Negative experience: Where does all these good reviews come from? I have no clue. First appt was made I waited 3 months to see them, I get to the appt and they tell me that the doctor is OUT and they won’t be seeing new patients until the next day. No problem emergencies happen. 3 months later I show up to an appt( my follow up) This time they cancelled my appt because I didn’t confirm it! The office manager proceeded with I called you (she looked through my phone no missed calls from the office) the inconvenience this has caused me it’s outrageous. 2nd time they have cancelled on me after waits months is unacceptable!!!! I will be finding a new and more professional dentist

Fantastic experience: I’ve been using this practice for years because they’d always been kind. Today, Tai & Dr. Marino took excellent care of me. I’m looking forward to my next appointment with Dr. Posi. I recommend this office to anyone in need of dental care.

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would!! Same day canceling, and basically told me to figure it out. My appointment was at 12 and they canceled at 9am. When I called to get another appointment they were rude.

Negative experience: We don’t have the best experience. They kept changing the appointment last minute then we finally came and the fact that the staff has no patience for special needs children is sad . My child was fighting he just kept saying he was scared he was calm and expressed himself . The doctor was patient but the nurse wasn’t after 5 mins she was ready to tell us to go to a pediatrician based dentist . It’s sad because my son loves everyone he just expressed being scared based off the nurse assistant ls energy to be real honey my husband even felt it when he came back .He said the nurse didn’t seems so welcoming and she wasn’t . We won’t ever come back her.

Negative experience: This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at any sort of dental care facility. Let me start off by saying when we scheduled the appointment I let the scheduler know we already had a dentist that we were only needing to see the surgeon as my insurance said they had one. She asked I send my referral over so I did, this was last week. Come today, we are seen. We walk in, no one is at the counter. A man finally walks up and checks us in and hands us paperwork we had already filled out when they sent it electronically. The place doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned or painted in years. The dentist was fine but let us know that we would need to be referred out as they don’t have a surgeon. I then ask why the scheduler even scheduled the appt and he did not have an answer. I wouldn’t even let my toddler down because the floors were so disgusting.

Fantastic experience: I Found that the whole Staff was Very Friendly and acomidating! Doctor Moreno is Awesome , and Rachel, made sure that all finances were worked out Teeth in about 3 weeks! I’m excited!!

Fantastic experience: Phenomenal denture adjustment to old denture. Dr. McCalla and Marzena did an awesome job. I can eat and talk better than I have been able to in 3 years. Love these people!

Negative experience: I used to grind my teeth when I was younger but I definitely don’t anymore, even in my sleep because I often wake up with my mouth open. I was told my crown was continually failing because I was grinding or clinching my teeth. I will try another dentist and see what happens.

Negative experience: Their warranty on dental work is as botched as their dental work. They said we must charge you again although our Dentist did a botched job...they no longer work with us...So we must charge you. Garbage work...dentist come & go very quickly through here. A denistry mill here. Their customer service, there is none.

Negative experience: Stay away from this place they tell you one thing about billing tthey lie to keep you coming back . Came for dentures got temporary ones then they tell me I have to pay out of pocket for real dentures. Stay away if you're smart.

Fantastic experience: The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They had me come in at short notice and took care of me. The was a discrepancy in the price. They explained to me why it had changed but afterwards decided to give me the price that was first quoted.

Negative experience: Horrible place, find somewhere else. I checked in and they forgot about me so I waited hour and 30 minutes for nothing, just for them to say they can’t see me. What a joke of a business.

Positive experience: This was my initial visit to Hiram Center for Family Dentistry. I was very impressed from my initial phone call to set up an appointment to the receptionists at the front desk helping me with my insurance coverages. Being the observing person that I am, especially in an unfamiliar surroundings, the staff seemed very friendly and polite. The Dental Hygienist and Dr. made sure they explained and that I understood every option to correct my teeth and gums. I will very much refer this Dentistry to others.

Negative experience: People safe your time, your energy and your money from this office. First it took over six months to schedule me for cleaning, when I got there, they didn’t even do any cleaning, they did the X-ray and they even double charged me on my credit card, every time I called them, left a lot of messages for them to return my call about the double charge, they never did. So they rescheduled me and waited for three months again, so two days before my appointment, I received a voicemail saying that the doctor was not going to be there at the office…

Fantastic experience: Greeted me and called me by name as soon as I came in. My paperwork was ready to go for me to sign. Helped me with questions without rushing me out.

Positive experience: Today, March 27, 2025, I had #7 tooth extracted by Dr. Moreno who was very friendly , professional and knowledgeable. This was the BEST extraction I have ever had and I have had several!!! My tech Samia was very patient and helpful. Today’s visit was one of my all time best experiences with this office!

She struck the perfect balance—gentle but firm, which made me feel well cared for and comfortable throughout the appointment. Negative experience: Scheduled an appointment 6 months ago. Confirmed I will be there the week of the appointment and received confirmation the day of the appointment at 3pm. Arrived at my scheduled time and the appointment was canceled because there is no doctor. No phone call. According to the explanation provided there has been limited doctor availability for a while. So inconsiderate. Oh I received a free electric toothbrush for the inconvenience. Thanks

Fantastic experience: We were so pleased with the friendly service throughout the check-in, billing, and procedure! The assistant and dentist were so patient and comforting while delivering top-notch expertise and care! My only concern was this is the second time that I received a call stating that our 4:30 appt time was changed to an earlier time. Please remove that time slot from the schedule if it is not available due to staffing concerns. This caused us to scramble on appointment day!

Fantastic experience: Went here for the first time due to severe pain. Not only were they quick and friendly. One of the ladies at the desk walked me to my car as when my appointment was over it was pouring and I did not bring my umbrella inside. This is just above and beyond in my opinion. Can't remember her name but 10 out of 10.

Fantastic experience: My son came here for the first time. He doesn't leave reviews so I decided to do one for him. He enjoyed his visit and felt like he was taken care of. He will keep this place as his dentistry. Thank you!

Negative experience: Went today for my appointment but they don’t have my partial, somebody should at least inform/text me that it’s not ready because i have to take a leave from work and drove 2 hrs for nothing. Need better communication with your patient.

Negative experience: Waited 5 weeks to be seen for tooth pain. I scheduled an appointment for me and my son to be seen March 27th for tooth pain. My appointment was canceled two days before my scheduled appointment without an explanation after I have made arrangements to be off from work and now I'm told it will be the end of April for the next available appointment. Very inconsiderate of this dental practice and I'm glad I got a glimpse of what my experience would have been. No thank you!! I will seek help from a more reputable practice!

Positive experience: Going to the dentist is my least favorite thing to do. Today was not a good experience with my teeth cleaning. Courtney was my hygienist and was pleasant to speak with, but the cleaning procedure was the worst I have ever experienced. She was very rough in her technique and while cleaning , one of my crowns came off.( At the time she didn’t tell me it came off)She asked if it had been loose and I replied no. After the cleaning was complete I realized my crown was off. She didn’t notify me until I asked to speak to her. I was scheduled later that day to have a broken crown replaced. Dr Moreno and his assistant were very helpful, gentle and making sure I was comfortable and understood the procedure. They also attached the other crown the hygienist had removed in her rough technique.

Fantastic experience: The level of care and concern from the staff was exceptional! For the most sensitive part of my x-rays, two staff members teamed up! One positioned the thing in my mouth and one snapped the image.

Fantastic experience: From the front to the back of the business, everyone was on point, so I felt super comfortable and confident

Negative experience: Save yourself …. scammers ! First time visiting the dental assistant saw me , they charged my insurance for dental exam when the dentist never saw me. 2nd visit , they said I wouldn’t be charged for X-rays since the office did not have a CD reader for my X-rays taken within the last 6 months however, they charged my insurance for X-rays! It’s been 2 weeks with no return call . I spoke to Rachel on Feb 21, she said she will get back to me on Monday, it’s Thurs no response. I called the office , they have a 3rd party filtering all the call ; they told me the office Manager Katherine will get back to me . They will scam you ! Go to another dental office! NO ONE answers the # provided below. I left voice mails twice…. No return calls.

Fantastic experience: From the time I walked in the staff was amazing! So friendly and efficient. The facility is very clean and well kept. This was my first time with this office but I will certainly continue to use them as my primary dental office.

Fantastic experience: The staff is just amazing, never had a better experience in a dental office.

Negative experience: They scheduled my appointment for the wrong thing. They refuse to look at what the issue was. And they made me have to reschedule for the right reason and I have to wait until May to be seen. I barely saw the doctor maybe for 2 seconds before he left and went to the next patient and told me that nothing was wrong when I'm experiencing pain and sensitivity in my nerves.

Positive experience: From the first call to attending my appointment, everyone was nice and made me feel welcomed. This was the best dental experience I’ve ever had and they were very thorough with the treatment plan needed moving forward. They didn’t make me feel like everything was about a dollar, and showed me that they actually cared about my health. Looking forward to going back! Edit: second time back and my impression has changed. My dental assistant is hard to read. Sometimes is very genuine and caring and other times seems like she’d rather be anywhere but there. Dr. Moreno is amazing, however the inability to prevent pain is inevitable. It does seem as though he tries but I asked for the STRONGEST anesthetic they had and it seem like he kept giving the bare minimum. This last filling was soo painful it left me in tears to where they had to refer me to a sedative dentist office to finish out my fillings. I would’ve loved to have them as my primary dentist but if you can’t get something as small as a filling right I probably won’t be back. Great drs and front office staff. But please make sure your assisting staff fixes their attitudes. I already had a fear of drs. This has just increased it.

Negative experience: The office staff here is friendly and professional, though they could improve their responsiveness to phone calls. I typically see Dr. Moreno, who is fantastic. However, during my most recent visit, I saw Dr. Posey and was deeply disappointed. When I expressed discomfort and pain during a procedure, Dr. Posey reprimanded me harshly for using a curse word. His insensitive and unprofessional demeanor, especially while I was in a vulnerable state, significantly heightened my anxiety. I would strongly advise against seeing this dentist if you experience any form of dental anxiety. I will not be scheduling with him again.

Fantastic experience: Very thorough, professional. There was an issue with the permanent crown. They stayed the process, taking multiple xrays, grinding the tooth down, etc to ensure a proper fit. While it was grueling, I commend the doctor and assistant for their wonderful care.

Negative experience: This has been progressively a frustrating experience. I lived in Paulding County years ago and liked this place. It seemed really well run and efficient. When I moved back into the area I returned to their office. The dentist I see, Dr. McCalla, is very nice and knowledgeable. The assistants seem to be too. That’s where the positivity ends for me. When I set up my appointment, it was for a teeth cleaning. That has never happened. Instead, I got pushed into getting crowns done (I knew I needed at least 2 myself so not unexpected). They do it over 2 sessions because they don’t make permanent crowns in office. So there’s always 2 trips for this - at least. I got 2 crown procedures done in December with temporary crowns placed. I was supposed to come back in January to put on the permanent ones. They didn’t fit. Rescheduled only for my temporary crown to break 3 days before that appointment and causes that permanent to also not fit. That was nearly 3 hours in the chair before I could be released. Rescheduled again for early February only for 1 of the crowns to fit and the other not because “when we send off 2 crowns sometimes the 2nd doesn’t come back right.” I actually got told that excuse which is mindboggling on so many levels. This is where the real "fun" began. Making the impression for the new temporary they had to clean up the post the crown sets on. I barely get numbed and then proceeded to get poked and prodded, which is normal, but apparently there was a lot of bleeding. It progressively gets more painful and at some point, the assistant puts something on that I think was to stop the bleeding and instead causes excruciating pain. The pain was radiating into my skull. There’s little that can be done except let it pass as I shake in the chair. The assistant bugs out and leave the room. I guess I can’t blame her. I wouldn’t want to see a person writhe around in pain with little I could do either. Once it passes, they quickly get done. They make an impression for my temporary, which after 2 attempts, doesn’t work. She then chose to put what was supposed to be my permanent on as a temporary and let me go. But we’re STILL not done! I left and felt something wrong on my lower jaw. When the temporary was trying to be made, it pulled off a previous crown I had done. I had to return and get them to reset the old permanent crown. I still have to return to, hopefully, get this last permanent put on. I’ve had to take several days off work, which I have the time so whatever, to get this all done. TL; DR: Friendly staff, but I’ve had such a frustrating experience with multiple office visits to get what should be a simple thing done.

Fantastic experience: Dr Moreno, and staff was great! Dr Moreno was very patient with my 3 yr old, when she was feeling discomfort, he immediately stopped and made sure she was comfortable again. My toddler even gave him a hug at the end of the procedure. We are thankful for Dr Moreno and his kind staff. Update 1/24/25 I have been back to this office multiple times for myself and for my oldest child and each time I was treated with professionalism and kindness. Dr. Moreno is very thorough and explains everything that's going on, so I know what to expect, etc . I appreciate him and his staff. Thank you !

Fantastic experience: Had my permanent bridge placed today. I have severe anxiety when I have to see the Dentist. I want to say that Gina and Dr Moreno were great. Very patient with me thru the last few visits to completion. Really put you at ease.

Negative experience: They waited a day before my appointment and said that a dentist wasn't available after I scheduled to be off work earlier so I could make it to the appointment. Shaking my head I will never go there again.

Negative experience: Customer service was not good. I wish I got the name of my hygienist. She was rude and acted as if I was a problem instead of her patient. I remember now why we left this dentist the last time. I will not be back.

Fantastic experience: My mother in law was very pleased with the fact that the Dr was listening closely to her issues and he take his time to do a thorough exam and explained everything well enough for all of us to understand. She was super relieved with the fact that the Dr spoke spanish and was able to express all her emotions and issues to him. The Hygienist was great she was patient with us as well as her Assistant, he was great with his x-rays, he tried to get them done fast since the sensor was a little painful. The front desk and treatment coordinators were super helpful and gave us a lot of advice and information about our treatment! This was our very first visit and so far it was great!

Negative experience: The wait times are incredibly too long. My son was scheduled to be seen at 12:00. He had to sit it the waiting room 45 min then another 30 min in the back. This seems to always be the experience there. Completely unacceptable!

Fantastic experience: I had Courtney today and she was awesome!!! I have now requested her for all my cleanings! I love getting my teeth cleaned! I come every 3 months because gum disease runs in my family. My Dad has so much dental work done its scary! So I make sure I don't have his gum and teeth problems thats why I come every 3 months. The young man that did my x-rays was amazing as well! They both made me feel comfortable and I was very happy leaving today! You are definitely my dental home! I'm now telling my roommates and my daughter and her boyfriend who have moved back to GA. Thank you for being the best!!!!

Fantastic experience: This is my second year receiving treatment from Dr. McCalla, I appreciate the care and professionalism she treats the patient with. Previously, I had multiple bad experiences with previous dentists, which made me always nervous when visiting dentists. Dr. McCalla made this fear goes away with making the treatment comfortable, fast with minimal pain.

Fantastic experience: Dr. McCalla is a 10/10. I am terrified and terrible at the dentist, but she really helps with my anxiety. She always makes me feel comfortable, she takes her time to see me and talk to me. Also, I am in the process of getting a tooth implant, which means I have to see a different dentist for that, and I always ask her if I should be sedated and her knowing me, she always says yes and she is right! Knowing your patients and knowing their needs or just what might be best for them, is so helpful. If you need a dentist, she’s the one to go to.

Negative experience: I made my appointment, I had to wait 2 months for it. It was for 10am (today). I got seen to my surface room (where everyone walks past first) at 11:05. They took a scan that I only get once a year paid for by my insurance - for the 4th time this year. I got seen at 12:05, for a 13 min procedure that will help me eat again. Had to take a day off of work, because this is not the first time they've made me wait for care. I'm not even asking for free stuff - this is time I'm planning and taking a whole day off of work to pay for. Can you not plan schedules better? It takes a LOT of consults to get a procedure done. It means a lot of time off work. But the revolving list of docs makes it even harder. It was the last day (AGAIN) that an oral surgeon works there. Tired of the consults if I keep getting palmed off to another practice, when I've already had to pay for the xrays/scans several times over.

Fantastic experience: First time patient, everyone there from office staff, exray tech, hygienist and Dentist very professional from beginning to end, asked for and considered my input, very thorough exam and best cleaning experience

Negative experience: I came into the office in pain hadn’t slept in 24 hours ask them before paying will they just give me antibiotics and send me home in pain. I was assured that they would stop the pain. I was given over the counter Tylenol which I already took more then once and nothing happened. I was sent home with a high blood pressure and pain I came in with plus more from them touching it. 1 out of 10 would not recommend!

Negative experience: Been coming here for many years, and for some reason every visit I need a filling done? There is just no way, I’m a dental assistant myself and know how to read a dental chart. Looking at my chart I only had about 5 fillings on the chart, even though I know I’ve had about 10 done in my mouth. My root canal wasn’t charted for the past 3 years since having it done. The office is not up to date anymore and holes in the wall and big scrapes alongside where the dental chair hits the wall. The dr. Talks down to us as patient was and makes you feel stupid about your own oral care. Now being educated on how things should be ran in a dental office, I know this is not for me anymore. I will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: I went to see Dr. Posey in a mess , I had went somewhere else to get started on implants . Like I said, I was a mess. Fantastic experience: I actually enjoyed my experience at Hiram Family Dentistry. I was their last patient of the day and yet they were not trying to rush me through the process. Each person took time and was courteous to explain what they were going to do.

Negative experience: Stay far away this place is like going into a Walmart checkout line , I am still waiting for the over payment I gave them because they demanded money before appointments of which I canceled in plenty of time ,that I had decided to find another dentist to use that I felt comfortable with . They won’t return my calls left on their billing VM I will be heading to their office in person really soon to demand my money back !!!!!

Positive experience: I love Dr MCalla! She’s the reason I started going here and only reason I’m still here. Staff are very nice but it’s not managed well at all. It’s a hot mess. I’ve had prior issues scheduling and while I was there yesterday two other patients were experiencing scheduling issues as well…showing up then not being in the system schedule etc. And lots of other communication issues like not being told cleaning was not covered in what I already paid for-doing the cleaning without informing me/ensuring I wanted to do it even though it’s extra and then being told at checkout it’s an additional charge to what I already paid. Really hope they can get their office management situation straightened out. Location is extremely convenient and nice and I love Dr MCalla.
