Negative experience: I made an appointment and was sent a confirmation and when I arrived on the day of my appointment they turned me away stating they didn't have me scheduled. That is poor business etiquette. I am an independent contractor and when I don't work I am not paid . I took off work used my gas to go to this appointment, and to be turned away with a sorry we have to reschedule is unacceptable. If that is an indication of how they care for their patients, I will look for another dentist. Although you receive a confirmation it is best to call to make sure. I didn't even want to give 1 star but I was unable to post without it

Fantastic experience: I was very surprised at all the cars in the parking lot. The customer service was outstanding. My doctors were very helpful in helping to understand what they were doing at each step of this process. I could not ask for a better support team and staff. If you don’t have a dentist this is the place to pick.

Fantastic experience: I received great service soon as I walked in. I was greeted soon as I walked in & as I left. I must say my best experience of them all was with the hygienist who cleaned my teeth (unfortunately I forgot her name) but she deserves a million stars for the jov she did cleaning my teeth! I’ve had stains in my teeth for years & seen other dentist that “acted” like they couldn’t get them off but she did! I left feeling like a new man with a new smile! I couldn’t be anymore satisfied!

Fantastic experience: Omg! I am here in Delaware working. I called most of the dental clinics around, but could not get an appointment. My husband went online and found this dental office. I completed a form and chose the next day appointment. I also mixed up my appointment time (almost missed it), but they accommodated me. Sofia was my dental hygienist. She was efficient, professional, and diligent. The dentist (MD) was down to earth, made me laugh, and it felt like home. The ladies at the reception were savvy and extremely polite. I will refer people to this dental office any day, anytime!!

Fantastic experience: Great office. Got me in as a new patient with no issues. Got me in and out in about 35 minutes. That was with X-rays and a cleaning. I don’t think I ever got out the dentist office that fast lol

Negative experience: very bad experience. Last year, I only requested teeth cleaning and they did X-ray without asking me. I received a bill later. I paid the bill. This year, I was asked to do the X-ray again and I expressed my concern and experience from last year. The doctor claimed that there would be no charge. I asked the doc to double check because I received the bill last year. The doctor confirmed it after talking with someone outside the room. One month later, I received the exact same bill again. I called the office and they just didn’t want to cancel the bill. The specialist who answered the phone claimed that all the charges were estimated and they couldn’t guarantee the cost. This is absurd. If you couldn’t guarantee, why did you recommend customers to do it after the customer expressed the concerns.

Fantastic experience: Recently relocated to DE and needed a dentist quickly. Everyone at American Dental Care was friendly, professional and extremely helpful from the dentist to the hygienist and administrative staff! They worked hard to get me in as quickly as possible and not only fixed my cracked tooth but gave me a cleaning the same day! Highly recommend!!

Negative experience: Dental office & Billing Department are not in sync- Receptionist in the office charge my credit card immediately soon as i checked in before getting the service and before i walk out of the office another receptionist tried to collect from me again the charges - so i have to tell her i paid immediately soon as i checked in showing my receipt from the credit card charged- today 6/26/25 i was again sent by their billing department telling me i have unpaid balance of 346.00… good thing i kept all my receipts-that really pissed me and got stressed"i have to call them to correct all this issues— Management of this place have to do something about this - i believed that this is not the first time it happened- they could have done it to somebody else!

Fantastic experience: I’m always anxious about dental appointments but I had an issue that needed attending to. I felt very comfortable when I walked into the office; the dental hygienist explained everything to me that would occur and calmed my anxiety. Dr Harsh was great; he explained everything thoroughly and made suggestions for future visits. I was very pleased with my visit; very friendly and compassionate staff.

Negative experience: Total waste of time. They asked me to come early, then left me waiting 45 minutes. Dr. Harsh spent less than 5 minutes with me, barely made eye contact, and clearly didn’t want to be there. Then they quoted me for two crowns — for a problem that, according to a second opinion, only involved one tooth that didn’t even need a crown. Felt like a blatant attempt to upsell unnecessary work. Avoid.

Fantastic experience: I was dealing with a cracked tooth on the back left side. Had an appointment with another office, but couldn't be seen until 2 months which I knew I could never make it that long. My wife suggest American Dental from her experience with them. She was correct they got me in same day. Dr. Patel was excellent, the assistant told me, if you wanted anyone extracting you want him. He was correct, tooth was out and didn't realize it was over. Would highly recommend, I didn't regret it.

Negative experience: I would NEVER recommend this dentist ever. After waiting over 20 years and deciding to finally pull my teeth and get dentures I chose here. This man could care less about you or your experience. Masked in a friendly demeanor he does not see you, he sees the conveyor belt in front of him. I was embarrassed and also had to wait almost 8 months for my dentures due to vacations and just not being told my teeth were in etc. The billing girls are amazing but the dental crew need a serious check!!! Wait for an appointment, go to small f a flyer owned. Support local business, it is always worth the wait.

Positive experience: First I did not see the dentist today.... Secondly I commented to the Hygienist how I didn't appreciate waiting so long.... Yes they called me to the back very quickly...... But then....I waited and waited and waited! We are charged for no shows...have to reschedule if we are a few minutes late.... I feel everybody is over booked an our time is not Valued... We should back charge for our time wasted waiting.! I've never had such a fast cleaning as I had today.... After Hygienist telling me ... they take their time with all clients.... Guessing I wasn't worthy of the same! I did not feel I got the cleaning I normally get..... Very Disappointed! Our time is just as important as anyone else.... Except for the fact..... We aren't getting paid for sitting around and waiting!

Positive experience: I felt the male dentist hygienist was behind time. Rushing through the x-rays. Great to see him in a career that’s dominated by females. On the other Stephanie didn’t miss a beat with her cleaning. Positive experience: Have not been to a dentist in an embarrassingly long time. From making the appointment to how quickly I got into the office, everything was smooth. You wouldn’t know from the parking lot that there wasn’t going to be a wait. The 2 people who cared for me (one for x ray one for cleaning) were AMAZING! So kind! Admittedly I would return bc of them. The dr was good and addressed my concerns, just seemed in a rush. All in all I will return and have already recommend them.

Negative experience: I initially made an appointment for my son in 2024. My GPS gave me the wrong location so I ended up with a no show fee of $55 because I decided not to reschedule . I paid the fee, a year later received a call indicating I had a balance, I explained that it was taken care of. The lady indicated on the phone she was sending me to collections. I called back a few days later to give them my name for them to locate in their system that I don’t have a balance . I didn’t like the lady’s tone on the phone raising her voice at me “we fixed the issue have a great day”. I’m glad I don’t live in Dover, DE anymore worst customer service , worst place to live to find a good dentist or medical care. I do not recommend just based off their customer service and being in component when I paid a bill and telling me I owe and you will send me to collections.

Positive experience: I had a dental appt on 8 may that started almost 30 minutes late. The appointment was for a deep clean where the lady said no one was available to numb my mouth and so tried with a topical gel. A doctor came in after she tried and I put head phones on to calm myself and so I did not hear convo. He left and she tried again.After some time of not being able to finish because i was not numb and so said it would be a while before a doctor would be availableto numb me, yes that means she clean most my teeth without having the proper numbing. She had 2 teeth left she said and by the way this was an hour in. She gets the same guy see spoke to previous to numb me and after two weeks my face in still numb in those spots and was swollen for 8 days along with blurring of my left eye.. I could not eat on my left side Mothers Day weekend because pressing to chew caused pain. After much thought of this being intentional because she had me sign a waiver first and after I asked why did I not need one for my entire right side weeks before, she gave me a lecture and so called went to ask the doctor when I asked to skip a tooth with a cap she went to ask someone and after 20 minutes I went looking for her to find she wasn't in any of the rooms but had returned to the one I was in like a magic trick. Then she says we'll he said I could refuse a tooth after lecturing me previously for 20minutes telling me that if would not be a good decision on her part etc and she pretty much was refusing to deep clean my mouth.Today I'm still numb and sore in the two spots she spent 30 minutes going back and forth on, the two teeth areas that are still numb might I mentioned were bleeding because she chewed my gums with the machine. The lady which did my right side I left a nice review weeks prior. Oh and she sent a survey. For a side where she did top and bottom and was suppose to be the worse side and I left intact. Not what happened with my left. I gave this sometime as I wanted to believe she had good intentions and then I thought about all the young men that go without parents because they are of age and my son who goes to the same office may have thought the same or try to be easy going and get taken advantage of in this way without concern. I wondered over these two weeks if I was a Caucasian woman would she have done the same?

Fantastic experience: I went to American Dental this week and can say that I have nothing but positive things to say. Damaris did my cleaning and Shy did my x-rays. They were both fantastic. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and efficient. The doctor had a great bedside manner. I will be honest when I say that I was a little apprehensive going through with my appointment because of some of the reviews. I'm glad I did because they absolutely have a client moving forward. Negative experience: A literal dentist nightmare. After going back and forth updating my insurance info prior to my appointment, I showed up and sat in the waiting room for almost a half hour, finally get called back into the room all to be asked for the 10th time if I have new insurance. I gave the doctor my card and then waited again for almost 20 minutes. Finally “dr. Raji” comes back in and does x-rays (which thinking back I should have said I don’t need the x-rays) and then tells me that it’s been too long since my last appointment and wants to do a “more in depth cleaning” I figured she meant right then and there so I said sure. Next thing you know she tells me the doctor will be in to discuss my x-rays and she will escort me out to make a new appointment for the “more in depth cleaning”. So after showing up to my 11:45 appointment not having anything started until after 12:30 she proceeds to make a mockery of the situation and tells me that I wasted HER time because I didn’t update my insurance. As if they don’t make getting doctors appointments hard enough… the time I spent prior to my appointment making sure everything was set with my new insurance, taking a half day at work, all to be refused a cleaning. Absolutely disgusting and I will never be back to this joke of a dentistry.

Negative experience: American dental did not clean my teeth. The hygienist came in and looked at my teeth and said that my teeth looked like her daughter. All of a sudden, she said she was done. My teeth was not cleaned. I will report to the insurance. I will not refer anyone to them. I rate them a zero. This will be the second time I will use them. Never again.

Negative experience: I’m only adding one because 0 stars isn’t an Option. Saw the dentist for less than a min, 45mins after my apt. Stated he can’t help me but proceeded to press hard with two fingers down on the infected tooth. No bedside manner, same with his assistant. I was expressing my anxiety and she did nothing to help, or calm.

Negative experience: I had a 12:30 appointment on Monday 4/21/25. Arrived on time checked in and was advised of my co-pay. Shortly after check in . A very pleasant young woman escorted me to the room for my cleaning. I was waiting patiently for the hygienist to come in to start the process. After sitting in the chair for over ahalf and hour almost falling asleep no one came in to check nor start the process. I don't know if they were overbooked or what. So I got up took off the thing they clip on your neck and kindly walked out. I requested another appointment when the hygienist was available because it was almost 1:30 now. They said the would contact me to reschedule. However, It now 12:19 pm the next day and haven't heard from anyone. I very disappointed in the service i received.

Positive experience: I initially had a pleasant first visit but scheduling is terrible, I made appointment and it was canceled the day before because I didn't respond to a text, text message wasn't asking for confirmation, but i did receive a phone call but the phone call was to telling me availability the day before, due to the nature of my job I can't just take off at a whim so now I had to schedule 2 months out.

Negative experience: Previously I had very good experience but this time I felt rushed and ripped off. The dental hygienist insisted on deep cleaning instead of regular cleaning. After I paid the $92 fee at the site for the deep cleaning, I was charged another $45 with no explanation. Beyond that the hygienist said I should come back for the regular cleaning instead 30 days but the scheduler could not give me appointment until September. Disappointed and searching for alternative dentist.
Fantastic experience: The dental hygienist remembered me from 4 years ago (I know, I know) and made me feel comfortable enough to finally go through the x-ray process. Found out some minor issues I need to address and appointments were set up quickly. Had fun conversation (in between suctions). Great place, great people and always felt comfortable.

Positive experience: My son had a wonderful time at his first ever dentist visit. The staff was gentle and kind with my quiet and nervous little one. He left happy and excited to visit again in the future. My only wish would be that the person at the front desk be a little warmer welcoming. It would have gone a long way to quiet a little one's nerves.

Negative experience: Sorry to report this was one of the worst experiences i’ve ever had at a dentist office. From the disinterested front desk, not acknowledging me standing right in front of her for a few minutes then immediately asking me to pay my portion of the fee. Someone came to get me to bring me to the back, neither she nor the hygienist ever introduced themselves. My mouth was so sore for a week and a half, and I ended up with canker sores within a few days of the visit. I also learned after speaking with a dentist I am actually going to be going to in the future that your office should have required me to take antibiotics since I’ve had recent surgeries which was barely clearly included in my medical history provided. I should’ve gotten the clue when it was difficult to get a parking spot. From start to finish, not good still waiting for my dental records to be forwarded to the new dentist.
Positive experience: In general I like American Dental Care, but if you have a cleaning, you have to ask them to clean good (deep), meaning to use pumice to remove the stains or where it's hard to reach at home. Otherwise your cleaning will be 5 minutes and you will not even feel that anything was done. You know and can feel when you got a deep cleaning, it's amazing feeling. I guess it depends on hygienist, some of them are amazing and taking their time to make sure you got a great cleaning, some of them don't really care too much. Today I left without the feeling that my teeth just got cleaned.
