Fantastic experience: We had an amazing experience with Dr Hussein. He was friendly and thorough from the introduction, through the procedures, and for follow up. The entire team was present and happy, made my son feel very safe and comfortable. We were very apprehensive going into the appointment and everything exceeded our expectations. The energy was amazing and we were treated with the best care. thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: I just brought my one year old in for her very first dentist appointment and it was such a great experience! The front desk staff was kind, giving her a first time visit sticker, and informative. The technician that brought us to the back was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! She gave my daughter a sticker, a toothbrush to play with and surprised us with a bubble machine while we waited for her cleaning. The other technician that did my daughter’s cleaning was very friendly, gentle and helpful. The doctor was also gentle, friendly and informative. We were sent home with a bag of floss picks, a baby toothbrush, toothpaste and stickers! We’re looking forward to our next appointment! Thank you for making it such an stress-free and enjoyable experience for our first time.

Fantastic experience: Our experience at Smile Lodge Clifton Park has been so much better than the office we have been going to for years. We are so relieved to have found The Smile Lodge, staff were very kind and welcoming it is apparent that they truly care for the children in their practice. Dr Hussein and the sedation team, were compassionate, and did a flawless job on my grandson’s procedure. He even checked in on us the next morning to make sure everything went well. I am grateful for how much they make use feel like we’re part of the “family” I would highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: We had the best experience at Smile Lodge. Dr. McDonnell is truly amazing and thorough. Our son was sedated and while I was nervous at first, the doctor assured us that it would all be fine and it sure was! He and his incredible team of nurses kept our son comfortable and at ease through his procedure. He received three crowns and multiple fillings all within 12 minutes. We are so thankful we found this dental office and feel very lucky for the amazing care we were given. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: The Smile Lodge is the best in the area for pediatric dentistry - everyone we have seen here are so patient and kind from reception to dentist. The waiting rooms are geared for small children & helps to put them at ease before entering the office. The bell outside is wonderful so many children look forward to ringing it.

Fantastic experience: My daughter recently had an appointment that she needed sedation for. Going into it, I was nervous and scared for her. Once the procedure began, Dr. Hussein and his sedation team were extremely amazing and took the time to not only make sure my daughter was okay but that myself and my husband were okay as well.

They have been top professionals, which is becoming rare these days, and all have been knowledgeable, poised, and experienced to make the process easy on our child! Fantastic experience: We had our first appointment with the The Smile Lodge Pediatric Dentistry (06/16/2025) and we were so impressed. The building and decor Is absolutely adorable an appealing for children. The staff is amazing !! So kind and fun for the children. I can’t recommend them enough for all your children’s dental care.

My daughter had multiple cavities and it took longer to start and finish sedation than it did for the procedure. The smile lodge is going to be my children's primary dentist after this experience!

Fantastic experience: I had the time of my appointment wrong and I showed up 2 hrs early. They were kind enough to get us right in! Wow, that never happens. It is very easy to make an appointment, and only took about two weeks to get scheduled. It was my daughter‘s 1st x-ray and Cleaning. They were very patient and friendly. Everyone was great! Fantastic experience: I was there last Thursday June 5 2025 I just no words starts when you come in such a clean comfortable seating area exceptional great nurses and doctors have so much patience for all youre questions till you really understand eavrything what the plan will be and how the recovery will be did such a professional job I'm really happy that I went over there to fix my doughters teeth I wish thay have more offices so more people can get things done fast for such a great team.thanks again

Fantastic experience: My two year-old daughter got two teeth pulled and two caps, and I’ve got to say that the team That had done it Were the best they were awesome with my daughter And made her feel comfortable we were in the room during the Process and they We’re making sure that we were OK because believe me it was very very stressful. As a parent of an autistic 8-year-old, dental visits can be incredibly stressful—but this team has completely changed that experience for us. Dr. Hussein is calm, patient, and incredibly understanding. He takes the time to explain each step. The Sedation Team works seamlessly together to create a safe, soothing environment where my son feels comfortable and respected. Fantastic experience: They are the best! They are so kind and calm when it comes to anxieties that my kiddos have. Wonderful staff. And great dental work. I don’t think I could recommend them more, except maybe that they offered services for adults too!

Fantastic experience: I would give more stars if I could! This was the absolute best dentist experience I have ever had! This was the first time either one of my children needed any type of surgery. We were all nervous. Everyone single worker made us feel 100% better with their amazing personalities and professionalism. My daughter is now recovering and resting. The whole surgery went smooth from beginning to end and made my husband and I feel much better ☺️

Fantastic experience: This office is nothing short of amazing! They are perfect dentists for children and very much worth the drive (1hr 30mins for me). This is the only dentist my 3.5 year old has been to and because of them she is never scared! She even had a procedure under sedation and wasn't afraid at all! These people really know how to make their patients and parents comfortable! I will never take my kiddo anywhere else! Thank you to Dr. Shah and her wonderful nurses!!!

Positive experience: Had a couple times where the times weren't right on the day of the appt or miscommunication but otherwise everyone there is absolutely amazing! Very welcoming and listens to what worries you have for your child's teeth. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: My son was having severe tooth pain. Sadly he got passed down for me and my bad enamel. So when he started having a lot of teeth pain, we contacted the smile Lodge and they got us in as soon as we could and they helped take care of my son‘s teeth. I highly recommend that if your child is having teeth pain, you contact them as soon as possible.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. They literally are like angels working on your children. I watched them work on my five-year-old stepdaughter while they worked on 12 of her teeth in 15 minutes they sang beautiful songs. They just are a beautiful group of people. The smile lodge is one of the greatest experiences you can ever give your child. They always take care of my child and when I say that they work miracles at the last minute they work miracles. Fantastic experience: We have been going to The Smile Lodge for about 4 years and it has always been an amazing experience. Recently one of my 6-year-olds has developed anxiety and this visit was a little more difficult for him. The staff went above and beyond to make sure he felt comfortable and to help him through it. Everyone was so kind and caring. My only recommendation is to please open a location for adults or start accepting adult patients because I, too, would like to feel safe and comfortable at the dentist !!

Fantastic experience: Hands-down worth it! We as a family drove almost 2 hours to this location for them to help us with our son‘s mouth. My son is ADHD and hyper sensitive to sounds this place was beyond phenomenal. They were so patient and kind the dentist we had was Dr. Shah . She was amazing along with the staff. I Would do it again over and over if we had to thank God we don’t they were able to do everything at one time!!! lol. if you’re looking for a place for your children to feel safe and comfortable and build good relationship with dentist this is your place. Trust me!!!

Fantastic experience: This place was great so good and patient with my 6 year old son. He has a big fear of any dentist or dr and they got the job done Dr Hussein and his team had the patience with my boy and that was just what he needed. Sending a follow up text we me the next day checking in to make sure we were good giving him things to do well we waited to pre occupy his mind also helped.

Fantastic experience: Hi all..this week my 6 yr old grandson had to have some dental work done that required sedation. We were both a bit anxious but tried to be brave...and I have to say that Dr.Hussein and the sedation nurses (I'm sorry I forgot everyone's names) were amazing! They got us through with their warm and loving manner....and Landon loved that they sang the Spiderman song! (He remembered that!) This was a bit emotional for me but I truly felt my grandson was in good hands...and I was able to stay with him the whole time. Love the Smile Lodge!! Thank you all!

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a wonderful experience for a already scary situation for her needing sedation for spacer insertion a extraction and several caps filings at once. CANT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT STACY! she took time to really bond with our girl did everything she could to make it good experience for her. DR. MCMAHON was also amazing done with all work in 10 min and so attentive to her and us in room. Will bring both my children to them from now on.

Fantastic experience: My 2-year-old daughter, who is on the spectrum, was seen for cavities at The Smile Lodge, under the care of Dr. Eric McMahon, D.D.S. He treated my daughter as if she were his own child, ensuring that everything was perfectly set up so she wouldn’t have to be in discomfort for long. While many dentists may overlook these small but important details. Dr. McMahon took the time to make the experience as quick and gentle as possible. His work was exceptional, and overall, I felt that he genuinely cared about our well-being, not just about filling another cavity. As a mom, I was scared and hesitant to follow through with the appointment, but thanks to Dr. McMahon, we got through it—and now, I won’t be afraid to come back again. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: My son who is 7 and autistic required sedation during his dental procedure. He had the most amazing dentist Mr McMahon and his team that made this so comforting and I was very informed! They assisted and made sure I was okay, not just my son, during the procedure and after. If we had to do it again, I would choose that team over and over!

Fantastic experience: The entire staff was great. I have a child with autism who required special attention and care. They were incredibly patient and made sure my son was comfortable before, during and after his procedure. They also have private rooms for those who experience sensory overload.

Negative experience: Strongly disliked my experience with Dr. Sung. She treated me like I was an idiot and her suggestions were totally inappropriate for my son’s age- a chart to track his brushing habits…he’s 18 months old.

Fantastic experience: Had the pleasure of meeting all the wonderful nurses today who lead by Dr. Shah did a marvelous job extracting my 6 year old daughter's teeth (2 of them). The team of wonderful nurses - Hannah, Rachel, and Mckenzie all were so helpful and professional from start to finish. They made the whole process smooth and followed-up with us even after hours to make sure our daughter was doing well. A++++

Fantastic experience: Understanding patience Care KEEP YOU UPDATED ON YOUR KID CARE MY BABY IS NONVERBAL AND THEY DIDN'T NOT TREAT HIM WEIRD They helped me to my vehicle after the appointment and ensure we are okay. They made my day easier when. They keep me in the loop with every step and didn't not do any whispering which I appreciate. You are welcome by the front desk with a smile and it set the tone because they all keep up the tone.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. My son had to get work done under sedation. From start to finish there was a staff member in the room with us talking about every little step that was taking place and explaining it to us. They checked in with me as well to make sure I was handling everything okay. They played music to ease the mood & constantly reassured us. Dr. Hussein was the doctor who did the procedure & was EXCELLENT! He was so pleasant & took the best care of us. He even reached out to us after to check in on us. A little step goes a long way! The nurses, staff, drs here are amazing and I 100% recommend.

Fantastic experience: My son went in for a procedure that may have been scary for a 5 year old, however, the nurses, hygienists and Dr McMahon made this a positive experience for him as well as us as parents. We drove an hour and half to go to The Smile Lodge for treatment and I am happy to say we will continue to drive for our routine cleanings!

The lovely ladies on the sedation team are also absolutely amazing & caring! I wouldn’t recommend another dentist for your child besides Smile Lodge!! Fantastic experience: My daughter goes to the Clifton Park office and grandma (who brings her) has said multiple times how this office is like a “well oiled machine” and “they work so well together” and they are “awesome.” I said find out if adults can go because I want to go too!

They are so welcoming and kindness radiates throughout the entire staff. I would recommend this dentistry to everyone! 10/10

Fantastic experience: AMAZING experience!!! I can’t even put into words how awesome our experience was. My daughter Kiki has soft teeth and we’ve been through five different dentists. She was quite traumatized by having four caps put on when she was just four. The dentist who did that procedure sedated her and refused to allow parents in the room. He later was arrested for having images of minors on his devices. Long story but was very disturbing to us all. Fast forward to now and we were recently pulled into the hallway so that our daughter’s dentist could tell us how incredibly decayed our daughter’s teeth are. He wanted to pull her adult tooth and made it seem as if the work she needed was shocking. The smile lodge got us in the same day and did 90% of the work needed the next day. UNBELIEVABLE!! All while my daughter was laughing and the staff was singing. The Smile Lodge sets the gold standard for how every last dental practice should operate. This place is a well oiled machine. Just incredible!!! Staff was such a joy and was clear that they were the best of the best. We drove an hour and a half to get to this office. I would have driven across country for this experience.

Fantastic experience: My niece was having a lot of trouble with her teeth and needed a lot of work done. This place was a bit of a drive for us, but well worth it. Everyone is happy and friendly & made us feel safe and heard. They explained everything and even let us sit in the room with her while she had work done. They also did what other dentists would have turned into 6 visits in one visit. Can’t say enough about his place. It’s an absolute gem and we need these all over the country. Their approach to children’s dentistry is amazing.

Fantastic experience: From start to finish we had a great experience. The entire team is amazing. My 7yr old daughter has terrible anxiety going to the dentist, they all made her feel so welcomed and safe. The next morning I even received a text asking how she’s doing. This location is also so clean and well kept. I highly recommend the Clifton park location.

Fantastic experience: My son had his teeth capped yesterday and it was such a great experience given how scary anesthesia can be for little ones! All of the staff went out of their way to distract and explain things in a kid friendly way so he wasn’t scared. His procedure lasted maybe 20 minutes and then we were brought right in and with him when he was waking up. That night the dentist texted me to follow up and see how he was doing and asked if I had any questions. Love the professionalism!!

Fantastic experience: My child is terrified of the dentist but you'd have no idea seeing him at Smile Lodge. The staff are wonderful and so kid-centric and friendly. His procedure couldn't have gone better and he is all smiles (and actually asked to go back to the dentist!!?) You all do amazing work!

Fantastic experience: We love the Smile Lodge! The service they provide to children and parents is top notch. They are kind, caring and quick. They have always done a great job putting our kids at ease about the dentist that our kids love going to the dentist now!

Fantastic experience: Dr Hussein and his team were great and very friendly, I took my 4 year old son for some filling and capping, the whole procedure took about 30 minutes, and everything was successful at the end. From my experience they were really great with my son trough the whole procedure , comforting him.

Fantastic experience: Dr Hussein & the amazing women on the sedation team were absolutely incredible. My 3 year old had a cracked tooth that was unfortunately unable to be saved. The most traumatic experience for a mother was not as traumatic with their help and guidance. Throughout the entire procedure I was told what was happening when it was happening and how it was happening, a sweet woman rubbed my little girls eyebrows and talked her through it, Dr Hussein sang and worked his magic. My little girl, I was so proud of her and how she did. I can’t thank this team enough for all they did and how wonderful they made this experience.

Fantastic experience: Five stars aren't enough for my rating. I can't express how much Dr. Hussein and the ladies for the sedation team cared for my 2 yr old grandson that has Spectrum Autism. Everyone was so understanding and professional doing their job. They go far as making sure what was planned for the procedure for your understanding and seeing if there are any questions you might have. Dr. Hussein did check to how my grandson was doing. He's doing great considering what he went through. I highly recommend taking any child that has any conditions or anxiety to Autism issues in the care of The Smile Lodge Pediatric Dentistry in Clifton Park!!!.. Fantastic experience: The staff was very knowledgeable and they made my son feel very comfortable and at ease when it was time for his procedure. They worked very efficiently and made me feel very secure while my son was under the anesthesia. The nurses were excellent and so kind and Dr. McMahon is as good as they come. Such an awesome team and highly recommend for anyone looking for a solid dental team.

Fantastic experience: All the way from syracuse (liverpool) we drove 2hr 15 mins and it was worth it!!. Once you step through the doors everyone was super welcoming and very professional. We came for a consultation and we ended up getting everything done that same day. They took into consideration how far we were coming from. Kiera was so awesome and Dr Hussein. The cherry on top was Dr. McDonnell he extracted my son's tooth and did his fillings, he is perfect with kids, the humor, everything.Talking to my son(5) about everything thats happening, making him feel safe. THIS WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD WITH A DENTIST. 6k views trust me THIS PLACE IS THE REAL DEAL

Fantastic experience: I’ve brought all three of my children to the smile lodge for the last 10 years - this was the first experience I had with my child needing to be sedated for a tooth extraction and needless to say the entire team was extremely welcoming, and comforting to not only my daughter - but me. The work they did was amazing, and not even 24 hours later she’s in absolutely no pain, and back to her goofy self! I will never take my children anywhere but the smile lodge. Me, and my family are so grateful for all of them!!

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a baby tooth that was not loosening up and since the primary tooth had already come in completely they wanted to remove it - there was no rescheduling they scooted her into another room and had her booked and the tooth removed within 30 minutes of making the decision to have them take it out. Come to find out the baby tooth had an inch long root which was why it didn’t come out on its own. She was happy and treated so well and they were extremely patient with her! Thank you all at the smile lodge for your team work and care of my little girl.

Fantastic experience: Can't express how wonderful everyone here is, best dental appointment experience my daughter has had. Editing to add that we just went in for her sedation appointment yesterday, Dr. McMahon and the nurses were amazing, they were so accommodating and kind. Great work and so happy to have found such a great place that makes kids and parents feel comfortable and taken care of. You can tell they love what they do and they do a wonderful job

Fantastic experience: Dr. McMahon from the Smile Lodge his team was a 5 star rating on ny opinion my child had no pain at the time and she didn’t cry or have a fight while any teeth removed or caps put on and her teeth were by a nerve the service done great and we sit in the room the whole time the worst part was her coming off the meds our drive home I would say get a hotel for the night but also her trying to walk beside that some swollen and soreness but over all top notch service for children everyone was very kinda and my child felt loved and highly recommend if you want great service and it was very clean also bathroom and the dentist rooms and very great setting for kids cartoons on the latest one also and they even have cartoon like baby shark on the clothes my child was kept safe warm and claim the whole time and she never had been up while having her teeth done great job thank you for such great service I was more nervous then anything but it all worked out

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hussein and Nurse Reagan were absolutely phenomenal today. My son who is four years old, already had a traumatic experience with an emergency procedure that needed to take place. Dr. Hussein and nurse Reagan were extremely accommodating, polite, professional, engaging, and took the most precious time with my four-year-old. If I ever had to do this again, they would be the same people I called. I absolutely love the smile, Lodge for my babies and thanks again to Dr. Hussein and nurse Reagan. All of the team members at the Clifton Park and East Greenbush location were extremely helpful during this time.. This was a very sensitive and crucial emergency for my family. I thank this team so very much. Thank you to Dr. Hussein who told me to go back to the emergency room and fill My Baby up with antibiotics. His lip would have never went down and our matter would probably be worse so again thank you to Dr. Hussein.I look forward to seeing you guys soon! Fantastic experience: Such a fantastic and caring staff. The nurses were wonderful explaining my son's pre and post op instructions. They were sweet to my son and made sure he was comfortable the entire time we were there. Dr. McMahon was great, caring and checked in hours after to make sure my son was doing well and I had no questions.

Fantastic experience: My son goes here and he recently had a few cavities filled. My child is only 4 but they did such an amazing job. It’s a stressful time in the moment but I’m impressed with them and Dr.Hussein was AMAZING!!!!!! Would recommend any parent to bring their child here. 10/10 experience overall experience everytime.
