Fantastic experience: The office located off of Iron Bridge Rd, has excellent customer service, well organized, staff who are efficient, care about clents and makes going to the dentist, a great experience!

Fantastic experience: I have a huge fear of going to the dentist, but the staff welcomed me and put me at ease. Very polite and professional. From the initial new patient phone call, all the way to my cleaning, it was a wonderful experience. Dr. Starkey was very knowledgeable and fully explained my x-rays and the course of actions needed. I would refer anyone because I had a great experience.

However, Sherese, the hygienist, is the best I've ever had. Her patient education is unparalleled. Dr. Jordan is also fantastic; he is always thorough and takes the time to discuss not just my dental health but also genuinely cares about his patients.

The name has changed and the practice has grown. but the care hasn't been compromised. From my first filling to my child's wisdom teeth extraction, we have enjoyed our experience. Fantastic experience: Can’t believe I’m writing a positive review about a dental visit—but I am. After never even having a cavity filled before, I find myself needing a root canal and extraction on two teeth on the same side. I opted to get nitrous gas because I was nervous about what I would hear/feel. Well, Dr. Sharkey made the experience a breeze for me. I expected to feel the numbing injections, but her method prevented me from feeling ANYTHING. I don’t know how she accomplished that. The root canal was uneventful (I didn’t feel anything). And the extraction surprised me, because alll I heard was some faint crackling, and then Dr. Erin said “tooth is out”. It was so quick and I couldn’t tell you when they actually pulled it—I felt nothing. To be honest, the worst part of the entire experience is the sinus pressure I experienced after. Like I have a cold. I feel blessed to have had this experience, especially since I have one more room canal to go

Fantastic experience: The dental assistants were very polite. Dr Jordan was very courteous, knowledgeable and explained what he was doing as he went through the process. I feel like I'm in good hands!

Positive experience: My cleaning today by Tevi was excellent and she gets 5 stars however over the past year I haven't been able to schedule cleanings yet receive emails asking about the suggested treatment. When i have called to schedule a cleaning the reception will say to check the website for cancelled appointments which i did and found none available near me. I also received an email with an opening for a cleaning on 10/27 and 10 mins later received another email stating the previous email was sent inadvertently. When the dentist came in to examine me I gave her all of the above information and more...yet no apology. Beware of dentist pushing the expensive treatments, get a second opinion. Every tooth doesn't require a crown. Be your own advocate for Health and dental care.

My son is always nervous about the dentist but Dr. Voth and his amazing dental assistant made him feel so relax and calm. Dr. Voth clearly loves what he does and it shows. My son experience was simply the best of the best. I would definitely recommend Dr. Voth and his amazing staff members.

Positive experience: This visit required a small filling. The appointment took less than an hour total time from arrival to departure. The procedure went well. I am not a huge fan of dentist as a whole, but I do like Dr. Eldridge and his approach to my oral care. I just can’t give any dentists 5 STARS.

The dental hygienists Amber and Leigh were fabulous, and my dentist, Dr. Erin Sharkey, was truly top-notch. She quickly identified my issue and scheduled me for a painless procedure the very next day. When I say I have no pain, I mean it–I can hardly believe it myself. I also really appreciate the convenience of being able to get both cleanings and procedures in one place. As someone who is pregnant, I was especially thankful for the extra precautions they take to avoid radiation exposure and harmful medications. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and will absolutely be back for my biannual cleanings. I highly recommend Virginia Family Dentistry to anyone looking for excellent care.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit with Family Dentistry. They were absolutely amazing. Margaret took her time with me, explained every absolute procedure and x-ray. She even informed me of what to look forward to when the doctor/dentist came in. Then when he came in, he took even more time to explain what was happening and what to look forward to. Although, I didnt go in with major dental problems, there were enough small ticket items that need work before it turns into dental problems. I am very thankful and appreciative of their professionalism, knowledge, care and "bedside manner." I will def recommend them to anyone who desire to maintain their oral and gut health.

She didn’t even cry and handled the first visit like a champ. I’ve gone to VA Fam Dentistry for many years with Dr Appleby and have always had a great experience. Fantastic experience: We have been going to this location for pediatric dentistry for a number of years. They are efficient and able to see you quickly. The hygenists are friendly and provide education to children on brushing and flossing habits. Dr. Voth is so friendly and willing to show you x-rays and explain everything he is seeing and suggesting. He also gives the kids tips on brushing and flossing to prevent cavities. We are also able to get routine appointments as recommended within 6 months and make appointments before we leave. They are also great at accomodating siblings with appontments together!

Positive experience: **UPDATE** **THEY'VE DONE IT AGAIN** The staff here is so amazing, you can't do nothing wit good customer service . Everybody was so nice and Dr. Appleby hit a home run. I thought they were gonna reschedule me for the work that needed to be done. They DID NOT he gave me a whole new tooth and it was perfect*** First time here and I love it already honey. The dentist was very thorough, his assistant was as well. He definitely knew what he was talking about because I heard everything before from my previous dentist. Fantastic experience: I’m definitely not one that enjoy a dentist visit, but I enjoy going to this dental office. Dr. Jordan and his staff is sooo friendly. They seem to really care whether or not anything is bothering you since the last visit with them. I always mke my next appointment before I lv th building, but if and when I call the office someone always answer and your not put on hold or talking to a machine.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend!! I’m military and I’ve gone to a few dentist and this one is by far my favorite and was the best experience I’ve ever had. Everyone was polite and very quick, didn’t even have to wait in the waiting room more than 2mins. The dentist did a root canal in an hour and I didn’t feel a thing !

Negative experience: I would not recommend this office. Unfortunately, it seems that financial gain is prioritized over patient care. During my visits, I felt that treatment recommendations focused exclusively on the most expensive options, with little to no discussion of alternatives. Additionally, I was advised to undergo procedures without a clear explanation of costs or coverage. My insurance status was not verified beforehand, which led to unexpected and significantly higher out-of-pocket expenses than what was initially quoted. When I tried to address these concerns with management and billing, I found them unhelpful and unwilling to explore solutions. I strongly advise others to proceed with caution and to verify all details themselves before committing to treatment here.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Jordan and his staff have always been personable, professional, and friendly. My younger two sons who are 18 and 23 always ask me “how is Dr. Jordan doing?” after my check ups. They see us in emergency situations and are amazing at helping us keep our check ups. Maggie does a thorough yet gentle job in helping me maintain my teeth and is so patient with me. She remembers my kids and now grand kids and is just a beautiful soul inside and out. We aren’t just a number for them, we are like family! Thanks to an awesome team!

I asked him to pull it out because it was so bad he said I think I can save it, great. The dentist did a brilliant job and what I liked he did not push anything on me. I’ll be going back.

The days of Dr. Baxter Parkinson and Associates are long gone! The business practices of this location today are not customer friendly. The Bookkeeper at the Ironbridge location Lauren and the Office Mgr Jennifer are hell-bent on not giving a client an opportunity to be made whole so that they can get treatment, but we know why they're overbooked and understaffed and unprofessionally handling the situation. Do not take a practice that you've been going to before any of the current employees where ever there lightly. If there is something that you are disagreeing with try to work it out, and if they don't help you, then you go to your next steps. Quite sure the Virginia Department of Health and the BBB would not appreciate the way clients are treated in today's time - ONLY at this location.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Voth and Dr. Allison, both are amazing! Dr. Voth has been our girls' doctor for 7 years + and can't recommend him more, wonderful hygienist as well. As we moved to braces, Dr. Allison and her team have been very informative, proactive, and overall great experience.

Negative experience: This practice should not take on new patients if it does not have the manpower to provide timely dental cleaning . I had a cleaning this week and they are booking next cleanings February 2026! I was instructed To continue to call for cancellations In five months. I called three different locations all the same story, Due to shortage of hygienists. But of course they our booking for high dollar dental work.

Fantastic experience: I’m never one to go out my way and leave reviews but I just need to say how much we absolutely love Dr. Voth! He is hands down the best pediatric dentist we have seen, and we’ve been to multiple! He is so great with the kids. Talks to them every step of the way, always interacts with them, and always makes sure I feel heard. I couldn’t recommend a better dentist for my kiddies!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Eldridge is absolutely incredible. I came in for a root canal and this man was not only communicative in the process, but he was also incredibly accommodating. He knew my insurance was switching over for the new year and things were looking iffy in that aspect, so he managed to get me in quickly to keep from any insurance frustrations in the future. We’ve even scheduled a follow up right before the year ends just to make sure everything is going well. The root canal itself wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected and thanks to his professionalism in how he works, after the numbness wore off, the irritation and discomfort was gone in a couple of hours. I expected it to linger a few days so I’m highly impressed with whatever he did to keep the discomfort to a minimum. And when I say discomfort, I mean it was slight. Probably more irritating than painful.

Fantastic experience: Ms. Lena Brannan is an absolute dental professional. She listens to patient concerns, offers advice, and provides top-notch care. I look forward to my dental appointments which is quite unusual for patients in her chosen profession.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Peter Appleby provided my dental care and performed an exceptional job. Under his care, he was personal, careful, and made sure my treatment was performed with the upmost precision and as painless as possible. Under this occurrence he prepared for a crown on a molar tooth which was performed with only but the minimal discomfort from the shots given. I am thankful to be under his care and glad he looks out as well as he does for me as his patient. He has also performed other significant procedures such as bridge work and caps for my front teeth, ensuring the highest quality color match and natural aesthetics. I am self-admittedly a complex case, having dental issues my entire life however I seek the best care because I know the impact of confidence and psychology it plays with poor dental appearance and he has delivered to my expectations. I would highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a dentist in this area (Chesterfield, Va).
