Positive experience: Dr. Protain did a great job with my braces and always goes above and beyond, especially during setbacks. The team is kind and professional. I do wish the fees for existing patients were a bit more fair—like not charging full price if something breaks or need new retainers because a gap opened up shortly after braces. Still, highly recommend!

Negative experience: Honestly, this was the worst experience for me ever, they made me feel like all my concerns weren’t valid, especially during the end of my treatment. I kept complaining about my bite and how I felt as though it may be incorrect. All they did was continue to tell me “it’s fine, It’s fine, It’s fine”. I believe this is due to the fact that I am still a minor but respect is respect. I’ve just gotten my braces taken off the other day and I am now experiencing intense jaw pain. So with that, ive visited a new dentist who has been able to get to the root of all my problems and now I will be reporting everything to the State dental board. But I guess you get what you pay for, so have a good day everyone!

Fantastic experience: Diamond braces is a very good place to get your braces done the workers are very kind and quick with your braces the wait time is very short to see one and the actual appointment itself doesn't take more than 10 to 12 minutes and their communication is great, like the day before your appointment they'll send you a notification letting you know that you have one, all in all a very good place to get your braces done Update a few appointments later and here we are removing the braces! Amazing 3 years overall barely any pain diamond braces an amazing place to get your teeth done I'm satisfied with my result and you guys should give a shout.

Negative experience: I’m not even sure how diamond braces received 4.8 stars. If I could give them zero I would. Be prepared to see multiple orthodontist which will prolong your treatment. In my case I saw 5 different orthodontists (that had different visions as to how they will achieve a healthy smile) in the 5 LONG years that I was with Diamond Braces. Apparently this is a normal thing as I spoke to not one but two people who used diamond braces and experienced the very same thing as me or even worse (having a minor case but forced into braces for 10 years). They have a high turnover rate that leads to patients not only paying more money for extended treatments but dental complications. I’m paying a HEFTY amount elsewhere for their mistakes. Even after ruining my teeth, they expected me to pay extra money. Please be aware. I should have went elsewhere upon hearing that they killed my sister’s two front teeth at the Staten Island location but I was so eager to get braces and they were in network with my insurance. It also doesn’t help that Dr. Drut (the owner) is a walking joke and seldomly is in any of his locations. His former employees that I’ve spoken to can attest to that. Please be careful. Diamond braces has also had lawsuits against them for hiring orthodontists that aren’t certified. All in all the best Orthodontist I saw at Diamond Braces was Dr. Kim. I wish he would have been my orthodontist from the very first day as he was diligent and attentive. Unfortunately for both of us, he was my last orthodontist I saw at Diamond Braces out of many and at that point, the damage from seeing so many inexperienced orthodontist had already been done. Word of advice: don’t go to Diamond Braces and ESPECIALLY don’t go if you need any oral surgery. They don’t even have the proper equipment to do a 3D X-ray to ensure my roots are in the same place for surgery. I was sent to my oral surgeon’s office multiple times for 2 years because they had the equipment that Diamond Braces lacked. Remember people, multiple practices doesn’t equal quality service. McDonald’s also has multiple restaurants too. There’s a reason why the braces are on the cheaper end. You will pay more with your health or money later down the line.

Negative experience: I recently had an experience with Dennis, the manager and unfortunately, it was very disappointing. From the start, Dennis was unprofessional and seemed unprepared when it came to explaining the details of my agreement for braces. I left the meeting with several questions unanswered, particularly about the extra costs I would incur, which were not made clear to me at any point.I expected a thorough breakdown of the payment structure and what additional fees might arise, but Dennis failed to provide any clarity. When I asked for more details, the explanations were vague and confusing, leaving me unsure about what exactly I was committing to. This lack of transparency and professionalism was very frustrating.

Negative experience: I have to write another review because after finishing my Invisalign treatment, I did not know that diamond braces don’t use Invisalign retainers. Diamond braces make the retainer in house using substandard materials, very cheap and not durable. The retainers were broken within 6 months and then again within 1 and half years. Fantastic experience: Fast service great staff !! Update: ! 2/28/25 About 7 months and have had the best experience until yesterday. So front desk great as usual, sent me inside. As I walked over to a chair ,the lady stared at me confused so I told her my name . She says nothing... I put my bag down and sat down the lady still says nothing and hands me the eye protector. she puts the chair flat and began removing the wires or bands idk. Dr came checked and was also very polite told me what would be done to my mouth . The lady proceeded to removed the bands whilst still haven't even greeted me ....considering you will be in my mouth. She then used my teeth to turn my head instead of using her words to say "turn right" she then said "what color?" I chose and she proceeded to snap the rubber bands aggressively on my teeth . While still turning my head by pushing against my teeth and not asking me to turn 1st. I immediately opened my eyes because at this point I was about to get out the chair. Then she just stop working and went on the computer as I laid there. I had to ask her "Are you finish ?" She didnt even open her mouth she shook her head yes then as I got up she mentioned coming back in a month and asked me to confirm a time. I left there feeling so uncomfortable and had the worst headache from the rubberband snapping on my teeth. I have never felt when the rubberbands are going onto my teeth before so I know it was being placed aggressively. That lady wil never set foot beside my face again.

Negative experience: You get here early for your appointment, they tell you don't sign in yet but everyone else that comes in behind you signs in. Then they tell you to sign in so now you're at the back of the line. So everyone that came in behind you is now ahead of you and the appointment you had is out the window because 45 minutes later you're still sitting here like an idiot

Positive experience: I went to go get my bottom braces today and everything went great. But, my problem is with the guy at the front desk. He had such an attitude. My appointment was at 1:00pm and I arrived early at around 12. He gonna tell me that I am too early and I’m gonna have to wait because him and the staffs have lunch soon. He said it with such a rude tone. Like, um okay…… I was so confused.

Positive experience: So the overall establishment that is Diamond Braces suck including this one. The actual Dentist/orthopedist and supporting staff here are great but outside of the great care you get here from them, the account/management team here lack customer service and you can never get help for anything from billing to just general questions. You are basically on your own, you will not be able to reach anyone and get help with anything. You have to hope your process is smooth with no issues or questions because any speed bumps and you will wish you saw a private practice.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE!!! They are money hungry and will rob you, they do not care about patients. I had a gum infection which caused pain and swelling. I was unable to wear my aligners for 1 week which caused my teeth to shift back, no one told me I needed to keep the old aligners and LIANA decided to charge me an additional $1000 claiming that I was non compliant. I'm not sure how I was supposed to wear the aligners if I couldn't even open my mouth. Not to mention that my contract clearly states that up to 3 refinements were included in my treatment. Therefore I was NOT supposed to be charged at all. After Speaking with The director Denise, he tells me that it's not their fault that I had a gum infection and refuses to give me a refund. When I explained that the contract clearly says I have upto 3 refinements included in my treatment he then responded that I was not charged for the refinement I was charged for non compliance. Please Be aware they will find any reason to charge you additional money. That is what scammers do. Will be reporting them to the better business bureau. DO NOT GO HERE.. GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO SOMEWHERE WHO ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT PATIENTS. THIS LOCATION WILL ROB YOU.
