conversation. It felt like he didn’t care about the situation at all, just about a $25 fee, even if it meant losing a 15-year customer. I’m sorry for Liliana, because Luis definitely doesn’t represent the quality of service she provides.

Fantastic experience: We had an emergency on Thanksgiving morning and Dr Perez came in just for us. She was very compassionate and caring and made sure we got relief and medication for our discomfort.

Fantastic experience: I was here for a tooth removal and implant process, I had Jackie and Dr. Liliana doing my all my procedures and they were so extremely kind and very understanding of my fear of needles, when they’d need to numb my tooth they would hold my hand and remind me to breath because I would always hold my breath, and Jackie would walk me through what they were going to be doing at the beginning of each visit. Everyone here is amazing and it’s safe to say I have found my go to dentist for the foreseeable future!

The after hours office promptly called me back and we were able to get in on Easter Sunday, the next day!!! The office was clean and the staff of Dr. Liliana and Dr. Perez we're phenomenal!!! Negative experience: I am an exciting patient (almost a full year) and my insurance got terminated becausei changed jobs. I got new insurance and was denied an appointment because they are not accepting new insurance even though its the same insurance company. Very VERY disappointed and will be going elsewhere for my dental needs.

Negative experience: I needed to find a dentist in Vero. After speaking multiple times on the phone with Dr Perez Son about the membership I was convinced. He was very nice! I then went there to meet Dr Perez to go over what I needed 2 crowns. She was very good when speaking with her and I decided to schedule the procedure. I proceeded with my first cleaning and the staff and hygienist were good. I then went 1 week later for my procedure. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE! I was in the chair for 3hrs .Dr Perez was so rough! She kept stopping and giving me more shots and it was still hurting! My legs were shaking awful experience! I then had to go back and get my new crowns and I was nervous to say the least! Once again the staff was nice but then Dr Perez came in never said hi? Sat down said open your mouth she was so rough once again stretching my mouth like never before,she then dropped 1 of my new crowns which I almost swallowed yelling Don't close your mouth! She is the roughest Dentist I have ever had! Also my 88 yr old mother had gone there and told me how rough she was and would never return.i should have listened to mom!! I will never recommend her to anyone!

I have found my forever Dentist and office at Pelican Dental. The facility is spotless clean and the entire staff welcoming and friendly. I also compared prices over the past year and found Pelican to be at least half of what other Dental offices charge for their procedures if you join one of the plans they offer. Which are very reasonably priced. On my FIRST visit I had my complete exam, complete set of xrays AND my teeth cleaned all in ONE day! I give m highest recommendation to Pelican Dental and can't wait to go back for my teeth whitening in 2 days. Oh, and last but not least.. but very important to me. This office is owned by Dr. Perez and is not corporate owned! You will love ❤️ this office... trust me!

Negative experience: I filled out a 2 minute form online from their advertisement with what I wanted. The next day I was texted by the office (or a hired agency) to answer some more questions and to get a $25 deposit for my appointment. I was asked 3 repeat questions that I already filled out on the questionnaire. It seemed odd that if I already answered these questions online, why am I being asked the very same questions again. In this day and age when scammers are rampant and it’s hard for people to decipher between what is safe and what isn’t, I asked why I being asked the questions again when I already answered those questions on their online form. This was the response……….. It is clinical policy that if a patient shows to be rude unfortunately we cannot offer you appointments at this time. Your reservation fee will be refunded to you immediately. - To unsubscribe at any time simply reply STOP Thankfully this office showed right away what type of people they employ. Imagine if you’re a patient with a problem? Looks like they would just dismiss you and move on. No thanks Pelican Dental.

Negative experience: This office deserves less than 1 star after the experience I had today. Do not bring your children here! They will NOT allow you back with your kids. They advised me to take my 12 yr old somewhere else. They lost business with a whole family today.

The front desk staff is amazing when it comes to making an appointment that fits my schedule and so quick and easy to get an appointment. The membership plan saved me a lot of heart ache with not having dental insurance. It's so affordable to start, the pricing makes sense when it comes to just check ups, and the 40% discount every time you need work. It's fantastic! The dentists and assistants are so very friendly and informative about every single detail of the work being done. They always have a smile on their face and you feel welcomed from the time you step foot in the door to when you are leaving. This office became highly recommended to my family and in experience is the best dental office in Vero Beach. Coming from my 8 year old daughter, this is the best dentist ever!
