Negative experience: Today was the second time I had to have my denture repaired. Picked up a brochure and realized it hadn't been 2 years since I purchased them. Still under warranty. So no charge! But, the last time I was there I was charged $130! Obviously they were under warranty the first time. Shouldn't you owe me some money?!

Positive experience: All the staff were very attentive. I also liked that I spoke to an actual dentist and not the staff.

Positive experience: Visit was just fine Dr. Sarah and her assistant were great. They provided me with the information I needed, unfortunately O was hoping to get some of my issues somewhat fixed but that wasn't the way things went. Basically I was hoping to have a couple of teeth pulled but she said I needed to see a periodontist first. Sadly that's extra money I don't have and I have of idea when I will have it. I will keep coming back to Sarah and your office and will keep recommending you.

My mother was apprehensive about the appointment and she was delighted that the process was smooth and easy. All decisions were managed clearly and gently and she is extremely pleased. Negative experience: Awful! I paid for the elite denture package. They only showed me ONE shade. I had to insist on seeing and picking a lighter shade. I wasn't told about the $89.25 surcharge for using my card. I saw it on my receipt. Look around for other dental offices.

Fantastic experience: Best experience I’ve ever had at the dentist. Chelsea and Dr. Laws are the best! I was having a bad day and Chelsea actually made the appointment enjoyable and turned my day around. On top of that, my teeth are clean and my issue with my tooth was fixed within minutes.

Fantastic experience: It was my first Dental visit at Dental Center Of Florence today. I was called back pretty quickly for my appointment. I was nervous because I have very sensitive teeth, and I was afraid I was going to have pain. I discussed this with the person who was about to clean my teeth. The Dental tech, Kim, was so good at her job, Kim was able to explain some options for me, such as some topical numbing gel, which actually worked perfectly for me, So, I didn't need any other alternatives, but they do have other options. In my case, I didn't experience any pain at all during my teeth cleaning, even though I am a senior citizen, and my teeth are not as healthy as they used to be. The whole staff and team were very nice to my grandson. The entire visit was very happy, and completely pleasant.Of course My 7 year old grandson wanted to go along and watch the, teeth cleaning and he was given his own little chair, so he could watch. The whole Dental team Staff really got along well with each other, and the atmosphere was very positive and upbeat. Dr. Laura was really informative, and explained everything very clearly for me regarding my future oral health needs. The Teeth Cleaning was efficient, painless, and my teeth really look great. DCOF tech used an innovative Dental tool with vibration and water, which was pretty, revolucionar and very comfortable for me as a patient. Within the many years, I have had teeth cleanings during my lifetime, which has been about 45 years of regular Dental care, this was the most pleasant experience ever. It did not take very long. .I've already made a six month appointment for my next teeth cleaning, and I'm looking forward to it. I highly recommend this Dental Center Of Florence to anyone not only because of their services and efficiency, but also rheir friendly nature and positive atmosphere.

Negative experience: I scheduled an emergency appointment at Dental Center of Florence and was seen the next day. While I appreciated the quick availability, the experience was frustrating—especially as someone paying out of pocket without insurance. I made it clear up front which tooth needed to be pulled, yet I was still given a full set of x-rays that felt completely unnecessary for my situation. I wasn’t told what those would cost ahead of time, and I was shocked when I found out how expensive they were. For someone paying cash, that kind of surprise is not just inconvenient—it’s a major financial burden. After the x-rays, I was told I had to come back a few hours later the same day just to have the tooth pulled. Then I was pressured into considering a $3,000 treatment plan instead of the $300 option I originally came in for. It really felt like the focus was on upselling instead of simply helping with the issue I came in for. This experience left me feeling misled and taken advantage of. I think patients—especially those without insurance—deserve honesty, upfront pricing, and care that respects their time and financial situation.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointing! I set up an appointment for a relative which was extremely easy to do. That is all the credit I can give because there was nothing online about insurance , when we got there, we found out they didn't accept basically any insurance. Then when I asked about the price of the consultation, I was told it starts at 240$ but will most likely be much higher. Shocking they wanted startimg at 240$ just to speak with someone fir a consultation. Aspen dental offered a completely free consultation, free X-Rays, as well as a few other services. Needless to say, I felt extremely disappointed that DCOF wasted my family members time.

Negative experience: Just feel like thay don't want to take the time to talk to you and explain what thare doing. Ask lots of questions if you go hear and your defentlty not getting a cleaning for while.

Positive experience: I am very pleased with my visit to DSF , Dr. Laws and all the staff that I’ve had the privilege to meet are very nice . Everything is explained well which calms a nervous patient. My temporary plate has been very comfortable and I know the permanent plate will be just as nice . It’s taken longer than I expected to get my permanent plate but I believe I will be pleased. Thanks for giving me back my smile .

Fantastic experience: Been a long time since I've gone to a dentist office that actually put their patients first instead of the Almighty Dollar. I needed extensive work and they were all very patient, friendly, and kind and non judgmental. They explained the best options for me and listened to my concerns. I had a dentist before them that wanted to rip all my teeth out, but Dental Center of Florence was able to save all my healthy teeth and fix my canines which were almost destroyed by acid erosion. Thank you so much for giving me my smile and my confidence back!

Positive experience: Pleasant and knowledgeable staff. I think the up front cost policies were made for good reasons but they aren’t exactly explained the same by the employees. I don’t blame the employees at all. Was a little confused by the different up front costs for new patients. Was told four different versions of how much the first appt was and the second appt. I was even told two different costs in the half hour I was there for the first time. Out of five different companies this was the only one that was too caught up with getting paid even to make patients confirm their appointments.

Negative experience: I came there with horrible tooth pain. The dentist looked at X-rays said she didn't see anything wrong besides I had old filling. She stated she thought u needed to just go back to my regular dentist which is out of town. I told her when I drink cold stuff it hurts really bad and ask if she could spray water to see and she avoided the question and while I was in the middle of talking to her she just completely exited the room. When I told the assistant that was unprofessional that was, she came back in with an excuse that's she didn't know I was still talking to her. Then I ask what can I do for the pain she told me over the counter medicine or if ur just wanting narcotics she can call them in. I told her I don't take narcotics. She made me feel like that was why I was there . She said well I can X-ray other teeth to see if there is an issue which wasn't even the area of the pain and I said no so you can charge me more for nothing .I exited the room and said I would never be back and told her how unprofessional she was. I got to the front desk that lady was very nice ask what was wrong and then went and talked to Dentist and came back and told me what she said which she lied and offered to schedule me with another dentist another day. I declined since I drove hour away for absolutely nothing. Don't recommend!!

Fantastic experience: I love this dentist office. They are top notch on getting what you need done and making sure you know what you need before you leave. The only issue I would have is when you make an appointment you have two different phone calls or text messages that hit you about four times before your appointment so they make sure you’re not going to be late Other than that. It’s a great dentist office and I love the staff. They are so friendly

She later on took me took me to Tori, also exceptional young lady and the Md was gentle while doing my dental work. All around I definitely had a pleasurable experience by the time I left. Negative experience: I went to get all my teeth pulled to get dentures. They didn't take Medicare so I payed the 50.dollars upfront They wanted 6000 for my temporary pair and my permanent pair. I had to borrow that.The dentist was ok but perked them out real quick. My face was swollen about 3 xs the size for a few days. It looked like I'd fallen down on my face. I went up once after because they kept rubbing my gums and I couldn't wear them very long. I can wear the top but still can't wear the bottom. Big waste of money so far.

Fantastic experience: Their quality was excellent when I had my father-in-law's dentures fixed there. The staff was very helpful and friendly and made me feel valued. I would recommend anyone needing denture/dental work to give them a try. You won't be disappointed!

Negative experience: I went to the DCOF from a referral I received from Healthpoint for a dental procedure that would require sedation. After getting my exrays and right before seeing the dentist it was explained that they understood I was there to get a regular filing. I explained that was not the case and there was a misunderstanding. I explained that I came there from the referral based on them providing sedation services for filing procedures. The only thing they had done for me at that point were the ex-rays. Before I left they expected me to pay $228! I declined and the dental hygienist I was working with said I was still expected to pay the amount for the services I received. She also asked me to signed a sheet acknowledging the bill and I declined that as well. She explained they were still gonna bill me for services with included the exrays and an exam. I never received an exam only ex-rays and my filling was never done due to them not currently providing sedation services by IV due to them no longer having an anesthesiologist. I requested a refund due to all this as I thought they would be able to help me get my tooth fixed. I don't think I should be billed for services I didn't receive. Plus, I was misinformed about services they no longer provide. It was also on their website they provided sedation services which also led me to believe they were still doing so. They stated they failed to remove that info from their website. I was very disappointed by the lack of understanding and accommodation under the circumstances. I definitely would not recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I needed a top denture immediately because I was leaving on a long medical trip. I just showed up at opening and they got me in and I was able to get it. Everyone was so nice and really saved me

Fantastic experience: I completely broke off my top front tooth. Within 24 hours of walking in the front door of DCOF, I had a new tooth. The cost blew me away. The entire procedure cost less than $300 and they had to remove the root of my original tooth. The niceness and understanding of the staff was awesome. I recommend them to everyone. I plan to continue all of my dental care here. Dr Sara ROCKS!!!!! Thank you all for treating my situation with such urgency and understanding !!!

Fantastic experience: My very first visit was not so good. But all the visits after have been fantastic lo e this place. I try and tell who ever I can to go their. I live 1hr away and drive to them that is how wonderful they are.

Negative experience: Called for an appointment at the end of summer , they give me next day or first week of January 2025, they canceled the appointment (because of snow) and never contacted me to reschedule

Negative experience: DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!!! My loved one went to DCOF for dental care today as a first time patient. Our insurance isn’t accepted by this provider but given the limited choice of dentistry in our area, we scheduled to pay out of pocket. We were told $50 deposit over the phone and $211 in person. He went to the appt, they did X-rays and the dentist looked at him. No other dental service was rendered. The dentist told him that he was unable to provide any care to him ever…. and said he would need to go somewhere else……..an oral surgeon in addition to a different dentist in this practice as he didn’t feel comfortable doing anything!! My loved one checks out ant the desk to leave and was charged more than quoted of 267.00 outside of the 50 deposit!!!! We paid over $300.00 for NOTHING except a referral!! Oh and let me not forget to mention a quote $7,338.00 for work “the other dentist” could do. Pitiful service and a SCAM!!!! Referrals should never cost over $300!!

Negative experience: Came in with a need for a lower wisdom tooth extraction. Had not slept for the entire night before due to extreme pain, which had been ramping up. My first bottom wisdom tooth extraction, but I've heard they can be a rough recovery. Only after the extraction am I told the doc wants me to take over the counter ibuprofen to manage the pain afterward. Complete joke. I'm sure they are fine for cleanings etc... but if you would rather not suffer for days after basically a dental surgery, at least ask for someone other than Dr. Strahler, possibly just look elsewhere entirely.

Fantastic experience: I went in for a lower denture replacement and was very impressed with the wonderful services provided by all. I especially appreciated the transparency of the total price to be charged. There were no hidden fees. I went in at 8:00a.m. , and came back at 11:00 for first fitting, then at 3:00, the lab had them completed for final adjustment. Minor adjustment was made and I was ready to go home. So far, I am very impressed with Dental Center of Florence.
