Greenberg Dental & Orthodontics: Reviews
Negative experience: My husband recommended Greenberg Dental because he had a lot of work done there, but my experience has been horrible. I made an appointment for my 20-month-old son and asked if they were taking new infant clients. They said yes and made a soonest-available appointment for 1 month out. When I arrived for the appointment, they had issues communicating with the insurance, which took over an hour. After resolving that, Greenberg told me that they couldn't help my son because the doctor needed a referral from a pediatrician. If you needed that, you should have told me ONE MONTH ago! Why make the appointment and waste my time dealing with the insurance if you weren't going to see my son anyway? 1 star for wasting my time and being so inconsiderate.
Negative experience: The dentist and staff were professional. Wait time is ridiculous, I was seeing 2 hours after my appointment.
Fantastic experience: I had a crown replaced by Dr. Alizadegan and his team. He was very professional and sympathetic and he made sure that I was not in pain during the process. The team was very patient and kind.
Negative experience: The worst ever. I haven’t even been in the office and have had the worst experience. First off, I’ve been trying to reach this office for MONTHS. No one answers the phone. I never leave review’s especially bad ones but this place is so ridiculous. How do you have a place of business and hire people for certain positions but no one can answer the phone. So that’s the first thing. Now months later i finally get someone on the line which has to be the receptionist and she tells me they have a high call volume. Excuses!! Anyways i let it go and it just kept getting worse. So now I tell even after all that I’m willing to proceed and she asks me what’s name of the first child that i want to set an appointment for. I tell her and she immediately put me on hold. Mind you i have 3 other names to give her. Then the phone disconnects and i call back NO ANSWER. I call back at least 4 times and finally get the reception again and immediately ask for a supervisor because at this point I’m fed up and this is just ridiculous. She puts me on hold AGAIN and this time I’m hold for 5 min. It wouldn’t been a problem had i not had prior issues. So now I’m aggravated and call back and tell her if she going to put someone on hold for that long she should at least come back on the phone and inform the person what’s going on. Everything that came out of her mouth was excuses. She tells me oh the supervisor is with a client . But why wouldn’t you tell me that while I’m on hold to inform me that it will take longer that expected. So then she puts me on hold again and i haven’t been able to get through to them since. I called at least 6 times after this last encounter. It’s just RIDICULOUS because all i was trying to do was make an appointment.
Negative experience: Arrived at 7:30 am for a new patient exam and cleaning for an appointment at 8:00 am. After an hour and half, I still had not had my cleaning and was forced to reschedule the cleaning due to my work schedule. Then I was scheduled for a new patient consult with the oral surgeon, appointment was at 12:00 pm which I arrived at 11:55 am, I had not been checked in until 12:08 pm. Staff was rude and unorganized. Would never EVER go back to them. Found a new dentist.
Negative experience: Not accomodating receptionist. Mentioned about the day my daughter is having her therapy and they said no other day available for appointment. And wait time is for 2 months to get scheduled.
Fantastic experience: I want to make this very known that the only reason I am giving five stars is because of Mary, one of the front desk receptionists for Dr Lawson, I don't know her last name but she was amazing!! I didn't have the best experience because one of the dental hygienists but Mary went out of her way to make sure I was okay and I will never forget that!! You can see when people enjoy their job and what they do! If you see this, thank you so much Mary! I don't want to leave out Dr Lawson, he was great too!
Negative experience: I Called the office all morning no one would answer. Finally requested an appointment online and I was told the office accepted my insurance just to find out when I got there that they only accept up to 21 years old. I was told the surgeon was going to come speak with me about a possible extraction and was forced to pay $90 up front just to be seen by a dentist for less than a minute and to be told no surgeon was onsite. I left and went to another dental practice and was seen immediately and even had my tooth extracted right away. The doctor I spoke to here at Greenberg barely listened to my concerns and dismissed me from their office after barely glancing at my tooth for a split second. I had concerns for other teeth as well and they wouldn’t even set an X-ray appointment for a full exam. I’d say not to ever use this office and if you are looking for an affordable and professional office I suggest Family Dental in Oviedo.
Negative experience: Let's get started. Mr. Andy Greenberg, this is for you. Pay close attention, okay. You have a diverse team, that's great. Your team has some very hard-working people, and I congratulate you for that. The next one is for the team that shows every day that they give their all... but... you have to open your eyes a little. You know you have people on your team who taint the hard work you do, but whether out of shame or some personal reason, they prefer to turn a blind eye. Luckily, not many people are too lazy. This is interesting, pay close attention... I never received any notice that my appointment was approaching. It's the year 2025, Mr. Andy, if you don't remind the patient about their appointment, they may forget, and the money won't come in. It's important not to forget this, and if you have someone who is lazy at this level, be careful, okay. Customer service makes the difference. The waiting room, this one is good, pay close, close attention....are you prepared here we go...the staff in charge of calling patients by name, ESPECIALLY patients who have an appointment, have to make sure to stand in FRONT of the waiting room and say the patient's name, Mr. Andy, overlooked details can ruin any empire. If my appointment is at 12 p.m., why was I seen so late? You are intelligent, start asking your staff that, I am sure you will find the defects that need to be corrected or fixed. I'm almost done...Mr. Andy. What do I hate about laziness? Laziness and the lies to cover them up. This one is good...only those who have this description will try to convince you that the client is wrong. Look at the videos from the cameras that I imagine you have...right? Check at what point they stood in front of the public and I repeat, they stood in front of the public, not behind the counter, whispering the client's name (patient = client = money to pay debts) to avoid the CLIENT (I already explained what that means above) from having to go through a bad time dealing with a person who insists on saying that they called me a while ago and then that they couldn't find the appointment. (we are talking about an appointment more than 5 days away... IT WASN'T THAT I APPEARED LIKE AN ACT OF MAGIC (out of nowhere) TO BE ATTENDED TO. I know you are intelligent and since I have opened Pandora's box so to speak... I hope with all my heart that when you start dealing with these situations you manage to make them minimal or better yet... none. By the way, I almost forgot... a CLIENT with a first and last name like mine... whoever listens to you realizes that there will not be a misunderstanding when you stand in front of the Clients. I go today to Altamonte Spring youst in case . My inglish is not the best, sorry i be better whit time.I hope the color of my skin was not the main issue here.I think i will never now.
Fantastic experience: This is a really lovely office. The receptionist, dental assistant, dental hygienist, and the dentist were wonderful. I very much appreciated how communicative everyone was while I was getting x-rayed, examined, and cleaned. Dr. Silverman and everyone else (I didn't get everyone's names unfortunately) I saw were top tier for me.
Fantastic experience: This review is for Dr. Lawson, their oral surgeon, I was seen pretty quickly and didn’t have to wait too long to be called for my appointment. I felt very reassured the whole way through. I needed 3 wisdom teeth removed. She told me it would only take 10 minutes for the whole procedure…..and it took maybe 5 minutes. I only felt pressure and pull ing. I’m 48 they’ve been in there for years so sometimes you gotta put some strength into it lol. But NO pain. He did wonders with numbing me up properly! Thank you so much.
Fantastic experience: It’s no surprise why people recommend Dr. Lawson & say he is the Best! He truly is! From the front desk staff being attentive and helpful, to the techs & assistants being prompt & friendly all the way to Dr. Lawson, this team is PHENOMENAL. Dr. Lawson is a Rockstar & seriously the BEST at what he does. If you ever need an oral surgeon I highly recommend Dr. Lawson & his Team!
Negative experience: I've been to this place twice scheduled for an annual cleaning. Each appt, I've been taken to the back they poked round in my mouth told me everything else that they think need to done and what my insurance would pay and what my responsibility would be to pay. NO CLEANING done. Wasted time that I cannot get back
Negative experience: Horrible service. I had my daughter and I braces put on here and let me just say we stopped service and went elsewhere. They messed our teeth up so bad. All we needed was spaces filled. The previous ortho said we didn’t need braces but we wanted to close our cute little gaps for a new smile. Went to Longwood Greenberg and they narrowed our smile pushed our teeth out causing overbites. Put too much glue on and the new ortho couldn’t understand why our brackets were placed near the gum lines. They didn’t understand why they put so much glue on either. I’ll tell you why. Because we’re black. What other reason could there be? I got my daughter’s redone first at a new location and they did a phenomenal job correcting Hreenberg Longwoods mistake and now it’s my turn. Also, when my daughter was getting her braces done at Greenberg, she asked for red bands during one of her visits. The damn woman said you don’t need band with these braces. I said I know but we were told we could. She said it’s only for novelty. I said of course. Kids these days. So she conveniently forgot. I brought it up and she says oh well like I said it’s optional. I said yes we know and she wants to wear the red ones this time. So she seemed upset and proceeded to put them on very aggressively. My daughter was in so much pain. I left out and made a complaint to the front desk in front of everyone standing there. And we never went back.
Fantastic experience: I've seen Dr. Kam three times in the last 6 months and couldn't be more pleased. He is kind, caring, gentle, and thorough. His assistant is the same. I am confident that I'm getting the best care from them.
Negative experience: I took my son here right before covid happened and was told he had 3 cavities that needed to be filled. I fell for it but my little trooper fought them HARD and they then attempted to send him to a sedation dentist. TO BE SEDATED. I've been to two different dentists since then and have been repeatedly told no cavities. How are you sleeping at night knowing you are doing this to children? Not to mention my son is autistic. Need to be ashamed!!!!
Negative experience: I've been a patient of Greenberg Dental for 25 years without any issues until today's (1/28/25) encounter with Dr. Kamyar Alizadegan. Despite regular exams and oral hygiene every six months, Dr. Alizadegan refused to let me have a cleaning with the oral hygienist and was very rude. He condescendingly told me that I need a deep cleaning from a specialist, which is something no other Greenberg dentist has ever suggested. While I don't disagree with his recommendation, his attitude was unacceptable. As a patient, I should have been allowed to still have my cleaning and not been denied services based on one appointment. Dr. Alizadegan would benefit from learning about customer service and patient care, considering patients spend their hard-earned money at his office.
Negative experience: Let’s just say after being here for over 15 years I finally decided to try a different office and let me tell you I’m sure any office you find besides Greenberg will be better. Went in and was told needed multiple root canals and crowns charging me insane money. I tried a different office and they said only needed 1 and insurance covered a good portion of it. So do yourself a favor and try a different office. The Dr. lacks empathy and doesn’t offer any other solution, the staff gossips which I understand Spanish so yes I know when you’re talking about me or other patients. I hope this review helps you decide to change.
Negative experience: Very unprofessional. Came in with several other people who had appointments and waited for a long time. This location decided to close without rescheduling all the appointments made. Also, generally don’t answer the phones anyway
Fantastic experience: This is a wonderful office..Dr.Scott Lawson the oral surgeon is amazing..He pulled 3 teeth of mine and it was a breeze..I drove 1 1/2 hrs to this office and I would do it again if I had to.. Thank you Dr. Lawson
Negative experience: Can I give 0 stars? I will never use this office again. They haven't filed insurance claims with secondary insurance and it's been months after service date, apparently they haven't even been alerting me when my primary insurance rejects their claims. Have tried to call the billing office multiple times - nobody ever answers and they ask you to leave a long list of information they claim to need and yet nobody ever calls me back. I will never get services here again if their service remains this lowly.
Negative experience: The staff members lack empathy, the dentist who seen me was very blunt and rude. A staff member came and stated “ this patient has 4 teeth what do you want me to do with that” about another patient in a snarky way. and there is no reception in the waiting room.
Negative experience: This place was terrible. I went to an appointment yesterday , from the beggining it felt weird. I have health insurance and they told me my insurance cover nothing. Dr told me I needed two crowns and he wanted to do it immediately. I asked how much it would be and he said 3000 I asked again so what does my insurance cover and they said my insurance doesn’t cover anything. So I asked about a payment plan and they wanted me to pay the full amount immediately. I didn’t agree to it so I was charged a co pay and I walked out. I immediately called my insurance and they confirmed that crowns were covered and they cover a copay up to $15 so I should not have been charged anything. I’m not sure what is happening in this place but please be careful when visiting. I’ll never go back, make sure you check with insurance before you agree to anything.
Fantastic experience: I forgot some names so my apologizes! I was referred by my sister, and they were awesome! As soon as I walked in…from the reception to the assistants…especially Rosie! My Doctor was/is Kamyar Alizadegan, he is the best of the best! I am 68, and all I told him was I just want to have a pretty smile and not have to remove my partial! My appointment was made within a few days! The picture is just with my temporary…left there smiling ear to ear! I’ve always hated going to the dentist…now I look forward to it! thank you all
Negative experience: I have been calling this office for about a week now trying to get meds for tooth pain they never answer the phone people could be in a life or death situation and they would still never answer. And it takes months to get an appointment with them. They need more people there who actually care.
Negative experience: Going to Greenburg was by far one of my largest displeasures in getting any kind of medical care. On top of the 30 minute wait to get into the appointment, their treatment teeters on the edge of medical malpractice and what I experienced was borderline getting waterboarded. Somehow I came out with my hair, shoulders, and chest soaking wet because of the sheer volume of water without suction they were providing. They actually cleaned about three teeth except they scraped my gums way below my teeth in addition to my teeth. I could have flossed better than the cleaning they provide. My teeth, gums, and cheeks hurt. Would never come back.
Fantastic experience: Let me just say Dr Lawson the oral surgeon is AMAZING! I went in for wisdom teeth extractions and I was literally in and out . He was so quick and efficient I couldn’t believe it whatsoever. If you’re nervous about extractions he’s the one to go to he’ll definitely take care of you .
Negative experience: I am sharing this to warn everyone about this place but please for your sake go anywhere else but Greenburg. I’ve been attending this place for years and have had nothing but terrible customer service experience. Just recently, my relative went here and instead of taking ownership for their mistake, they gave my relative severe nerve damage—leading into thousands of dollars in medication, consecutive follow ups, simply because they were unqualified to perform the surgery; and instead of taking care of their patients and offering financial assistance, they send you off to thousands of other medical debt doctors and ensure they are free of their bad practices. I know this does not happen to everyone, but multiple people have agreed this is not the place to go. If you’re looking for dental care, save yourself the financial stress and physical struggles by avoiding this place. Nerve damage can be irreparable, consider that before you give them a call.
Negative experience: This office is literally the WORST. They set you up for multiple “consultations” to then charge you a arm and a leg for surgery. On top of that charting gets all messed up. The attitude the front desk has is literally terrible. The office in apopka is 10000 times better. If i could give a 0 for the stars i would. This office needs alot of training and better customer care.
Fantastic experience: I went here to inquire as to how I could recover smiling again. I had previously had teeth abstracted due to cracking on my side profile teeth. Dr Kamyar Alizadegan, confidently explained that he could replace my teeth with a bridge to regain my smile. He and his lovely assistants, treated me with kindness, assured me of the outcome, and it was just that! He is my SMILE hero!!! I'm back smiling again!!! I waited an entire month or so to post this comment, just to make sure that the results were ABSOLUTELY true, and they are!!! I'm back smiling bright again!!! God bless you Dr Kam!!!
Negative experience: My special need adult son was discriminated On April 8,2024 my older son has Autism and I always help the staff for him to have a successful visit. I was doing there job by holding the water for him while he was cleaning. Why? I felt the tech was unfriendly, short of patience, not communicating to him and not letting him to know a head of time what she needs to do. She had him before but she didn?t do the greatest job. I did not make a big deal because the first visit is always getting to know each other. It’s a shame that people are not willing to learn of how to handle special needs . Especially, they are willing to take my son instead of just say simply,”I’m sorry we don’t have the resources or accommodations for your son. I would understand. Even if it’s a bit discriminating but at the same time , it’s to avoid what had happened to my son. He did touched the tech as surprised by accident because she had poked him. He knows the protocol by all his visits. It was never an issue until now. Again, I do understand if the person is afraid or not comfortable of being in that situation. No one should not do a job that would relate different patients! Adam H - April 24, 2024
Negative experience: Our experience here was terrible. We haven’t been back since my child’s teeth were destroyed when they said they wanted to fill the few cavities. It looked like they filled it with literal cement. The x ray of how they drilled into their teeth was so hard to look at. The phone situation is another thing. Front desk is a joke. Not being able to book out in advance just for cleanings is ridiculous. We had to take them back to their old dentist to have their teeth fixed. My child was traumatized and had huge gaps drilled in between for no reason and screamed bloody murder every time something got lodged in between them while eating. Never in my life would I ever recommend this place to anyone.
Negative experience: Professionalism would be greatly appreciated. I was referred by another Greenburg office. I made the appointment weeks ago and gave them my insurance information. The day of the appointment, I had to call to make sure I still had an appointment because I did not receive a courtesy call the day before. I confirmed the appointment time. I get to the appointment only to be told they do not accept my insurance. Apparently, all the Greenburg offices have different systems. What a waste of my time. So, during the time I made the appointment until the day of the appointment, no one took it upon themselves to let me know this. I left early from work, drove all the way there and couldn’t be seen because no one could communicate this information. They claimed they had just found out. And yet, no one could pick up the phone and call me? What was going on between the time I made the appointment until the time I called to confirm, which was literally an hour and a half prior to my appointment. That was very unprofessional. I will not be dealing with any of the Greenburg offices. I will find another doctor.
Negative experience: We dropped this Dental facility more than 10 or 15 years ago, due to lack of bad service unable to set up appointments on the phone, and lack of professionalism with their newly trained staff. Unfortunately my wife decided to enrolled us again, and they still haven't got it yet. Beware make sure to check your billing statements periodically , Greenberg likes to add unnecessary procedures to your bill Always follow up with your dental plan insurance customer service reps.
Negative experience: I’m new to the area so I made an appointment here at Greenburg Dental due to a recommendation by someone at my wife’s job. Our appointment was for 2pm, we didn’t get seen until 2:40pm (mind you they close at 3pm). By the time the assistant finished X-Rays it was about 3:20ish BUT she was super sweet and knew I had anxiety so she explained everything and helped ease my anxiety. My wife and I were both seen by the same young rude doctor whose bedside manner was HORRIBLE. He was super young so clearly not in this field long and it shows. He dismissed our concerns & very arrogantly said “this is the way I’m doing it, do you have questions? Or are we done?”. Which is CRAZY. He also slapped me with a treatment plan where I would be paying over $10,000 for multiple caps not including the price of the root canals themselves. Mind you, my aunt works for one of the top dentists in NY and her boss said that they were clearly a “chop shop” and trying to make money because two of these root canals should be extracted and I would be wasting money. Then the receptionist was super rude and had a face like she was annoyed that she still had to be there which isn’t our fault that they were so delayed. Then when another assistant asked the receptionist if she was ok, she said “I live an hour away” with a stank face. It took all of me not to say something to her in that moment. Outside of that, the office was clean and the assistants were both really sweet. Either way, I will never be returning & am going for a second opinion somewhere else before getting anything done. Want my advice? STAY AWAY!!!
Fantastic experience: Excellent service by Dr. Ethan Silverman and Marisol. Nikki is also always helpful. I wish there was alignment between the front office staff customer service/telephone switchboard and the medical team in the back, which is much superior.
Negative experience: Horrible service. Long waiting time with no explanation. I left and was called back but ended up waiting another 25’ even though i told them i had another appointment right after and would only come back if they see me immediately.
Negative experience: My appointment was at 1pm and I wasn’t called to the back until 1:45pm which was a complete inconvenience. I was informed at 2pm that the doctor was still in oral surgery, so I had to leave because of other commitments and reschedule for my consultation. The people in the office are nice and kind but unorganized and willfully unapologetic about any inconvenience it may cause their clients if they are running behind.
Fantastic experience: I’m a military service member, so I looked around before deciding on a clinic. I’m glad I chose Greenberg Dental & Ortho in Altamonte Springs. I always enjoy coming this Dental Clinic to get my check ups & anything else I need done. The staff is always friendly & helpful. Pedro is the best! Hope to get my teeth cleaned by him again in the future!
Negative experience: Showed up at the appt at 8:50am for my 9am appt. Sat down was asked to fill out paperwork at 9:20am not when I arrived. Waited till 9:50 and still not called told them I had to reschedule because they are not respecting my time and I had other business appt this morning. If you have all day to wait they might be alright but my first time there was very disappointing to say the least. No sorry for the wait what we can do to make it up to you just attitude from the front desk as I was leaving. I guess I am just a guppy in a large pond of all the client they can choose from.
Negative experience: Very disappointed, the xray done okay but nothing after that! Never expected to get that low level of care and disappointed, over the phone they mentioned that $89 would be for xray and general checkup, ya dentist looked into my mouth for about 20 seconds told me what I already knew 100% and when I asked for price the assistant give me paper stating that I need to see another provider for deep cleaning located in the same office but first availability would be April, what? Then about root canal they give me price for crown which has to be after the root canal done by another provider and I need to pay $40 to see that provider to know how much what it was included when I called then at the actual visit ohh it's extra...., very disappointed I received zero care
Negative experience: You have to make your appointments 6 months in advance. Don't understand why you can't do a reminder text. You have no problem sending a text out for a review or a bill.
Negative experience: Had a dental appointment today and had a terrible experience will not be returning. I had. X rays taking paid for a cleaning and evaluation up front. I see the dentist who had no idea what was taking place, also I would add the most docile not happy to be here energy that We regularly see in the health care industry these days. He looks at my mouth for about 25 seconds and informs that I could not have a cleaning and would have to schedule an appointment with an orthodontist which on comes on Fridays. The fact that the dentist has a job to operate on one’s mouth you would think he would be more pleasant. Then as i Proceed to checkout to verify that all x Rays were sent to email, I was also treated just like another number at the DMV when I probed to ask questions on what kind of x rays were taken today. I would not recommend this office to anybody. It does not give you the feeling that these individuals are there for you health, safety, or concerns, almost unbelievable to believe that this low level of customer service with no attention to keen detail exist at a dentist office where people need delicate care and focus.
Positive experience: I am a long time patient who has had many appointments at Greenberg Dental. Beyond check-ups, I have had regular and deep cleanings, bridges and implants at the Altamonte Springs Office. The doctors have been excellent and the support staff generally helpful and friendly. Obviously, the dentistry is paramount but be prepared for 30+ minute waits and no WiFi or waiting room cell phone access.
Positive experience: My experience was great; the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. The assistant Jasmine was very nice and calming. Dr. Alvarez was very informative and caring. I would recommend this office to friends and family.
Negative experience: In 2023 I had an appointment scheduled with the periodontist. No one called to inform me that he was out sick so I drove all the way to the their office when I should’ve been at work so it was a total waste of my time, and I missed work on top of it. I called this month to schedule an appointment for a cleaning with a hygienist. The person scheduling the appointment did not tell me that I have to see the periodontist before I can go see the hygienist. I go all the way to the office and I sit there for 45 minutes this morning. Missed work to sit there only to have someone come to me after I’ve been sitting there for 45 minutes and tell me that I have to see the periodontist to get released to have my teeth cleaned. They let me sit there for 45 minutes. I will now be searching for a new dentist because obviously they don’t care enough about their patients to take care of them!
Fantastic experience: I had not visited a dentist for several years. I was very pleased with today’s experience. The waiting area was not lavish but was comfortable. My wait time was minimal. The staff are efficient and professional. The imaging was conducted efficiently on equipment that looked very up-to-date. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth was very thorough. The Doctor who came in to explain what needed to be done was very thorough and professional. The people I worked with on the insurance coverage were very efficient. The cleaning was exceptional. Overall the experience was better than I expected.
Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Greenberg for many years and have been seen at several locations. My last appointment was at the Altamonte Springs office and it was surprising, in a positive way. The dentist was attentive and listened to my concerns. The staff were pleasant, courteous and helpful. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
Positive experience: I waited 2 hours for a cleaning, positive note the cleaning was awesome. This is not my first cleaning there. The wait time is horrific, regardless of making an appointment. No respect for time.
Negative experience: The dentists and their medical assistants are excellent and courteous. However, the administrative front desk and phone message services are abysmal and poorly managed. Calls go unanswered, follow up is nonexistent or poor, and the staff abrupt and rude. The dentists and medical staff constantly apologize and have told me everyone says the same thing. You have an operation’s nightmare. I will not continue at Greenberg.
Positive experience: I had confirmation on my phone for my appointment, unfortunately the office did not have me on schedule. I waited 2 1/2 hours for them to fit me in. The staff was wonderful do not understand where the error occurred. We live an hour away. Posted by Mariles Hodge
Fantastic experience: Dr. Kamyar and their team provided an exceptional dental experience! From the moment I stepped in, the atmosphere was calming and welcoming. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, making me feel at ease throughout the entire visit. Dr. Kamyar‘s expertise was evident - they took the time to thoroughly explain each procedure, ensuring I was comfortable and informed. Their gentle approach and attention to detail made the experience painless and stress-free. The clinic was pristine, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and modern equipment, which further added to my confidence in their services. I highly recommend this dental practice to anyone seeking top-notch care, expertise, and a genuinely pleasant dental experience. Thank you to Dr. Kamyar and the entire team for their outstanding service!
Fantastic experience: 1/4/24 Dr. Lawson was very quick and I love that! I had my x ray ready and tooth pulled within 1 hour! I love it! Dr baker did my root canal and Angie was the best! They both were very thorough and I got it done within 1 hour!
Positive experience: I went there for another opinion for my painful tooth. They were all very nice but I kind of felt rushed and was told multiple times to stick with my current dentist. Kind of weird. Guess he wasn't interested in attaining new patients.
Positive experience: My daughter was scared of the dentist due to prior experiences.Dr Harrell did a great job making she the medicine set in and my daughter was comfortable. She say she not scared anymore. Thanks, Dr. Harrell team. The last start was due to a long wait time got there at 1030 left at 130
Negative experience: Dr. Lenee Harris was an excellent dentist. She was fast, and efficient. The hygienist we saw initially for our exam and cleaning was so sweet, and so patient and she was VERY friendly. They fit us into treatment for a filling same day, within an hour and a half. They ARE VERY BUSY. THIS IS EXPECTED WITH A PEDIATRIC DENTIST. The office ladies are very busy and have four computers PLUS for scheduling and billing. That is insane to me. They were nice and efficient had us in and out within two hours for exam, treatment (And i had to drop off a youngest child so account 40 minutes of travel time, and the time i missed our names being called). It;s a loud office, and busy so make sure youre paying attention to your name being called! 2023 updated: The quality of the dentists at his location has declined and the care we have received. My son came into the WP location (you can see my review over there) of June 2023 and he was told he was fine. Turns out his pain he was feeling was a failing filling given along with the fact he has a severe underbite and we should have been at the orthodontist two years ago. They have an orthodontist on staff there! So it’s beyond me why they didn’t send us over to them. Missing opportunity for fillings and now we’re paying the price quite literally for their failures at the dentist office. They have had a sharp decline in the last 2 years. avoid at all costs.
Negative experience: 3 trips from the Villages, $40 in tolls, $30 in Gasoline, 9 hours of travel and 6 hours waiting in the lobby and was never seen by the Endodontis or Oral Surgeon!! I should send This practice a bill!! Thanks for all the expense and I still need my painful tooth extracted! The receive Negative 100 stars-000000 I had to mark one to post this comment
Negative experience: Been a patient at Greenberg for over 8 years and today I Went for an Exam one of the dental assistant name Lily was talking bout me in Spanish and I stayed quiet . We then proceeded to do a 2nd X-ray where she placed the bite lock in my mouth but it was uncomfortable so I tried to tell her but she was irritated and apathetic . After I was seen by the dentist he had left the room but I had some more questions so I ask Ms. Lily if she can get me the doctor when she done so I can ask a few more follow up questions I Was Denied the option to ask the dentist himself. She states your my patient whatever you need to ask him you can ask me , So I ask her I wanted to know if I can get a prescription for the pain while I wait to see a specialist (Perio & Endo ) she instantly say no cause you don’t have a cavity but that was inaccurate . I then insisted on speaking to the doctor himself, She left the room and came back with Dentist DR . KAMYAR ALIZADEGAN who instantly chose the nurse side without getting my side blaming me and says why do I hear you arguing with my staff and states if you make my staff uncomfortable then im uncomfortable and denied me the services I had paid for . I allowed the nurse to speak without interruptions and ask the doctor can I tell you my side & attempted to explain what happen she rudely interrupts me 3 times and walked out the room . He then say I gotta work with my staff everyday so I will not treat you. He Was Very Unprofessional and made it clear that Right or Wrong the patient side does not matter and that’s not right .
Negative experience: I made the appointment in a couple weeks ago. I told him insurance I had when I get there the doctor see me is the only person who takes my insurance. Now I have to do all the legwork to get into the other doctors they recommend that I go see and they don’t take my insurance. I have to get referrals from my insurance company.
Fantastic experience: The dentist and assistant were very helpful and attentive. I love to bring my daughter here. They have the best equipment and tools to make her appointment as pleasurable as possible.
Fantastic experience: They were able to get me in first thing in the morning for a dental emergency. I had surgery in the same office within a couple of hours and the staff was so nice and accommodating. Highly recommend!
Negative experience: The wait was awhile but the dentist Dr Silverman was thorough and his helper was very sweet and Dental hygienist was very nice! But the time from the exam to her was 40 mins , The staff is not helpful they won’t book appts to far out so you have to remember to call Them 6months from now for an appt and when you call they never answer the phone ! I got there at 2: 45 pm and didn't get done until after 5 :00 pm! They way over book and never seem to have enough help ! Really thinking about a new place its so frustrating waiting so long and having to take off work and they never see you on time !!!
Fantastic experience: Once I get to the office, the staff is very nice and caring! But to get hold of them by phone is a different story, nobody answers, even the message you leave at the recording machine; I already complained but it's useless....
Fantastic experience: Years ago, in general, it was a good experience. The lady who did my cleaning was great. Everyone was polite and efficient. Dr Pham was excellent in all aspects: professionalism, ethic, courteous. But Dr Pham is no longer with them, and TODAY November 6th, Dr Alizadegan refused to treat me because I did not want XR. I explained that Dr Phan allowed me to have XR every two years. He did not try to convince me or to explain his need for XR and simply opted for denying service even when I accepted to have XR. He said that he "did no feel comfortable treating me." Very unprofessional dentist who is not at Greenberg's level of service.
Fantastic experience: Dr. Pham is so a perfectionist! I’m so happy that she was the one who fix my dentures! I really with my eyes closed recommend Dr Pham. Also, all the people who Are in that office are so nice and care for you that you simply feel secure. The only problem is the phone line, always busy. But all the staff are so nice and comfy that you don care if the phone lines are always busy.
Fantastic experience: I came in with an emergency and I was very, very nervous. Everyone, from the front staff, Dr. Lawson, and the several staff members that got me through my appointment, were all so professional and compassionate. They knew exactly how to get me calmed down and they did! The procedure was close to painless, and I left there in just over one hour. I was so relieved and grateful. Altamonte Greenberg Dental is a beautiful facility with a staff to match! Thank you to everyone that helped me that day! Continued success and may God bless you all.
Fantastic experience: I walked in without an appointment for a follow-up on an extraction that I thought might have issues. I checked in and was promptly seen within roughly 15 min for X-rays and consultation with the oral surgeon that performed the extraction. Everything was fine. The Doctor patiently answered all of my questions and reviewed my x-rays with me. I know that this organization has had less than stellar reviews but my experience has been great, attentive staff, competent doctors, prompt service. That’s for a crown, cleanings, an extraction and routine work.
Fantastic experience: They get you in quick, x ray, and the doctor comes right in. I had to have surgery, had to wait all of 45 minutes. Surgeon did a great job, quick, calm, professional. A little painful, but I had an abscess, my cheek was swollen. Broken tooth and a bad one next to it.
Negative experience: Been going to this office for 20 years. Never again! I live a baseball hit away from this office, making it convenient to walk from my home. The front staff, who are young kids dressed in black have no social skills in interacting with the public. I felt like I was a bother. Apparently, the front desk clerk didn’t check me in correctly. I waited almost two hours for a cleaning, while they called everyone back. My appointment was for 7:45am. I do that intentionally, so I don’t have to wait long. Another person was called, I got up to let the gentleman pass before I was ready to leave; and the dental assistant who called the gentleman had the nerve to tell me to, “relax.” I was appalled by the lack of professionalism.
Fantastic experience: I cracked my tooth and needed an emergency appointment. I was able to get there early and they were able to take me rather quickly. The doctor and staff were all very pleasant and accommodating. They made a terrible situation tolerable and helped me with all my question rather than rushing me out the door.
Negative experience: Appointment was at 12… by 12:40 when we hadn’t even been called back , I went up to front desk I was told I was ‘ next’ but from there would still be longer than a half hour. We had another appointment at 2pm. We waiting another 15 minutes and ended up leaving without ever being seen or called back.
Fantastic experience: Yes I had to wait a while to be called back but things happen. The reason I am giving 5 stars is because Kayla, the dental assistant was so patient and kind with my dramatic son. She informed us both on what she was doing and why to make us both feel comfortable. She was excellent! Thank you, Kayla!
Negative experience: I don’t normally leave reviews because I feel if you can’t say something nice, then don’t say anything at all. However, I have been displeased for years and going to Greenberg Dental for years since I moved to Florida back in 2003 - lots of changes! For initial appointments, you have to call multiple times, but when you are in the office and you see the staff sitting around chatting - that is not professional or caring about the patients. Not sure if the phone calls go to a centralized area but they need to be answered and this recent appointment was the first time in years that I got an appointment confirmation text (I was shocked). Secondly, my appt was for 7AM; I waited and wasn’t seen until 7:35; that’s not good either especially since I scheduled it early in order to in-N-Out in order to get to work. Thirdly, the intake staff in the office need customer service training. They do not greet you with a smile, a “hello how can I help” nor if dealing w/a customer already when you walk in, they DON’T say ”we will be right with you.” The only reason I’ve stayed a customer is because I really liked Rosie, the hygienist. Now that she’s no longer at that office, I will most likely be looking for another dental facility. This office needs a lot of improvements and I see there’s not that many people in the waiting room as it used to be, so I’m wondering if they’ve lost many other customers.
Negative experience: Scheduled appointment I arrive 30 mins before and they had me waiting for 45 mins during my lunch brk from work. After I finally get up to check what’s going on, front desk receptionist says nobody told her I was there, customer service is non-existent at this place and it wasn’t this bad a few years ago, also if you call, they never answer the phone, return your call 2-3 days after, but when you go there they have 10 plus people at the reception, earlier that day, they did the same thing to my wife and she had to reschedule her appointment. Time to switch dentist.
Positive experience: Had to wait 50 minutes to see the dentist in spite of having an appointment and being there on time. Had a cleaning scheduled after the exam. Was going to wait and thanks God I asked. at this time found out the cleaning had been cancelled since I was referred to the Periodontist. Think I need to start looking for a more personalized practice
Negative experience: Took the day off to take my son to his appointment. Doctor called in sick! Rescheduled for a later date at 7am so I can make it to work on time. I have been waiting 50 minutes and my son is first on the list. Obviously doctor hasn't got here yet! I use to come here all the time. Never again. They suck!
Fantastic experience: Thank you Altamonte Greenburg for all my dental needs. I have attended here for over 15 years and have been treated with exceptional service whether it was a major procedure or a minor one. The staff is so friendly and the knowledgeable… Thanks again for your exceptional service!
Negative experience: This office tried to bill me for installation of a crown with a billing code of D1111 that is not on the ADA (American Dental Association) fee schedule. The treatment plan list the billing amount of $715 with insurance for the D1111 but the self pay price of $500 was listed for the same D1111 code. In addition to the $715, there was additional charges for the crown installation which brought the total of $944 for each crown. The Dentist claimed I had to get 5 crowns which total $4700 including the non-existing code of D1111 per Greenberg’s pricing with my insurance vs the total amount of $1145 for billable coding approved by insurance company. When I tried to question the 2 office staff about the pricing, one acted like she didn’t understand what I was talking about and the other staff just said that is the doctor’s fee then brush me off. I left it alone until I was able to speak to my insurance company and gather more information about my benefits. When I called my insurance company and did my own research, both of us found no billable code of D1111. According to my insurance company, there is no separate dentist service fee and the codes on the treatment plan should include the dentist fee. The insurance rep states the dentist office is obligated to review all coding with the patient and a form must be signed by the patient acknowledging they’re responsible for all non-billable code which Greenberg never had me sign for the D1111. When my insurance company called Greenberg to question why they was billing the non-existing code, they did not answer and my insurance company left a message requesting a call back. Before I was given the treatment plan with the bogus pricing, 2 appointments for other services was already scheduled which one happened to be the next day after my insurance left a voice message for the Greenberg office. A voice mail message was left at 8:30 am the day of my appointment cancelling my 10 am appointment stating the dentist call out sick which I didn’t realize was left until after I went to the Greenberg office. While at the office, I tried again questioning the non-existing code of D1111 but was told the coordinator wasn’t there but I believe that was a lie. The receptionist who was interacting with seem to think the coordinator was there but another front desk worker claimed the coordinator was not there but the receptionist looked a bit confused. This is when I decided to remove myself and my kids from this office due to the deceptive billing and the lack of not wanting to resolve the billing issue which means I could never trust anyone at this office. Please watch your treatment plan pricing especially if you have insurance so they don’t try to bill you for non-billable services or overcharge for services. Before starting any treatment, please call your insurance company to make sure each code is billable and to confirm your copay responsibility. I would never use this office again due to them trying to bill me more than what I obligated to pay with insurance. Not a good business practice or ethical to overcharge a patient!
Fantastic experience: I have always been treated well at Greenberg of Altamonte Springs since the time I used to be cared for by Dr. Barrett, and now by Dr. Collier. They have some of the latest equipment and their office staff is friendly. I admit, I was afraid of dentists but the doctors at this office have always listened to my concerns and try to be accommodating to my requests when doing any dental work. I like them for their honesty and for not pushing me into getting unnecessary procedures or services. The technicians and hygienists take pride in their work and they are friendly too. Update 07/2023: Dr. Silverman and his team continue to provide me with dental care at this location. They are the best!
Fantastic experience: I had my first root canal and I was very nervous. The assistant was wonderful and made me feel better. Dr. Baker took care of my tooth and the experience wasn't too awful, however, I hope to never need another root canal.
Negative experience: I have been trying to make an appointment for weeks. I call several times a day and leave voicemails no one ever returns my calls. I left a message with the emergency call service and received no call back. I tried to make an appointment inquiry through the website form and received no call back. Literally nothing from no one ever! I like to go back to places where I have history and don’t have to explain or take more unnecessary X Rays but at this point I’m heading somewhere else. Disappointed.
Positive experience: Front Desk Receptionist on the left with pretty red hair was very pleasant. Wish there were many more like her. Great people skills. Dehtal Assistant could have been a bit nicer. Many coming into a Dental office are not always going to be chipper getting any dental work done.
Fantastic experience: My baby had to get 6 teeth pulled out and they did a great job with everything.
Negative experience: I’ve called this place six times and no one’s ever picked up the phone. When I finally came in they wanted to charge 863 dollars for just a crown, the lady couldn’t tell me how much a root canal was because she “has no idea.” Mind you I have 2 insurance plans. Oh but wait there’s a 500 dollar “cosmetic upgrade” charge for a root canal and crown that no insurances will pay for and a 100 dollar 3D dental scan that- you guessed it, no insurance will cover. So there’s an extra 600 magic dollars that come out of thin air that have no real correlation. Please avoid this place.
Negative experience: Very disappointed with this office. I recently had an appointment for annual cleaning and exam which insurance covers and I was charged a $5 office visit which according to office staff was something new with my insurance. The code was listed as an “observation fee- with no other procedures performed”. I have been with the same insurance since 2015 with no changes- I have compared my benefits from previous years. I called insurance to day to find out that they never received this code D9340 on their claim- for this “observation office visit”. It is not listed at all on their claim, and I confirmed there had been no changes with my insurance covering my annual and cleaning. I was shocked because I received an itemized listed with this code and the $5 charge. They never answer the phone- it is constant phone tag until you get someone. They insist this is an insurance thing that “started this year”. Again per my insurance company no changes, nor did they see that particular charge on the claims submitted to them - all the rest of them yes for exam/X-ray and cleaning but not my “observation fee”. Why all these additional fees all of a sudden? Plan to submit a grievance with my insurance company against the company. One thing if it were true… another when my own insurance has no idea what I’m talking about! Hoping for a call back tomorrow or will have to go down in person to see if someone can help. Be aware and review your bill make sure there no additional side fees.
Fantastic experience: My experience of having extensive dental work done over multiple visits was very positive. The work was done well and very professionally. The staff are personal, friendly, and helpful!. They were accommodating to my needs, and seemed to go the extra mile. Overall, they helped make the dentist a more pleasant experience!
Negative experience: I had an 8 am appointment today for a cleaning. At 8:30, the front desk said that I could not get a cleaning until I had a deep cleaning that is not covered by my insurance. When I made the appointment I was never given this information. I wasted my time and was late for work for no reason. I will not go back here. The wait tines are ridiculous. Last time I was here I waited 90 minutes. Patient schedules do not matter to them.
Negative experience: I have been a patient at this office for very long time . I really like the dentist assistants I went today with tooth pain as and emergency and although I was as to come in today the dentist decided I was not enough to be treated as one because during his exam he didn’t think I needed . The next appointment was in 2 weeks . NO ONE addressed or ask me if I will be ok no one .or if my pain was under control until then.I was inform I need a crown and a possible root root canal . Here I am at night in pain , not able to sleep and worried that my tooth will cause and infection . We really have to do better than this and stop treating people like machines in a production line . Pain should be addressed as soon as possible. I understand the kind of stress that cause but my pain was never addressed . Very disappointed .
Fantastic experience: They were absolutely so kind and generous. Being in a lot of pain, I had no choice but to take my little one with me to the appointment and they treated her so well and helped me get through my appointment with her screaming and never once made me feel bad. They were fast and efficient and I’m over all appreciative of this office.
Fantastic experience: I was very pleased with the service received. Everyone was courteous and comforting. The staff was friendly and professional. The office was clean and spacious. The wait time was good. I had a good visit. Thank you.
Negative experience: I have been here more than once to bring my kids. The only problem we do have are as below 1) long wait time, this time we waited about 1 hour 2) there is no signal for the phone ( I guess because of location where the building is ). They should at least provide free wi fi for patients , it is very important
Negative experience: Absolutely horrible. I can't wait until I can find a new dentist office. I had an appointment today for a general cleaning at 10am. At 11:15, I asked one of the office staff how much longer it will be. "You're next up." Nope. 30 minutes later I was still sitting in the waiting lounge. How do hygienists get backed up TWO HOURS by 10am? Finally, I walked out. This is by no means a one-off. Every single time I go there with an appointment, I know I'll be waiting 20 minutes *if I'm lucky*. Usually 30 minutes or more. This office constantly either overbooks, or understaffs. Either way, find another dentist.
Positive experience: The doctors are mostly very good, but the reception service and the communication with administrative staff leaves a lot to desire. Try to talk to the reception personnel, you should be lucky if you get a sincere attention or an eye contact. Oct 2022: That was a year ago. It has become better now. March 1, 2023 The chairs in the waiting room are very dirty and the dental chair has a broken arm rest. I think the facility lacks proper maintenance and repairs.
Fantastic experience: I literally pulled up on them with no appointment asked if they could please help my son with this pain he's been feeling, and in less than 3 hours (remember no appointment ) they had him taken care of and both my son and I left super happy. Thank God for you guys. Idk why it's so hard to find something like this in Lake County
Fantastic experience: I had a tooth bothering me. I called left a message and they got back to me next day. Schedule for the following day. Had a cleaning and discovered I will need a crown. I booked it right after the consultation. Everything was fast and no pain. Prices affordable.
Fantastic experience: Although the wait can be long even with an appointment. The care is great. My Dentist Dr Silverman is always kind and patient. It’s hard to not have some panic during the procedures. He talks me through it and my smile is better for it.
Fantastic experience: This was my sons first ever dentist appointment (he’s almost 6), my appt was at 1:30 and we were brought back at 1:32. Talk about fast, you barely ever get that! The assistant was so sweet and patient with my son. I was nervous for it being his first time but he truly felt comfortable and it was a breeze! The dentist came in and was very nice and informative as well. Overall very pleased and we’ll be back for his follow up appointment in the new few months! Thank you!
Negative experience: While the front staff is nice and helpful, I waited over an hour for my 5 year old to be seen. He was nervous and scared. It was his first time at the dentist. When it was finally our turn- nobody has really explained anything to him or what they would be doing. When the dentist came in, she wasn't friendly and flat out told him he needs an extra tooth removed, and will need surgery.... essentially scaring my son. I just wish there was a bit more bedside manner. The entire experience will make it difficult for me to come back to this location for my child. Thankfully his oral surgery will not be in this office. My dentist in this office was great, although we did wait another hour and a half. However, I am an adult and know what to expect.
Negative experience: This dental office took great care of my son when he needed it, but refuses to pay what they owe me. In April my son had dental surgery and I paid the full amount as requested. Soon after my dental insurance company informed me that my portion of the payment was approx. 30% of what I paid. After two calls (May and June) to their billing department and no responses, my insurance company sent them letters requesting I be remitted my money. After no response to that I guess when I have enough free time I can go to small claims court and go that route. Quick to take money and unresponsive to give it back. Perhaps a member of their billing team will see this and respond. (EDIT) 1/23/2023 I forgot to update that late last year I took the time to go to the office to actually get my refund, it was done there after someone at the office was able to reach the accounting person via their phone system. I am happy with the resolution I got which is what was owed to me (which was put into a credit on my account for next time visit unbeknownst to me) but the process to get it was ridiculous.
Positive experience: Dr. Baker did an amazing job - was patient, efficient and just plain polite. His assistant (I belive Mr. Jesus) was amazing. He was kind and very accommodating (hospitable). I left very well cared for and serviced. I would definitely recommend Dr Baker and his assistant to others. If he had a stand alone practice I would have given 5 stars.
