Fantastic experience: I left Dental Center to go to another dentist that was close to where I live. After my first visit I realized I had made a mistake. I didn't feel at home and the customer service was not the same as the service I received at Dental Center Jax. I have returned and I am happy that I did. Sometimes you have to travel little in order to receive great service. Dental Center of Jax offers great service. Doctor Patel and his staff are amazing!

Fantastic experience: By far the best Dental Practice I have been to. I would add an extra Star If 6 stars was an option. The entire staff made my visit extremely comforting and pleasant. Everyone had a smile on their face and the kindness present just seemed to fill the air. Not to mention how skilled and knowledgeable the staff are! So happy to have found this practice!

Negative experience: this place is horrible, the dentist is very rude, he over speaks when people are talking or will cut you off, his helper has a smart mouth, she ask me how do i not know what is going on with my mouth, when im not a dentist, and the reason for my appoint is because i have pain on a bottom tooth not a top, the head doctor comes in and says pain comes from the top to the bottom tooth.....oh really but your smart mouth helper dont know that but given smart mouth about not know what is going on with my mouth, 3 weeks later i still cant open my mouth or eat food normal. they will over charge you and keep money on the account without saying anything, i went 2 times and they claim end up haven 75 of my money left over on the account, then another 80 another time poor business practice money hungry dentist

Fantastic experience: Dr Patel is a really wonderful doctor and this is a great dentist office to come to as I was really happy that I found them a while back through Google reviews and definitely would recommend anyone coming here. Very honest and patient doctor and only does what is necessary to help you. I'm just very disappointed to learn in the last several months or more at some point that his office stopped taking my insurance now. Which I guess is all HMO plans. I have really wanted to see Dr Patel again and have had a very difficult time finding another decent dentist with great reviews short of one near my home which does not accept my insurance either. I cannot afford to pay out-of-pocket very much at all. My coverage was 80/20 with my insurance that I have now that his office no longer accepts. More and more dentist offices are starting not to accept this insurance now. Now I am left in a Lurch for the time being and not sure what to do. Although I am grateful for what he has done for me in the past I'm very disappointed of the situation that has occurred and now have found myself without a dentist. Also, a lot of the other dentists that I have looked at reviews for seemed to have very bad practices when it comes to handling insurance and billing, being dishonest and not upfront with you. I'm sure realistically for most folks that the payment plans that Dr Patel does offer are not bad, but under the circumstances I myself are not able to necessarily afford that either so it leaves me in an awkward place. All the while paying for another dental insurance monthly that I can't get any use out of which pays the majority of the bill when seen at his office.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Dr Patel's dental practice for about 6+ years and each appointment has been above average. Beginning with the front desk staff, especially Helin, who always has a welcoming smile and demeanor to the dental hygienist, Ms. Shweta, an expert at her job and Dr Patel who by far is the best dentist I have had in my life! My teeth have never been healthier from the care that they receive from this office. I always receive the best health advice and leave satisfied with a brighter smile! Ms. Shweta is very professional, patient and knowledgeable about all things teeth. She has given me invaluable advice that has become part of my daily routine. She takes her time cleaning all your teeth and listens patiently to all questions that one has. Ms Shweta is a blessing to that office and is an excellent hygienist, don't walk, run and book your cleaning appointment with her today!!! Dr Patel is always willing to listen as well to any concerns and offers the best path to resolution for your ailment. I have had a couple of procedures with him and have been issue free for 6 years! Helin is genuinely one of the best people have ever met and her smile lights up the whole room. She is very warm and welcoming, especially for those of us who are scared of dentists! She has allayed all my fears and ensured I was ready for my appointments by reassuring me. I may not know everyone's name buy I have always had positive experiences here and I highly recommend this office to anyone looking and not looking for a new dental office, you will not regret it!! Just remember that you ALSO have to take care of your teeth to benefit from a good dentist and ensure all advice provided is applied consistently.

Fantastic experience: I have been with Dr. Patel for several years, Dr Barbel since he joined the team and am now getting to know Dr. Shruti. I recommend all three doctors because for one, they compliment each other in their area of expertise, and yet have they same patient, attentive and aim to please attitude; meaning, they listen to your concerns, examine the reality of your condition and make sound decisions with your voice and approval included. I must say, it took me to leave and come back because as a believer and a person who gives as much grace as I seek in others, although the staff was stellar, I had concerns about the experience and skill of the procedure at hand. However, with open communication, assurance and follow ups (along with trusting to grow with them, because who wants to start over with Doctors for any reason), I was able to see my expectations of a beautiful smile maintained and accomplished; I now securely entrust these doctors with my care. I've been with the same Gynocolgist for over 20 years now because of the quality of care, and I am confident that The Dental Center has the same qualifications to be a life-timer as time passes too. They accept you as you are when you come into the clean and friendly atmosphere and give you hope of a better smile when you leave. Fantastic experience: I have been going here for 4 years now and every experience has been wonderful! Staff are all so sweet and welcoming, the facility is clean, and the dentist is very knowledgeable. They have worked with me on numerous occasions to help me get the work I need done for teeth in a timeframe and budget I can manage and give me realistic expectations regarding what needs to be urgently done, versus when timing is better for me. All the dental hygienist are so sweet and do a wonderful job. Also, the dental plan they have for people with no dental insurance has been HUGE for me the last 4 years, I finally have true dental insurance and will still continue to use them. I have recommended other friends to this practice and will continue to do so.

Fantastic experience: Dental Center of Jacksonville, Jacksonville, FL I highly recommend this dental practice! After a week of struggling with nerve pain, my husband called and scheduled an appointment for me immediately. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the doctor was very knowledgeable. It turns out I need a root canal. What stood out most, though, is that they didn’t pressure me into additional services. They accept PPO dental insurance, though unfortunately, my husband and I won’t have insurance until April. They made every effort to assist with financing options, and I want to emphasize that they didn’t attempt to upcharge. In fact, they did everything they could to help make the procedure affordable, despite our current financial situation. As soon as we have insurance, I will definitely return for the root canal, and we plan to schedule appointments for my husband and daughter to have their teeth cleaned as well. I also want to mention their impressive high-tech 3D imaging system, which I had never seen before. It was amazing and really added to the overall experience

Fantastic experience: I have gum disease and sensitive teeth.Over the years, several different dental hygienist have deep cleaned my gum pockets. But Sweeta, at the the Dental Center is the best hygenist that has cleaned my teeth. Since she had started cleaning my gum pockets, the depth of my gum pockets have decreased. Because of my sensitive teeth, I used to flinch when having a deep cleaning. Sweeta noticed this. Even though I brushed with Sensodyne it wasn’t up to the task of desensitizing from deep cleaning. Sweeta recommended a prescription toothpaste for sensitive teeth, the first hygienist or dentist to recommend it. I no longer flinch and actually enjoy the hi-powered water jet blast remove plaque,and debris from my teeth and deep down in the gum pockets . It actually feels good because my tooth brush or water pik can’t power wash that far down. So I thank Sweeta. Also Dentist Dr. Patel inspects my teeth after every cleaning. Six months ago He pulled out my infected molar. He gave me the necessary sedative and monitored my pain tolerance as he removed it. Helin and Ailen are the two service members at the front desk. They are very attentive and set up my appointments. I have never seen them not smiling or be in a bad mood.

Fantastic experience: Front desk staff, (Helin?)was very helpful. I had to stop somebody else (Shweta? on lunch break?) to help me on the electronic issue with filling in the forms who went out of her way to get it resolved. Later on, the electronic tool was not cooperating with me so I had to get help again. One of the staff, a charming lady, sat down with me guiding me till the last page was done. Blame this on COVID creating signal shortages due to internet traffic and clashes. Let me tell you to be prepared filling in the patient information questionnaire because it is quite explicit and detailed. I was finally ushered in by Shweta, who introduced herself as the Dental Hygienist. Delightful is the way I can describe her. Very thorough yet thoughtful and professional. Too bad I was unable to capture the endearing impact of the smiles behind the masks. Shweta is the best Hygienist I’ve ever had and I’ve had my share as I’ll be 67 next month. Dr. Patel is the most personable and hospitable Dentist there is. Very likable and good natured Professional! I’ll be definitely recommending them to others. My hygienist today (Janki? not sure of name) was equally accommodating, polite, eager to please/help and very professional. This is a super nice place to get dental work done. I stopped writing reviews because it looked like it will just continue my previous review which I didn’t want to do. Anyway, this is for today’s service. Helin remains to be the star of the welcoming committee! 6/5/2023: My hygienist, Darshana, was super. She connected on a personal level, listened to my request and did a thorough cleaning, every tooth received a tender, caring and loving treatment. I told her that I lost weight from what she took off of me. Hahaha. I look forward to my next cleaning. 6/11/24 Darshana truly gave me a super good thorough cleaning. I feel my teeth and mouth are spotlessly, smoothly and shiningly clean. It made me want to have more frequent cleaning. Thank you so much for a very friendly attitude by all the staff. The team always provided the right treatment plan and was very careful when removing my wisdom teeth and even checked on me the very next day and I specially thank Dr.Patel went above and beyond by conducting a postop after 2 weeks. During my recent visit for cleaning I had pleasure of meeting Dr. Barbela. Their expertise and chair side manner immediately put me at ease, and they even performed a filling during the same visit. From the first young lady to greet me to the last goodbye - everyone in between was SO friendly and professional. Dr. Patel really put me at ease. Fantastic experience: This is the place to go in an emergency. I had such a great experience that I plan to go back regularly as my primary dentist. I had a wisdom tooth that became irritated and needed to come out asap and Dr. Patel took care of it in 10 minutes. I started to feel lightheaded after the procedure due to not being comfortable with blood and the doctor and staff member sat with me until I was able to feel better. Thanks so much!

Fantastic experience: I recently broke an old crown and went to the Dental Center to have it taken care of. The staff was super and I was well pleased with the care and immediate attention I was given. One of the assistants, Z, was extra nice. He talked to me and explained all that would be done and went over the pricing with me. His happy demeanor helped me be calm and the procedure went perfect. I couldn’t ask for a better experience when having to deal with a dental emergency. The Dentist and his assistant were also awesome. I’ll never go anywhere else for my dental needs. All their equipment was state of the art and they are conveniently located on Phillips Hwy. not far from the Avenues Mall. Thank you, Dental Center, for your excellent care!

Fantastic experience: The anxiety I’ve experienced in dentist offices completely disappeared with this visit! Every single person I experienced was kind and seemed genuinely happy to help and very empathetic considering I was there for burning my mouth! The environment was calming and comfortable as I filled out the paperwork online. The dentist himself was incredible and put me at ease! He did not judge me or belittle me and encouraged me to come back for a cleaning that I haven’t had in years. I will wholeheartedly recommend this dentist to any and everyone forever!

Negative experience: Personally, I don’t recommend this dentistry just because I have really good dental insurance and I’ve never had any issues with getting any of my dental work done or claims processed, but when they require your full payment upfront before they run your insurance that puts a real bad taste in my mouth as not everybody in this world right now can afford to do and then have to wait to be reimbursed. My husband is active duty and instead of running the insurance they wanted me to pay over $600 upfront for a crown to be made instead of running it through my insurance first so I went to a different dentist and immediately they got me back in they ran my benefits and told me exactly what I owed out-of-pocket instead of making me pay The full balance. then I had let them know because the military gets paid very differently and on my husband‘s payday, they called him saying oh we heard you got paid today we need the balance paid in order to do your wife’s crown to me. That is a little disrespectful and rude. I have never met a dental office that is more worried about payment than they are making sure the patients aren’t out of pain and feel better as they were unwilling to work with me, besides waiting for my husband‘s payday to show around so if you’re looking for a dental office recommendation, please check out Aspen dental In the St. Johns town center they are easy to work with and will make sure you leave happy and they will do everything you can if you are not able to get financing done they will still work with you regardless Update Regardless of what you wrote, Dr. Patel it’s still very discouraged and I’m pretty sure the insurance companies would love to know that you’re not running insurance until well after payment is received upfront not everyone in this economy has the money to pay your fees that you require when people carry health and dental insurance for a reason I will let United concordia know so that this doesn’t happen to another military family

Fantastic experience: I had been in pain for over 2 weeks. I'd been to 2 dentist, in that time and they could do nothing and being the 3rd, Dr. Patel took out the teeth that were literally killing me. Thank you and to your hard working staff for taking care of me. I will always be grateful.

Positive experience: The employees here were all fabulous. And I am sure the work completed is also fabulous as the equipment is modern. However this office wasn't the right fit for me because they wanted me to pay using their payment program. To pay cash was going to be about $400 extra for a crown. It didn't make sense to me and didn't feel right, so will have my tooth fixed elsewhere. If you are looking for an office that has a great payment program, this might be your place.

Fantastic experience: It was my first appointment at this office. Of course I brought my nerves and some fear with me as well as my prayers. I hate going to the dentist!!! I was greeted and invited back for intake immediately. After sitting for less than 5 minutes, I was in the dental seat. The area was very clean!!! During my procedure Miriam was very professional and constantly made sure I was comfortable. The procedure that I had was done with precision and quickness. It was a pleasure meeting Dr. Patel, Miriam and the office staff. Everyone was very professional and personable. Thank you all for a great experience! I highly recommend this dental care team!

Fantastic experience: Over many decades I have had horrendous dental treatment and trauma at a very high price. My first visit and for the first time since my childhood dentist I felt calm and like Dr. Patel has my best interest to help me correct past dental treatment.

Negative experience: Absolutely hated it here. I felt mislead by the good reviews. The second I stepped in the building I wanted to turn around but I knew they would charge my card for a missed appointment so I had to wait it out. The building was very bizzare like it was from the 70s or 80s. It has this crappy apartment complex smell that was off putting. The lighting was very dingy and uncomfortable. You have go go upstairs inside the building. Then in the actual appointment I think it was the hygenists first day because she had no idea how to use the equipment and kept dropping it. The x ray was pro longed for this reason. I was super uncomfortable having this woman dangle objects in my mouth while she figures out what shes supposed to do. When the doctor finally came he took one glance at my photos and said I was normal. And then when I told him my concern about a mouth sore he said dont worry just give it time. When I had a sore years ago, my previous dentist practice prescribed me a oral wash that really helped. Here I felt like he just rushed through patients. The worst part was the lack of privacy!! The patients dont get their own room they have a shared room with all the other patients! So weird! Im upset I wasted my time here.

Fantastic experience: Ok, this is serious the best dentist office in Jax! Sadly, we had to leave them due to insurance change. But my insurance changed again.....and we are THRILLED to be back with Dr. Patel & his staff. Everyone in this place is above and beyond kind! They are professional & prmpt too. No waiting for sges at this place! Let's face it, nobody loves going to the dentist, but this place will come close to making you love it.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this dentist since 2017 that I moved to Florida. I feel very fortunate to have found them and cannot recommend them enough. All and I do mean ALL of the staff have always been incredibly kind, attentive, and accommodating. They only recommend what you Need to have done and respect discussing all options. This is the first dentist I have been able to trust in my adult life. They truly care about the whole person and making sure people feel welcomed and happy with the services. The front office ladies have top notch customer service and the hygeniests and dentists are as well! As long as I live in Florida, they will always be my dentist.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Patel and his staff are far beyond amazing! I followed Dr. Patel from another dentist office because of his extreme and sensitive care he had provided to my anxious self! The entire staff including Dr. Patel, have a way of making sure you feel “at home!” I am a person that had stayed with my prior Dentist in Jacksonville from the time I was 18 until he retired.. I have been looking for another Dentist that was just like him.. And Dr. Patel has met all the standards that I was looking for! The office is beautiful and very well kept and VERY modern! Fantastic experience: I was going to a dentist that I trusted and love for the past 15 years, but he is now retired. I’ve been looking for a new dentist and was a little worried that I wouldn’t be able to find the great same service, however, I think I may have found my new home. Today’s visit was just an initial visit to get x-rays and pics but so far everybody have been great, friendly, and welcoming. I look forward to my next appt for cleaning and hopefully, some whiter teeth. Thank you everyone, especially for taking me on such short notice. I really appreciate it!

Fantastic experience: I know most don’t like going to a dentist, but this office put me right at ease. Everyone is very nice and so helpful. Dr. B. was very personable and easy to talk to.

Negative experience: Got 3 implants here. 2 are great, but then 1 is not. I'm miserable every time I eat. I have to always stop in the middle of eating and use a floss pick. One day I forgot my floss picks and was miserable. The implant placement is way off. There's a big gap on one side, but on the other side, it's really close to another tooth & this is the area I always have to floss in the middle of eating. I was told at the beginning that these implants would fix my smile line. Not the case with this gap. I should've known something was off when I wasn't given a mirror to see it before leaving. Next visit when I said something about it. "The lab can only do so much" is what I was told.

Fantastic experience: I had a consult today for a wisdom tooth extraction and it was excellent Dr explained the procedures before and after in simple terms. The wait was a little long but they apologized several times and i respected that. The Dentist made me feel very comfortable and at ease. I feel very confident going forward.

Fantastic experience: These guys were great to deal with they did a most professional job of thoroughly checking out everything coming up with a dental plan moving forward applying my insurance and then going straight to talking about a payment plan which was great because I just got done dropping 3400 bucks in my mouth at the last place... There was never any mention of payment plans or anything like that it was just $3,400 bucks or you can keep suffering. So I really appreciate these guys walking me through my options and setting me up with a plan to tackle everything that I need to

Fantastic experience: I was extremely impressed with the office staff and Dr. Patel. I had a not so good experience just two days ago at another office for my son where the communication was not great, things were not explained and it was a waste of my time. Well let me tell you- I will be going here with the rest of my family and this is my new dentist office. It’s a 45 minute drive one way, but I would drive 2 hours one way for this office. Best staff and dentist I’ve ever been too. Everything is streamlined fantastically, explained well so there is no confusion. My 7 year Old unfortunately has 6 cavities and Dr. Patel took care of 2 Of them same day due to the pain he was having. I can tell he truly cares about his patients. Look no further and book your dental needs here!

Fantastic experience: Best dental office I’ve ever been to! Went to them last year for emergency wisdom teeth removal, I was so impressed that I actually switched over to them as my normal dentist. Other oral surgeons had me on a month-long wait list for just a consultation even though I was in horrible pain and couldn’t even chew. The Dental Center of Jacksonville brought me in almost immediately and within a week I had my wisdom teeth out. Throughout the entire process every single person on the staff was extremely kind, sympathetic and efficient. A year later and I have had multiple routine cleanings and checkups and I am still just as impressed with them! I have recommended them to many of my friends and family and will continue to do so. So glad to have found them!

Fantastic experience: Let me tell you… Nadia was the most amazing breath of fresh air you can get and Dr B was exemplary at his trade. No question unanswered, and I appreciated their wonderfully friendly demeanor after a long week. Ruby, the woman whom cleaned my teeth for 2 hours was even more professional and I left this location the happiest I’ve ever left a dental appointment. Good job guys.

Fantastic experience: I just had my first visit and... wow, I'm impressed! The entire staff is pleasant and polite but Nadia is SO sweet and caring- she made my day! Dr. Patel is also very personable. It's so nice coming to come across people who are knowledgable and actually care about their job and the people they take care of! Fantastic experience: Incredible experience. I couldn’t recommend them more. The dentist was honest and kind. I went there for a second opinion and will now be switching over fully. My prior dentist didn’t explain anything to me and over-treated me. Save yourself the stress and please go to Dental Center of Jacksonville! They are amazing.
