Afdent Patient Family Dentistry - Mishawaka

Negative experience: Went and and waited for the dentist for about a few hours. Told them what I wanted to do the dentist came in for 5 seconds and then the assistant handed me a 3000.00 estimate I said no they said have a nice day. Big waste of my day and I am still in pain. You should have people that can explain what is going on when clearly the assistant does not know how to sell or find a solution. Just show you the door and you are out 300.00 oh well big business will always let you down. Sad

Fantastic experience: Honestly the best service I have ever had as far as experiencing dental issues in my 50 yrs walked in and was treated immediately with kindness and compassion from the reception to recovery thank you very much

Negative experience: Forget the "free new patient consultation". I just called to make an appointment and was told there are no FREE consultations, it's no cost at the time of visit but you or your insurance company WILL BE BILLED if you do not move forward with their treatment plan. Soooo... hmmm....

Negative experience: They said walk in emergency services. Well, it seems you should make an appointment. Been here 3 hours and they can't tell me when I will be seen. It seems like they would have separated the walk in patients from scheduled ones. I definitely won't be coming back here for anything else. To make people sit endlessly in pain is cruel.

Negative experience: Have been a patient for over 10 years. Complained of tooth pain was told i needed a crown. Had the crown performed and immediately afterwards needed a root canal. I understand these things can happen. Dentist told me is good news majority of work is already done. Quoted me full price for root canal even though most of work already done. When i asked for a discount simply told me no. This place is a factory and really do not care about the patient relationship.

Fantastic experience: Afdent was phenomenal they put me at ease with my tooth extraction, I even had to go back same day cuz excruciating pain and they made me feel so good. They treated me with kindness and made me feel at ease. Dr Bowman was so sweet and nice and the nurse (can't remember her name) was so nice and made me feel at ease.

Fantastic experience: I had a bad tooth causing a lot of pain and the staff was great at handling my issue and getting my tooth pulled. My insurance covered the whole visit. They are very professional and caring. I’m glad I used Afdent!

Fantastic experience: Today was my first appointment… and since I’m 86 and have too much time on my hands I am going to give you a complete assessment. I do not like dentists since 1944 when I had a bad experience. I was VERY favorably impressed today…. Everything was super clean, including ALL of the uniforms of the employees here. Everyone was friendly and actually seemed COMPLETELY interested in an excellent outcome for me. Now I look extremely old, etc and they were all extremely courteous to me! I felt even rather good because of the general atmosphere in the waiting room! Ok, I am scared because I will have to have teeth removed. I had a very pretty girl named Lauren, who definitely has a extremely high IQ because she was as close to perfect as an employee could be…. I would have HIRED her in a minute back when we had our business. After Lauren I was introduced to Dr J , who was working with Lauren to make certain that all of the impressions were exactly on target…. And Dr J was excellent also. I haven’t met Dr Pecina yet, but EVERYONE who I have spoken to only speak soooo well of him! I am actually SO IMPRESSED with everything that I was “looking” at today that I feel I have FINALLY found an excellent place to HELP ME …. I go for my next appointment on March 24, 2025 and I will definitely let you know what happens with my try-in’s ….. I’m extremely impressed with the advanced technology that they have in place! Fantastic experience: I had a wisdom tooth removed. The staff here were very personable and put me at ease. Bria was so sweet and helpful at check in. Dr. Ferguson and Avi went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable during the whole process. Thanks for all the wonderful care!

Negative experience: My appointment for a CLEANING February 25th needed to be rescheduled. I was expecting a 7 week turn around time to reschedule. They can't reschedule until July 16th. Absolutely ridiculous. Edited: For what it's worth shortly after this review they called me back and were able to fit me next day. Unsure if they are related or not. Leaving this review up so people can see the current scheduling wait time for cleanings. I do really like Afdent otherwise.

Fantastic experience: My daughter lost her top retainer and the bottom permanent one had came out of the cement on one side. Afdent was able to get us in the same day, fixed her bottom permanent, & molded a new retainer - & we got to take the retainer the same day! Everyone was super friendly, understanding, & informative. Definitely will return!

Fantastic experience: Very pleased from the minute I walked into Afdent to the time I left. The ladies at the reception desk to the girls and dentist in back greeted me like a guest in their own home. My tooth came loose in my denture and they repaired within a couple of hours. Everyone there are so friendly. Very respectful and courteous with everyone that walks in the door.

Fantastic experience: Scheduling an appt was quick and easy. Rachel was the dental tech, she was very nice and let me pick out the music for the background during my procedure. Dr. Taliferra was very professional and the procedure was virtually painless. I was impressed.

Negative experience: Went there Dr pecina said he would work with me personally all he did was come in the room for a few minutes every time my teeth the first said they may look like they belong to a baby the second set was supposed to be a wax trying and he just held some teeth up to my mouth that were as big as a horse then he sends me home after he's done shaved my Jawbone now knowing that it won't fit into my old plate so now I have nothing to eat with I don't have teeth or nothing I wouldn't recommend a dog to go there I hope that nobody ever comes back to that business I hope that you guys go out of business u won't even return calls someone needs to call the Better Business Bureau you guys didn't try to do anything besides take my money that's sad too because people in this world right now are struggling and you guys want to make it harder on people What a Sad place you would think that you would want to fix somebody's mouth and not leave them in pain then you send certified letters to tell me that I can't come there after 30 days you guys are funny as hell what you guys don't call me back to fix the problem in my mouth what kind of Dentistry is that so you just send people home with no teeth you guys couldn't provide a plate for me that fit my mouth don't turn it around on me cuz I'll pay for whatever but I'm not paying for somebody to do some shit ass work

Fantastic experience: Very friendly, helpful and professional staff were wonderful from the time I walked through the door until I was on my way.. I was truly surprised at how comfortable I was while going through the process of having my tooth pulled. State of the art facilities. I will recommend Afdent to my friends and family.

Fantastic experience: The people at AFDENT DENTAL in Mishawaka, Indiana are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G , to say the very least !!! Not only did they take care of my issues they did it quickly! Beginning in 1988, I started going there and sent several friends or family members there.

Fantastic experience: This is my second visit and I returned due the wonderful care a few years ago. So many great, helpful and kind workers. Dental assistant very thorough and knowledgeable. Kind and considerate and always making sure I was comfortable. Explained all xrays and treatment recommendations and pricing options after insurance coverage reviewed. Dr. Pecina so gentle, thorough and knowledgeable. Gave me options and even discussed what needed to be done emergent and what could be done at a later date. Did not continue to bring me back for work that could be done the same day. Wonderful experience and services. Thank you!

Negative experience: Not really sure which star rating to leave. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The issue was the heavy sales. I went in with a problem with a specific tooth. A "free" full evaluation was basically insisted upon. I was presented with over $9000 in suggested work and none of it dealt with the tooth I went in for.

Fantastic experience: I love the way the Staff at Afdent make me feel! There is Never any shame or embarrassment. Everyone is so helpful and friendly and the dentist do Outstanding work

Negative experience: Dentures don't fit worse experience I have ever had they riped my teeth out almost no pain killer put dentures in same day over. I'm paying over $12,000.00 can't see my account and don't know how to.

Negative experience: They treat the walk-ins like they are a problem. After waiting 4 hrs to be seen, the dentist came in , no compassion, no empathy, and after 1 minute says I need to pay 5,000 and remove all my teeth. I went in for a cracked crown. I had to ask for different options. Afdent makes you feel like more of a number than an actual patient.

Positive experience: The staff and emergency dental care was excellent. Very comfortable yet professional setting. I wish it hadn't taken almost 2 hrs to be seen, because I was in a lot of pain. However, I have encountered MUCH longer wait times and received poor quality of care, unclean environment, unclear post care instructions, rude uncaring staff, and a MUCH higher bill from other so called Emergency Care Clinics closer to home. I would recommend them anytime!

Fantastic experience: Brenda was great to work with. She was concerned with what I wanted. She was not in a hurry and took time to explain things that I wasn't aware of because all this is new to me. She made my smile of what I had. Told me how to chew, how to clean them, ECT. Brenda gave me hope that the new liner she made for me will only get better. The last 6 Months were awful. Fantastic experience: Great experience ! The Dental hygienist was very thorough, informative and had a great attitude and I felt comfortable and in good hands. The Dentist that came in for the examination noticed some concerns that I scheduled to get done. Throughout the entire procedure I was being cared for by professionals that know what they're doing in a very friendly environment. I like this place.

Fantastic experience: I had been to two different private practice dentists. I, on both occasions ended up with bad infections and large swollen face BOTH times (1st Dr broke my tooth & refunded all my $, 2nd Dr. I still have lost feeling after 1 1/2 years). I went to Afdent with tooth pain. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I had my appointment the day of my son’s wedding! They took quick & thorough care of my tooth pain! There was no sending me to a different dentist for part of the procedure that would have taken more time! My appointment was 9am they had me out and all immediate care complete so I could focus on my son’s wedding. I have had no after care swelling and would recommend Afdent in a heartbeat!!

Fantastic experience: The women that helped my son before doc came in was absolutely amazing... She was so kind and very respectful and had my son feel so comfortable about the issue with his tooth and being removed today.. son had a root canal a year ago and not the best experience but 2nd was by far the best. 1 front desk women was very unprofessional. But once we got to the back all the staff where absolutely professional and know how to make kids feel so comfortable and safe. I think the one front desk women needs a talking to. Don't laugh about clients that walk in and gossip about them while there are people waiting in the waiting room. This clearly isn't the job for you.

Fantastic experience: My entire life I have had awful experiences with dentists. This was my first positive experience with a dentist! I was welcomed firstly over the phone when calling to inquire. They kept me informed of all an exam would consist of and were transparent on all costs. (I have no insurance so cost matter a lot) I was welcomed right inside the door with kindness and all the step by step help I could ever need to fill out all the paperwork. Front Desk staff is an absolute dream to work with, they are the kindest most understanding and I appreciate that so much! Now the dentist and dental staff behind the closed doors are my life savers. I had been in pain for well over a week. My friend swore that they were the best and not to go anywhere else! My anxiety from past visits was through the roof and the sweetest DA was right there the whole time to walk me through everything, calm me down and helped me get all the medicine I needed for a extraction (noting she and the dentist even knew some redheads need a tad more anesthesia to be completely numb and i appreciate their knowledge and making sure I was numb and comfortable ❤️) The dentist herself is a jewel! I mean absolutely the sweetest person who truly cares about you, your dental health/hygiene and the quality of care she provides! It was pain free aside from the little pinches from the numbing shots. I was prescribed antibiotics to go home with, had a awful allergic reaction, and they got me in the moment I called back to tell them what was happening. They helped me to get the right medicine and throughly examined me to make sure I was on the right track to recover. They also offer payment plans which is amazing considering dental work can be pricey and life can really kick you when your down. The beautiful soul at the “check out”/reschedule desk got me set up for my next post Op appointment and explained everything so well to me! I will be taking my family here from now on and I highly recommend Afdent to anyone seeking dental care. Also I don’t have the greatest teeth many are not in great shape and I love the compassionate manner and non judgmental nature of the entire staff. I’m also a tobacco user, switched to vape, I haven’t smoked since my extraction and when going back in after my allergic reaction they completely understood that I was emotional and feeling overwhelmed from not vaping. I hope whoever reads this, as I read others reviews before going to be seen, knows that they will fix you up and have you on track to a pain free life and better dental health and hygiene

Fantastic experience: I made an appointment the day before and got a next day appointment. When I walked in someone helped me sign in and I sat down. Less than 2 minutes later I was called to the back. I needed a tooth removed and the nurse numbed me really well with topical cream and it was the least painful experience I have ever had. The whole process took less than 1 hour from start to finish. I am so thankful that I was able to get in quickly and I paid just under my own budget for the procedure.

Fantastic experience: My mom (Sue), 85 had to have 2 teeth removed today. The entire process was smooth & quite easy. We had never been to Afdent Dental - our experience from scheduling & customer experience (Maddie/Andrea)was excellent and the patient care by the dentists (Dr Pecina/Dr Ferguson) & dental assistant (Ileana) was exceptional. Fantastic experience: Patient friendly is exactly what they are. I had an emergency. I broke my front tooth out of my upper denture. Leaving town on a family emergency. I needed this fixed immediately. There is no where to go for emergency. I got it done immediately. The staff listened to everything I said and cared about taking care of me. Thank you Afdent!!

Fantastic experience: Well I put off going to the dentist . I was just getting cleanings, pulled no talking into saving or future , and a bill All I wanted was to save what teeth I could and fix my smile . Well comes a time when I had no choice school daughter told me about this place she swears by it . Well I took her advice got an appt next day someone cancelled . Ok GOD is that you? Kept the appt they went to work . The wait in the waiting room Not long at all . Put my concerns at ease . Can’t save top for long term reality plate on top partial on bottom . Fantastic experience: I want to start by saying I am sooo grateful for the people at Afdent. From the moment I walked into the emergency room office I was greeted with a smile and someone to help guide me along the way to ease my nerves and anxiety about what I thought was going to be the worst day! When I was called back I was greeted by Avi she was amazing and really helped me feel at ease just answering questions that I was playing over and over in my head.. When I explained I never really was one to go to the dentist so my fear of not knowing and or having a good idea about it was just that. I was SCARED it was my wisdom teeth the pain was unbearable. Avi made me as comfortable as possible gave me some nitrogen gas to calm my nerves and I was feeling so good! They numbed me and it was a total piece of cake thank you to Avi, Dr. Pletcher, Dr Parker Pecina, and (anyone else that might have came in while I was having happy that I may not remember!) lol seriously though BEST TEAM EVER VERY MUCH RECOMMEND!

Fantastic experience: This place is a God send. I have neglected my oral health because dentistry is just too freaking expensive. A coworker told me about Afdent and for the first time since high school I could get my teeth taken care of. Lauren took my scans and was very helpful with financial planning and explaining scan results! Pete was the finance guy and he was wonderful with devising a plan that doesn’t break my budget! The dental hygienist was thorough with my cleaning and the dentist was equally as knowledgeable and thorough. The whole team overall were friendly, judgment free, patient, and eager to help! This is not your average dentist, they care less about your wallet and more about your health!!

Fantastic experience: Well was very nervous i was greeted by a very friendly outgoing redhead so right there made me feel good then the staff where they observed me n the final outcome was amazing the dentist and the 3 girls that assisted im not good on names except for one that works for u is my granddaughter thank you for the amazing stress free no pain experience im totally blessed

Negative experience: Terrible dentist, they only get good reviews because they do conscientious sedation, but they purposely do bad work so you end up coming back and having more outrageous costs or having to have your teeth pulled. They will make your children feel shameful if they have dental issues due to poverty. They don’t serve our community they take advantage of the most vulnerable by charging them unnecessarily large sums for basic dental work.

Fantastic experience: I have received dental services from Afdent for many issues…from simple cleaning, fillings, crowns and bridgework. Entire office has been wonderful. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: It was a great experience. I explained my problem over the phone, came in, signed in, they took me back, explained my options and what they would recommend. It was a seem less process and everyone was helpful and nice. After I was given my option the dentist went straight to work and I was taken care of from start to finish.

Fantastic experience: I've never felt more comfortable at the dentist in my life! Staff were very respectful, and Dentists were very transparent on the procedure/payment plan for the wisdom tooth extraction! Procedure and Surgery were both very successful, and they made sure I was comfortable with music and EVEN A BLANKET! Didn't feel much pain after the 1st and 2nd day (currently on day 7) and the stitches came out on their own on day 4! I'd recommend Afdent to anyone who has issues with their teeth, no matter the case! They'll take care of you and make your nerves essentially dissappear. Would rate 6 stars if I could!

Fantastic experience: Had to take my 13 year old daughter in for an extraction. The staff were extremely friendly the moment we got there. They took their time with her and made sure she was kept comfortable the whole time. She had a terrible experience with her last dentist so she was unsure of how this visit would go.

Fantastic experience: I went to all 3 buildings in two days. Everyone was amazing, comforting, and listen to everything I had to say! Not once did they by pass anything I said. I loved them and I plan on going and also scheduling apps for my kids there!

Fantastic experience: I was greeted at the door, but the greeters, very friendly, very helpful. And then the girl came and took me in the back, and she explained everything to me. Called in another person, and then the dentist and everyone was very polite and explained everything. I am so glad I found this place.

Fantastic experience: Today I was greeted in the lobby by Andrea. She was kind, polite, and updated my insurance. She double checked to make sure it was entered correctly. Then I had the best prophy I’ve had since Kelsey and Heather. I’m so sorry I don’t remember her name I feel terrible. Please forgive me. But this young lady needs recognition for a wonderful job at cleaning my teeth but also explaining my treatment plan. She made me feel at ease. Dr Ferguson was also kind and compassionate about my treatment plan. I’m embarrassed I have put my oral health on the back burner. So thank you. The beautiful lady at checkout and scheduling was amazing also!! Top Notch visit. My December cleaning was not a pleasant one. So thank you. Fantastic experience: Just walking through the door I was greeted with a hello and was asked what I needed done,I did not have an appointment but that was no problem.They got me in took x-rays and confirmed that the tooth had to be removed.Everybody was very polite and I was in and out in no time. Fantastic experience: 1.Greeters were welcoming and helpful 2. The technician was very pleasant , explained, and answered every question . 3. The Doctor took about 15-20 seconds to pull my molar. She was very calming and TOTALLY COMMUNICATED every move she made. Great relaxing experience for have a tooth pulled- in and out with no fuss or dramas

Positive experience: I would give 5 but my last experience was not the people that helped me but whoever did the work on my mouth. I went for 4 fillings and gum damage isn't typically an issue. This person had to of been really rough with my mouth, I was sedated so I was unaware during and up until the day after. My entire gum line on both sides of my teeth have cuts around each tooth and swelling. This is typically caused by being rough with the tool used to wrap around the tooth, usually metal or wooden tacks. It isn't just cuts around my teeth but there is even bruising on my gums. I can't even brush my teeth on that side of my mouth! They hurt like crazy and never in my life have I had someone tear my mouth up the way this person did. I've been there 4 other times. One was a root canal and that didn't even give me damage and another was for more fillings, still no damage. I have an appointment to get them looked at but I better not ever get the person that messed my mouth up again! They need to be held accountable for what they did to my mouth. The photos I took are slightly graphic or I would share them.

Fantastic experience: My 1st dental visit after years of neglect. Although the results of my exam were pretty bad; it was my fault and I left feeling like I was in good hands and my confidence in the future was improved.

Fantastic experience: These are 15 year old set, now ready for the next. I went to a competitor and they were extremely more expensive and I would have to get a loan plus insurance to get a new set! That's a lot of money so I'm back to Afdent to get a new set that will service me for the rest of my life! Thank you Afdent!!

Fantastic experience: Today, August 26th I used the emergency services at Afdent in Mishawaka. From walking in the door and being greeted, to my check in was done for me, with answering questions. My wait time was about 15 minutes. My technician, Renee did x-rays. Dr Pletcher was in, examined and was given options and pricing. I made my choice, soon it was underway. Given instructions on what and how to care for my procedure, I was on my way home. Dr Pletcher and Renee were very nice, explained everything very caring. Going to the dentist isn't always a pleasant experience, but Afdent takes total pride in caring for you. I thank all of you for your expertise and patient care. Jill Shaer

Fantastic experience: Afdent Dental has been my dentist for almost 20 years. It truly enjoy being a patient there…the staff and technicians are truly outstanding in every manner…I no longer live close to Afdent so I schedule appts when I visit my daughter in Indiana. Well worth it!!

I have been trying for so long to get the chips in my front teeth taken care of, I just stopped asking. They offered to do it without me having to ask, and trust I've been smiling happily ever since!!! Fantastic experience: Not a regular patient, went in for an emergency visit. First noticed a difference in the place waiting in the lobby. I watched one of the receptionists get up to open the door for over half a dozen elderly patients. They also helped them thru the sign in process on the iPad. Very impressed. I waited about 10min after my appointment time before being called back. Not bad at all in my opinion. The doctor and staff I talked to were friendly, informative and straight to the point. They opted to only xray the area around the tooth in question because they knew my insurance would not cover it. BIG PLUS. Seems like they were actually looking out for my best interest rather than racking up the bill like many other places. They laid out my options and the pros and cons of each with good detail. Let me take my time to make a decision and did not push anything on me. They worked with me on appointment times that would fit best for me and got me in quickly. Very impressed.

Fantastic experience: I did not have an appointment, but walked in Afdent in Mishawaka on a Friday early afternoon with a throbbing tooth and received treatment within a few hours. The staff at check in was great, friendly and very helpful!! I would like to thank the two assisting the doctor in my procedure, names I believe were Avi and Jennifer, both were excellent. Avi was directly assistanting the doctor during the procedure and afterwards she wrapped things up with me. She was very friendly, answered questions and just overall seemed very caring and informative. Very happy with the service I received! Thank You Afdent!!! -Walking in on a Friday with tooth pain and getting treatment same day is truly impressive!!!

Positive experience: The experience was great, everyone was very lovely! My only issue is that when I called to get the price for the X-rays and exam out of pocket, I was told “we like to tell people to bring 191 which covers X-rays, exams, and start of care. I was happy with that. Once my appointment was over I was told $250. It’s not much of a change but it’s the fact that I asked for a reason!! I wanted to know before hand how much it was. When I asked why it was $250 when I was told $191, they told me that they tell people to bring $191 cause that’s the minimum to get financed. Respectfully that was not what I asked when I called. I was very upset

Positive experience: Afdent is currently doing what they can to fix the issue . I went in for a check up today and had a complete 100% satisfactory visit . I want to say all the staff was extremely nice I had no issues there … I went in for quite a bit of work, they found an extra cavity they did for free I was happy about that … here’s what the problem was /is . I had a bad reaction to the numbing shots in my mouth and the nurses were uncertain how to initially react but then reassured me it was normal and they must have got to close to my bloodstream. The lady that actually filled the cavities did a horrible job . Not only did it take a total of 3 hours for my appointment 2 hours was just her trying to fill my cavities. She couldnt get the first filling to stick and ended up dropping filling material on my tonsils ; said nothing ; tried to remove it ; and I gagged and swallowed it and could feel some stuck in the corner of my tonsil until the very end of my appointment.. 2 hours In the bottom tooth she couldn’t get right . She did it twice before calling someone in to look … the dr confirmed it needed redone … she attempts to re-do it and still isn’t happy gets 2 other ppls opinions they say they see tissue in the filling part.., she then tries to squish it down pushing her body weight onto my jaw/tooth to try and place the cap better on my tooth …. After an hour of work she’s finally done ; she had to call another dr in to help saw down my tooth because she put so much filling material in/on it.. she seemed very uncertain of her work and had little confidence I would be satisfied and said I could come ba k to get it redone.. It Took 9 days for me to be able to fully open my mouth… I’m in pain as we speak because my gum is getting stabbed by her work every time I bite down … and now I have to go back for them to look at it and I’m going to have to get it redone again .. I am literally traumatized from my appointment and nervous to get it redone because of all the pain … I went in with no pain … and now my tooth is messed up because of the work the cavity filler did… I’m so disappointed

Negative experience: Extremely unhappy! Get to my appointment to find you no longer in network. No idea what cost would be. I had been to you in February & it was fine. I was told it was afdent that changed not my company. You have lost a long time patient & waiting to tell me when I was in procedure room was unprofessional. You can send text & emails about everything but this.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely LOVEEEE this dental firm. From day 1 they have made me feel extremely comfortable and welcome. The dental assistants are very nice and more importantly relatable. They listen to your concerns and take the time to explain exactly what is happening to your mouth. I have my cleanings and orthodontics done through them and while they are a little pricey, i would say that its absolutely worth it!!!!

Fantastic experience: I am currently traveling and was having trouble with one of my teeth. I had tried getting into a dentist in four of the states I was visiting just to have someone look at it and let me know what was going on. Most places I called wouldn’t even see me because I didn’t live in their city or they were booked months out. I was given Afdent number by one of the dentist I did call. Even though I did not have an appointment they told me to come right in. I only had to wait 30 minutes before I was seen. The staff was so courteous making me feel comfortable the whole time. Explained everything they were doing before they did it. The office was very clean and they used the latest technology in their equipment. If I lived in the area I would definitely go back for all my dental work.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency called my denist to get in because the pain was unbearable, the said couldn't ge me in til September. Called these wonderful people at avdent got me in the next day thru walk in. Very compassionate caring and affordable.

Fantastic experience: I had pulled out a loose tooth and apparently didn’t get it all out. My face was swollen and I was in pain!!!! Dr Makowi and Julie were awesome. They took very good care of me and made me feel welcomed and Heard. I hadn’t been to a dentist in a while, due to a bad experience. They’ve made a believer again that there are good Dentist and nurses in my area. I WOULD RECOMMEND AFDENT TO ANYONE!!!!! Great Job!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Ok so I'm absolutely petrified of the dentist, well I had an emergency the day after Thanksgiving and went here. Had used them once in the past. Well I had the best visit possibly ever. From the front desk til I walked out the door. Especially my nurse. She was the best! Patient,caring, considerate and just over all a good vibe. Thanks Affdent. You'll get business!!

Fantastic experience: I went in to the Dental Emergency Department after being in pain for almost 24 hours with a horrible toothache — not realizing they stop taking walk in dental emergencies at 2 PM on Fridays… but they assured me that they would see me but they weren’t sure we could solve the problem that day but they would try to at least get me out of pain. So after waiting a very short time they got me back and I had a very friendly hygienist— we did the X-rays and they quickly found the problem and said they would absolutely extract the tooth— I have vertigo which makes laying back in the dental chair horrid— but I only briefly mentioned it to the hygienist and she immediately told everyone that came in— which I was so thankful for then Dr Watson comes in and tells me he can take the tooth out without even laying me back at all— he would stand — he was patient and talked me through step by step as he knew I was very anxious about all of it— I could not be happier with my experience today. Dr Watson thank you for going above and beyond and making sure I was comfortable every minute. From the moment I stepped in the door everyone that I came into contact with was friendly and so helpful.

Negative experience: the care i receive was fine but at no point was i informed that i was out of network with my insurance. i found out after i asked for a third time what the price was going to be after making a follow up appointment to my emergency appointment. i find that very deceptive to take advantage of not telling new patients that they’re out of network. it’s a huge amount of money that i know owe and things like that should be explained to people before care is given.

Fantastic experience: As a walk-in, yes you will have hours long wait. But the staff is very friendly and very awesome. Also very easy to work with as far as payments if you don't have dental insurance. I would recommend them any day. I had to have a broken wisdom tooth pulled out and they made the experience as painless as possible. Good job Afdent.

Fantastic experience: A very caring and professional team of people removed my tooth. I would highly recommend this business. The young lady who took care of me I didn't get her name but she was very caring talk to me about everything that was going on. The dentist that removed the tooth took X-rays before and after to make sure it was all out. Because the tooth had broke.

Fantastic experience: Went in for consultation on straightening lower teeth. It went very well. People at Afdent were very polite, knowledgeable and were able to give me a detailed summary of their process including cost estimate. I was very pleased and plan to go forward with the procedure.

Negative experience: Well once again I had an appointment at Af Dent for a consultation and once again I walked out. I arrived for my appointment 10 minutes early and had to get thru the 100 question check in process. Then at my appointment time I waited and waited. 15 minutes later I went up to the reception desk to ask when I would be called in. The female with the long brown hair said they were running late( as usual in my experience, always running late) and that they would get to me as soon as they could. Apparently my time doesn't mean anything to them. That was one of the reasons I didn't use them for 4 years ago and the reason why I won't use them anymore. I had other things to do and couldn't wait any longer so I walked out.

Fantastic experience: The Afdent staff was very helpful and friendly! I have only had nightmare experiences with dentist and orthodontists. They ran through each step of what I would need for a beautiful smile again. I had a list with many questions and they took their time answering each one fully! I was never rushed. Great experience!

Negative experience: First, had to call & schedule my emergencey visit 2 days proir. Then it was first come first served...why schedule then? They were good, polite, and gave quality work, no complaints....however, you will pay 5times more for a filling( mine was 640.00). Yep, other dentist do quality work too, for much less. I paid more for walk-in service, saddly which should not be. So, judge your needs accordingly. They will happily help you get into debt, but you will have a smile. So, is it worth it? Good question.

Positive experience: A little disappointed. Was supposed to get my permanent bridge. Didn't fit right so they had to make another temp. 4 hours in the dentist chair is too long. And I will probably have to call tomorrow because the temp has a really sharp edge and has cut my tongue up on the side. Not their fault, they didn't know and I couldn't tell until my tongue wasn't numb anymore. Everybody was really nice, just unfortunately it was a miserable day.

Negative experience: I wanted a certain person to work on my teeth not someone with only 10 months of experience. I delt with it and went on with the cleaning. The gal was really nice and nervous she poked my gums about 4 times. I was calm cause I understood. My anger came with her coworker came in and asked how much longer. I knew this may have upset the lady cleaning my teeth. the other lady wanted a Spanish translator right now. The lady cleaning my teeth said give me a couple of minutes she was almost done. her coworker came back in demanding to know how much longer cause the GIS or whatever she said had to be rescheduled cause of ..... it's when I got angry took the laughing gas nose off me and said I'm done and looked at my cleaner lady and said sounds like your coworker needs you to go translate some Spanish. I wasn't angry at the lady cleaning my teeth, but her coworker that sounded like a person in a Mangement role demanding stuff in front of a patient. I can tell you what the guy needs to reschedule for! This is unacceptable behavior from anyone dealing with patients that it's what a hallway is for if two people to have a talk. I would have understood that a lot better unlike what happen. I have compassion for newer people because they are scared of maybe being fired, wrote up ext. what happens to the coworker that done this in my visit probably nothing. I wanted my normal person that had 5 years' experience for a reason. I guess I will be shopping around for a new dentist office!

Fantastic experience: My first time visiting for care. I had terrible pain in my jaw, throat, ear, roof of mouth, and headache. There was no direct pain associated to one particular tooth. Upon arrival, the friendly staff helped me get registered and find a comfortable place to wait. I was taken back as soon as possible and treatment began. After finding that I had a broken tooth that was not able to be saved, an extraction was performed. The staff was friendly and professional. They were very concerned about the pain that I was in and my comfort. I did not have dental insurance. Payment arrangements were made with CareCredit. Thank you for helping me in my desperate time of need.

Fantastic experience: Got me in asap, fixed a chipped tooth only took a few hours! The entire building is very clean and organized, the paperwork wasn’t overwhelming and they were very kind to answer any and all question I had. Would love to come back! (Bailey was especially nice)
