Fantastic experience: January 29th 2026. I posted this review about 5 years ago ! I went in today to have a crown replaced. When I came to post a comment today I saw this old review, and I thought that it still applies for today’s visit. I had my procedure done today , totally pain free, fast , and comfortable. The Doctor and staff are still great ! I just wanted to say again how awesome everyone here is. Friendly, very polite, and totally professional. They really do care about your comfort. Everyone is so nice but a special shout out to Susie, one of the best hygienists ever ! so nice and friendly. What an amazing place to go for any dental procedures. From the people at the front desk to the hygienists and doctors, they are so friendly, polite, and caring. I have had bad experiences in the past, growing up in England and was always,well, apprehensive, scared, call it what you will. These people and this place is great. I just had a crown done and it was absolutely pain free, didn’t even feel the shots of Novocain! I go here now on a regular basis for cleanings etcetera. They are so nice! Ok I don’t usually do reviews, and when I do I tell it like it is. I would highly recommend Aurora Family Dentistry to anyone looking for that special, hard to find, caring, really good dental office. It took me years of trying different dental practices in the Aurora Colorado area before finding this place. My whole family now go there. If you are one of those people, like I was, who don’t like going to the dentist, please try here and like me, they will change your mind with their caring and gentle work. Excellent results, no pain, honest.

Fantastic experience: My 1st visit was an emergency due to extreme tooth pain. They took me right in, did a root canal same day. I came back 2 weeks later to complete the work and get a crown. Dr. Ricks and Laura are amazing. Very friendly. Informative and provided excellent care. The whole center has positive energy and a friendly atmosphere. So glad I went there! Thank you!

Negative experience: I made an appointment as a new patient for a cleaning. Setting up the appointment was easy, the paperwork didn't take too long to fill out and was mobile friendly. The receptionist answered all my questions. The front desk was friendly, got me checked in quickly, and the wait to be seen was short. The dental hygienist did a wonderful job giving me a tour of the office, and getting to know me as a person instead of a patient. They ask about your preferences and priorities several times and accommodate. I got an X-ray and my gums measured. The doctor appeared briefly and expanded upon what the dental hygienist had said. Where it took a turn for me, personally, was when they decided that I will be getting a deep cleaning. I was pretty shocked when, instead of getting my teeth cleaned at the appointment I made to have my teeth cleaned, I was escorted to the front desk. I had to explain to the receptionist that I had no interest in having 3 visits totaling over $1,000 dollars despite having white teeth, no pain, no discomfort, no complaints. The receptionist asked me "did you tell the dental hygienist you didn't want to do any of this?". I responded "She never asked." I told them I would still like to have my teeth cleaned, which this appointment was for, and the front desk told me they would call me back and go over my options. They never called me back. Now I'm looking for another dentist. I feel like I wasted a significant amount of time trying to establish myself with a dentist that put a lot of effort to pressure me into treatments I never agreed to. I feel like all of the kindness and accommodations were just a PR strategy to get as much money as possible, and nothing more.

Negative experience: BE VERY CAREFUL when you go in for a visit. Do not go in a back room with anyone until you have verified what they plan to do and what they plan to charge you for! I go in for a cleaning and suddenly they tried to slide charges in, and they simply informed me that I'd have to pay almost twice what I was told the visit would be at the end. They actually tried to charge me TRIPLE after the fact. They are relentless with upselling you no matter how much you explain that it's out of your budget. My wife went in for the same thing a week ago and they hounded her about buying all kinds of new things from them. I tried to complain to the office manager only to be told they don't have one. They seem to be devoid of any ethics, only looking to charge you.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Bladder and Dr. Ricks and the best dentists in Colorado in my opinion. They have helped me keep my oral health and hygiene top notch for over 13 years now. Without them and their advanced technology, expert expreiance, and amazing staff, Id still be fighting Stage 2 Gengivitis! Now I have the healthiest mouth of my life l and will always recommend this great group to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff and clean modern office. Very professional. The dentist and hygienist were friendly yet direct in my dental care needs. Would highly recommend. My sister who goes there told me about them when I was looking for a new dentist after my dentist’s office closed.

Fantastic experience: Jessie did a great job cleaning and polishing my teeth painlessly. She had some issues with the hardware for cleaning leaking water down my neck. Overall, Jessie made me feel comfortable and that she was interested in what I was doing to keep busy which made the visit a pleasure. Dr. Ricks is always upbeat and explained future procedures necessary to keep my teeth in great shape. The front desk staff continues to be very friendly and personable.

Fantastic experience: Everyone with Aurora Family Dentistry is professional and friendly! The entire team is exceptional. I had an issue with a tooth and was experiencing quite a bit of pain. They were able to get me in to be checked the next morning and even set up an appointment with an Endodontist that same day to take care of the problem. I highly recommend Aurora Family Dentistry for their compassion and professionalism!

Fantastic experience: Excellent care from the time I entered until I left the building. Dr. Ricks and Susie have always treated me with kindness and respect. I have nothing but praise for both of them. I am so glad that my wife Michele recommended Aurora family dentistry a long time ago. Granted I was in the Navy and am an older human being. But the respect is more than that. I'm sure everyone is treated with the respect they expect from high quality people such as they are. Thank you for being there to care for me. PS By the way, as I enter the building until I exit. I'm always greeted with a smile and how are you Glenn. Even with the smallest of gestures such as holding the door open or offering assistance to my car. Why can't everyone in the world be so courteous. All of you set the bar very high. Now here we are March 11th 2025. 8 years have really gone by quickly and Dr Ricks has always been the best dentist I've had. I will be 77 this year and he has always been honest with me. Very professional. With that, Susie has always been my dental hygienist. Also very professional and courteous and always has a story to tell me. If she ever notices anything concerning then she is upfront with me and let's Dr Ricks be aware of what she notices. Everyone is always upbeat and courteous and professional and that always makes me very appreciative and glad that I have chosen their services. Even as I was leaving Kelly asked me if I needed help out to my car because it was very obvious that my back was hurting very bad. But I don't want to be a burden to anybody so I said no I will do the best I can. I just don't want to be a burden to anybody but I should have accepted her courtesies and accepted her help.

Fantastic experience: It is always a good experience going to Dr.Rick’s. What a compassionate and caring Dr. and Erin, my hygienist is wonderful! The office staff is great as well….. they are very efficient! I would recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I'm very impressed with Aurora Family Dentistry on all counts. Dr. Ricks has to be the most competent dentist I've ever had. His expertise on the creation and placement of several crowns is unmatched. Rebecca is proficient, knowledgeable, and one of the best hygienists going. She's so relaxing and fun as well. In addition, the office personnel have done an outstanding job on my insurance and payment details and they have been very responsive to scheduling and appointment concerns. I'm so glad to have found this dental office several years ago. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: New patient after my previous dental office closed. I had a really great experience with the office. I felt welcome, they were all friendly including the front desk staff, techs (Jessie and Maria) and the dentist (Dr. Rick). This is also personal preference, but I love that they asked how much detail I wanted regarding what they were doing. I was thrilled that the dentist showed me my x-rays and pictures in office explaining areas of concern and what they were seeing. Honestly, the best mechanic did the same thing by taking me out to my car and pointing to what he could see so I could see myself. My co-worker recommended them to me, and so I am recommending them to the curious out there looking at reviews! Thank you for the great care and look forward to coming back for future needs!

Fantastic experience: For anybody that is uncomfortable in a dentist office this is the place to go. They will do everything in their power to make you comfortable even during routine cleanings they will walk you through every step. I have never been comfortable in dentist offices because I’ve had some major trauma with very bad dentists in another state and these guys stepped up and under understood the struggle understood my health issues and did everything they could to make me comfortable.

Fantastic experience: The Best experience I've had with a dentist in a very long time. Dr. Rick is very patient, caring and honest about the quality and care given to his patients. Every question I asked my former dentist, and orthodontist back home Dr. Rick mentioned to me at my first visit. Fantastic experience: The staff here is great; they really make you feel welcome and comfortable, which are rare qualities with dentist offices, in my experience. They always try to get me in as soon as possible if I have an emergency, and they even accommodated me recently when I had no option but to bring my 2.5 year old daughter along for an appointment that they set up for me just hours before. The best part was that they made the experience enjoyable for my daughter as well, which can be a challenge!

Fantastic experience: From the initial phone conversation to checking out after my appointment, everyone was nothing but professional, humorous, and courteous. I had in infection from an old dental surgery. When I called, they found an appointment time for me early morning the next day. The doctor immediately knew what was wrong and referred me to the appropriate specialist. I will be going back for x-rays and a cleaning within the next few. I would highly recommend Aurora Family Dentistry for any one your dental needs.

Fantastic experience: Was unable to get into my normal Dentist for several days for an emergency,This office accommodated me same day. Was very efficient in finding the issue and advising of best course of treatment. Set up appointment with an oral surgeon for that day! Which was another amazing experience!! I even received a card and plant thanking me for using them!! Wow does this anymore!! Thanks for making a bad situation great!! Highly recommended this practice !!

Fantastic experience: The dental hygienist and dentist were both so incredibly kind and gentle while working with me. I’ve suffered permanent nerve damage in my mouth and the team at your clinic was so accomodating and careful, it really made such a difference and my pain was greatly minimized due to the hygienist being so thorough! Fantastic experience: My visit was great everyone was very nice. The one thing I'll say and it's definitely not a bad thing is that... they're almost too nice? Lol It almost made me uncomfortable lol but it was great everyone was like a caring mother. This will be the only dentist that I visit while I live in Denver :)

Positive experience: Great first experience on my Moral Extraction. Dr. Ricks is very professional, he takes the time to explain what needs to be done and provides valuable advice. I didn't experience pain or swelling after my surgery except for bleeding for a few hour which is normal. The front desk?they accomadate me in my insurance but they were not that kind of approachable or friendly staff. But I'm totally satisfied with the care given by the dentist, Dr. Ricks. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: The hygienist is always the best part of the office. The dentist himself? Not so much. He did fillings on 3 of my teeth less than two years ago and two of them had the exact same crack appear in them within a year after the work. Anytime I went in to get work on my teeth the dentist told me i would be fine without numbing and I had to be very insistent he take the extra 5 minutes to numb me. The one time I didn't it was the most traumatic experience I've ever had at the dentist. I won't be back.

Fantastic experience: I have a hard time finding a dentist because I don’t trust that easily. Therefore I procrastinated a long time to establish care with a dentist that I actually trust….That wasn’t until I started having a tooth ache! I then scrambled to find one. I searched a lot before deciding to come to Aurora Family Dentistry And am soo glad I did!! Dr. Baily and his assistants were so amazing at what they do they fixed my issue and made the process so smooth. I also enjoyed Suzie as my hygienist she was so pleasant and thorough with her work. It was the best cleaning I’ve EVER had. Am so excited I finally found a dentist I can trust!

Fantastic experience: Rebecca is excellent! She explained saliva ducts and nerve placement to help me understand my mouth. She is sensitive and gentle as well as efficient. Dr. Bailey is always caring and knowledgeable. I drive from Castle Rock because I feel so comfortable at this dental clinic.

Fantastic experience: First, I have to say, when it comes to visiting the dentist, I am a little bit of a problem customer. It was a few years since my last visit to a dentist, before I went to Aurora Family Dentistry. And I knew things weren't great with my teeth to begin with. However, it didn't phase them one bit. They did my exam, explained what was going on, what I needed to have done treatment wise, and explained what I should be doing on my own to make my dental health better. There was no brow beating or talking down. They do an excellent job, and take the time to explain things in a way which is easy to understand. I definitely recommend Aurora Family Dental.

Fantastic experience: It was first time at the dentist here in Denver. I most definitely say amazing experience from front desk to doctor. My hygienist was very helpful and nice . I would recommend here for sure to my family and friends.

Negative experience: Poor customer service from the secretary team. I always had good experiences with this clinic until I missed an appointment. I got charged a $50 no attendance fee which I was not aware of but apparently the make you sign a paper stating this which I never recall doing. They also don’t mention it on the emails that they sent when you missed their phone call. When I told the secretary that I didn’t receive a voice message either she stated that my mailbox was full and that’s why she didn’t say it which is not true since I double check after she hung up the phone on me before finishing the call. Pretty rude and would not recommend this place anymore.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ricks & his assistant were amazing, kind, knowledgeable, and understanding. They went out of their way to ensure they could do as much as possible for me after I had an accident that required repairing multiple of my front teeth. Thank you for getting so much done in one appointment. I'll be recommending this office to anyone who asks.

Positive experience: Great personal however do not like the fact if you have two insurances they only bill one at the time of procedure, you have to pay out of pocket before the second insurance is billed, because of this I can not afford the needed care I need. Might have to look elsewhere for dental care

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience at Aurora Family Dentistry. Even though I wasn't a current patient they got me in same day to address a chipped tooth. Dr. Ricks and Dani were so very thoughtful in their care and education of my options. Dani was such a rockstar and I hope she is always who I get to see in addition to Dr. Ricks! As someone who has a lot of anxiety about the dentist, this was the most welcoming, caring and relaxing experience at a dentist that I have had. I am so glad that I found this dentist office and even my husband is now going to go there after witnessing how awesome the clinic and staff were during my appointment! Fantastic experience: Kiera? Kira? The spelling escapes me but she was a very professional, personable, and friendly hygienist during the whole ordeal. The doctor I saw, Dr. Bailey, provided a warm experience and offered services with zero feelings of pressure. The young ladies up front are extremely kind and helpful to go over costs, appointment expectations, and insurance guidelines. Your teeth are a gateway to your health, they're kind of a big deal. Get them taken care of. Overall I'm very satisfied with the service I've experienced there, though I will admit I could've been more impressed with a nice electric toothbrush

Negative experience: Big staff change and not feeling the recent service changes. Sad how quick customer service can change your whole outlook on who you carry as a provider. Being polite with a patient goes a long way. Had to change my review. Not warm and welcoming. Actually disappointed!

Fantastic experience: Perfect. Service was flawless. Office was very friendly and extremely quick. I had quite a few cavities and the doctor had a very professional bedside manner. My insurance was accepted with no issues and the cost seemed very reasonable. Office was clean and organized.

However, everyone here is so kind, accommodating and welcoming. I had to have a new crown put in today and while I'm just a little sore the entire procedure could not have gone more smoothly and I'm enormously pleased with my results. Fantastic experience: Dr. Kyle Ricks saved my life. By far THE dentist of 2023 if not all time. I came in with extreme pain, life waning in the balance, and while everyone who came before him heard my pleas, my cries of desperation FINALLY Ricks heard as well but unlike the others, he answered. He came with a staff he had personally either trained or special ordered because they moved like nothing I had ever seen before TOGETHER they have honed themselves into into a machine of accurate and effective moving parts that you would be wise to entrust the life of your loved ones along with your own to. #purchasethesonicaretoothbrushfromthem (I lost mine but I am telling you its worth it)

I felt very welcomed as if I were family and it they made me feel it wasn’t rushed and was very informational. The vibe I got was “peace”. Fantastic experience: My fiancé and his family have come here for years and years. I’ve been going for about 5 years and I can’t say enough about how great this dentistry office is! The entire staff is all extremely friendly and kind and most have the same passion for corgis as I do! I invite my hygienist to my dog’s birthday parties even. Both dentists in the office make me feel genuinely heard, they make suggestions without being pushy, don’t overcharge for services and are just simply amazing. I’ve moved a lot and had several dentists and differing experiences so consider yourself lucky to have found AFD!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kyle Ricks and his entire staff are extraordinary! I have been a patient for more than five years, and have recommended Aurora Family Dentistry to numerous friends and family members. I discovered him by accident when a graduate student on the Anschutz Medical Campus noticed a lump on my tongue during a staff meeting. She told me that I should get it checked for cancer and recommended her dentist, Kyle Ricks, DDS. As it turned out, my own dentist did not provide cancer screening. Following that first visit, I was hooked. The level of professional service is incredible. Everyone is so nice. Everyone is so competent. I discovered for the first time, that in a single visit, I could replace an old filling with a new crown - made right away in-house - rather than having to make a second appointment and wait until the crown could be made by an outside vendor and delivered to the dental office weeks later. And the most amazing part of my experience is this: my wife has dementia and I accompany her to Dr. Rick's office when when she needs care. Everything is confusing to her. Dr. Ricks and his staff, currently Michelle, treat her so gently that it almost brings tears to my eyes. They are top dental professionals who also happen to be wonderful people!

Fantastic experience: Erin and Dr. Bailey were amazing. They asked me questions to really get to know me as a person and what my dental goals were. Dr. Bailey explained everything in laymen’s terms and made going to the dentist finally enjoyable. I would recommend them to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I went in today for an exam with my one year old by my side. The entire staff was so kind and understanding! The hygenist entertained my daughter and kept her happy as I had some x-rays taken. You can tell they really care about people and are willing to accomodate your situation as much as they can. Five stars doesn't feel like enough for this delightful group of people!

Fantastic experience: First visit, great place. Very thorough, would recommend Back in for my second visit today and I love this place. Dr. Ricks is a class dentist and the entire staff is knowledgable and friendly. Every hygenist I have come across is amazing! I visited another local dentist over a year ago and he recommended a fair amout of work I had to have done. I went to see Dr. Ricks and he told me I didn't need that work and more importantlu why.... Go see him!

Negative experience: I saw that this dentist had great reviews, and I was excited to find a reputable dentist in my new town. I saw him for a cleaning, to keep up with my every 6 months schedule. He told me I had 5 cavities that needed to be filled. I was suspicious, but they seemed nice!! I haven’t had a cavity in 6+ years, and I go to the dentist every 6 months. I decided to get a second opinion from my previous dentist when I was visiting family in my hometown. The dentist in the hometown did an exam, took x-rays, and told me I have NO cavities. ZERO cavities. If you enjoy having a lot of work done on your teeth, then sure, go here!! I would not trust them.

Fantastic experience: On my very first appt as a new patient wasn’t sure about this location based on my interaction with a crew member. Then on the next appt the dentist and the other crew members that worked on my teeth made me feel great and did an amazing job. Even though is been less than a year since I started it going to this location all I have to say is THAN YOU! to my dentist I believe is Dr. Ricks for always being gentle and have tons of patience with me and Laura and the other young girl (that I completely forgot her name) for helping me keep my teeth in good condition. You really do wonderful work at this location and is been a while since I found a place like this. Your dental team always make me feel less anxious when I have to come in for my dental appointments. Also kind and helpful over the phone as they are in person. Definitely recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: I definitely recommend Aurora Family Dentistry! Every staff member I interacted with was absolutely amazing—all very kind, efficient, understanding, and accommodating. I was only in town for a few days, and they helped me get everything I needed done in the limited time I had available. When I informed them of my fear of needles, Dr. Ricks was very understanding and helped make the experience as non-stressful as possible. I received expert-level care that I have not experienced elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: From scheduling my first visit to the end of the first appointment, the individuals at Aurora Family Dentistry were welcoming, upfront, supportive, and kind. Both Erin, my dental hygienist and Dr. Bailey made sure I was comfortable and listened to my concerns. The practice is upfront about insurance and costs, and my care team ensured I understood all of my options. There was also no pressure to make a decision one way or the other. I am so glad I chose Aurora Family Dentistry!

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible. I went in for a teeth cleaning and all I got was a two hour “exam.” Left with dirty teeth and a $400 bill. They nickel and dimed me after provided zero service and blowing my dental needs out of proportion. I have dealt with dental offices like this in the past, so I got a second opinion, and my teeth are not nearly in as sore shape as they made it appear. They tried upselling orthodontics and other unnecessary procedures. They are far more concerned with their bottom line rather than the care of their patients. They weren’t very friendly, and I left there feeling uneasy about my experience. I do not recommend this place. In fact, I recommend that you steer very clear of this place.

Fantastic experience: Clean, fast & friendly . Everyone greeted me with a smile & made me feel comfortable. I love how they discuss pricing before the work is done . I personally hate going to the dentist because of my experiences in the past but this place gives off a different vibe and I will for sure be going back for all my dental needs .

Fantastic experience: I have used Aurora Family Denistry for several years and have ALWAYS had a beyond average treatment and care from the Dr.s' to the staff! Just had an extraction done and was terrified and filled with anxiety but Dr. Bailey and Michelle made me as relaxed as possible. I appreciate everyone's empathetic and professional attitudes and behavior. I recommended them for all dental needs! UPDATE: after extraction became a bit of a hypercondriac but Dr. Bailey soothed my worries and gave great tips on dealing with pain. Once again never had physicians who care and show so much patience. 10 out of 10!

Fantastic experience: I recently moved from Chicago and was looking for Family Dentistry. I googled Family Dentistry and this place came up. I always check the reviews and the reviews were amazing and I can honestly say I too absolutely love the staff. I brought my 3 year old son for the first time for a cleaning and I was unsure how things were going to go. Surprisingly Kira and Dr. Ricks were absolutely ah-mazing with my son. Kira was patient and so understanding with children. I will always come here.

No one has ever judged or pressured me into anything. Everyone here is understanding and accommodating to your individual needs. I highly recommend this office.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about this practice. My 2 year old son had a real quick appointment during my husband’s appointment and I intended to watch him until my husband was finished and could take over. Instead, the staff played with and entertained him and kept him so happy while we were able to complete our appointments. They were amazing with our son and so flexible in addition to providing great dental care!

Fantastic experience: Hand down best dental experience of my life. Friendly, informative, and all around amazing, not to mention I had the same work quoted from a different dentist a year earlier and it was going to be about $3,000. These guys quoted the same work and it was under $1,000.

Fantastic experience: If I could give them more stars I would. I have sensitive teeth, and during my cleaning I had no pain, it was very thorough and just an overall wonderful experience! My appointment was at 3:30 and they saw me at 3:30 ( I’ve never had an on time doctor or dentist’s appointment….always waiting around, and normally seen well after my appointment time) lol! The whole staff was awesome! Thank goodness, because I’ve have bad experiences in past! 5 stars honey!!
