Fantastic experience: I needed to correct my bite and straighten a few teeth. Dr. Deno suggested Invisalign. In just a few months my smile looks great and my confidence has been boosted as well! Also, most Doctors usually make you wait in the waiting room for hours. Not Dr. Deno, I'm always in the denial chair within minutes of my appointment time. All of the staff here are friendly and professional.

Fantastic experience: Thank you. Moved to WC last year.had to get dentures. My health care ran out Well care ran of coverage. Signed up with Human and found west Columbia Dentistry and when I contacted both insurance companies and found out I was covered. The 1st receptionist was glad I spoke with her. She processed with all the arrangements of getting me an appointment in about 3 days. When I went for the first appointment I had very little paperwork to fill out. I did have to have my insurance card and ID. After that the took me Bach and x-rays and the dentist cam in and looked at the x-rays and my teeth. He then pointed out that I would need dentures. The very polite assistant took molded of my mouth. They sent them to the lab and about 2 weeks I could eat chew again. Have to go back for adjustments when needed. ALL IN ALL. This dentist office is the most compliment and efficient one I have had.

Fantastic experience: Great experience at West Columbia family dentist. Mayra took over the role as my new dental hygienist. She was amazing very detailed and only took about 20 to 30 minutes. I highly recommend you ask for her.

Fantastic experience: My new dentures are great, outside of the fact that I can't chew with them. But they look nice.

Negative experience: I went in for my routine cleaning, which I do every six months. Unfortunately, the dental technician who cleaned my teeth seemed inexperienced and very unsure of herself. During the cleaning, she accidentally damaged one of my veneers, which was extremely upsetting. Additionally, I had concerns about a cavity, but Dr. C completely ignored it. Instead, he focused only on recommending crowns for my six front teeth and provided a quote for that treatment—without even addressing the issue I originally brought up. I left feeling unheard and dissatisfied with the level of care. I won’t be returning to this practice.

Fantastic experience: I am very pleased to share my experience. I needed an appointment due to two teeth that were cracked and I couldn't eat nor sleep because of the constant pain. I waited so many years due to bad experiences with other practices. I am pleased to report that from the moment I walked in and the moment I left, I felt as if I was part of the family. The care and attention that I get from West Columbia Family Dentistry has been great, even through the pandemic. I feel safe, comfortable at all times, and well taken care of when I visit. Fantastic experience: Absolutely great. Amber is the greatest. So informative and detailed on each tooth. I know it’s her job but she makes coming to get your teeth cleaned a fun outing. AND I have spent thousands on my teeth and every time I got fluoride treatments, I was sick as soon as the parking lot and usually the next day. I totally stop the fluoride treatments at cleanings because of sickness feeling. Amber asked me if I had milk allergies and I said definitely and she took me it’s connected. Not once had any one told me that and I’m going to be 60 in November. She will definitely be doing my cleanings for now on. AND the whole staff is wonderful, just saying. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I had to switch dentists because I needed Invisalign and looked up different places near me that offered it and this place seemed nice. I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice everyone is here. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a dentist. Update: It’s been about a year now and they’re still as nice as ever. Really enjoy going here.

Positive experience: My rating is sincere ,but I've been waiting for the last 8- 9 months for upper dentures. They didn't get it right the ( first time) now I'm on the second go around.About to be the third time,I think that's a little "MUCH!"

Fantastic experience: I went in for an emergency appointment, experiencing extreme pain and face swelling. They started treatment right away with a root canal and crown. My prior dentist would have sent me to a specialist for the root canal, but this was all done in house. Dr. Owen was great including all the assistants. I was in a lot of pain, I appreciated their kindness. I’m really glad I found them!

Dr. C is an incredibly talented professional that uses the latest technology. He has a great smile and personality to match. Recently I referred my son and he personally called to welcome him and confirm appointment. I’m actually glad to go see them for cleaning and repairs. His group does it all. Fantastic experience: A shout out to West Columbia Family Denistry on Platt Springs Road. I started my Invisalign journey end of March. We ran into a glitch on the fourth week with the Invisalign’s not fitting. Both times I went in to see about the situation, everyone was so kind. Today my new Invisalign’s came in and the new buttons wanted to give us a fit. Finally we are back on the journey. Dr.C is always so kind and funny and puts you at ease and Kaylee is awesome! I highly recommend them for your dental needs. Dr. C and his staff are exceptional. Very friendly but also very professional and efficient. I highly recommend them for any and all of your dental care.

Fantastic experience: We love our dentist. We have had so many crowns needed that we know what will happen. I have always hated going to the dentist but I don’t any longer.

Fantastic experience: I went in with a bit of caution never had luck with dentist before. In the military they had a bunch of butcher. In basic had root Canals done,felt like I was in a interrogation camp. I also had some extraction that they had to stop because of pain and put me under as not to hurt the dentist. I even ran in to an X military who became a dentist "pain". But this guy is a PRO Dr. Cooke. Signed in no problem the assistant did X rays explained everything to me what was going on the the Dentist explain in more detail he even talk to my wife. And after that, I thought here comes the pain. They were great I had two extraction and a filling done slept through it all they had to wake me up. From my lips to God's ears. Yes they will be seeing me again thank you very much

Fantastic experience: I absolutely fell in love with this place and that's hard to say about a dentist. They took multiple x rays and he examined and even took a picture of the 2 teeth and showed me what was wrong. The whole staff was super friendly but best of all they took my insurance so I feel like I'm getting BOGO crowns. Dr C is very experienced and very nice. Amy is very good hygienist. She explained my gum problem and did a great job on my teeth.

Negative experience: Horrible experience with My family and I. We have had much pain and had to go to a new Dentist to fix many problems. Now we are 1000’s in debt for shoddy work. We complained about billing and dental work and experienced the worst customer service after we reached out in person and on phone multiple times. Truly the worst customer service we have ever had.

Negative experience: I been coming here for years. Always had good experience and got my teeth whitening back in 2022 paid half and paid the rest later. now they telling me they can't do my whitening because I can't pay half.. and pay the rest later..i have to pay infull .. I never paid all at once..

They got us in and scheduled as quickly as possible and treatment was the same! Won’t go to another office anytime soon!

Positive experience: The staff very courteous and try very hard. But I have had a terrible experience with the lower dentures I got they stay in pocket more than my mouth. Having to go in weekly to allow them to try different thing to no avail. It is very embarrassing to have to stop eating or talking so I can put my teeth in my pocket. Fantastic experience: Haven't seen a dentist since I was a kid. Didn't have horrible problems but I did have a tooth that was killing me and a big fear of dentist. I went here and had a root canal and didn't feel a thing. I'd highly recommend going here. They walked me through my anxiety and everything.

Fantastic experience: I’m happy with the care I received. Fast in at appointment time and efficient, out in a half hour with two fillings. It’s taken a long time for the numbness to wear off, now nearly five hours. I thought my lip was atrophied but then I found a cotton roll thing still stuck between teeth and gum. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: I was a new patient with an emergency. They got me in for an appointment quickly. I saw Dr C. He was so kind and compassionate. He explained my options well and was able to give me some immediate pain relief. I am so glad I found this office.

Negative experience: Excellent dental hygienist! Will not be returning as they gave away my appointment. I confirmed via text but they said I didn’t and asked me to come back in a couple hours. Evidently my Yes wasn’t in caps?!

Negative experience: My son Julian James went to Dr. Owen’s for 2 crowns put in. Each time my son had one done, he had to go back afterwards because he was in pain! Even after the second crown was done he had to go back because he was still in pain! Do you realize how much money that this cost him and our insurance? He told me he’s never endured so much pain because of them giving him shots also! He had to go to a Dentist on a Saturday because of pain and the doctor said that the crowns were not put in right and they left nerve damage! Now an oral surgeon has to extract both crowns at the end of this month because they were not put in right! My son does not want to go back to this place because he doesn’t trust them in his mouth anymore! I’m getting a lawyer because of all the money that he has spent and they have charged to our insurance company! Here’s a picture of her terrible work! Stay away from Dr. Owen’s! If Dr. Deno was still here, this would not have happened!

Negative experience: First visit tooooooooo long, left before DMD could even do exam (I left at 90min, DMD wasn’t going to see me for 30 more min). Too many digital images in too many locations in office. Panoramic, bite wings, full set of images (including another set of bite wings..nothing questionable with first set) and 3D imaging. Edit- I received a request from West Columbia Family Dental to discuss my review. I called the number provided and the clinic had NO IDEA who I would follow up with. “This request came as an auto reply from corporate”. DO BETTER West Columbia Family Dental!

Negative experience: Was helped by Kendra, who was a delight. Made appointments for both me and my husband then about 20 minutes later a “gentleman” called stating they were booked till the end of the year. I find this extremely unprofessional for whoever that was. I cancelled my appointments, and you lost two potential customers.

Fantastic experience: Very terrified of dentists, I was told I needed four fillings, I came in a month later and Dr.Cook did everything so nicely and quickly I didn’t even know he began injecting me with the numbing medicine. There were some hiccups on my end because I am very scared of needles and I never had so many fillings before but they made me feel comfortable!

Negative experience: I've been contemplating leaving a review and family feel like it's necessary after my husband and I had to get thousands of dollars worth of work corrected at a different dentist office. I know my review will most likely mean nothing, not make a difference and will just get their BS reply about HIPAA. They don't actually care. Around 2 years ago I had to get a root canal. I had to come back in a few times because of awful pain. They told me it wasn't supposed to hurt like that. between them not getting all of the nerve out and not filling it properly, it was no wonder I was in so much pain. About a year later I needed another root canal and had a similar issue. I STILL have discomfort from BOOTH procedures. When I bit down, both teeth feel really weird and one of them hurts a bit. My husband had the same thing done and had the same severe pain. He also tried to explain to them that he has incredibly sensitive teeth and needed additional numbing, which they did the first time but refused the second time, argued with him and he decided to walk out because they told him there was just no way it was still hurting. I'm sorry, but you are him and you don't know his pain tolerance. Everyone is different. We had to go to a different dentist that fixed my husband's procedures and one of mine. The drastic difference in the x-rays was clear and the pain and discomfort was gone. We have wasted thousands of dollars on poor quality work with West Columbia and even more money with another more skill dentist that fixed the issues was half the cost. If you are going to charge as much as you do, please do the work properly and don't make your patients feel like their pain isn't important.

Negative experience: I came in for a cleaning & exam but only had an exam.My appointment was at 8am they told me to arrive 15 mins early but didn’t take me back until 825. When I asked about the cleaning, I was told I could come back tomorrow. If they don’t do both in one visit they could have told me that on the phone when I scheduled my appointment.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I visited West Columbia Family Dentistry to address an issue with one of my wisdom teeth. Initially, I planned to have just one tooth removed, but after discussing my situation with the team, I decided to go ahead and have all of them taken out. I can honestly say it was one of the best dental experiences I’ve ever had, despite how intimidating it could have been. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and made me feel at ease. The dental assistant was exceptional, she was not only kind and approachable but also extremely knowledgeable. She patiently answered all my questions and helped calm my nerves, which made a huge difference for me. Dr. Cook was equally amazing. He took the time to explain the procedure in detail and ensured I was comfortable every step of the way. His calm and caring demeanor made the whole process much less stressful than I anticipated. I truly felt like I was in good hands. On top of the excellent care, I was worried about the financial aspect of the procedure since I wasn’t prepared to cover the cost of removing even one tooth, let alone three. Brittany stepped in and worked with me to sign up for My Smile Care Credit. I was approved for financing, which lifted a huge burden and stress off my shoulders. Overall, my experience at West Columbia Family Dentistry was fantastic. The team went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of both medically and financially. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and professional dental team. They truly are awesome!

Negative experience: This was the worst experience I have ever had. After getting a root canal from dr. C that I didn't think I even needed. I started having consistant tooth pain for a week before I called to make an appointment to have that fixed. Tell me why this man shaved my actual opposing tooth down to make it fit for the crown, instead of shaving the actual crown itself. It wasn’t just a little. He shaved it flat and the pain was never fixed. (Just an fyi, this is a procedure that should never be done for him to shave so much of my tooth down. The crown should have been the one that was shaved and fixed.) he didn’t ask me if it was okay. No consent there. Everything was a waste. He messed up my teeth. That was the only thing he was concerned about was his work on the root canal saying it looked really good and that it was “beautiful”. Who cares, that doesn’t help the pain. He was also patronizing, rude, incompetent and he genuinely did not care. Not only was my issue not fixed, but now I have another issue as he shaved a perfectly fine tooth to fit a ‘crown’. I can’t eat on that side anymore. My top tooth is ruined and painful and the root canal tooth is painful as well. This was definitely malpractice and I might get lawyers involved should my teeth get worse. I should have never gotten this procedure done here. I will never come here again, and I suggest no one comes here either. (A good recommendation is Sean Flynn at Family Dental Health of Saint Andrews. He is an amazing dentist. He tried to fix what C didn’t care to fix.)

Fantastic experience: I called and made an appointment for Monday as a first time patient. I show up and was mistaken for another Brian Johnson that has been there before. After all of that was figured out (well before anything happened) the staff was amazing and very kind. As well as the quality of work they preformed. Prices were still a bit on the high side to me (imo) as a cash payer but cheaper than the office I left from. I believe I will make this office my regular.

Fantastic experience: My husband started seeing Dr Owens last year and this was my first visit. Dr Owens is down to earth and has such a welcoming personality. She explains everything, with a caring attitude. It is a state of the art dentistry. We were both so impressed with her kind and caring staff, which says volumes of Dr Owens. The staff are very professional and knowledgeable of all they do. I would highly recommend Dr Virginia Owens and her staff.

Negative experience: Was not impressed with the dentist. He did not introduce himself to me when entering the room (I had never met him before). He seemed to be in a hurry during my procedure (he was leaving early, so he needed to be done on time). I told him I had another appointment I needed to attend in 2 hours. He ran over on time, making me miss the appointment I had. I didn't receive any care supplies or printed instructions for aftercare. After being in severe pain, called the office on Saturday and received a callback on Monday. Due to no emergency services, I ended up going to Urgent Care for help on Saturday. When I was still in pain a week later, he couldn't fit me in (and neither could any of the other providers) because he was leaving early again. I ended up going to the emergency dental clinic nearby to get assistance. Won't return here since they don't seem to handle aftercare or emergencies.

Fantastic experience: Needed a second opinion and found my new dentist in the process! I hate dental anything and Dr. C and his staff were amazing! Had 2 procedures and they were painless! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Love Dr. Deno Chrysostom & Marquise (his assistant) at West Columbia Family Dentistry. Had 6 crowns & a bridge done by Dr. Deno. Made me feel comfortable & at ease & did excellent quality work. Lisa in billing was excellent. So was Jill who performed my teeth cleaning. Felt like I was part of their family! Definitely would recommend this practice for any dental work.

Fantastic experience: I love this dentist office, but this particular visit I had I had a lot of questions and concerns about a tooth . But after talking with Amy , I felt more at ease about my tooth . She was very honest, she gave me ideas to help me and I just felt better about the whole visit. Thank you Amy for your help.
