Fantastic experience: 11/21/2024 - 6 month checkup, I’ll say it over and over. We got lucky when my wife and I picked this office for our dental work. Everyone here is so friendly, but more importantly, very good at what they do. One negative - no hot chocolate pods for the Keurig machine this time. Oh oh, I’m getting old. Now I need a crown on one of my molars. From start to finish, the folks at Ocean Bay Dental were professional, super friendly and made the process easy. So glad we found these folks. Last thing - they have a Keurig machine with hot chocolate pods for those that are in the waiting room. Bingo! Another 6 month cleaning/checkup, and still very pleased with our hygienist and the overall experience. Friendly people that do a great job - can’t beat that. Yet another dental checkup and cleaning, and still VERY PLEASED with these folks. The last two times for our cleaning we’ve had Merissa. Very good at what she does, and extremely nice. Can’t ask for more when you’re going to that place we all dread... My wife and I both have Courtney for our hygienist, and we are very pleased with how good she is at her job and how nice of a person she is. She makes going to the dentist a pleasant experience versus something we dread. Good people doing good work, can’t ask for more. 6/19/2025 - Another 6 month checkup, a different Hygienist. I’ve now had Savannah, Courtney, Marisa and Mattie. Not sure how this practice manages to get such good folks, but they do. Extremely pleased with Savannah this past week, and the others in past appointments. Wonderful staff, including the dentist, who’s not only super nice, but very good at what he does. Highly recommend these folks to anyone looking for a terrific dental practice.

Fantastic experience: Yes. I took my liners off & tried to eat. The lower front incisor?? Button was sharp. I could not eat. I called, they got me in within 15 min, & trimmed the sharp spot off.

Negative experience: I have the worst looking most uncomfortable temporary crown on my front tooth, it is rubbing on my lip and all around the bridge on the lower right the gum is swollen. I called the next day for an appointment and was told someone would get back to me, no one ever called back! I just happened to be in the area the next morning so I stopped in but was told there was no way I could be seen that day which was a Friday of course they are closed for the weekend! The assistant had told me several times that if I had any discomfort that I could just call and I would be seen! Not so!

Fantastic experience: Came in on extremely short notice. They fit me in and got everything I needed fixed done the very next day working through their lunch break. Dr Steppe and his assistant I couldn’t have better things to say thank you guys so much for squeezing me in!

Fantastic experience: I've been a regular patient here for over 6 years and wouldn't go anywhere else in MB. I've had two different teeth break (I'm old), and both times the office got me in the same day to be evaluated and treated. I've had 3 crowns put on by Dr. Steppe and all 3 worked out great. Turn around times for crowns are very quick and they always have appts available for that kind of work. The crown (no pun intended) jewel of this office is their hygienist, Savannah, who has done my teeth cleanings for at least three or four years now. She is indeed a formidable hygienist and simply does a terrific job every single time. She's beyond nice and friendly and truly makes me feel welcome whenever I visit. She's given me lots of toothbrush and toothpaste recommendations and where to get the best deal on these items. She's a true asset to this office and is a major reason I recommend Ocean Bay Dental to all my friends new to the area or those who want to switch practices. Ask for Savannah and Dr. Sreppe. You'll be glad you did!

Fantastic experience: 2025 - met different pros, got same friendly professional service. This time a new bridge. Karen did a great job getting everything just right, even my golf game. Montana worked hard with my insurer to make sure my benefits were maximized. How good is that? By now, I've probably met the whole staff. A+ for everyone. Follow Up Review: I am 77 years old. I've seen a lot of Dentists in a lot of places. Ocean Bay is the shining star on the list. Their entire crew is professional, friendly, available and patient. Exactly what you hope to see in a business - every time. They have your best interest in mind, not theirs. Had a great visit, a rare thing to say when going to the Dentist!! Savannah, a skilled technician, worked on my teeth like they were her own. I have been a pipe smoker for over 50 years and she did everything possible to make it look like I never smoked. Kristin was also a pleasure to work with at checkout. A class operation all the way. Next visit went just as well!! And the next too!!! Now it’s 2024 and my visit was as good as all the rest. Brittany is an artist working on your teeth.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Vercammen and his staff have been a godsend! The woman (Traci) who did my initial cleaning was simply awesome! She was kind and gentle and spent a great deal of time on me. She also gave me great advice and I am absolutely in love with my WaterPik and wish someone had suggested it much sooner. Dr. Vercammen decided on a great plan of action. He performed a tooth extraction and it was amazing! Efficient and fast and the best extraction process ever. The other staff have also been friendly and very helpful each time that I interact via phone or in person. I am having a lot of long overdue dental work done and I am very happy that I chose Ocean Bay Dental. Saw Traci for 3rd cleaning and exam today, 12/7/21. She is so wonderful in every way! Kind, patient, friendly, gentle and a joy to have as my dental Hygienist. Cleaning etc. with Traci again today, 8/15/23. Dr.Vercammen is going to fix one of my teeth soon. Extremely pleased with everyone at Ocean Bay Dental Care! Semi annual cleaning today with Traci C. Also interacted with Gracie and, of course, Dr. Vercammen. I expressed my concern about a tooth, and an x-ray and check by the dentist was done right away. My concern assuaged, we went forward with the cleaning. Negative experience: Dentist told my son that he had a damaged root and needed a root canal. Sent him to a specialist and paid $350 for the specialist to say there is nothing wrong. This is not our first issue like this with this dentist. They are great for cleanings but beyond that they only cost us additional money.

Fantastic experience: My insurance changed so I had to find a new Dentist, and I had broken a filling, they got me in quickly and went over the details of what I needed to have done. I appreciate the time they took with me and the urgency to get the work done. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful.

Positive experience: Overall, most of the staff appear to be of 4/5 star caliber. However, there are a few unprofessional appointment staff members who don’t seem to understand customer service very well. I made my first appointment over the phone without issues, scheduling it roughly a week in advance. To ensure my name was spelled correctly—despite it being straightforward—I always spell it out during the process.The appointment was made. I received the customary appointment confirmation call, which I unfortunately missed while at work. This call occurred on a Thursday a few days prior to the appointment. After about an hour of missing the call, I called back to speak with the staff, but they seemed bewildered and had no idea who I was. I was instructed to hang up and listen to my voicemail again, and the tone used was less than appreciated. Following their instructions I confirmed i was correct, and I called back, only to face the same confusion. I suggested they check my appointment using my phone number, but apparently, no appointment was made. Feeling frustrated, I decided not to further inconvenience their staff. Instead, I requested them to note the cancellation of any appointment that may have been scheduled because I had lost interest in visiting their office. The next day, I received yet another appointment notification call, which I answered even though I was still at work. The woman on the phone seemed confused about the previous situation. I chalked it up to an honest mistake. When I arrived for my appointment, I was pleased to be greeted warmly. However, another staff member informed the older receptionist that my name had been entered incorrectly. The receptionist, after realizing her mistake, scowled at me as if I were a misbehaved child and asked, “Why is the name wrong?” I simply shrugged and replied, “I don’t know.” If it hadn’t been for the young lady who stepped in to help, I would have likely turned around and left after expressing my concerns politely. Fortunately, the rest of the staff I interacted with afterward were charming and professional. Overall, I would rate them an B which should have been an A.

Positive experience: Well, I must say of all my years of getting my teeth cleaned 55years now, that last visit was the fastest my teeth have ever been cleaned or were they........less than 30 mints I do believe. That's all I have to say.

Ocean Bay is our 3rd & I highly recommend them. If they accept your insurance, look no further! They also accept appointments very early morning!

Positive experience: Normally have a great experience with this company. Great cleanings and great service. However I just received a call because on March 19th they are closing early for a meeting and need to reschedule me. That being said that would be fine if they had rescheduling options available but the only times for the REST of the month were tommorow at 9 am and the 3 pm the next day - good thing I had taken tommorow off work so I was able to make it but very unprofessional. Dental appointments are booked MONTHS in advance and if you’re going to have a meeting that requires schedule changes you can’t really accommodate you should have your meeting after your close or come in on a Saturday or Sunday like my place of employment has us do, promise 30 mins overtime won’t kill yah :) In conclusion they are normally very good but it’s pretty rude of them to close early and request me to move my appointment when it’s been booked for 6 months and they only have 2 options for me to reschedule this whole month. Ridiculous.

When I called describing my pain they worked me in as soon as possible. The staff and Dr Steppe are great! I was treated like the most important patient of the practice. I'm sure they treat all their patients the same. I'm happy to recommend Ocean Bay without reservation!
