Palm Tree Dentistry - New Port Richey

Negative experience: I sent my daughter there Thursday for her ortho and cleaning. I got multiple texts from them asking to confirm the appointment which I did every time. They called me the day before saying her insurance isn’t active. I called gave insurance info and explained I WOULDNT be there but she would have her insurance. They stated it wouldn’t be a problem since she goes to ortho all the time alone. Man did they give my daughter the run around. They told her to go home as I never confirmed the appointment which I did. They took her insurance card and KEPT it. Told her to come back at 2 for her cleaning. Then told her we can’t see you but come back at 2 to get your insurance card because we are going to lunch. We live almost 40 mins away from this location. $5000 out of pocket on braces, pay for every cleaning and that’s how you treat your clients. Once her braces are off we will def be going somewhere else. I called the next day and they still DIDNT verify her insurance and want her to come back. Stating it takes a long time to verify if she has insurance or not. NEVER had an issue when she had Medicaid but now that she has paid insurance you guys can’t seem to see her or have major issues. Not very professional

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I brought 3 kids in, one was new. Rebecca made everything perfect. She stayed with all my children through everything. None of them cried and my youngest wants to go back and loves it! Thank you again Rebecca!!

Fantastic experience: All 6 of my kids go to palm Tree dentistry and they are so good with all the different ages! 2yrs old -13yo. They take care of all my babies!

Fantastic experience: Amazing office! The team from checking in to the clinical team was great! Kayla was very informative and kind, the Doctor also explained everything. The office manager welcomed me as a new patient. They are booking out pretty far but they offered to keep on the call list and told me to call as often as I wanted to check for cancels. Clean as well!

Fantastic experience: I was supposed to be there at 2:30 but I went in at 3:30 other than that everything was amazing they clean your teeth really well tell you what you need to get fixed and they give you recommendations on certain things this place is great and I’m definitely going again.

Fantastic experience: We have had a really great experience at palm tree. The staff is extremely friendly, inviting and calming. All 3 of my children are patients here. We did wait a very long time to be seen our first visit. However, my daughter has some significant dental issues and palm tree got us right into ortho the same day. They were timely with getting us in for extractions and fillings. I have now brought my other 2 kids there, we had the same experience of friendliness and we haven’t has a long wait since our first visit.

Fantastic experience: Staff was very welcoming, check in was smooth, technician was nice & explained everything that was going on , when we left the front desk girls all said good bye

Negative experience: Two of my children had cavities and was told they couldn’t get us back in the office for 6 months. When I returned both my kids cavities turned into a root canal or a tooth pulling. This same exact thing happened to use last year with our oldest, he had a cavity had to wait 7 months for an appt, when we returned it decayed so bad that they had to pull it. Three of my children are now petrified of the dentist and I’m extremely disappointed when I was told from the front desk that they have to push everyone out on appts bc they have so many patients. How about not have so many patients… or get more doctors. This is insane

Fantastic experience: First off I want to say Jo Jo went above and beyond helping my son and I dealing with authorization for work that needed to be done. We have been trying to get the treatment for over a year. Jo Jo and I made many calls to the Heart Specialist's nurse and I feel they did not care but Palm Tree Dentistry and Jo Jo did. I have been to the New Port Richey location many times with my 3 children and the staff has always been great. They are always respectful, considerate, understanding and willing to help, you can't ask for anything more. If it was up to me, my children would go nowhere else but unfortunately 2 of my children were taken from me illegally. I would recommend Palm Tree Dentistry to anyone without reservations. Thank you to everyone there and I hope we have many more years of working together for dental health.

Negative experience: Was there for over 2 hours for a regular cleaning , people who were late were taken ahead of us , the dental assistant was very very sweet she just talked a lot which prolonged the visit. Not sure if we’ll be back. I don’t think a regular cleaning should be 2 hours.

Fantastic experience: The dentist was able to do a portion of the work that was necessary same day! Palm Tree does a great job of making kids comfortable (both physically and mentally) for tougher procedures. Recommend!

Negative experience: This place sucks so bad don’t ever go here they are so trash. I have had my braces on for 5 YEARS their doctor dosent even come into the office she makes the employees take photos of ur child’s mouth and then email her the photos. She can’t do her job and is wildly incompetent. It’s also filthy on the inside there is dirt in every crevice and the nurses are extremely rude. Do not come here I can guarantee any “good review” you find is fake or paid beacuse I don’t see why ANYBODY would continue to give this place business.

Fantastic experience: Always great to my 5 kids, there's a few ladies In the back that treat my kids with love and know how to calm them down when they're nervous or scared. I'm never embarrassed when my kids are acting crazy, because they're always asking if I'm okay or need any help !

Negative experience: We are giving one more chance, but they consistently take over an hour past our scheduled time to start the appointment, it’s frustrating to set a time and never have it respected.

Fantastic experience: They were so awesome with my 4 year old who is on the autism spectrum!! It was his first time at the dentist and they were so welcoming and made sure they explained things thoroughly to him before starting. Definitely would recommend this place especially if you have special needs children with sensitives.

Negative experience: Worst dentist I've ever seen. They are always overbooked, and there is usually not even a place to sit while waiting. Expect to wait at LEAST an hour to go to the back to see the dentist. Pray you don't have a cavity, because they ALWAYS schedule the fillings 6 months out. By the time you get back to get it filled, it's spread or gotten bigger. There are few businesses I despise as much as this place.

Fantastic experience: I am very pleased with the service I receive at palm tree. The ladies are always very nice and helpful. I never have to wait very long to be seen and the work I get done is always exceptional. As someone that used to hate going to any dental appointments, I don’t hate it as much anymore with the care I receive at palm tree.

They were so nice even though they were short staffed for the day the receptionist on the phone, took my call and gave me two options for appointment same day. Positive experience: This place always overbooks so we were early for the appt, but had to wait 20 min to get in. Because I am not the guardian and my daughter works, they should know this because I have taken my grandchildren there before. They still waste time trying to find the information. For a 3:40 appt we got out at 5:30.

Negative experience: Took 3 hours for my 3 kids to get xrays and cleanings done. Another hygienist did a family of 3 younger boys, a boy, a girl, and another boy in the time that it took for my 3 kids.

Fantastic experience: It was my first time here with my 5 boys and this Office was amazing. Starting with front desk, Jojo and Kim they both were super sweet and professional. They made me feel comfortable and at home. The two assistant both were good and kind to my boys.Jose he took care of the boys. He was amazing. Doctor was good and on point. Definitely making this office my kids dentist.

Positive experience: I’ve been taking my children to this dentist for yrs (we don’t have any other choice in Pasco). I love the dentist hygienist and doctors. I would give them 5 STARs. That woman in control of Billing, she’s the worst and doesn’t take her job seriously. We make these appointments 6 mounts out, we give them all the insurance information before hand. I waited for 30 mins then she told be “there’s a problem with my daughter insurance, she can’t get her teeth cleaned without it getting fixed”. I have dual insurance, first I asked which one. Also should have been addressed long before I’m in the waiting room with my 2 young children for already 30 mins. She quickly knew she messed up and treated me like I haven’t been going there long before she started working for them. She’s been the worst, she doesn’t return calls about billing and insurance issues. We got sent a $600 bill when everything was covered and my husband and I called multiple times and always from her “someone will call you back”. No one ever did. We did get a call from an Indian guy telling us to pay the $600 now and we could get a discount. I knew we didn’t owe anything and this was fraudulent in this company did nothing to protect our information or tell anyone about false billings being sent out. I understand scammers but it’s been an extremely horrible dealing with this woman in control of billing.

Negative experience: The way they book appointments here for treatments is absolutely insane. They do not care about patient’s health. It feels like they are just there to get as many patients in and get paid fast. If you have a choice for your kid to go somewhere else I’d choose that. My son had to wait so long, I’m talking months, to get treated that now he has to have his tooth removed. I complained and they just placed blame on hygiene. Absolutely not!

Negative experience: The way that they book appointments here is absolutely ridiculous and the wait time IS ALWAYS over an hour. I brought my son in for a 920 appointment and at 10:30. I asked if he was gonna be called back I walked into the Waiting room, there was no seats available, and people were literally almost sitting on top of each other. The people who Walked in behind me all got called in before my child. Whenever I walked in to sign my son and they told me the doctor was with one other patient and he would be with me next. When I went up to the desk to ask If he was gonna be called back soon, the same lady who told me that there was one person in front of my son told me that he’s with siblings and other children doing cleanings. Mind you I was here the day before my Son’s appointment. And my children are siblings. They’re cleaning took three hours so I asked her if it was gonna take three hours like it took from my children for their cleanings. She then stated that she was going to have her manager see what was taking so long. When she came back to the front to let me know what was going on She told me that cleanings have a priority over a child that has to get a filling Mind you at this point the waiting room was completely empty, and I was still the only one that hadn’t been called back I’m not even going to reschedule my kids for this office at any location. I’m going to switch Dental office is completely They triple book people every single day and the way times are absolutely ridiculous and they act like it’s normal when you go up to the desk and say that you’ve been waiting for over an hour. When my children had cleanings, I was watching their dental assistant, cross-contamination her gloves with her dirty hands She kept dropping things on the floor and trying to place them back on my child’s tray She had her bare hands all over the gloves before she even put them on her hands and unwrapped my children’s cleaning instruments before she even had gloves on. I was very nice and gave the benefit of the doubt to bring my child back for a tiny filling that they said he had. I get it a lot of Medicaid insurance Through the state for health and dental. But that doesn’t give any practice the right to book as many kids as they can in one day and make the poor parents and kids wait hours for an appointment. I had stated to the front Desk, girls that I don’t want a doctor that is rushing to do my kids filling. And she told me that when there’s so much cleanings in one day that he only has 10 minutes to do one filling which I thought was absolutely ridiculous. Pretty much agreeing with me that he does have to rush and possibly mess up my children's teeth.

Fantastic experience: Both of my preteen Sons go here and they’ve always had a good visit. No tears or or fighting about going. I love the people who work here.

Fantastic experience: I took all 3 of my kids for their fillings today. The hygienist and Dr. SERRANO were so amazing with all my kids. I had one who was chill, 1 who was terrified (photo), and 1 4 yr old autistic boy who all were treated with patience and kindness and they all.did awesome. I really want to thank everyone because I understand it was a lot for all but they did a great job!!!

Fantastic experience: Everyone is over and beyond any office I have ever been in they made my grandson go from not going into room he was so scared to explaining everything to him and he have no trouble and had all bad teeth filled dentist was very gentle BEST Experience Ever go see for yourself you will know set up appointment after unable make one in 2 more days UNBELIEVABLE

Negative experience: The wait times used to be so ridiculous. I pulled 2 out 4 of my kids out of there. It became inconvenient to keep going to separate dentist so I placed all of them back at this dentist. It was a mistake. Wait times are a little faster not much but to schedule appointment is like pulling teeth. 3 of my children needed treatment they waited months for their appointment only for Palm tree to cancel because of scheduling errors with the dentist. I had to call multiple times to get the appointment they canceled rescheduled after being hung up on by the call center to call back and never get through multiple calls to multiple locations and still no one returned a phone call until the next week and I had to call the next week to get someone to call me back. The closest appointment they had was 2 months out or I could take off 3 separate days off work and take them one day at a time on random weeks for the next month. This is so ridiculous. Now I am going to pull all 4 children out. I have had enough of this place. They overbook and cancel confirmed appointment hours before said appointments with no accommodation to the patients they completely inconvenienced. My children will be back at their cleaning appointments before they actually get treatment smh.

Negative experience: We waited over an hour and 15 minutes for a simple cleaning. The cleaning and x-ray took 13 minutes. We waited another 20 minutes for the dentist to spend all of 3 minutes with us. I will never have an mid-afternoon appointment. It was standing room only. They clearly over booked time slots. They should tell you up front if they are running behind as a courtesy. At least you can reschedule if needed or get your kid a snack or drink prior to sitting for over hour. So many parents pissed today and kids crying Keep in mind we made this appointment 6 months ago.

Negative experience: Overbooked for 8am appointments is ridiculous! Sat there for an hour and decided to cancel my appointment and when asked why is it taking so long the excuse was I was “just flagged as available” 25 min after my appointment. We won’t be returning, not worth the frustration

Fantastic experience: Dr. Burton is such a great dentist and kind person. Love how patient and gentle she was with my kids. Jainsa and Adi are amazing assistants, they always explain each procedure and very friendly.

Fantastic experience: We had an amazing experience with Tamara (I’m sorry if I’m spelling it wrong) . My son is autistic and has NEVER let anyone brush his teeth or work on his mouth for more than two minutes in almost 7 years and he sat there and let her finish everything! My 3 year daughter loved her as well! Last visit was good, the techs were very patient as well. Absolutely grateful for the girls that work here, they are so nice and patient and that really does make a difference. I love how they’re bilingual and well and my children can understand them! Dr. Serrano was also so sweet and nice! Thank you very much to all!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this dentist for many years but today my 5 year old son had to have a filling and let me tell you how amazing they did. I arrived at my appointment time and was served quickly. My son never had anesthesia but She, Doctor Burton Sheva and Tamara the helper was so patient and caring and loving towards my son. They got the job done and my son didn’t even cry. I highly recommend them. This is the second time Doctor Burton has took care of my kids, the first time with my older daughter and she was just as kind and caring. I highly recommend her and the office. Staff is also so smiley and caring towards my kids needs. Thank you for a positive experience.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this dentist office. The staff is very friendly. My kids love them which is important in any medical office. It makes the appts so much better. Dr Burton and her assistant kathy were amazing with not only lily who was being seen but also my 4 other children. They were very helpful with keeping my other kiddos happy the entire visit. Fantastic experience: The ladies at Palm Tree Dental were great! I had a double appointment and when I walked in, there were quite a few people there already. I expected to be waiting for a while but they called our names very quickly and we immediately went back for x-rays and a cleaning. The hygienist Laurie was very sweet and handled the girls with ease and was a smooth process. They got their coins and were excited to redeem for a few goodies! Fantastic experience: The staff is amazing! However, it’s just if you book your cleaning in the evening, it’s gonna be late and you’re gonna be delayed and you’re gonna get out a little later. Certain staff members need to be a little bit more professional than others.

Negative experience: I arrived early for my appointment, but there was a 30-minute wait before I was called to the back. Once there, the dental assistant did not have the room or supplies ready, which led to an additional delay. Afterward, she took extra time to go over the payment I had already made and confirm the type of appointment I was expecting, which added to the overall wait. I would appreciate a more streamlined and efficient experience in the future.

Fantastic experience: I read the reviews and I was slightly apprehensive since they were mixed but I had the most amazing experience there. It was my son’s first time and we were out within an hour for a cleaning. My son needed some work done and they were actually able to get him in that same day and he had 1 crown, 2 fillings, and sealant done within an hour! I went here because we have denta quest through Florida healthy kids and I was not expecting such wonderful and professional care but that is what we received. My son is very nervous and all other places said he would need to be knocked out for an extra $750 but this doctor at palm tree dental told me he would be fine with laughing gas but I was very nervous he wouldn’t make it. They did an exceptional job and the assistant was very caring and calming toward my son. And it was all covered under the insurance and previously I was quoted $2000. I am sooo soo very thankful to have come here!! I highly recommend it!

She said to me today that she feels like the people there actually care about her! They are Incredibly busy, but handle it extremely well. Overall pretty happy with our time there!

Positive experience: I had an appointment on 12/for a consultation, the place was so packed, I waited for an hour for my appointment. Never had the consultation about braces. Well what they did was put her in a chair looked at her teeth, took some X-rays and they were all done. I mentioned a consultation that I was supposed to have, they looked at me and said we will set up another appointment to come in for the consultation, on Dec 13th. I wasn't too happy.,I must say the people that work there are very nice and respectful.My grandkids like it there.that is what counts.. Thank you ,Peggy Kline

Fantastic experience: Everyone at Palm Tree Density is always so nice! I am ESPECIALLY thankful for Dr.Serrano and her dental assistant Adi! My daughter is autistic and scared of going to the dentist office, but they go OVER and BEYOND taking such great care of her dental needs and making sure she feels as comfortable as possible! Thank you SO MUCH for your patience and kindness at every appointment she has !!

Fantastic experience: Palm Tree Dentistry is awesome, my 12 yr old daughter was so nervous and asked a lot of questions during her procedure (she needed 4 baby teeth pulled), and the dentist and her assistant were absolutely amazing, making her feel comfortable and answering all her questions.
