Negative experience: Given four stars because of the wonderful dental assistant, other than that the rest goes downhill. First, due to my insurance, I can only receive fillings oy when pregnant, which means I cannot lie on my back for long periods of times. During my fillings today I was positioned on my back far to long for the late stage of pregnancy I am in. The dentist seemed to have been a rush to finish a lot of the work due to crunching timelines, which is understandable, but I had to take several rest periods in which she seemed irritated that I had to do. I would suggest staff or days of the week for pregnant patients who are in second or late pregnancy be accommodated with proper times and staff that are well trained/informed and who are capable of showing patience and compassion to their pregnant patients and the care of their babies.

Negative experience: I had the worst experience in all my life by the dentist who put on a crown. I was so man handled during this procedure. Had a huge bruise on side of my mouth. Their hygienist staff are great. Their office staff is one turn over after another. Calling them for an appt is a nightmare & I usually NEVER receive a call back even if their answering service notes my info. I commend this business for their going above & beyond to become dentist's & start their own business. This being said, I actually felt that I was being discriminated for being white. I get this attitude, I grew up around it but I have never delivered nor desired to discriminate another. EVER!

Fantastic experience: Ms. Nancy at McRae family dental is such a joy to work with! She did the “Idero Scan” on my in test to be sized for my retainer and mouth guard and it went so well. She was gentle and knowledge of all of the equipment and she made me feel cared for. Thank you Nancy!

He will not have you spending unnecessary money, but will give you quality work to last a lifetime! Sheena at the front desk knows EVERY patient by name as they walk in and that is important to me! The dental hygienist my babies got was upbeat and so patient and caring for their cleanings and my son had to get a few fillings and Dr. Popescu was so incredibly patient, sweet, and understanding. The staff and Dentist that works within McRae dental facilities, treated me with a very professional and caring as well as knowledgeable dental work. I am very grateful for Shenna the VA, coordinator and Shelia that work very hard to get my treatment plans pushed through the VA Community Care. Negative experience: I'm sorry but honestly felt ignored the entire 4 years I've been with Dr McRae's office. In my previous experience my dentist have kept me aware of preventive dentistry - cleanings etc. Dr McRae's office has never called me in for a cleaning. I honestly assumed that because my upper teeth are are crowns and my lower teeth are pretty much non-existent because I am a serious grinder, that my teeth didn't need or deserve cleaning??? Time after time I have gone in to ask what can be done with my lower jaw I have no teeth?! What can I do? A couple years ago it was an $800 snap-on smile. Then it was $12,000 in Bridge and dental work. And most recently this week it was $19,000. I was given that quote this week because I went to Dr McRae's office with dreadful pain on my lower jaw. I saw Dr.Popescu who sat with me for an entire 15 minutes. She didn't do x-rays all she did was probe to see which tooth was hurting more than the rest of them. She then sent me home with pathetically low prescriptions. I say pathetically low because my daughter who is a nurse questioned it and then today when I referred my own self to another dentist, he questioned it. This is what happened. I called on Wednesday and got an appointment for Thursday at 11:00. As I said previously I had a whole 15 minutes with the dentist. She did not take X-rays, she simply sent me home with prescriptions. I was then and continued to be through Friday in pain. I had the option of talking to her after 2:00 but before 3:00 because she was leaving. Shape prescribed different antibiotics and pain meds. At this point there was pain from Wednesday through Saturday and I had to call out work on Sunday because nothing has been resolved. I FOUND MY OWN REFERRAL TO ANOTHER DENTIST. And requested that referral be processed to McDonald and Manus. Dr Jimenez saw me this morning. It took him 15 minutes and x-rays to determine the tooth was severely obsessed and had to be removed. It is now 4:00 on that Tuesday and I feel like I'm walking on a cloud . The truth has been removed and already it is amazing relief. I was actually in tears beyond the pain because I had just gotten this job, and because of Dr.Popescu's lack of knowledge or professionalism I'm not sure which, I had to call out on Sunday missing my second day of work on a new job. If I had continued to see her I have no idea how many more days I would have to miss. But thanks to Dr Jimenez and his staff I feel 97% better and will be able to go to work tomorrow. In the years I have gone to Dr mcrae's office typical waiting was at least 45 minutes. One time it was 90 minutes I was still sitting in the waiting room and said I'm sorry I've got to go so I had to reschedule the appointment I hope that when you read this review you understand the stress that I have gone through -- needlessly to go to work tomorrow.

Negative experience: If I could give this place a negative 10,000 I would . They've literally gone down hill within the last 5-10 years . They have the longest wait times just for ur teeth to not even feel clean . Both locations broad St, and Epps bridge are horrible the staff is rude at the Epps bridge location especially the so called manager " Mathew McRae iii very unprofessional. I do not recommend this place if you want to be treated nicely and with respect just awful.

Positive experience: The doctors and dental assistants are amazing, they do a great job and make sure you are calm. However, it’s time they they get a new main front desk associate. I was told that since I needed extra services to calm down (sedation gas) since I was getting an invasive procedure, that’s I HAD to stand at the desk and put in a review and couldn’t leave until I finished. And when I asked for a receipt she lied and said she was going to send it through text and never did, just because it was at the end of her shift. She needs customer service training bad, It’s sad that she makes the company look bad.
