West 10th Dental Group

Positive experience: Once I was actually seen, the care itself was good. One area that really bothers me is the wait time. I always check in 10 minutes or more before my appointment time. However, I never get called back to an exam chair until 20 minutes or so after my appointment time. Then I wait 10 minutes more for the hygienist to show up and start my cleaning. So my cleaning usually doesn’t start until 30 minutes or so after my appointment time. One time I was literally getting out of my car in their parking lot when they call me to say they have to reschedule my appointment because a hygienist was out. Yet, one time I had to reschedule an hour or so before my appointment because we had an emergency with my dying mother-in-law. I explained the issue to them when I called to reschedule but I was told that it would still count against me as a missed appointment toward whatever maximum number they allow. The moral of this story is that they can be late for or reschedule your appointment at the last minute, but you as a patient cannot do the same even in an emergency.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Parsey and the rest of the staff were awesome and spent the time discussing my care. They have worked with me to find a mutually available time for me even though I had to reschedule twice for my first appointment. Worth the wait!

Negative experience: Girl at checkin desk was on phone but never acknowledged me standing there for about 5 minutes. Just an acknowledgment that someone would be with me in a few minutes would have been nice. Several other ladies were sitting at checkout desks and never even offered to check me in until another customer came in and then the girl at check in directed me to one of the checkout desks

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with the doctors and nurses and staff, Very kind and want you to be comfortable and at ease. Doctor Eddie was absolutely Incredible right away didn't feel a thing as soon as he numbed my mouth. Very professional and very kind. I would definitely will be coming back here if I need any more work like I did no questions asked 5 out of 5 thank you so much.

Positive experience: Dr. Rochman is one of the best dentist I've ever experienced. The quality of care and understanding is impeccable. She is very knowledgeable and willing to ensure that all your questions are answered, for a person very uncomfortable with dentist her approach gains trust and eases the anxiousness. I appreaciate the new reception team and hope they will be respectful and confidential with patients information now and in the future.

Negative experience: Chair side manner was horrible!!!! The techs taking the picture rude and try’s to be intimidating. The communication between the assistants/ dentist was horrible!!! My daughter was left sitting in a chair after exam waiting for results for more than 20 minutes. Just throw the whole staff away!!!!

Negative experience: The assistants are a little rude and have communication barriers. They either have bad attitudes or very bad communication skills. The dentist was ok. And the dentist left my baby in the seat without letting us know what was going on. And what’s crazy is it’s always the African American women who are the worst and I’m African American but ghetto and rude should be left behind when you’re in a professional setting! Negative experience: Friendly personal, very knowledgeable in extreme dental situations, great Drs. On another visur 5/2025 went to my appointment for my self n my kids, 15min early, they call my kids, and did not call me an hr after, I had to reschedule, if u are not there on time they canceled your appointment, but if u do not get call, it's no problem, to top it i ve receive a letter later saying they had miss me, patients gad to keep their appointment, or call 48hrs to cancel...they were wrong not me.

Fantastic experience: I was checked in swiftly and serviced both promptly and lavishly. WOW.

Positive experience: I was asked to pay >$1800 up front before being allowed to even start this appointment. After I refused to pay the full amount for work not yet begun, I was allowed to proceed after paying half the amount. I was scheduled to see Dr. Christensen but never laid eyes on her. Instead, I saw four assistants who seemed to be doing preliminary computerized imaging of my mouth I had to ask each one her or his name. This practice should train all personnel to introduce themselves by at least their first name. At every visit I've made to this practice, I've had to ask assisting personnel their names. At my request, these assistants tried to explain what they were doing and why, but their explanations only conveyed what they were doing, not why it was necessary or exactly how it fits into my overall treatment plan. All the assistants were neatly dressed, clean, nicely groomed, and polite. The one who rescheduled me nicely heeded my scheduling constraints and worked around them. The treatment cubicle was icy cold; one assistant (Carla) agreed to bring me a blanket but seemed to have forgotten. Another assistant (Marissa) responded to my second request for one. I really liked the waterfall photograph on the wall in front of me. It was a nice distraction. I suggest you consider putting another nature photo on the ceiling, which would be easier for patients to see without repositioning their heads Near the end of the appointment, I was told a temporary crown cover was being removed and another being put on, but not why this was necessary. The abutment placement I was told was the purpose of this appointment seems not to have occurred. Overall, I left this appointment wondering why it (this appointment) was necessary. I have no dental insurance, so W 10th Dental gets full fee payment rather than the (presumed) pittance that insurers pay. I'm beginning to wonder if this is the reason I'm being scheduled for so many appointments. The quality of the work seems to be good; the state-of-the-art technology is impressive, but personnel need more training on introducing themselves, and on how to explain the reason for what they are doing.

Fantastic experience: I had my first visit to West 10th Dental Group due to excruciating tooth pain. I found the group through network insurance called and made an appt the next day. The phone call was helpful comforting and exact. The office was more than what I expected. Everything is in-house surgical, pediatrics orthodontist. I saw Dr Stacey Rochman who was awesome. Talked me through everything eased my mind and provided me an alternative I had not even thought of. Which was a less expensive course of treatment with the same results I wanted. I'm a fan and never thought I would feel this way about a Dental experience or practice.

Fantastic experience: There was one time they had trouble numbing my mouth like 3-4 injections in and the tooth end up crooked, but I came back and got it fixed no trouble with no extra charge, human mistake... understandable and they were nice about it. Outside of this instance I have had only good visits to this dentistry office.

Fantastic experience: This place is really good you really just have to give them the normal information you would give a normal dentist area and boom that's it, you can set up appointments quick and easy and when signing in when you have an appointment you just have to provide your name and other info. The staff is very paintent and the cleaning is also amazing. They really pay attention to areas that don't seem good, my daughter use to have cavities and things in her mouth and now their all gone and her teeth are doing way better than before!

Everyone is so warm and welcoming from Ms Amy from the reception to Dr Rochman and Melissa who are both so nice and very professional and always goes way beyond to help us, patients, to be relieved of all of our dental problems. Whenever I come there with tooth pains & dental concerns I always go out having my pain resolved… always! And I have a very complicated medical history and they always, always take note of those whenever they’re resolving my dental concerns. I call them my Angels here on earth! Helping me get by despite my medical conditions. I really recommend West 10th Dental Group with all of your dental problems. And ask for Dr Rochman & Melissa!!! They are good, real good!!! I have problems with my front teeth for 36years, I couldn’t eat properly, I couldn’t smile & Dr Rochman & Melissa help me regain my confidence back & I can smile now & most importantly I can eat properly now… it’s truly a life changing Christmas gift that they’ve given me on December 2024.

Not a very good experience Update: I would like to add 7/6/2024 I was referred to the oral surgeon and I must say the oral surgeon has turned my experience around. The assistant was phenomenal and the surgeon was just as phenomenal. I will give this office another chance . Hopefully the office up stairs will continue a good experience following the oral surgeon. Dr Benson is a game changer. Fantastic experience: The dental hygienists are always thorough, professional, and kind. The dentist also treats patients with respect. My treatments and procedures were explained to me thoroughly and all of my questions were answered.

Negative experience: They used to be good but it went down hill recently. They also have some shady practices of charging in advanced for services that haven't been provided. I don't recommend this location.

Negative experience: I got referred to them and sent them my insurance information and everything. Waited for a week to go and I was sitting in the chair to have procedure done just for them to tell me I had to be 19 years or younger because of my insurance so they didn't do it. Was a waist of time. Waist of gas as I'm from Southside. They had over a week and had me send my insurance via text message to check if they accepted it. Horrible.

The staff was able to get me in the slot to have it taken care of. Been going to West 10th Dental since they opened. Probably will still be going when I'm old and Grey and my teeth are falling out. Fantastic experience: large dental practice. I went in to see about a root canal. I thought it would be done today. But its more complicated than anticipated. So I go back in 2 months. Before I moved further west I used this office for all of my dental needs. I have always been happy here.

Negative experience: So far unhappy. I called to schedule an appointment for my daughter, they made an error and scheduled her with the adult side instead of the pediatric side so I had to reschedule and change my time off work and her time off school. I received a call to confirm, I was told we were all set for the next day, and then 3 hours later they called me to reschedule AGAIN because they made another error and double booked the appointment time. 2x I have to change the appointment due to their errors.

Positive experience: Everyone was great, except when I first walked in no one greeted or acknowledged me while I was waiting to check in. I was ignored and blatantly made to stand there as if I was not seen or a regular patient. I didn’t like being ignored knowing that I was spending money on this visit and it was early in the morning and I’m not a morning person so that pissed me off. I kindly ask someone if I could check in and she helped me. It put me an ease slightly but still annoyed a bit. Everything else from that point was great but first impressions… Other than that I was pleased with how fast everything went and my child needed a crown and other things. I definitely recommend

Positive experience: I'd be careful when it comes to the prices and insurance. I was quoted 900 then had them check again and it went to 65 dollars. Kinda crazy. I'd like to say I have pretty bad anxiety and they were great with that! I had wisdom teeth removal March 27th 2025 and was so scared but they held my hand (literally) reassured me and played music for me. The doctor Eddie Kotary who did the removal was amazing! Professional and very quick! I barely felt anything didn't feel beaten up couldn't have gone better. I'd definitely go to that team again!
