Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Smile Solutions Dentistry today. Dr. Kelly and her assistant Heather did an awesome job working together to repair my tooth, even though it was in a very hard spot to work on. They stayed calm, patient, and kept at it until the job was complete—no worries at all. Both were professional, caring, and made me feel comfortable the whole time. Thank you so much!

Negative experience: Scariest experience ever!! They didn’t even notate in their notes what happened to me. Earlier this month I had two fillings and a tooth extraction. A new dentist who I had never seen did the procedure. They led me to this back room in the very back of the building (I didn’t even know the building was that big) and normally I’m in one of the front rooms. In walks this new dentist by the last name of Kelly. I told them I only wanted the fillings and not the extraction, they said the tooth could get infected if not extracted then. It hadn’t gotten infected in the past 4 years, I doubt it would’ve gotten infected now. She shoved a needle in my bottom left gums, which I thought hurt like hell, but the next needle she shoved into my top upper gum, I thought I was on my way to be with the Lord. I was screaming and trying to move her hand as in to get her to take the needle out of my gums. She told me not to grab her hand or the numbing wouldn’t take effect. The assistant told me to squeeze her hand. Idk why neither of them took the hint that I was in severe pain and I wanted them to stop. They never asked if I was ok. She proceeded to hold the needle in my gums for another 20 seconds or longer. My vision was going in and out and my heart started racing and I just knew I was dying and all I could think about was my son in and I told her my heart was pounding and they had to sit me up and told me to uncross my legs. The filling at the bottom did no good because I still get food stuck in my teeth and gums right there. Where she stabbed me with the needle, the spot around my gums is still swollen and in pain. I can’t believe they didn’t put that in my information what happened to me. I received a phone call from the office reminding me of my next appointment with them. I asked them what the dentist who I saw first name is and they said they didn’t know. I never thought I’d potentially lose my life in a dentist chair. I never had a problem going to the dentist ever, always enjoyed it pretty much. Never again!

Fantastic experience: Today was my first time having Leslie as my hygienist and if I could give her more than 5 stars I would! Leslie was very caring and she and I chatted as if we’ve known each other for a long time. She gave me great pointers for a few concerns I had and I could tell that she is very knowledgeable in her field. She is caring and never did I feel rushed with my cleaning!! Did I say I would give her MORE than 5 stars!!

Negative experience: An incredibly unprofessional experience I had at this location. Just an overall terrible dental experience. When I first came in the front and staff paid me very little mind they seem to be often in their own world yelling across the office about personal business. After I went back The dental hygienist, I believe, told me that my teeth look great. She saw nothing wrong than the actual dentist came in and said that I had all of these cavities, including one that needed immediate attention. The dental hygienist was very sweet, but it did feel like she was just playing in my mouth. It took forever to get an actual cleaning Which is what I was scheduled for. Upon checking Out there was no one upfront to be seen when somebody finally appeared. I asked for how much it would be For my cavity fillings, could I get that scheduled etc. she said that she had no answer for me and she would get back to me. She said no one had checked my insurance yet and I called back four separate times trying to get an answer and they Have yet to get me an answer months later about the fillings how much they would cost in getting them scheduled. It honestly just felt like a giant waste of time because now I have to go find another dentist do the same cleaning and x-ray over again just to get an appointment to get a cavity filled that the dentist here told me was emergent. Also wanted to add They told me they were in network to my insurance, which is why I chose this place, but after my cleaning when I was trying to get pricing for my cavities, they then told me that is wasn’t. No one seems to be on the same page here. Definitely would not recommend or go back

Fantastic experience: I had a great morning at Smile Dentistry with Dr Schmid and Lyla. One appointment for Root Canal and Crown on tooth #13. At various times other trained staff members assisted as a team. The procedure went smoothly with minimal discomfort. I was thankful for the fast scheduling of my appointment as the tooth was infected and needed immediate attention. Harrisburg has a great dental staff working in town.

Fantastic experience: I had such a great experience here! The ladies at the front desk were so kind and welcoming, and every staff member I interacted with was just as friendly. The dentist was honestly one of the nicest I’ve ever met they really took the time to make me feel comfortable. I’d absolutely bring my kids here without hesitation. You can tell they truly care about their patients!

Fantastic experience: I had a an unexpected Cracked tooth they got me a really quickly did a great job correcting the problem with a new crown. The staff was very kind m, professional and easy to talk to during the whole thing. I would definitely recommend this office.

Fantastic experience: What a great experience. From the X-ray machine playing Beethoven to the wonderful staff to accommodating me in a days notice!!!! I was genuinely blown away. Tv's to watch ok the ceilings.. state of the art equipment. I mention they accommodated me in a days notice and have a plan to get extractions and a root canal in a week... Go see em. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Super positive experience! It was my first time at Smile Solutions Dentistry (Harrisburg). I was greeted with kindness and friendly, smiling faces. The staff patiently listened as I explained my problem in English that wasn’t exactly perfect (I’m Italian). Within 10 minutes they were already helping me and figured out what was wrong with my teeth. Positive experience: I absolutely hate to leave this review, but after the billing nightmare my husband and I have faced, it must be done. We were quoted one thing, insurance had another in mind (that somehow the billing department didn’t know about— weird since we’re in network also). Well, now I’m being charged the difference after already agreeing to one payment plan. It’s a very long a tedious story, but if you’re getting more than just a cleaning, double check costs with your insurance directly. I know my parents also had issues with the billing department as well reference 5 months for a prior authorization to deny a crown. Luckily for them, Smile just swallowed the cost and moved on. Not getting the same luxury on our end. All the dentist are great and we loved them, but I think it’s time we cut our losses.

Fantastic experience: I had been suffering with dental pain for 3 days. I don't have a regular dentist and was calling dentists in the area. Some never returned my call. Smile Solutions Dentistry actually answered the phone and was happy to get me in the same day. Dr. Small was accommodating and explained my options. The hygienist and front desk were pleasant and made me feel comfortable. This practice is spotless and impeccably run.

Positive experience: Last visit was less than great. Through no fault of hygienist apparently equipment wasn’t working correctly, thus why use the said room? Then her headlamp went out and after many attempts finally got the overhead lamp on right spot. It just seemed that the cleaning was very quick and maybe I just did a better job of brushing and flossing this time but honestly teeth didn’t feel as clean as usual. I wondered why she wasn’t rinsing my mouth periodically only to find out as mentioned above that apparatus apparently wasn’t working. We eventually changed rooms but even then I had to keep wiping the water running off my face/cheeks/forehead from the ‘rinsing mechanism’ being taking out of my mouth ’. Does she know how to use it correctly ?? Dentist was busy and couldn’t see me. ? Really? I like to have dentist check each time. And perhaps that has changed but All in all very disappointed

Negative experience: Slapped with a huge bill AFTER they gave me a print out stating my insurance would cover. Keep in mind I had to come back 2xs because the crown they installed was cracked. Wouldn't work with me considering I was inconvenienced 2xs (wouldn't shave anything off my bill, coming back 2xs). The front staff wasn't apologetic and no one ever called (just text) nor did I receive a bill in the mail. I will be going back to my other dentist. I tried this location because they are closer to my residence.

Negative experience: Very disappointing experience. Front desk staff was rude and unprofessional over my child being 10 minutes late. I had no issue paying the late fee—it was the way they spoke to me that was unacceptable. They’ve lost my business, along with several others I had referred. I’ll be sharing this with my network.

Fantastic experience: I spent years with severe anxiety about going to the dentist, but just a few visits with Dr. Smidt made that a thing of the past. Everyone is very friendly, accommodating, and now I actually enjoy going to the dentist.

Positive experience: My visit was very pleasant. I have been to many different dentist and offices and this is clearly, by far the very best experience I have had. The personal are kind, patient, show concern and professional. I have in the past felt great anxiety anticipating my dental appointment, however my anxiety is greatly reduced for the reasons above. Update: the work I had done failed so even though all the above is true the work over time didn’t hold up in the quality department

The clear and precise dental plan allow for advance planning and budgeting. This place is kid friendly, my three year old enjoyed her visit and she love to floss now. Fantastic experience: Dr. Miller and Smile Solutions Dentistry was awesome today. I was worried and self conscious about my crown falling out and not having an appointment. They were able to squeeze me in to their busy day on a Friday. I was in and out in about 30 mins.

Fantastic experience: I've got to say, Smile Solutions Dentistry is one of the best dental experiences I've ever had. Just yesterday, I had my four wisdom teeth removed, and I was already dealing with an issue from a leftover spacer that was causing infection and pain. I was worried it would affect my surgery. The doctor from that place informed me that they didn’t have anything available for me, and it’s urgent for me to be removed. Then, I called Smile Solutions Dentistry, and they went above and beyond. The lady who answered the phone was super nice, spoke Spanish, and was very accurate in getting me scheduled. When my fiancé and I arrived, we were treated with professionalism and special care. The nurse and doctor were amazing, and the nurse even held my hand during the procedure because she knew I was going to be in pain. What really impressed me was how they treated me it was my first time there, and I felt completely at ease. They not only removed the problematic piece but also cleaned the area to prevent further infection. My fiancé is now planning to go there too, and I'm definitely coming back. I highly recommend Smile Solutions Dentistry for their exceptional care and attention.

Fantastic experience: This was the first time I met Dr. Smidt and he was awesome! Such good chair side manner and very attentive to ensuring I was comfortable! Yasmine was also so awesome and made me fill very comfortable!!

Negative experience: I’m really disappointed with my recent visit. I never write reviews, but I am still in shock in how poor my experience was. I had not been to the dentist in a few years, but wanted to get back to improve my overall health, though I had no pain in my teeth, I noticed one tooth darkening. During my first visit Dr Mathew, stated I needed a root canal which I listened and went to go get the treatment at a recommended location in a different dentistry right away. This other dentist I went to have the root canal procedure took his time, told me step by step what to expect, was so meticulous, provided end of care procedures. The root canal dentist even recommended I wait a week before doing the crown procedure on my root canal and also suggested having my deep cleaning prior to the crown. Dr Mathews office was quick to wanting me to get the root canal even suggesting going in the day after the root canal procedure; I had to tell them I would rather wait and told them about possibly needing a cleaning before which was recommended. The lady in the phone was like yes I’ll tell Dr Mathew’s maybe a localized cleaning”. When I went to Dr Mathew’s a week later for crowning procedure it all felt rushed he even caught himself saying “getting this done quickly” which he realized he said and quickly took it back. He was working back and forth with me and other people which I get that he was busy, but this is not what upset me..this is all just the start. His assistant that was clearly new took X-rays of my teeth, which hurt when she placed the things inside my mouth to bite down. Another assistant came in to show her how to take the X-ray photos and they end up having to take more basically having me as a guinea pig to teach the new assistant. Then, Dr Mathew’s asked the new assistant to complete a procedure for me while he works on another patient. It was so painful despite being under heavy anesthesia. She was taking so long and I was bleeding so much, to the point where I could not take it anymore and I kindly asked her if it’s suppose to hurt, she said “it depends on the person” I quickly ask her in a kind voice, “can you please just have the dentist do it” (I just honestly had a feeling she was inexperienced and it shouldn’t hurt. I read into this procedure everyone states the actual root canal should hurt not the crown procedure.) She was so upset with that I asked for the dentist, that she didn’t say a word to me and left the room. Never came back. Tell me why I heard her asking the dentist I needed more anesthesia, I wanted to cry. I got so lucky, Edith the older assistant came in and got the procedure done painless/quick she had to stop all the bleeding. I told Dr Mathew about what happened with the prior assistant he apologized; he never came back to the room. No after care, no preventative care discussion. Luckily, Edith did answer my questions I had and I appreciate that so much. I’m just in disbelief that I had to pay so much for a crown treatment with such a horrible experience where I am still cut and have swollen gums. The root canal procedure with the other root canal dentist at the other office had given me hope in trusting the dentists again, but Bright Smiles in Harrisburg just reminded me of why I am afraid to visit dentists. Please do better. Train your new staff. Take the time with your patients.

Fantastic experience: I love this office; they accommodate your appointments and also provide dental care for my small children. They are very patient and friendly with the kids. I never feel like they are trying to make unnecessary procedures or try to charge things I don’t need; which is something most dentist firms try to do. Highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: Very clean offices, staff is incredibly nice ! Went in for extreme tooth pain for a while, and was scheduled right away for a root canal, they were all very easy to work with, and super kind about my dental anxiety. I have a terrible gag reflex, even brushing my teeth can make me almost throw up, and I did not have a single moment of discomfort. The relief I felt after is wild ! No pain during the procedure, and barely sore afterwards unless I was moving the muscles in my mouth around excessively.
