Fantastic experience: Did everything I wanted and more. Couldn’t have asked for anything better than what was provided for me. Dr. Hulse took his time to achieve my goals. Wanted my gap closed and he did exactly that. Dental assistants were very helpful and nice. Great experience. More confident in my smile. Already have recommended this place to family and friends. Will be back for a cleaning soon!!

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough great things about my experience with Austin Artistic Dental and Dr. Hulse. Since birth, I was missing adult teeth on my bottom and only had bonding put over the top which never looked good and was only meant for a temporary fix. I always wanted it fixed and over the years, no exaggeration, I probably had about 20 consults with different dentists/surgeons in different states as I moved around. I never was impressed with what was proposed until I finally met Dr. Hulse - and I’m so glad I did! Not only did he fix my bottom teeth but he also did a smile makeover on my top teeth. Dr. Hulse is truly an artist - at the beginning I sort of had a picture in my mind of what he may do, but when I saw the final result I was wowed that he had exceeded those expectations. I couldn’t have asked for a better result! He also adjusted my bite, which feels really comfortable and in my opinion helped to improve the aesthetics of my chin/jaw. The other thing I loved about Austin Artistic Dental is how professional their office is. Stephanie, who was my main point of contact, made me feel like she was my own personal concierge - she answered every question I had so quickly and so thoroughly. I think this was a huge part of my experience and I’m really thankful for her. All of the staff is great and reassuring, the dental assistants are really sweet and make you feel less anxious during your visits. Overall if you are looking for a dental office that will give you outstanding results with great communication and friendly staff I highly recommend Austin Artistic Dental. Im so excited with my results most of all and I have already gotten so many compliments on my new smile!

Fantastic experience: I went to Dr. Hulse to improve my smile. I chose the Bioclear method to preserve tooth structure based on Dr. Hulse’s recommendation. Before the procedure, I was a little concerned about how natural my smile would look. After a three hour procedure, I am delighted and super thrilled to see the outcome. My teeth and smile look so natural! The procedure has way exceeded my expectations. Dr. Hulse is exceptionally talented, artistic, meticulous, gentle, very patient and a great person. The staff was also very kind, patient and understanding. Everyone made me feel very comfortable throughout the visit. This has been my most pleasant experience at a dentist so far. Also, Dr. Hulse was kind enough to cleanup after a prior shabby dental work done many years ago overseas. Fantastic experience: I’d been considering having work done on my teeth for awhile but didn’t know where to start. Then I saw Dr Hulse on tv and decided to send in a photo. That’s all it took. Dr Hulse is an amazing cosmetic dentist. The procedures he’s performed have been virtually painless and have resulted in a beautiful smile that has done wonders to restore my confidence as well as my overall health. My only regret is why didn’t I do this sooner??

Fantastic experience: First off Dr. Hulse is a fantastic dentist. Made me feel extremely comfortable and he was extremely gentle during my visit. I am someone who requires a lot of dental work due to other medical conditions acquired through other unfortunate circumstances and Dr. Hulse was extremely understanding and knowledgeable to my situation. Fantastic experience: I had braces and Invisalign and still had a black triangle between my two front teeth. It drove me absolutely insane even though it was small! I found Dr. Hulse on TikTok and sent him some pictures of my teeth… he responded so fast and sent me a personalized video! It just so happened to work out that my brother lives in Austin, but I flew from New York to Austin to have my bioclear treatment done by Dr. Hulse! It was an amazing experience from start to finish, and absolutely worth the time and travel. I’m so happy with my results!

Fantastic experience: My experience with Austin Artistic Dental has been exceptional. The front desk staff are so friendly, and the work and care I have received from Dr. Hulse has been absolutely outstanding. I went in initially to ask about options for restoring my front teeth, which had been ground down due to bruxism, and for replacing old composite with something longer lasting. I was really impressed how much care Dr. Hulse put into the initial consultation, and honestly it sold me on getting the cosmetic work I had been wanting for years. Throughout the process I felt like the entire staff really wanted to make sure I was happy with the outcome, and were incredibly patient and understanding when I decided I wanted to change course a bit. I appreciate that Dr. Hulse emphasizes the health of your teeth and functionality of your bite in addition to cosmetics, and he is one of the first cosmetic dentists I met with who was willing to take a conservative approach in order to achieve a natural outcome. My teeth look beautiful and natural and have made me feel like I have my smile back from before grinding down my teeth. I definitely recommend if you need any cosmetic work done.

Dr. Hulse spent a lot of time with me going over treatment options and I can see why he is a top cosmetic dentist in his field. *I also did a virtual consultation prior to coming into the office, and I highly recommend it if you are considering cosmetic dentistry. I received a video response back from Dr. Hulse very quickly, and not only was it was very thorough, but it exceeded my expectations. While in the office discussing my options and various costs with him, I never felt pressured in any way to make an immediate decision. He did a great job taking time to explain everything to me, making sure I didn't have any additional questions or concerns, and I never felt like I was being rushed through the appointment. Now after seeing my "smile preview" today, I just can't wait to come back and get started! :)

Fantastic experience: I look back at old pictures of my previous veneers and ask myself “who is that?”. It’s in the name - Dr. Hulse’s artistry is unmatched and is truly your best option if you want cosmetic dentistry that looks natural and feels like “you”. I came to Dr. Hulse in 2023 to discuss my fears of a darkened veneer that was just shy of a year old. After discovering that this veneer had failed, Dr. Hulse kindly wrote a letter to my previous dentist explaining the issue, which ultimately helped me receive a refund. That kind of care and advocacy meant so much. My new veneers are perfect; saying I couldn’t see myself without them is an understatement. I wouldn’t change a thing. The shape is exactly what I wanted. The process was easy and Dr. Hulse took the time to get every aspect perfect - color, shape, fit. Not only is he and his entire staff talented and knowledgeable, they are also kind and warm people. It is lovely to see all of them each time I come in! I have since made this my permanent dental office. I have done everything from cleanings, fillings, Kor whitening treatments to Invisalign and cosmetic work. I get compliments almost daily on my smile. You won’t regret this investment in yourself! :)

Fantastic experience: After visiting many dentists in the Austin area, I finally found Dr. Hulse and I’m extremely grateful to have found him. I had a gap between my teeth and I wanted to get this fixed as I’m getting married. I opted for the video consultation initially before mocking on to in-person consultation. The consult was very detailed and Dr. Hulse gave me multiple options that I could choose from based on my needs and budget. I could make appointments very easily and the reception here is exceptional too! My entire procedure was complete in 3 visits within a month and I’m so happy with the results! Fantastic experience: I have always struggled with finding quality dental care. My wife (who is super picky about this kind of stuff) chose this place for me to get my veneers and I don't regret it one bit! My biggest concern was having veneers that would stand out as unnatural or too perfect. Dr. Hulse is a ln artist at heart. I couldn't be happier with my teeth. I am moving back to Seattle but will still fly here to see him for my dental work just because of how good he is. Golden people are hard to find and you gotta hold on to them when you find them. I highly recommend coming here. you won't regret it! And last but not least, the staff here is amazing. Best support staff I have ever met. They keep up with everything, and made me feel welcomed.

Fantastic experience: I am super afraid of going to see the dentist. I’m afraid of the sights, smells, tools, needles, pain, and cost to see them. I was really nervous and met the hygienist first. We talked about my teeth, my concerns, what I would fix if I could. She was super sweet and made sure I was doing okay during x rays, photos and through a somewhat painful gum exam. Once she was done the dentist came in. He already knew I was fearful and asked how I was doing. We talked about how I wanted my smile to look. He looked at the photos of my teeth on a screen in front of me so I could see what he was talking about and how he could fix what is wrong with my teeth. That was nice as some dentists just say oh you need this and that done and that’s it and you never see a X-ray or a photo to see what they see. He examined my teeth and suggested a game plan. I then went up front and talked about what I wanted to take care of now and how much it would be. I’m overwhelmed with how much it will cost me to do what I want to make me love my smile again. I will get the deep cleaning and crowns I need and then go from there. Everyone at the office was very nice and made sure I was comfortable which I appreciated a lot.

Fantastic experience: Dr Jarett Hulse is truly an Artist. At nearly 83 I have had plenty of experience with Dentists and their care, Dr. Hulse is by far the Best. His staff is First Rate also. From the beginning with a very thorough examination and explanation of what would be done through the entire procedure everything was comfortable and well explained and done to perfection. Fantastic experience: I took a bad tumble which resulted in my front tooth cracking in half which was very traumatic for me. My husband did a great job trying to find the right place for us to go in order to get some guidance. The office itself is very bright and beautiful. The playlist was VERY vibey, so kudos there, it was a nice distraction from my reality. No matter what role they played, the entire team was outstanding. Fantastic experience: I had a great experience there for my first visit. The dental assistant was great, very quick and efficient. Dr. Hulse has a very calm and understanding demeanor that really helped my nerves, he’s very easy to understand, and honestly I felt a lot better after he checked my mouth and explained a couple of things to me. Fantastic experience: I found Dr. Hulse on TikTok and quickly signed up for a free virtual consult on his site. I uploaded a photo of my smile and got a personalized 5+ minute video from him within an hour—so impressive! I immediately booked an in-person consult ($99 deposit), where he created a “smile test drive” using composite bonding so I could actually see and feel what veneers would look like. It lasted a couple of hours and totally sold me—way better than just seeing a digital mockup. Dr. Hulse is incredibly knowledgeable, generous with his time, and made me feel so seen. The office isn’t fancy, but the experience absolutely is. 10/10—I’m moving forward with him for my veneers!

Positive experience: I really enjoy Dr. Hulse’s office and staff. I have an update; It’s been a few years since I had a cavity filled, which at the time, was undetected by myself. After Dr. filled it in I noticed the texture felt different than my other fillings. It was a rough texture, my others are glossy and sleek. Upon asking I was told it would smooth. It hasn’t and now I actually feel like I have a cavity. My other fillings that I had when I was a kid are still smooth and holding. He did a great job renewing an old chipped tooth repair I had. But I do think it was sawed down a little too much. It points inward more than my other front tooth that points down. He helped me develop a game plan for my Lock jaw and grinding habits. They do great work. My hygienist Megan is wonderful. They are very thoughtful about keeping us safe during these COVID times. My insurance doesn’t offer any great dentists but I found Artistic Dental on google maps. I have seen them 5 times in the past few months and it feels like most things are on the house. They have care credit which helped me make payments on my night guard, filling a cavity, and renewing my chip repair and it has all been affordable and easy going. Dr. Hulse has great referrals to specialists and will work as a team to for the overall care of my mouth! Thank you for y’alls care.

Fantastic experience: I came to Austin Artistic Dental for 10 veneers on top and 8 on the bottom. I had a great overall experience here and very happy with the final results. I have had a long, complicated dental history, with many problems/issues. I was hoping for a long-term solution and a fresh, natural looking smile. Dr Hulse and his team provided pragmatic advice on how to proceed at all stages and he took his time to work on the overall treatment plan. I was quite thorough with my initial canvassing when looking for a dentist to go through the veneers process. Dr Hulse had a long history in this process and all the results looked great, both vibrant/white but still natural looking. He was also the only dentist to check in with my periodontist related to a prior gum graft to ensure there would be no issues with my veneers. Couldn't be happier with how things turned out!

Fantastic experience: My first visit today with Austin Artistic Dental. Very professional dental staff; Dr. Hulce is very patient and nice. He thoroughly communicates his procedure process.

Negative experience: I have two dental insurances but still end up paying at least one hundred dollars after a cleaning. I recently received another bill and a rude voice mail message that my appointment was canceled. I have gone to this dentist for almost a decade. He is good but he has terrible office staff.

Negative experience: This review is about a year late, but after receiving an advertisement in the mail from this clinic that stated they were “no judgment and no lectures,” I thought I’d leave a review about my first and only visit. My visit left me feeling judged and discouraged from revisiting. I specifically went to Austin Artistic Dental because down the road I did want to under go a cosmetic procedure, however I understood I needed to take care of my dental health first to make sure my teeth were prepared for cosmetics, but felt that starting a rapport with the dentist early on would be helpful. I was met with a dental hygienist who was trying to educate me on the standard flossing and brushing but would make remarks like “you’re right, you do floss before brushing, at least someone taught you something right.” I felt very judged in the moment regarding what I knew about my teeth, instead of educating on what I can do differently. When I met with Dr. Hulse, I felt judgement as well when it came to financials. I understand that I am young and was inquiring about an expensive procedure, but Dr. Hulse asked questions like “are your parents in the waiting room?” and “Are your parents going to help you pay for this?”. Once again, I understand the work is expensive and he wants to make sure the patients understand the cost, but I felt as if he didn’t take me seriously. I had high hopes going into this appointment, but left disappointed and judged. While my cleaning went great and I learned a lot about my condition from Dr. Hulse, the comments really bothered me and left a sore taste in my mouth about this clinic. The dentist office can be an uncomfortable place, especially for those of us with cosmetic issues and a feeling of judgement everywhere we go. The last place people we would want to judge us, is the professionals who vowed to help us and make us feel comfortable.

Fantastic experience: The absolute best dentist! My mouth was in bad shape and when I went to him, it turns out it was actually worse than I thought. Dr. Hulse was very kind and gentle, and didn't make me feel ashamed of the state I'd gotten myself in. Now I actually fly to him from another state because when you find the best, you keep the best. Cannot recommend enough!

Fantastic experience: Update! I recently went in for a routine visit and am reminded of what a great dental experience this office provides. Thanks Dr. Hulse for making me feel so comfortable even while in a dentist’s chair. I've seen Dr. Hulse many times over the past few years, and every time has been a painless, relaxing, and pleasant experience - and this is coming from a girl who has a dentist-phobia! The staff is really sweet and welcoming, the office is bright and clean, and Dr. Hulse is great at explaining what exactly needs to be done. He focuses on making any procedure as comfortable for you as possible - I've never experienced pain while he has filled my cavities or even worked on a crown! Bonus - he has a TV on the ceiling, and noise-cancelling headphones, and you can pick from a huge selection of great movies. I'd recommend him to anyone in the Austin area (or even surrounding areas - he's worth the drive!).

Fantastic experience: I was hiding my teeth in pictures & constantly making fun of myself because of how self conscious I was about my teeth. I went into Dr. Hulse’s office a few months before my wedding with big dreams about a beautiful smile and he absolutely delivered. He was real with me about changes I needed to make without making me feel judged or embarrassed. My relationship with my dental health has completely turned around thanks to this office! Also everybody makes you feel so welcome when you visit. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience getting a dental makeover.

Fantastic experience: I came in seeking perfection and Dr. Hulse delivered what I believe is as close to perfect as it can get. My case was nuanced because my front teeth under the crowns have severe discoloration, but you cannot tell with the new crowns. They mimic natural teeth and I’m so grateful I can smile with confidence now!

Negative experience: My experience at Austin Artistic Dental was so-so. Dr. Hulse was quite insolent when I spoke to him in person, unlike how he portrays himself on social media. For instance, at the end of my first appointment (which was rescheduled on the same day), I asked him for the total of the treatment he had outlined to make sure there weren't any additional charges he would throw in. He made a slick comment suggesting that I was incapable of simple arithmetic. I could tell that he was from New York before he mentioned it to me. Ironically, his online persona is a veneer. Ultimately, I was unable to proceed with my treatment plan due to unforeseen circumstances, but in retrospect, I believe that it was meant to be. Overall, Dr. Hulse came across as a pompous dentist who sees every patient as another number. It seemed like he didn't respect my personal choice of not wanting to pull my wisdom teeth due to the unspoken side effects of extractions that I've seen in others. He even alluded to the fact that he wouldn't care if my dental health deteriorated and they "got infected" since it wouldn't affect anyone at his office. Also, he glossed over my efforts of maintaining overall oral hygiene which have caused me to never have a cavity. I assumed that he spoke to me in that manner because I'm one of the youngest patients that he's treated, but my age doesn't justify disrespectful behavior as I am completely independent and financially responsible. I adhere to the golden rule of treating others as I wish to be treated, and I certainly treated everyone at Austin Artistic Dental well. I cannot speak to his cosmetic expertise since I did not go far enough in the process, and I wouldn't be surprised if he is indeed proficient, but his rudeness overshadows his potential skills. Their office is clean and vibrant. His staff was cordial and promptly refunded my initial deposit and an erroneous charge initiated on their end after I cancelled my treatment plan. My respectful behavior was not reciprocated by Dr. Hulse during my appointments, so I plan on finding a different dentist in Texas where I am treated better. Cosmetic dentistry is a significant investment in oneself and I believe that the large price warrants a great experience from beginning to end, and I am certainly interested in choosing the right dentist for my case.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hulse and his team are incredible. Multiple times in the last year I travelled 6 hours each way for treatment, and it was worth every mile. They did a full mouth rehabilitation to fix my complex dental issues, and the results are amazing. 1. They took time to understand my health problems and created a tailored plan to my needs. 2. Despite extensive work, I never felt any pain - they always prioritized my comfort. I would just lay back, watch Netflix and not really feel a thing. 3. The whole staff is great Now I finally have a healthy mouth. If you have serious dental problems, even if you're far away or nervous, I highly recommend Dr. Hulse.

Fantastic experience: Super Friendly staff, with a friendly. Dr. Dr. Hulse even saved one a back tooth of mine. That others told me I should have pulled. He took a look at it, told me it just needs a new filling. Once they found out I had 2 insurance. But card I had was out of date. They got on the phone and called my insurance. Making a 2g procedure free for me. My only complaint is my mug shot lol. Recommend them to family and anyone else looking for a good dentist they can trust. ~ Greg

Fantastic experience: Have you ever almost fallen asleep while getting a large filling done? That is how low-stress and painless my appointment at Austin Artistic Dental was today. Dr Hulse did amazing quality work, and his assistant Devin was great, too. Both explained everything very well and made sure everything went smoothly. I also had a bioclear veneer placed on a front tooth, and it looks and feels completely natural, just better. Highly recommend this place. Great quality work and friendly people.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to Dr. Hulse by a friend, as I needed to see a dentist for a minor chip in my tooth. They were able to fit me in for an appointment the next day. Devin was my hygienist and was super helpful in getting me set for seeing to the doctor. Not only was Dr. Hulse thorough in talking through my options for the visit, but the team was also transparent about pricing before any work began. I’m typically more of a reactive type of person when it comes to dental health, but based on my experience I will definitely be establishing care here.

Fantastic experience: I've gone to the same dentist for the past 15 years but I moved and my son recommended Austin Artistic Dental after they helped him with some issues he was having. I went for a full exam and cleaning today and was very surprised at how thorough they were. With the full head scan for x-rays and a full 3D imaging of my teeth, they were able to walk me through the current condition of my teeth and recommend improvements. Fantastic experience: Dr Hulse did an amazing job. I neglected my oral health as a child and I felt that an improvement was necessary. After our initial consultation he recommended KOR cleaning and veneers on my upper teeth(another dentist recommended veneers on all which is of course way more expensive). His solution sounded promising so that is the route we took. After getting my temporary teeth adjusted when they were first placed, I went back to have them adjusted again on 2 occasions. He mentioned that 2 adjustments was pretty rare at his office but did not hesitate to make the changes that I requested. The end result is fantastic. The difference between my before and after is phenomenal. From horrible to great is not an overstatement, it’s actually accurate. For the record, I couldn’t stand the temporary teeth(as is common) but the permanent ones look great. Overall I was impressed and satisfied in every way possible. Very solid work was done.

Fantastic experience: I had a medical issue with one of my front teeth that needed to be pulled and an implant put in its place. This is a 6-8 month process. Dr Hulse glued in a temporary tooth while the implant's anchor was healing. This avoided the embarrassment of having a front tooth missing. Dr Hulse was meticulous in making sure the permanent implant matched the color of the rest of my teeth. Not many dentists would have done this. After a few weeks, they got the color of the implant correct and now I am all set. Dr Hulse and his staff are fantastic. Any time they numbed my mouth I could barely feel a thing and they were great at explaining what was happening along the way. I Highly recommend Dr Hulse.

Fantastic experience: I had to get an implant crown replaced on a front tooth I knocked out as a child. As every dentist has ever told me it is very hard to match one front tooth to the others but Dr Hulse and his team did an excellent job. Every member of the team is kind, welcoming, and help explain what’s going on in an understandable way. I have a lot of anxiety with dental procedures and when I had to get a filling they provided noise cancelling headphones connected to a nearby TV so I didn’t have to listen to the drilling. Before finding A.A.D., I had been to several other dentist in the past, and it can be frustrating finding the right place to go. I'm not one to leave very many reviews, however, Dr. Hulse and his staff deserve every bit of my 5 stars. When I see 5 stars on a business, to me it doesn't mean they are perfect because noone is, it just means they take great care of their customers. And that's exactly the experience I get each time I come here, a 5 star experience. The entire staff is friendly, helpful, and very informative. I feel very comfortable with their services knowing that they care for my needs and explain in great detail, step by step what I need to do on my end to care for and maintain my oral health. And the most important thing for me.....is not feeling any pain during the procedure! That was always my #1 issue/concern at other places. I highly recommend giving Dr. Hulse and his staff a try, as the entire experience is always very pleasant. And I am sure you won't second guess where to go after going here.
