Fantastic experience: I've never had a better experience at the dentist before! Every single person in this place is absolutely amazing. Just super nice, inviting, patient. Hard to not leave here smiling because they are literally that wonderful. 10/10 recommend. First dentist my daughter hasn't been scared to go to. Theyre knowledgeable, friendly, super easy to talk to. Great dentists. Wonderful people!

Fantastic experience: Another pleasant experience at this office. Like most people, I don't relish going to the dentist, but the staff, especially my hygienist, Crystal, made my experience a very pleasant one. However, I was very disappointed to learn that Karen, the receptionist, retired. Bummer!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Dr. Baker for many years and have always had an excellent experience. I deal with quite a bit of dental anxiety and Dr.Baker and his team have a knack for calming me and explaining the dental procedures; they even show me all the tools! They also do a great job with children. I have 4 children, one of which was born with cleft lip and palate. They do a phenomenal job with all of my kids, even the more dentally complex child. I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I came to Dr. Lucia with a toothache that was pretty bad. She spent time in diagnosing the problem - I have an abscess behind 1-3 back teeth which is also causing pressure on my sinuses. I have been referred for root canal treatment. At least I have been able to save the tooth! Thank you, Dr Lucia for your care and concern.

Fantastic experience: 9/30/25 As always, facility spic & span clean, the reception staff continue being welcoming & knowledgeable. My dental hygienist as always professional, friendly & gets my teeth sparkling as well as address any issues. Finally. Dr. Baker comes in with his usual professional yet friendly demeanor for his medical check. I would not go anywhere else! CONTINUE EXCELLENT CARE! Same as below. Danielle best hygienist teaches & explains, never feel rushed. Always reviews general health changes & meds. Dr. Baker best dentist have ever had, good sense humor (& roots for CUBS ) Office Staff friendly, welcoming & knowledgeable w/clerical tasks. Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about BMD! The entire staff is so friendly and put you at ease the minute you walk in. Crystal (hygienist) and Dr Baker are so kind and gentle with my routine checkups, cleanings and any of the procedures that I’ve had done! I would recommend them to anyone!

I've been scared out of going to the dentist before, due to a previously undiscovered pain tolerance issue. Dr. Baker was the first dentist to recognize and address this issue, resulting in my first ever fully numb dental procedure! I have never felt as comfortable and listened to as a patient as I have in this office. I didn't feel crazy for still being in pain, I felt listened to, heard, and ultimately properly cared for by having the issue addressed, more than I even realized possible. You will be made to feel important, seen and cared for from the moment you walk in to the friendly and kind front desk staff, to your hand off to the knowledgeable, personable and caring hygienists and nurses, all the way to your wonderful interactions with Dr. Baker!! I am so happy I have found an office I look forward to visiting and trust completely. If you're looking for the same peace of mind, please give this office a try!! I am certainly thankful I did!!

From the front desk staff to the physician, everyone was welcoming and made us feel like we had been going there for years. We were amazed at how thorough they were. It was a pleasant experience made exceptional by the staff!

Fantastic experience: All of their staff are friendly and kind, but I have to give a special mention to Dr. Lucia. She was able to perform two fillings with the least amount of discomfort of any other visit to a dentist I've ever had. She was quick, communicative, and was able to also give tips and training points to a student who was sitting in. I'm not a fan of dental visits, but the staff there made it go as easy as possible.

Fantastic experience: I had two crowns put in this morning. Dr. Baker did a fantastic job as did Carlotta, his assistant. It was a long procedure as crowns are made special in house. Carlotta was very attentive and kept watch over me, checking often. There was no pain and I walked out with two new teeth. Was also very educational for me, as I’ve never had crowns made in office and put in right there. Technology is advanced in this practice. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Baker is so kind and patient and my last appointment - with shots - was 98.7% pain free. He is so gentle that I’d probably chat and smile if he was cutting my arm off. The staff is phenomenal - from the front desk to the hygienists and I actually look forward to my dental appointments. I couldn’t ask for a better experience - unless they handed out little toys for those of us over 50. That would be rad. Fantastic. A ++. Period.

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient at the Bloomington Modern Dentistry. They were recommended to me by my oldest daughter. I have visited the office twice. Once for my initial visit and then to get a filling. Fantastic experience: I was already squeaking in a rush Appt for the next Monday because my tooth was sore. 2 days later the tooth pain had escalated to nearly unbearable. They had a cancellation and got me in 6 days earlier than the Appt date and saved my butt. I was attended to very quickly and I was fixed and out in no time. Fantastic experience: I’m not enthused about dental exams. This is due to childhood experiences with dentists in the early 70’s. Think Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, with these differences; I never received a Golden Ticket, I ate many sweets, and my father was not a dentist. I finally got a golden ticket by visiting Dr. Baker and staff at Bloomington Modern Dentistry (BMD). Whether they know it or not, my visits have been effective therapy as far as my enthusiasm toward dental hygiene is concerned. It’s not the nitrous they offer. It’s the demeanor with which everyone who works there makes patients comfortable. Kind, thoughtful, respectful, and resourceful are a few characteristics I can vouch for. I cannot recommend this business enough! There are lots of dentists in our town to choose from, but choose BMD and you will walk out happier than I imagine you would be visiting any other dentist office, probably like Dr. Wonka’s!!

Fantastic experience: The staff at BMD are very friendly and gentle. I always have great conversations with them especially Nick Baker who is fabulous. Love it there!!

Negative experience: Greedy thieves. I told this business upfront that I could not pay an out of pocket bill and would need to cancel if not fully covered by insurance. They checked my insurance and said it would cost nothing to just look at my teeth (no X-rays). Not only did they charge the insurance over $70, they also billed me $138. They lied to me to get me in the office and then slammed me with a bill they knew up front I couldn’t pay. Evil, greedy, thieves. I gave them my business faithfully before my hardship but never again.

Fantastic experience: Bloomington Modern Dentistry took care of an urgent dental need with excellence today. A crown had come off a tooth of mine. Glad to report I had it with me and after Dr. Lucia evaluated the situation she got it back on better than new. She was meticulous in making sure it fit and patiently spent as much time as needed getting it set on right. Because I was a new patient she took extra time to measure and record the current state of my teeth and gums. I appreciated her efforts and expertise! You will too!
