Fantastic experience: Good morning, I walked into the office and was met by the pleasant smile of your office receptionist. You checked me in and told me what I was being seen for which was a crown replacement. I asked if she could find the cost and she did. I was then welcomed to the back by the dental assistant and she offered me a warm blanket and a neck rest. She was warm and pleasant and made feel at home, "comfortable" I shared a problem I was experiencing she was sure to relay my concern to the doctor. The doctor investigated the concern and came up with an excellent solution. Finally, the procedure for my dental work was as painless as can be expected. I always have a positive experience at Temple Dental Trails and that is why I drive up from Houston to get all my dental work done there. Your office is both professional and friendly.

Negative experience: I went here because of all of the good ratings, their billing is horrible. They canceled 2 of my appointments and then I had to cancel the third appointment and they sent me a 1700 bill for missing that appointment. I am having to dispute this with the credit company now. Miss an appointment and they will charge you because that is exactly what they did to me. I like the dental staff and have gone and had some teeth worked on, I told my parents to check them out. My parents went there and used their insurance, Temple Trails did not submit it to the insurance company till a YEAR later. They just got a denial of payment due to untimely filing. My family will not use them again. They have created a bunch of extra work for us.

Positive experience: I absolutely love the dentist and hygienists here, they’re the best out of all of my years of going to a dentist. I would give a five star rating if the billing was better. I’m always told that I owe way more than I actually do and that I will be refunded if it’s less. Every time I only owe about 50% of what they tell me I owe when I call and tell them that I’ve received my EOB and I need a refund. I’m always told that they haven’t received the check yet from the insurance and have to make multiple calls to keep checking to see when they’re going to issue the refund.So today I called the insurance after speaking to someone at Temple Dental trails and being told again that they had not received anything from my insurance. According to my insurance they sent an electronic Funds Transfer on May 21 and it was showing that it was received on their end. This billing practice was not a concern for me when I was still working and had discretionary funds. But now that I’m retired and do not have discretionary funds it is an issue. My insurance also stated that they were not contacted for an estimate prior to Services, but according to the dentist office, they always do that. Billing practices could be greatly improved.

Fantastic experience: This is the only place my boys will go to. We have tried other dentist, even pediatric dentist. The staff truly takes the time to make the boys comfortable and they have patience with them.

Fantastic experience: The Temple dental trails clinic was super clean and had the most professional and accommodating employees. From the front desk staff, to the hygienist and the doctor, they were all extremely nice and explained everything very clearly. They had a reasonably priced treatment plan that worked with my insurance. The hygienist Sutton was the absolute best! She was the sweetest and explained everything and answered any questions I had. I would 100% recommend to anyone!!!

Positive experience: I have only had one experience so far, and I would definitely recommend. Dental hygienist was thorough, yet gentle. Dentist was friendly and knowledgeable, and the facility was very clean and modern. I did knock one star off because I have been going back and forth with insurance, so I checked with staff beforehand whether or not I would be paying out of pocket, and they told me no. Then after they had taken x-rays and finished my appointment, they told me that I did have to pay some out of pocket. Technically the issue is with the insurance company, but 4/5 because the communication could have been better about the charge beforehand.

Fantastic experience: This place is very welcoming and quick! I came in for a cleaning and I was in and out in 30 minutes. They are not pushy like some dental offices I’ve been to. They even give you a pillow and blanket while you watch Netflix and get your teeth cleaned. Would 100% recommend Temple Dental Trails! p.s. I love the chapstick that comes in the little goodie bags!

Fantastic experience: This has been the best dental office I have ever been to! Imaging and technology is updated with the newest and best ways to approach dental care. With imaging came extremely knowledgeable dental hygienists and providers who explain WHY things are happening. I came to this office needing a second opinion on some dental work. Not only was my condition explained to me in the best manner, we made a shared decision to approach my care in a more conservative manner saving me money and reducing my risk factors for developing further complications. Today I feel great and I’m glad I came! Your comfort is their priority so there are several practices they do that not all dental offices care to implement. For example mouth rest while you get work done, blankets, and TVs. All these things make a huge difference in your care.

Negative experience: Had dental work in this practice. Was given a budget. After everything is done and complete, they sent me an additional bill >800. They ignored my attempts to communicate about this issue, even after sending a certified letter. Very disappointed. Will have to find another practice

Fantastic experience: First visit here and really appreciate the professional staff and transparency! I was interested in teeth whitening after my cleaning and they talked me into some over the counter options before taking the plunge on more expensive in office treatments. The monthly plan is a big bonus too!

Negative experience: Waited a while before they could get me in as a new patient only to get a call the day before explaining they REQUIRE new patients to get a 3d scan, which my insurance doesn’t cover so it was going to cost an extra $40. Never have had a place require it, and to find out the day before felt like I was trying to get trapped into keeping my appointment. Nope. See ya later.

Fantastic experience: There's a lot of 5-star reviews and all of them are definitely legit and real; this is a great dental office. I am the CEO of a multinational technology company based in Austin, Texas but my family & I live in Temple. I am a wuss. Certifiably. Yet Dr. Rich and team get away with re-arranging my teeth somehow pain-free. I think it's black magic, but it works, whatever it is, so I don't question it. So, if you are like me, a genuine charlatan when it comes to even a paper cut, this is the right place to go for your dentistry. Caring, compassionate and (for me) painless. Usually, the downside of small towns are the limits of dental and medical facilities. Dr. Rich & team changed that landscape in Tanglefoot (Temple's original name). I have had everything from a post-op visit from maxiofacial surgery to veneers to extractions to crowns. I'm pretty sure I've had everything on the menu of dental services without any pain. If Dr. Rich renamed it to "Temple Dental Buffet," I have already had everything with second helpings of a few items and he had did it all without making me cry my face off. That's impressive, and it's kept this 50-year old guy's dignity.

They are very knowledgeable, informative, respectful, and work well together as a team. If you have any anxiety about going to the dentist, the staff here is calming and encouraging!

Fantastic experience: Just updating my review - I left one 9 years ago (also a positive experience then!) when I visited the practice once for a second opinion, but have since returned as a patient! Dr. Newton is the best dentist I have ever had hands down. She is kind, caring, and goes above and beyond. I have a suspected facial nerve issue, and she has been so kind and caring throughout this and personally called me today to check on me and give me some recommendations. When I have seen her in office, she has been thorough and has the best bedside manner. I could not recommend their office highly enough!

Negative experience: Last 2 dental procedures failed and had to be redone by another dentist. When I called to speak with them about the issue, I was told there was no guarantee of the work done. Since work has been done so soon, insurance didn't cover any of it, resulting in a large bill. They also randomly changed the times of my son's orthodontist appointment and failed to call and let us know. When we arrived for the originally scheduled 4:30 appointment (had a confirmation text as proof), we were told the orthodontist had already left and we would have to reschedule. Very poor communication. Happy to have switched from them

Fantastic experience: I hadn't seen a dentist in probably 4 years (I told them it'd been two to save face but I know they could tell) because of crippling dentist anxiety, fully knowing every dentist I've seen in the last decade (all two of them) want to take my broken teeth from me and fix my smile. This visit was exactly what was expected, but the staff were so welcoming and understanding of my anxieties, they were able to talk me into parting with a broken tooth I've had for ten years right there on the spot. I now sit here with a hole in my mouth and an equal, if not larger hole in my heart missing my dear tooth, but I know deep down it was the right decision and they helped me get there today. Of course as we parted ways they wanted to put me back on the books for a cleaning in 6 months, which I eloquently dodged, but you know what, I'll probably make that appointment and not wait years again so long as this is the group I'm seeing. 5/5 Review. Would let them take a broken tooth of mine again.
