Negative experience: I was a patient for 4 years, and only after leaving did I disocover how grossly they were overcharging me. Moreover, the service was abysmal. I had a root canal done here, and it was done so poorly than I had to go see an endodontist twice - once to get it redone, and a second time to get an apicoectomy done. And all this, after spending over $1400 even after insurance and many more thousands over the year, not to mention my family. I've been with a new provider ever since, and they make me pay a fraction for all similar services. Moreover, I had my entire extended family visit here prior, and after discovering how much we were being overcharged, all of us have switched to another dentist who is not as stringent, provides better service, and available more often. I cannot overemphasize enough how badly the root canal was done - had they simply informed my guardians at the time that typically these procedures were performed by specialists due to the myriad of complications that may arise, I would not have had to pay an extra $4,000 even after insurance to get the procedure redone by actually trained specialists with experience performing root canals. Save yourself the time, trouble, and worry, and look for more competent practitioners in your area, like I and the rest of my family have. No idea how they haven't been called out for this already

Fantastic experience: How many people can say, "I love my dentist" or "I love my hygienist"? Not many! Well, I can honestly say I love mine! Dr. Alemis and Iyad are my super team! And the office manager Meerim makes you feel very welcome and comfortable!

Negative experience: I visited Oak Lawn Dental on two separate occasions and during my appointments, I asked twice for a full quote for treatment on both sides of my jaw to apply for a loan, but my requests were ignored or treated like I was stupid—not taken seriously at all. The experience felt more like a car dealership than a healthcare provider. On my second visit, I was explicitly told I owed nothing, yet I later received a bill. I’ve since found a 5-star dentist who provided better service at a lower cost.

Negative experience: This is a horrible dentist office!!! Please BEWARE! They pulled my tooth knowing it was severely infected and kept giving me antibiotics because my face was so swollen and my eye closed and mouth twisted. I ended up at the emergency room. Went back a few days ago to get partial fixed the said I owed them $300 from a treatment plan that I didn't finish, then $220 for the visit with Xray as I stated didn't need it only wanted partial fixed and not to mention I had to add that to the total. Well they stated if I paid them $179 plus $220 for the visit/Xray then the cost to get the repair was the only way I could get it fixed. Mind you no one else will fix what another dental/lab has created GO TO HELL FAMILY DENTAL!! I'm sure that's why they always have new staff

Negative experience: I really wanted this experience to be better than the review I’m writting. Here goes, Friday I had a terrible toothache. I contacted the office for an emergency appointment. Gratefully they told me to come in a few hours later. Upon my arrival the front desk staff were superb. They were all professional and welcoming. After some X-rays Dr. Chris comes in and tells me that I would have to wait until Monday to get said tooth extracted. Keep in mind my pain is a 100/10. I was very disappointed. He told me I should have come yesterday when the surgeon was there(what?!!) . I consistently had to advocate for myself. Telling him about my pain. His solution was antibiotics and Motrin 600mg every 6 hrs as needed. I was so upset because what was this emergency visit for?!! Fast forward to today. Monday, surgery day. The surgeon was a sweetheart and was able to extract said tooth. After a 1 hr the numbness wore off so I took a Motrin and Tylenol. To no avail, it did NOTHING! I called the office back and asked for something else. I was told there is nothing else and this is there standard practice. There is no individual care. It’s a one size fit all. That’s absolutely horrible! They have to do better. I am completely aware that I am going to have discomfort how ever l shouldn’t have to have unmanaged pain. Totally not cool. Will I go back? - I have to. They have to check thier work. After that is in the air. Those sweet women who run the office are truly the show.

Negative experience: They are awful. You’re a meaningless human to sit in there chair. Completely unorganized and a new treatment plan every time you get something done. Robbed me blind took out old fillings that were fine telling me this and that it’s all a scam. Went in for a tooth they said needed a root canal and it never solved the pain. Refused after finishing never left with out paying 200.00 to 500.00 out of pocket as they kept saying insurance won’t cover. Wouldn’t replace the tooth they took out to have room to do root canal and lost my papers and med clearance at least 4 times. Complete Money making rip off and back to the same tooth hurting and crap filling coming out and at the end as they made me broke would not even bond the tooth i asked about before treatment that they said they would. Would sit in waiting room 30 min past appt time then in exam Room for ridiculous amount before being worked on. Did every X-ray the 15 year old way uet stress they have panoramic … yet when i asked no one was trained to do it. The owner is an ignorant air bag and the staff is afraid of him. Never would l return or recommend this place any longer of his places . Then after I said please stop calling me about another cleaning they sent letters . I had a cleaning and were trying to get me to pay for another as oh my insurance only pays for one as i had it 4 months prior . I had to request my number be taken out of system

They have a good team that keeps you updated and on track with appointments,it seems like a lot of newly grads are hired that know what they’re doing . Isabella was a new staff who took her time but also was quick with taking my x-rays for my teeth. I do recommend making this your new dentist home if you’re looking for a new one as an employee or a client .
