Fantastic experience: As a new patient, the first appointment is very important to ensure patients feel comfortable to come back and that was definitely my experience. Everything was explained to me thoroughly and I was given treatment options. Stephanie was great. And the dentist that gave me the deep cleaning was kind and provided me recommendations to keep up with my dental hygiene.

Negative experience: This is the clearest case of fake reviews I’ve ever come across. Most unsanitary dental office I have ever seen. Literal stains everywhere. I had to complain before they cleaned up the room and chair and stains on the drawers and equipment. There was no soap in the bathroom and everyone arrived to work late. The Asian dentists working here have attitude problems and are rough on the teeth and gums even when applying the numbing gel. But hey they accept medi-cal.

Fantastic experience: Don’t worry be happy, is my experience with Happy Smiles. I was worried about procedures (time) and payments (money). I knew I needed braces and with Lidia’s help I was given mental and financial clarity. Lidia showed me how to get and pay for braces. Every procedure had been clearly explained by her. Lidia gave a clear picture on how much and long I would be paying. I would 100% recommend Happy Smiles if you have any children because they are so friendly. They have a way with kids. They speak Spanish too, I’m not sure if they speak other languages you never know. BUT I came here because it was near me but ended staying because of the friendly and professional atmosphere Happy Smiles brings.

Negative experience: I had a GREAT experience with all staff. As someone who has anxiety around the dentist office, they made me feel comfortable and not ashamed of my situation. Very helpful team with affordable service! *5/21 UPDATE* After realizing my insurance wasn’t accepted, I unfortunately wanted to cancel my upcoming appointments so that I could find a dental office that accepts my insurance. However, I realized I was met with tension after asking for a refund on the deposit of $300 that I placed for a cleaning service which I had NOT received. After asking multiple times, I was ignored & constantly being “redirected” by them trying to make me continue to receive services. I was told I would be called back & yet no one has called me. After calling them today I was told no one can take my call. It comes off as if they are avoiding me and not trying to give me my money back for a service that I did not have done. I am surprised by the sudden change in behavior because I initially enjoyed my experience here and had high hopes. Unfortunately, this experience has left me disappointed in this dental office.

I had a root canal specialist work on me and I had no pain after which was obviously great! They did a crown for me too and I love it. Thanks to the entire team here

Negative experience: **Terrible Experience with Overpriced Dental Quote – Feels Like a Scam!** I recently visited Happy Smiles Dental Los Angeles for a routine check-up and was shocked by the outrageous quote they gave me for basic dental work. What should have been a straightforward procedure turned into a complete rip-off! The receptionist was polite, but the moment the manager came in, it felt like a sales pitch rather than a medical consultation. They recommended unnecessary treatments and inflated the costs to an absurd level when other reputable clinics charge half that! When I questioned the pricing, they gave vague excuses about "premium materials" and "specialized care," but it was clear they were just trying to squeeze as much money as possible out of me. No transparency, no justification—just greed. I walked out, and compared prices immediately. I found a price immediately, for 75% cheaper than what i was quoted. I hope people read this and do their research to avoid getting ripped off. **Zero stars if I could.** Waste of time and an insult to honest healthcare professionals.

Negative experience: I would not recommend here. The waiting time is horrbile. Manager was unprofessional was on her phone while i was asking questions. My cousin got her tooth extracted with bone graft and was being charged $460. Once i went for my consultation i was told i needed the same thing as was beinf charged $850. How outrageous. Not to mention how unsanitary they are. Please stay away from clinics like this !

Negative experience: very unprofessional i went to get an estimate on a root canal and where charging me the triple on top of having insurance. Wait time is horrible. not worth it save your time !

Positive experience: Did my exam and x-ray with them. People are nice here. But if you have an insurance, be aware to ask before if the doctor is in network or out network. They didn't tell me that information when I had my visit there. I only found that out when I see my claim from my insurance. Fortunately I only need to pay the out network deductible amount, and my insurance covers any preventive cost after deductible.

She was sooo gentle to the point where it didn’t even feel like she was touching my teeth! I am still shocked about what just happened. She was also super informative. You can tell she really loves what she does. And the ladies at the front, Karla and Yesenia were super friendly. They had great energy and even did a little something nice for me at the end :) The parking can take some time, but it is worth it to get such great care. I just had a cleaning so can’t speak on other services, but it truly was the best dental experience I have ever had. Thank you so much!

I had to get my teeth fixed today, so unfortunately I won't be able to come to this office but that type of service is exemplary and hard to find anywhere at any business. Just for that, this place deserves my 5-stars.
