Fantastic experience: I've been under the care of Dr. Anderson at Mid-City Smiles for 14 years. He is fantastic and stays up to date with new technology. The dental hygienists are nice and thorough. The staff is very good and friendly. The office and exam rooms are clean and comfortable, with window views out to the sky and WWOZ playing.

Positive experience: Been a client for years. The last few visits I’ve been less satisfied. Longer wait times. Today was 26 min past my appt. Today also an extra charge, of 3.5% of bill total if you use a credit card. The office is clean and it appears the setup is more modern, not dated equipment. In the past I’ve had an issue with the way they put the suction tube in my mouth and let it suction to my mouth, but I had a great lady today for that, no issues. Perhaps more experienced. There are a lotttt of young girls around. I don’t usually recognize many faces on the next trip, so I feel it’s a high turn around place.

Fantastic experience: Incredible experience all-around. I neglected dental cleanings for far too long, and the staff were patient, polite, and kind as they helped make my smile brighter!

Negative experience: While the dentists are amazing, my husband and I will never return to this office again. The staff verified that our insurance was in network and because of the great service we received, we switched to them. However I got hit with a bill of $156. I called for billing and was told to email the lady who handles billing. I did just that. She NEVER got back to us. On their website they list insurances that they are in network with. Well, when I called my insurance, they informed me that Mid-City chose not to renew their contract for my insurance Eventhough I was told by them that I was in network and it’s listed as in network on their site. This has resulted in unnecessary bills for me. My husband had major work done and not once did they say oh we dropped your insurance so you’ll be out of network. NEVER again. One young lady apologized because she could see how MISLED I was. Do yourself a favor and go to an office who won’t lie and tell you that you’re in network when you’re not.

Negative experience: One of their dentists, Dr. Jimenez, again kept me waiting for 45 minutes to fit a new crown. I had a 12:15 appointment and the procedure started at about 1 PM. I was late for a subsequent doctor's appointment. This dentist needs to try to make her appointments on time, or the front desk needs to be re-educated about scheduling her.

Negative experience: This place is like an Assembly Plant and punching money. Their mild manners hygienist don’t care to clean teeth. Also, great in billing and collecting money. They wouldn’t tell if they are not in network. The FD young girls are fresh mouth and no respect to patients. Also, they charge very high for their services. We found other Dental Services half of what MudCity Smiles were charging for years. Make few phone calls and see how much you will save.

Booking was easy, and I was seen within two weeks—plus, they even called to offer an earlier appointment due to a cancellation, which was a great surprise. I left with sparkling clean teeth and a big smile! Highly recommend for both the service and the care.

Dr. Marin is helping me maintain healthy teeth and gums and I am so grateful to have found them! *Update* We have decided to leave the dental practice. Dr. Anderson has switched his focus from family dentistry to pandering for Athletes to patronize his business. The last straw for me was trying to make me pay for services his dentist messed up to get them fixed. She botched fillings on me and my son's teeth. Dr. Marin was a former dentist in his office before Dr. Anderson began chasing fame dreams. His practice is all the way in Slidell but his work is worth the travel. I had been a patient there since about 2018. Never missed a payment or anything. Then they started saying I had an unpaid bill from years ago out of the blue. Every time I asked to speak with the Office Manager, she was conveniently not available and never returned phone calls or emails. This review was formerly a 5 star when I initially posted it 4 years ago. I can't say anything bad about Dr. Anderson's dental work or him being rude because I didnt have those type of issues with him. The practice belongs to him and his staff is a direct reflection of his leadership. They don't answer the phones often, making up unpaid bills, and the occasional rudeness (wasn't often but I'd be lying if I said it never happened.) were all contributing factors in our decision to leave. I hope this messages serves as a tool for Dr. Anderson to take a good look at the people he employs to represent him. Hope this review helps someone!!

Fantastic experience: I literally walked into the office as I passed by on a walk at 11:30am. I am visiting NOLA for a few months and had a very sharp edge on my invisalign. I walked into the office asking if they would consider filing it for me. The woman at the desk was incredibly welcoming and within 15-20 minutes I was being taken back and another welcoming young woman took care of me. I would recommend this practice and if I were to relocate in NOLA, I would be their pt. I left with a bigger, happier smile! Thank you all.

Negative experience: Updated Review I Spoke to someone at 8:25 am on 4/15/25 After paying my bill in full. I was charged again. I was told the account manager took me off auto pay. My card was not taken off autopay it was still charged this morning. For some reason I’m getting an attitude from the front desk behind their mistakes. I made my bank aware of the fraud charges on my account. I’m very disappointed in the accounting. Be warned!!! My husband and I received a bill 2 years later after paying our bill in full. The billing department came back saying the insurance didn’t cover the work. I spoke to the insurance company. They explained that Midcity smile was aware of what was covered. Midcity front desk lied to me and told me that the insurance covered the cost. Midcity smiles billing department is very unorganized. Out of pocket cost over $7000.00 Dr. Frye is an exceptional dentist. I hope Dr. Frye moves. I will add photos

Negative experience: Not sure what is up with this place, but I have left two voice mails, one text message from the system that sent me a text after I left the vmail??? Which doesn't make sense and I sent an email all over the coarse of about 4 weeks. Have i heard back, no. Not good so far.

Positive experience: Love this place, but every time I go in for just a cleaning, which is covered completely by insurance they say I have a balance due. The last one I paid was from 2 years ago. Then again to day they said I changed insurance but I definitely had not since my last cleaning. It’s completely rude to not make sure you’re doing your job by submitting whatever you need the insurance company before you tell a patient they have an outstanding bill from who knows when. I also never leave review but this is healthcare so step it up.

Fantastic experience: I scheduled my routine teeth cleaning with Crescent City Smiles after working with Dr. Caylin Frye Greene years ago. I chose to follow her to her new practice because I know, like, and trust her. I was a bit concerned about my cold sensitivity due to some areas of gum recession and the use of the Cavitron instead of hand scaling. However, I was fortunate to have Jenny as my hygienist. She was patient, gentle, friendly, and thorough. I’m pleased to have found my new dental home and highly recommend these fabulous ladies!

Fantastic experience: I have been a client of Mid-City Smiles for several years now. The dental technicians and dentist are always extremely professional and personable. I rarely have to wait for my appointment and when I am there for routine checkups and cleanings, I'm on my way in about an hour.

Fantastic experience: I had a hard time finding a dentist in New Orleans. A colleague recommended MID City and it has been a great experience. Friendly staff, transparent prices, and the back office operations are run efficiently. It is your teeth, so you get what you pay for. Did I mention they play jazz? Wait times are bit variable.

Positive experience: Drs. Greene and Anderson have been extremely kind professionals. I would easily recommend either to family and friends. The clinical staff has also been wonderful to work with. The rating I provided has mostly to do with a very common, displeasing experience at healthcare offices and that is the front office staff. They don’t respond to emails, they don’t return calls, they don’t answer calls (My insurance company was trying to reach the office but couldn’t. They asked me how I got in touch with office and my response was, you have to keep calling)… their overall engagement is lackluster and unhelpful. I don’t understand the culture that drives public-facing professionals to behave as though customers are bothersome, but it is exactly what the experience is like here. A friend of mine facetiously describes the front office as a real life SNL skit.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Caylin Green and the staff were amazing. I haven’t been to the dentist in YEARS and knew I needed to go, I went in and felt like I was around someone who could give me legit answers on how I can go about making my natural smile be its best. There was an answer for every concern and a sense of willingness to help because of passion, not strictly because of payment. I got my teeth cleaned, not whitened and I had a lot of plaque build up on my teeth. By the time she finished, I could already see my teeth had become more white. Highly recommended for anyone who’s interested in being serviced.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Greene is amazing. I was going to another dentist in the city and needed a second opinion. She immediately fixed everything that had been done haphazardly. She didn't even say that. But I know it was done wrong. Everyone there, from the front office to the doctors are efficient and friendly. They have some of the latest technology. And I like that I can get a cleaning, get root canals, Invisalign in one place. Really convenient.

Fantastic experience: Someone cancelled their appointment so I was able to get my teeth cleaned. I have had problems getting an appointment for a cleaning. So I decided to check with the office on days I don’t have anything to do. I got to meet Dr. Green. She’s very nice and gave me great news. I’m still using Invisalign. There are people talking about how it rots your teeth and destroys your gums. Dr. Green dispelled that with my check up. Thank you Dr. Green and my sweet hygienist.

On Monday 2-3-2025 I had pain in my lower right Tooth #30 - I gave a call to Mid City Smile in setting up an appointment to getting Tooth #30 pain resolved. The Great Mid- City Smile Team booked me an appointment same day. I was referred to an specialist for Root canals and given a prescription of Amoxicillin for my tooth infection.. I also got my Teeth Cleaning appointment scheduled same day 2-3-2025 for 2pm. It was a Blessing in getting help in a time of need - it felt amazing!
