Fantastic experience: Truly my favorite dental team that I’ve ever had. I’ve had a lot of work done previously at various dental practices and this one is truly my favorite. Now, I haven’t had the need for any work but every experience I’ve had has just been over the top in kindness, professionalism, and going above and beyond. Today, I had to bring my baby with me, and she began to fuss, and various people came to help and took care of her while I had my cleaning and X-rays. They absolutely did not have to do this but they did and helped me without any hesitation and ensured I did not feel bad about it as well. Truly amazing people! Thank God for them!

Positive experience: The.young lady at check out failed to tell me there was a charge if I used a credit card. The card I used was tied to my HRA but there was still a fee. Very disappointing as I would have paid by check. The dentist and his assistant were amazing. I’m just disappointed in the check out experience and the fact it cost me additional funds not considered by insurance and without notice.

Fantastic experience: I’m writing this review a year after my first visit. Over the past year, I’ve been to the dentist three times, and now it's time to share my experience. Scheduling an appointment is easy. The team is highly responsive—they text, send emails, and keep you informed every step of the way. The front office staff is fantastic. They clearly explain procedures, associated costs, insurance coverage, and co-pays, making the process seamless. During my first visit, the hygienist was just okay. She didn’t communicate much, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I sat in the chair for my cleaning, and afterward, the doctor came in. Dr. Patel is great—he patiently listened to my concerns and answered all my questions thoroughly. A week later, I went for my second appointment, and it was a completely different experience. My hygienist, Angelina, was **AMAZING**. She is kind, witty, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable and shared valuable tips that I adopted, which helped me significantly. Five months later, at my next appointment, she was just as fantastic. I also met Dr. Kellems, who was excellent as well. I highly recommend **Pure Smiles** for your dental needs. I was recommending by my health care insuranc e provider. 12/05/23,I had a Dental appointment with Pure Smiles, the visit was great,but I'm having some issues once I had my Crown was placed in it's dosen't feet or fit right,but I have confidence that once I speak to the staff it will be corrected. 11/13/2024 I'm very pleased with my visit today for my cleaning, the Hygienist the did my cleaning was very accommodating, she was pleasant, friendly, helpful, concern and very professional, she explained everything as she went along. Then Doctor Patel came in and as always he's great,always pleasant and done assessment and explained what needed to be done,he's great and professional, I really like him. Angelina’s dedication to her craft and expertise is top notch! As someone that did not have great dental hygiene before going to Pure Smiles being a patient with them has positively changed my oral hygiene and my daily routines.

Negative experience: I visited this dentist office and was thoroughly disappointed. It was extremely dirty, which I found unhygienic. To make matters worse, I had to wait an unreasonable hour for the dentist. The staff, who were super friendly, explained that the delay was due to emergencies. However, I would not recommend this business to anyone. I would not patronize this business in the future.

After each visit, I never have any pain or sensitivity in the teeth they worked on. The crowns look amazing—just like real teeth. The doctors and assistants are pretty young, which I actually like, because they’re more up-to-date with the latest methods and treatments.

Fantastic experience: I recently had my first visit with Pure Smiles Dentistry for cleaning and x-rays. I was impressed with everyone that I encountered and highly recommend this dental practice. The office is very clean and comfortable. Angelina was my hygienist and is definitely a "keeper". She was efficient, empathetic, thorough and gentle. I also saw Dr. Alyssa Patel. I had a small area of concern that Angelina had identified. Dr. Patel thoroughly examined me and did not push me to do additional treatment at this time. She will continue to watch the area. I appreciate this as a prime example of someone I can trust for future care. This is an exceptional practice and I will definitely be continuing as a patient. I have now been seen at Pure Smiles several times and am very pleased with my choice of dental practices. I still don't love going to the dentist but, everyone at this practice goes above and beyond in providing the most comfortable and positive experience possible. I continue to highly recommend.

Negative experience: If you are a veteran, and or using tricare. Do not use this dentist. I had an appointment scheduled and two days after scheduling it they said they no longer take tricare. Don't make the mistake with trying to use tricare at this dentistry. Don't trust their website. It'll say they take it, that's a lie.

Fantastic experience: Excellent care. The hygienist explained every procedure as well as the state of my dental health. Both she and the dentist took ample time for their evaluation and recommended ongoing dental care and preoperative care to avoid bacterial infections. Everyone at the practice was friendly and helpful.

Negative experience: Hate to leave a bad review as I’ve been going here for a couple of years. But I recommended my brother to go, at the time I scheduled the appointment they took his insurance and said his appointment would be free but then did a cleaning that was out of network for his insurance and failed to inform him. They did his cleaning and x-rays which were originally supposed to be free and then once he was done told him he owed $300 out of pocket and wouldn’t let him leave. He had no choice but to pay and is now out $300 until he gets paid again at the end of the week mind you. This is so disappointing, I thought I’d finally found a good dentistry. Also found out I was charged $500 for two teeth to be pulled because they said my insurance didn’t cover it all and then told me they over charged me and gave me a credit for it on my account. I just found out today the credit was $450. I should’ve only had to pay $50. I used it to pay my brothers bill. What an absolute scam of a dentistry. Shame on this entire establishment. Will definitely not be going back and definitely would not recommend. (Adding this since i can’t reply to his comment, the money issue only got resolved because I used my credit to pay it off. Christmas didn’t come early seeing as though I literally paid the $500 and the $300. And as a dentist you should do what I can afford not what you think I “need” to have done. Very unprofessional response. Would’ve expected more from Dr Patel. A very money hungry establishment.)

Negative experience: I have been coming here for years, and I have not had any problems until recently. I think the practice has gotten so big, that the staff members just don’t care. My most recent visit was a horrible experience for me. When checking in, I had to update my history. One question on there asked me to select issues or concerns I had more questions about, so I did. However, that was never addressed during my visit. The hygienist was initially nice, but I don’t think she showed much compassion or concern. When taking my Xrays, she kept shoving the piece so far back in my throat that it was causing me to gag. I kept having to adjust it, which I could tell was irritating her. I then told her she’s pushing it way too far back, and I can’t help that I have gag reflexes. Then when she went to clean my teeth, she let the suction rest on my tongue, and when I tried to hold it, she said “no just let it rest there.” So she starts cleaning my teeth, and water was splashing everywhere. After the water started splashing in my nose, I had had enough. I informed her that no other dental hygienist at that practice ever had water splashing on me like that. In the middle of her cleaning, the doctor walks in. He’s pleasant as always, but he walks in asking her what type of chair/stool she likes better. Had a whole conversation which I feel like was not important to discuss in front of the patient. I also hate the fact that he came in the middle of cleaning instead of once it was over like he normally does. I want to ensure the hygienist did a good job. At any rate, the hygienist (Cara? Sarah?) continued cleaning and she actually scraped my gum a few times while removing plaque from my teeth. I squirmed in the chair so she could tell it hurt, but she didn’t do anything about it. Lastly, she says “it looks like your fluoride is covered today.” So she finished up and walked me to the front and said I was good to go. I went to the restroom, and when I got back, the receptionist said “I know she said you’re good to go, but you actually owe for the fluoride. It looks like you had an $18 credit on your account but you still owe $17.” I explained several times that the hygienist said it was covered, and she said “I know but she was looking at it wrong.” Well that’s NOT my problem. I told her that I hear what she’s saying, but fluoride is optional. So I wouldn’t have even gotten it. She finally said she would just “scrap the fee.” I then walked out. Also, why did I even have a credit on my account? So they are overcharging people, but they never even notified me that I was being over charged. I still do not know why I had a credit on my account. So customers BEWARE! Overall horrible experience.
