Positive experience: Unfortunately, my dental insurance changed to Aetna. Dr. Lang's office does not participate with this insurance. Aetna will pay but not for the complete bill. Therefore, complete payment for routine cleaning dental work was expected at time of visit. On the previous routine cleaning I paid $64 ( this was the part my insurance didn’t pay). This visit, I was expected to pay $354 (complete bill) due to yearly X-rays. This was not communicated til the day of visit. Then, when a request to reschedule was made due to lack of funds a cancellation fee of $100 was expected. The office manager got involved, and an agreement of $150 was made to be seen with an approximate estimate of my portion. Unfortunately, due to dental insurance issues, my family and I will have to seek out a different dentist. I pay for dental insurance through my employer and routine care should be free. It’s a shame that health care is so expensive for average people. Other than insurance issues, I love Brandi and Dr. McClung.

Fantastic experience: This has got to be the best experience of going to the dentist that I have ever experienced. Everything from the front desk to the medical care was more than I could have hoped for. My anxiety was through the roof going to a new dentist but this experience was calming and assuring. I highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: I really appreciate Dr. McClung, Kris, Brandi, and everyone who took care of me today. They give you advice on how to care for your teeth, and ask questions to make sure you understand how to do it. Oh, did I mention the staff you meet as soon as you come in the front door? They're all so friendly, & down to earth. The relaxing music also adds to the warmth of my visits. Thanks for all do for us!!

Fantastic experience: Dr Kelly is so patient and accommodating. She listens and makes sure you feel comfortable. Highly recommended if you have any kind of anxiety.

Negative experience: They will bill you for things you do not owe, argue with you and promise to remove the cgarge. 2 months later they send you a bill with the same error on the bill. Be careful to check your bill! Then we wonder why insurance keep going up..crooks like this

Negative experience: I was very disappointed today! I had an 8:50 appointment and was running a little late, ran into a little traffic. They call me at 9:00 and tell me i will have to reschedule as they have a ten minute rule. I've visited their office many times and have sat for over half hour past my appointment time, they wouldn't even consider that. They insisted that i would have to reschedule although I was 3 minutes away. Ive spent thousands there and thats the consideration i get! Im through. I will find another dentist.

Fantastic experience: I had 3 teeth extracted on 5/12/25. I was kind of nervous because this was the 1st time i had a tooth remove and I was awake. I just felt a pinch were the doctor numbed my gums. After that, no pain. I was advised to take pain meds when I got home. I did and today I feel just find. They made me feel comfortable during the process. The doctor told me everything that was happening through the entire procedure. I'm very satisfied.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hello is saving my teeth! Pervious to seeing Dr. Bello my dental care was very neglectful. Since establishing care with Dr. Bello she has been very thorough in taking the steps nessecary to save my teeth. She takes the time to explain my specific situation. Everytime I go in she ensures they have the adequate time needed to provide the right care for me!

Positive experience: It was my first visit here. Everyone was kind and professional. Only “issue” was the picture taking process. The room I was in didn’t seem conducive for the pics as it was very small and I had to do a lot of maneuvering to get the shots done. Other than that, the Dentist who saw me, Dr. Kelly, was very knowledgeable and had good “bedside” manner.

Negative experience: They cannot find my daughters insurance and I don't know why when I gave them the card number and the information before I came in the building. You guys should have told me you couldn't find her insurance before I came up there and I would have never came in the building

Negative experience: They charge you before they do any work and then turns out the equipment for xray wasn't working but was happy to charge for it before hand. Staff is mostly nice in back of house front of house not so much.

Fantastic experience: I am so happy that I found Dr.Steven Lang and his staff. I had a toothache called on Monday and they were able to see me on Tuesday morning. When I arrived the staff was very professional and friendly I felt like I had been going there for years from the way the staff welcomed me. I saw Dr.Kelly (I just love her she is amazing) they did X-rays and check my teeth and told me what needed to be done we already knew the tooth that was giving me problems needed to come out they had someone who cancelled and told me they were able to pull my tooth right then I was so happy to know I would be out of pain. After I was numb my tooth was pulled and I felt nothing. Dr Kelly explained to me step by step everything I needed to do and set my appointments for my future dental work. I can’t say enough how amazing the staff is and they make you feel like family love them and they will always take care of my dental needs. Fantastic experience: I went in today for a cleaning and I had a credit that would cover a fluoride treatment so I had that done also. Everything worked out great. Fluoride helps protect from cavity. No other dentist has ever done that on me. I'm all about preventive measures. They are the best at offing the best with all aspects of mouth/teeth. I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have never had such gentle and thorough dentists. Their professionalism blows my mind. I've always had pleasant dentist experiences (Thank you, Jesus for teeth that don't need a ton of work cause I couldn't handle it) but I think even if I had bad experiences, this would be a game changer. Despite having good genes with teeth, I still hadn't been to the dentist in like 3-5 years and I was nervous removing the plaque would be painful. I hardly felt it. They used water to remove most of it and only scraped when necessary. They also felt and looked at my tongue, cheeks, thyroid, and lips. I feel really well cared for here. ❤️

Fantastic experience: I recently had an appointment with the lang dental practice located on Portsmouth Blvd Portsmouth , Virginia after two years of not going there because of not knowing how to navigate my dental insurance through Medicare. Only to find out that I didn't have to wait for two years to go back to the only dental office I was familiar with,I was very happy to be back , tectacally I was considered a new patient when I went back but I was treated the same as If I hadn't left ,I couldn't be happier to return back to the only dental practice I had grown familiar with. Fantastic experience: I must say that it had been years since I had been to the dentist simply because the last visit wasn't the greatest from the service to the staff it was awful so I dreaded making another appointment, had I known my visit to Dr. Langs office on Tuesday Aug. 20th at 3:00pm was gonna be so awesome I would have definitely scheduled years ago. From the moment I walked in the front door the receptionist team was very helpful , not just helpful to me but to their co workers as well, the professionalism and kindness and outstanding work ethics really stuck with me the rest of my day even after leaving the office, I was given oral x-rays and a dental debridement both ladies where exceptionally outstanding they made me feel real comfortable and relaxed explaining everything that would be done and why, the office was very clean and welcoming , I felt the coworkers bond in working together to satisfy each patient, it was so noticeable and genuine that I said to myself I would love to work with this group in this office. They Love people… The Lang sisters are absolutely wonderful, will brighten your day, and want the best for your mouth :) The Hygienist Brandy is top notch and so personable, she has me rolling laughing half the time. Negative experience: Very unprofessional office staff member. I called to dispute a bill received for a service that I declined. The office staff member got upset when I stated my opinion of the unprofessionalism and hung the phone up on me. I will be filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau. If I can’t be treated with respect they don’t deserve my business.

Negative experience: 0 stars if I could. Scheduled a dental cleaning when I arrived the hygienist stated it should have been coded as a deep cleaning but did a regular cleaning instead so basically the job was left unfinished. My second cleaning which was six months later, I arrived and the clerk stated they cancelled my appointment due to an emergency. Horrible practice that I would not recommend. So many other great local practices, save your time and money.

Fantastic experience: I had to change insurance so I was able to select a new dentist office. I chose Dr. Lang's offices. I just returned from my 1st visit. I was seen by Dr. Kelly and her staff. What a great experience! I haven't had that much attention to my teeth and gums in several years. They were very knowledgeable and professional. I was also introduced to the office manager, Ms. Lee. She was very efficient and knowledgeable of my insurance coverages. I am so glad that I made this change! I am not going to mind having to go to the dentist in the future! Although I hated what they were saying to the point I almost fainted, they were great. The doctors that worked on my mouth were so gentle and informative of their process.
