Negative experience: I hate to write this post because I’ve been with Mint for years- just at a Dallas location. I switched to the Garland location as it is closer to my location. Needless to say, I will not be coming back again. lol. I had an appointment at 3 pm. Waiting room was packed! I waited for 30 min before I asked what’s the hold up. Informed me that they are busy with both ortho and regular appointments. Reg flag #1. I was called back around 3:45. Did ex rays, screening, etc. By 4:10, I get a text notifying me that my appointment was pushed to 4:30 pm. I asked The hygienist what is this about. She said don’t worry. At 4:20, they tell me my hygienist will be with me in 10 minutes. At this point, the Dr came in and said we were good to go with a cleaning. 4:30 rolls around and I am notified due to complications with a patient, i will have to wait another 40 minutes before I am seen. Which puts me leaving the facility after 6 pm. They close at 5:30. At this point, i said This was unprofessional, a waste of my time, and I will never be coming back. I understand complications but you had an entire waiting room filled at 3 pm with people still rolling in 15 min til 4. This just shows me, y'all just over booked and mismanage your time. Gave them an hour and a half of my time with no cleaning completed. lol. I’m joust here to say, Just manage your schedule better y'all. Oh and also, know patients names. I witnessed Them getting a young females name wrong. And then 10 min later, call me by another name. lol just get it together and be mindful of peoples time including your own employees time. Respectfully.

Fantastic experience: Incredible! The staff was super sweet and helpful. Melanie, I think was the receptionist up front, was AMAZING! My boyfriend and I came in and she was super kind to us and patient while we sorted out some insurance stuff Love her!! Give this girl a raise for being so sweet during our visit! Not only was she amazing up front, but she explained the insurance paperwork at the end very clearly and helped me make a few financial decisions for the future Arianna (I think that's how it's spelt) was super sweet and fun too! She hooked me up with the free teeth whitening and was super helpful during the whole process She knows her stuff! She definitely deserves a raise too! She was super friendly and I loved my visit with her. I'm a new customer but I will definitely be coming back! Love this office and these girls!

Fantastic experience: I had to have a root canal for my first time ever today and I was definitely nervous going in. Dr. Partee and Khadejia were AWESOME though! They made the whole experience totally painless and everyone there front and back office was super nice and helpful. It took awhile to get everything done and people kept checking in on me, making sure I was doing okay, and again the work of Dr. Partee and Khadejia was just incredible. I've been a patient at this Mint clinic in Garland for several years and have always had good experiences but this one today was off the chart good. Thanks you guys!

Negative experience: This place is the biggest scam !! Stay away from All Mint location . I will be switching for me and my kids . I went to the city line location in Richardson in February and got a deep cleaning done . I just came To the garland bas pro location today 4 months later and they are telling me here that I need another deep cleaning ?!!!! I then mentioned I just got a deep cleaning done with them but a different location .. then they come back and tell me after speaking with that location and the orthodontist that I am right and now I need a periodic cleaning and it will be $167…smh.. so now all of a sudden I don’t require deep cleaning .. bunch of bs and they don’t want to just do a regular cleaning which is free under my policy and is covered for 2 cleaning a year. They just tell a bunch of lies and try to take your money .

Negative experience: I was never greeted or acknowledged by the gentleman seated at the front desk, his focus and attention was his computer screen. I finally asked could someone please help me. I could see some workers gathered around talking and looking at their phones. My appointment was at 2:15pm but wasn't called back until 2:40ish. My dental hygienist didn't even try to schedule my next cleaning. unlike all past dental hygienist have never let me leave without scheduling my next cleaning. Maybe that's a new thing, customer's call back and schedule at a later date?

Negative experience: Worst experience by any dentist I've ever been too. My appointment was set for 11a. I arrived at 10:15, I filled out the financial authorization, sat down and waited. At 12:05 I ask if they forgot about me. She ask my name again, I told she looked then said oh give us a few minutes and we will get you back. 12:20 they call me back, did a few xrays, checked my BP which was 190/100 (I was angry because of my wait, plus anxious about this visit) she said the dr will be in shortly. Dr came in advised me ill need a root canal blah blah blah, she said ill get you a referral...20 minutes later the girl comes in checks my BP again it 205/ 105 she said oh ill be right back 10 minutes later I said what is taking so long, this is why my BP is up, I'm leaving, I'm done. So i check out, she says when you come back this is what your insurance will cover. Never Again!!!!!! And no free teeth whitening as the commercial promises.

Fantastic experience: The appt I had today couldn't have gone any better. The staff was great and they made sure my visit was very comfortable and they were very professional. My dentist has been servicing me for a couple of years now and she is the best. She always does a good job and he has such a calming spirit which helps with my anxiety when I'm at the dentist. Negative experience: If I could give this dentist a 0 star I would! My daughter was literally crying in pain and they told us they couldn't do anything for her unless we had $1700. We have insurance. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone!!! Y'all are sorry for letting my daughter leave hurting the way she was!! I'm contacting your corporate office about this whole situation! Her tooth wasn't even hurting until y'all picked at it and then left her in pain for days!!!

Negative experience: I had been a patient at Mint City Line for over 5 years with nothing but good things to say. In the last 6 months, I changed to Mint Garland as it was closer to my home (still far). That was a mistake. Mint Garland off Bass Pro has long wait times, policies that will not allow you to opt out of X-rays if it is your first time at a new location or insurance changes. Even with insurance, cavities fillings are very expensive. In the time I was at mint Richardson I never had a cavity and all of a sudden I have 8 at this new location between 2 visits. I was also driving 30-mins to an hour giving mint another chance. Due to all these things, I am no longer giving mint my business and switching to a new dentist 5 mins from my house.

Negative experience: I had an appointment set for 4pm today I arrived at 4:12, this was my first time at this location and I had to uber there. When I arrived the lady at the front desk was like oh you can’t be seen and we close at 5 and we do not have a grace period. Me standing there in shock asking well is there someone I could speak with to possibly help me once again I’m straight off of work my shift ends at 3:30 and this is the latest appointment they offered. I frequent mint dentistry but this is my first time at this particular location because I just moved to this neighborhood. To proceed she then says well we sent you a text message telling you we don’t have a grace period. I have NEVER in my entire life been to any kind of medical appointment and a grace period was not offered. Then she says your appointment will be a hour and we only have one hygienist here today so we can reschedule. I walked out got online to confirm the hours and it states they close at 5:30 so I go back in to confirm what the hours say online and she stated yes we do close at 5:30 but that’s only to get the last customer out. Me still in shock because I’m thinking if my appointment is going to take 1 hour that still leaves time for the 5:30 closing. Either way I will NEVER visit this location again I will take my insurance and my money elsewhere. It was no care in the world from that lady she was just ready to go. Never again!!!!

Negative experience: Way to over priced if you asked me my claim they got in contact with my insurance provider about procedure. Called my insurance provider only to find out they gave me there prices they did not send over pretreatment to my insurance provider to know what they would cover or would not cover. I came in today to get a tooth that was in pain looked at and possibly either filled or extracted claim to be a one stop shop but they recommend you to other places. They are a scam my procedures runs 2914.00 said my insurance would cover 1725.50 and my out of pocket would be 1188.50. Asked about a payment plan showed me one and said I still would have to pay 1000$ out of pocket. They are way to over priced if you got it like that it's the place for you but for a regular civilian working on a income and have bills to pay this is not the place for you ,way to affordable and they don't even try to find ways that will help you pay the balance or give you any option.

Positive experience: Do not come here if you are using tricare. Called multiple times to ensure that my daughters and I were covered through our insurance. Received a text the day of our appointment stating there was an issue with the insurance. Get to the appointment, show the insurance card and the lady tells me she’s sending the information to the team to verify the insurance. A few minutes later she says we’re good . They then do the X-rays, pictures and my girls cleanings. Finally my turn and after she tells me the cost of the service I’m baffled bc why is it so expensive if you’re in network. I asked to confirm that they were in network and she checks to see , only to tell me that they’re not. I would have never come here if they weren’t in network. Please don’t waste anyone else’s time.

Negative experience: I’m sad to say this was the worst encounter I’ve ever experienced at MINT dentistry! After my x-rays and someone came to visit with me to say, I had to have a deep cleaning on two teeth in my upper right quadrant, I refused, and asked for a regular cleaning. They denied my regular cleaning and proceeded to tell me that I HAD to get the deep cleaning. I advised that that I don’t even know if I’m going to have a job and want to just at least get a cleaning. They said No and I my visit was over. The x-ray person was very customer service oriented!

Fantastic experience: I used to be skeptical about visiting the dentist after a bad experience two years ago, so I avoided them as much as possible. However, I recently noticed a strange hole in my tooth and knew I needed a cleaning and check-up. After searching online for a nearby dentist, I decided to visit Mint Dentistry. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with a warm smile by Melanin at the front desk. She handed me a tablet for paperwork and made sure I was comfortable. Shortly after, the dental assistant took me in for X-rays—she was incredibly kind as well. Then, I met Dr. Patil, who was calm, friendly, and genuinely caring. It was clear that, for her, patient care came before anything else. After my cleaning, I was advised to get a crown. Initially, I hesitated because of the cost, but the branch manager, Maire, worked with me to set up a payment plan that fit my budget. They proceeded with the treatment that same day. Islam, who assisted Dr. Patil, ensured I was comfortable throughout the procedure, which went smoothly. A week later, I returned for my permanent crown. During the waiting period, I was advised to see an endodontist to check if a root canal was necessary. Once Dr. Patil received the results, she scheduled me for the crown placement and root canal. Negative experience: This was the worst experience ever. All they care about is charging extra for everything. I took time off work for a cleaning, only to be told they couldn’t do it because I need prior authorization from my primary care physician due to a health condition. When I asked if they could call my doctor for approval, they refused, saying it had to be me since I’m the patient. So not only did I waste my time and miss work for nothing, but now I have to make another appointment with my doctor, get the authorization, and then reschedule with the dentist—meaning I’ll have to miss work again just for a simple cleaning. Absolutely ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Mint Dentistry at this location! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but they made me feel very comfortable there. Dr. Patel showed me pictures of my teeth and explained how I can improve my oral care. This was my first cleaning, and the hygienist did an amazing job. She was gentle, thorough, and made me feel relaxed. The office manager, Maira, was so welcoming and kind. Fantastic experience: I've had so many dentists in my life, but Dr. Deesha Patel is hands down the most skilled, patient, thorough, and efficient dentist I've ever seen! I came in needing three fillings and was honestly a bit nervous, but she was so gentle and efficient. She showed me all my x-rays and photos to explain all her diagnoses and reasons for needing treatment. She walked me through each step of the procedure. I didn’t even feel a thing when she got my teeth numb!! The entire process was smooth and her staff is so friendly and kind, and wonderful to talk to! Positive experience: The experience was okay. The staff was very good. My issue came from having to wait way too long to see the dentist after x-rays were taken, then having to wait even longer to see hygienist. Being in the chair over 2 hours for a cleaning is not acceptable. The other issue I had was the music that was playing. The profanity in the music was offensive.

Negative experience: I wish I could give them negative stars. Extremely unprofessional service. My appoint was at 8:45 did not inform me until I get there that my appointment has been moved to 10. Then did not have my insurance information on file although I have confirmed with corporate my insurance is good to go. Back in June when I got my teeth done, the technician at another location had to take multiple Xray shoots not sure why, so didn’t want to have to do extra xray this year. However, the office is forcing me to have to do extra Xray this time otherwise they won’t just clean my teeth. I wasted an hour sitting there waiting for them to verify my insurance, grab the Xray from their other office just to tell me they have to do another Xray or they can’t just clean teeth. Extremely incompetent if you can’t clean teeth without Xray.

Negative experience: Terrible about scheduling appointments and referrals. They rescheduled my confirmed appointment and I specifically said that I need wisdom tooth extraction as my reason of visit but after arrival they said that needs a oral surgeon and I know my insurance has good coverage and it doesn't require me to pay upfront. But the place they referred me to an oral surgeon required paying $200 upfront which didn't seem fair to me. So I chose to find a doctor myself. Check and make sure your insurance covers before going with their referral recommendations. Last but not least beware of their automated appointment scheduling after your first visit. They scheduled an appointment without my consent and they charge you $50-$70 if you dont show up. Don't fall in this trap guys. Take care.

Negative experience: I scheduled an appointment for tomorrow and when I called them back since I missed their call. I called right back telling them that I returning a call that I missed. One of the representatives could not find my appointment for tomorrow at 11am. She tried to offer me an appointment at 4PM. I turned it down. I had cleared my calendar for that day to only have to fill it with something else. I am done with them.

Positive experience: Wasn’t thrilled that they told me 11am was available today, then never even got started until about 11:45, then proceeded to have to resch due to a 1 hour + cleaning my treatment plan required. The chairs were completely full, no way they actually thought I’d be seen at 11. Besides that’s, extremely nice staff. Just do better with booking. People have schedules too.

Fantastic experience: myra was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in getting my dental plan set up! she exceeded the expectations that you typically have when getting your teeth cleaned. Negative experience: Terrible about scheduling appointments. I have been scheduled without being contacted or setting up an appointment. When I have had appointments scheduled they have either canceled them on me before asking to fit me in at another location or time or have asked me to come in at an earlier time and when I couldn't they changed the appointment anyway. Whenever I try to call them back to ask someone about the issue I never get to speak to someone at the office. They need to be more considerate of their patients time.

Negative experience: I have had the worst dentist experience of my life in this Mint location. When I arrived there for my scheduled session after a 40mins drive amongst my crazy busy schedule, the front desk insisted that I do not have a mint discount plan to receive the service I booked. In spite of showing them the proof of my payment, office manager Maria Dominguez said I have to pay once more for the plan to receive the service. Such an incompetent person, who could resolve this issue with a 5 minutes call with their corporate contact, should not be in charge as a manager, let alone a regular front desk agent. I will never visit this Mint location again and cancel my Mint subscription. This is the cost of an uncaring, incompetent staff. I hope the office manager incompetence is not an indicator of upper-management incompentence and a duly disciplionary action is taken.

Negative experience: Fraud advertisement. I came to them because they advertise that they are a one stop shop and have a dental plan for those without dental insurance. I paid the $140 for the discount plan only to be told I would be referred out to two other dental offices for extractions and validation if my tooth was healthy enough for repair. I spoke with management who couldn't say much other than she just works for the corporation. I asked for a refund and she said she could only give me $41, which is the cost of the plan. The rest paid for the exam and x-rays. This place is not what they advertise and waste your money and time by outsourcing.

Negative experience: Quality of service is poor! My first appointment with Mint Denistry (Garland) was in November 2022. I heard about them from an ad on the radio and thought this was going to be a reputable and great denistry. This is further from the truth. On my first visit I felt they were more concerned about my insurance than actually treating me. I enjoyed the dental assistant but the dentist did not communicate with me much. I got x-rays, dental cleaning, and preparations for a bridge. A temporary bridge was made that day and installed. I was told that I would get a call to come in to get my permanent bridge installed in a few weeks. After waiting almost two months, I called them to find out what the delay was. I was then told that someone needed to call me to make an appointment to go to another location to get the impressions for the permanent bridge to be made at a different location because the Garland location did not do the impressions for the permanent bridge. I got a call back that same day to set up the appointment and the location was almost an hour away. Anyhow, I was scheduled for an appointment in February to get the permanent bridge installed. However, when I showed up to the Garland location for that appointment, they had me booked for the wrong procedure. It was rectified and I was able to get the permanent bridge installed on February 15, 2023. Today is March 17, 2024 and the permanent bridge has fallen out of my mouth this morning while I was brushing and flossing my teeth to go to church. The bridge is located in the front of my mouth (two front teeth). I have tried contacting them on the phone as an emergency and the telephone prompts do not allow me to make an appointment or talk to anyone using the prompts provided for an existing customer with an emergency. I paid over $2000 out-of-pocket for this service because my insurance did not cover it. For this supposedly permanent bridge to fail at 13 months is scary! I will be in the office when they open in the morning. This is very unacceptable. From my first visit/experience with Mint Denistry Garland until today, I would not recommend their services to anyone.

Positive experience: Didn't like the overall service for a first time patient. Communication can definitely be improved. I was left in the room with no other directions given in terms of what service could be done the same day. I would've appreciated my procedure to be explained to me in the details provided to my husband when he asked as he was also confused. Choosing who you give your best service to doesn't make your customer/patient service any better. The service was rushed after xrays were done. Specially after having braces I wanted to see what options I had besides the other needed procedures. At the end of the day it's an outpocket investment for the portion not covered by insurance. Wish it was better, hope this can be improved moving forward.

Negative experience: Waited an hour to go back, then after X-rays it took 15 more minutes to be seen for exam. After exam I was told to wait for person to go over treatment plan and then cleaning would start. After 1.5 hours in there and cleaning not began I went ahead and left. Never had this experience at the dentist and I’ve honestly been to a few Mint Dentistry’s over the past couple years and they were all great until this.

Negative experience: Their communication at this office location leaves a lot to be desired. My appointment was not set up the way in which I asked and this resulted in an unexpected additional cost as well as a long wait time for the doctor. They never offer your complimentary whitening. You have to remember to ask for it versus them giving you what you've paid for. I paid straight out of pocket today for both a cleaning and a filling, and I didn't even receive a toothbrush to take home. Service does not live up to the marketing on those radio ads AT ALL. Subpar experience for the 2nd time.

Negative experience: I called to make an appt because I wanted to get my tooth filled that was hurting. They gave me appt at 2:30, I arrived 15min as instructed, waited for 1hr, had to go up to the reception desk to see how much longer the wait will be, finally got called back, X-ray taking which didn’t need because when I was at my last cleaning X-rays were taken, that when 2cavities were identified. Finally, dentist come in assess my tooth, explain some meat got stuck and I flossed the tooth started hurting. The plan given was to refill the tooth, receptionist came in to let me know how much my portion will be, I say ok thinking my tooth would get done right then but NO… I need to make a future appt to get tooth refilled. So I left with my tooth still hurting. No happy at all.

Positive experience: I had an underwhelming experience at Mint-Garland today. I was called back 30 minutes late for my 0900 appointment, the person at the front desk had already informed me that they were running behind. Next, the dental assistant seemed confused about which specific tasks she should be completing for my cleaning appointment. The dentist was kind but did not assess me. She only reviewed my images. Then, the hygienist came to start my cleaning. She seemed in a hurry. She was abrasive and rough. This cleaning was painful and I have never had a painful dental cleaning before. I do not plan on returning to this specific Mint location.

Positive experience: I had an appointment this morning at 8am arrived at 7:55. Walk in, front lights weren’t on it was dark in the lobby. I heard voices in the back, no one came to the lobby. Three people ended up coming in, we waited then around 8:03 three employees come through the front door. Two females came from the back to talk to the the employee that came in late. I was at the counter checking in finally, both of the ladies told the front desk person they will be back. They left. At 9:26 the lady tells me that they may call me in 5 min to the back. Me and another patient were left on the front the others were taken back after me but my hygien assistants left and I was sitting waiting on them to get back. Lol I left tired of people lying at their job be honest tell the truth. Wasted my time and late for work

Negative experience: I don't know what is up with this office, but the amount of time they will have you waiting in the lobby, waiting in the dentist chair, and waiting just to get a treatment plan is ridiculous. I loved the Uptown Mint dentistry location and staff, but this location is a hot mess. On THREE separate occasions, my husband and I have have found ourselves just sitting in the dentist chair for close to an hour wondering where the heck everyone went mid-appointment. One time I even went back into the room just to give him some company as the wait stretched on and on, and out of nowhere a dental assistant magically appeared to ask me to go back to lobby and finally got started on my husband's teeth. Can't make this up! If the Uptown location hadn't stopped accepting our insurance, we would brave the traffic and go back. This location sucks.

Negative experience: I’m very upset at this point with Dr. Patil for the way she treated my daughter. My child was very nervous to begin with and instead of talking to her to calm her down she made it worse! She went straight for the shots not explaining anything and then when she saw my child was panicking Dr Patil said she needs to go to a specialist! This is not a friendly environment to come to!! Not happy at all!!! And don’t bother saying you will forward this to management. I’ll take this to the BBB. I have read all reviews and this is the only response anyone gets.

Day of appointment: arrived at 9:20am to fill out some paperwork ahead of time. 9:30am: was taken to room 2 for my updated x rays and cleaning. According to the Dentist, teeth were great, no negative progress from the last visit. Out by 9:58am. Got some free sunglasses out of it.

Negative experience: First, my appointment was at 1:30 and I wasn’t seen until 2:08. Then we had the gospel in the front and Ginuwine in those jeans in your room. Non edited version hopefully they change it for kids. I doubt it. The hand held x ray machine needs to be changed. It look older than my mother and it was painful. The lady that did my cleaning was amazing and very informative. I thought the dentist was the same until she went over some of my treatment plan and said she was coming back instead sent someone to do a cleaning and a whole other person explained to me what I would need to pay for a treatment plan. Mind you this lady added another tooth and kept using their dentistry lingo like I had been there several times. I’m leaving feeling overwhelmed and confused about what I need done. The lady that went over my treatment kept talking in her ear and she really wasn’t paying attention hence the lingo. I advised her this is not what we discussed but she said the hygienist found it later? I don’t know but Dr. Phil has some explaining to do!!! It was up in the air for me. The rooms were too small. They told me I could No massage chair. No free whitening with PPO either. I’ll give y’all one more chance at another location but definitely not 5 stars!!!

Be sure you have multiple days off if you need a cleaning. They are not able to do exams and cleanings in the same day. Refuses refund. The 1st time they got me I was outsourced for surgery and was quoted 2000-3000 and had to make a deposit to schedule the appointment. When time came I was re-quoted 5600, which was out of budget. Don't waste your time or money on this place.

Negative experience: So, I had an appointment at 4:30. I took off from work 30 minutes early and eas penalized just to get here. Needless to say, today is a rainy day with thunder storms and tornado warnings, however, I didn't cancel because I didn't want to be fined. I walked in at 4:36 and the nonchalant receptionist ALEX MARTINEZ, told me that unfortunately, since i was late instead of being punctual with my appointment that I had to reschedule. After me explaining everything I had gone through to be here, without any sympathy or empathy, he just kept stating that my appointment was at 4:30. Then after 10 minutes of going back and forth with this guy, he finally says that he can go ask if someone will see me. This is something that he could have done 10 minutes earlier. Then he finally comes back and tells me I will have to reschedule because they are closing soon. I am very disappointed and feel something should be done. Especially after only being 5 minutes late and penalized at my job.

Negative experience: LONG POST ALERT: THIS BY FAR WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD TO COME ACROSS. I have already been a fan of Mint dentistry. When they first arrived on the scene I was some of the many few that were in the seats and supporting their business. I stepped away from from mint dentistry due to me moving out of their service area. I returned to back to the city only to find out that Mint dentistry had grew so much and I now had options as to what location I could attend. With a glad spirit to to return to Mint dentistry I set up an appointment at the Garland location off of Bass pro. WORST MISTAKE EVER. From the time I set the appointment I had nothing but problems. I set my appointment for 8 am in the morning because I had other things to do for that day. The Mint dentistry I remember could get you in on time, service your needs and have you on your way. The day before my appointment a lady called me to figure out if I had insurance (clearly after I had entered it into my sign up portal) I informed her that I did indeed have insurance and asked her if she needed anything else before my appointment the next day? She answered "no". I received an email that night that stated could I arrive at the location 15 minutes prior to my appointment which look like an email that everyone gets so therefore their appointment starts on time. I arrive to the location at 7:45 only to find out that there was no one there. 8:00 a.m. rolled around. Still no one there, but there were individuals sitting in their cars. The individual sitting in their cars were the young ladies that work on the inside of mint dentistry. At 805 one young lady jumped out to open the door and everyone that had an 8:00 appointment followed. When I arrived at the desk to check in, the lady told me she needed to offer me a discount plan cause I didn't have insurance. I informed her I did have insurance and that I had provided it multiple times . the lady yet again asked me for my insurance , which I have given to her two times before. I said in the lobby and observed some other individuals, about 4 or 5 that came after me escorted to the back before me. Please remember that my appointment was at 8:00. 856 a.m. comes around and I am finally escorted to the back. Only for me to sit in the booth for 15 minutes before someone comes to start an assessment. She came in. Took a couple of pictures and left one another 10 minutes. She came back and took some more pictures and left for another 10 minutes. Now this time it is 9:30 and I have left. The lady know I am totally disgusted at this point and I am leaving. The young lady asked me why am I so upset and why am I leaving when they have done nothing wrong to me. Is this really were meant dentistry is going. Please check into this. This is not how you treat customers. Mint is this now the culture for your brand? This is ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: This was such a great experience! I brought a friend for an appointment and ended up getting an ortho consult with Dr. Bellan while I was there. The office is nice, clean, and the staff is friendly. The practice manager, Roland, presented with some treatment and financing options. It was painless process. I recommend Mint Dentistry - Garland to anyone!

Negative experience: MY FELLOW BLACK FOLKS DO NOT COME HERE THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY!!!!!! SAVE YOUR TIME AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, STAY AWAY!!!!! I came for deep cleaning and to discuss getting braces, my last visit to a dentist was about 10 months ago and they did 2 fillings for me. I came to MINT Garland and the Dr. Patil said I had major tooth decay and I needed 5-6 ROOT CANALS??? Absolutely ridiculous I couldn't believe it. Not to mention the so called "deep cleaning" they did for me only took 10-15 minutes. She just used a sharp tool to scrape at my teeth, put a gel on my teeth, and flossed for me. They showed me my treatment plan and I did NOT like the way the girl was giggling while explaining how many THOUSANDS of dollars I would need to pay for all these root canals. I sought out a second opinion from my aunt who is also a dentist and sent her my x-rays and she was in absolute shock when telling me I don't need ANY ROOT CANALS at the most I just need 2-3 fillings. I will definitely take this to dental board if I see the wrong billing sent to my insurance and I'm NOT playing!!!! THESE PEOPLE JUST WANT TO SCAM MONEY FROM YOUR INSURANCE AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU AND YOUR POCKETS PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!!!

Fantastic experience: The team was amazing from the front desk Maira who checked me in and explained my benefits and treatment plan in a way that I could understand. To my hygienist Stephinia who was very careful to make experience as pain-free and comfortable as she could. A good person all around. To my Doctor Dr Patel who wore a smile the whole time she involed in her decision making process. It did not feel as if I was being told but rather I was along with the process. Great place great people. My new dental home

Negative experience: I have bad anxiety when it comes to dentist offices and anything to do with my teeth. I decided on MINT dentistry because of the advertisements I heard on the radio. I was hoping it would be as relaxing as advertised. Boy was I wrong, it was THE WORST experience! Front desk was just ok, not very friendly but also not rude. They took me to the back and did my x-rays (not sure how much experience the kid had) but they had to retake several of them twice and it cut the inside of my mouth. Then the Dr came in and started talking about a "treatment plan" even though I didn't have any cavities. (I was really confused). At this point my anxiety was through the roof and I asked for nitrous to help calm me. The hygienist rolled her eyes and said "you need it for a cleaning?" She left to get it and someone came back and started putting paperwork in front of me for my "treatment plan" and to have the nitrous which was an extra $75 out of pocket. Hygienist came back 15 minutes later, put me on nitrous said she'd be back in 5 minutes but came back about another 15 minutes later. She started cleaning my teeth and only did the front part of them. Took about 10-15 minutes to clean and said I was done. I was there about 2 hours total and only got half of a cleaning!!! The advertisement for mint is all hype and no follow through! No massage chairs, no whitening (got the gel but can't use it without trays which is a whole other situation). Needless to say my first appointment will be my last with this office. I left the office in a full on anxiety attack.

Negative experience: Hi my name is Kerry Walls. My experience at the Mint Dentistry in Garland,Tx was half baked. The nurses that did my X-rays were excellent. The doctor seemed even ok. The problem I notice that everyone was all over the place and no one person was responsible for a patient. The doctor started cleaning with my teeth and ask other assistants to finish my cleaning my teeth. Next the lady who handles the billing gave me a run down on how much my future dental work would cost. When the young lady was done explaining my dental cost she said I was done and leave the chair, I told her that they weren’t done cleaning my teeth and she yes they were, so I scratched my head and left. My wife was able to get the full cleaning and got a bag full of goodies as well. I ask a young Hispanic man who said he worked with braces about what a cleaning Consisted of and he said brushing your teeth. He thought that was funny. I asked the manager why i didn’t get my teeth cleaning completed and she didn’t seem that concerned. Well I did not get a complete cleaning. Mint Dentistry is a bad choice if you want dental work. Apparently they don’t care!

Positive experience: I usually have a good experience at this location but not today. I started my checkin process with the lady behind the desk then needed to call my insurance to get my id number. When I was ready to finish checkin the lady acted like I was a ghost at the front desk. Completely ignored me. I had to ask the other lady if she can check me in. There are so many people here waiting to be seen I counted 12 people in the waiting area. I thought it was weird how flexible they were and got me in quick. This feels like I’ll either be here all day or I’ll get rush service.

Negative experience: Nice enough people but I suspect most of them don't know what they're doing. My wife had extractions 7 MONTHS ago & is still waiting for dentures. We were told the fitting three weeks ago would be the last & the they would be done in 2 weeks.. When I called today I was told that was the 3rd step in a 5 step process. I don't know how much longer they're going to drag this out.

Negative experience: I usually am not the one to write reviews but my experience this time was unsatisfactory. This is my second appointment with the orthodontics doctor here. Overall I spent close to 2 hours with terrible service there when it should've been about 45 min-1 hr appointment. The communication was terrible with the doctor and the service was terrible with the assistant. The doctor could've have greeted me and said "hey there are a lot of patients so I'll be going back and forth between you and others". Or said "sorry there's overlapping appointments, I'll do my best to provide you proper care". There was nothing. She rushed with me, wasted my time going back and forth to other people during my procedure while I was in pain, and said no apology whatsoever. The assistant offered nothing to me. No Netflix, music, massage chair, CONVERSATION while most of my visit was waiting. She did not speak to me unless I was asking her questions but she became alive any time the doctor came around. Assistant asked the doctor about new years and initiated conversation very casually. They spoke about their kids (went over some things that I think is too personal in front of a patient. Assistant also said how the other doctor for mint dentistry was mean, really mean. Whether he is or not is none of my business but thats something a patient or member or whatever should not hear). Each time the doctor left she was quiet and said nothing to me. She just stayed on her phone. She also didn't check to see what procedure was being done for me that day. So that caused more of a delay. Overall I felt extremely glossed over this whole invisalign visit. Felt unimportant and only to realize that one of my attachments are gone once I left. I'm not sure why they did not notice i have an attachment missing from my tooth but i am paying a lot for this service and I would like the result to be as it should. If anyone goes there, I would be assertive and ask questions and unfortunately go behind them to make sure they are doing things correctly. A rushing job makes me feel.like something could go wrong and that's a terrible feeling. I'm sure they're nice people but there was no real communication and the service was flat. Couldnt post a breakdown story but this is a good overall.

Positive experience: I really wanted to like it but they have alot of flaws. 1. Very expensive, they lure people in with their fancy office, flexible schedule and free teeth cleaning if your insurance covers it. However don't be pressured into doing any additional services, don't have the mentality of "you might as well get it done since you are already there" they are very expensive. 2. The front desk girls are very pushy, like car salesman. When I told them I didn't want to get the additional services, they wouldn't take no for an answer. They need to learn to respect a customers decision. I had to walk out because they wouldn't leave me alone. 3. When you make an appointment, the scheduling person assures you that they can take care of all of your needs during your appointment. However, after your cleaning, if they don't have time for the rest they will tell you to come back at a later date. If you need a cleaning in a hurry then their flexible schedule is great because they will be able to squeeze you in. Other than that I see no reason to go here over any other place.

Negative experience: The dentist and staff were very nice. I felt that there were to many appointments being set for the dentist to give each patient the proper attention needed. Throughout my root canal the dentist had to stop 4 times to go see other patients that made my procedure take longer and I felt like the dentist had to rush through my procedure. That makes the patient feel very unsure about the work being done. The girl at the front desk went through the price with me before the procedure. She showed me 3 price options. The price without the membership was about $4000 and the price with the membership was $2000. The price at most dentists around town for the same procedure is $1100-$1400 I know because I called around to many dentists offices. Your staff wouldn't give me a price over the phone or even a price range until I came in. I had no choice but to go ahead and get it done because I was in so much pain. Your normal price of $4000 is a inflated price to get customers to do the membership and even the membership price is no discount it's still a marked up price compared to other dentists in the area. The experience is by no means how your advertising makes it out to be. I believe allot of the positive reviews on here are FAKE and made by workers or friends of. That is illegal. If you actually take the time to look at all the reviews online from many different sources you will find a completely different version of the reality other than what Mint portrays themselves as. I wish I would had taken the time to do my homework on this location in Garland before I went there.
