Negative experience: Front desk was very friendly but I didn’t like my result. I got a filling fixed but instead of keeping the natural shape of the tooth it was left concave and too smooth. Just came because it was urgent but I wouldn’t change my dentist, I would have to get it fixed.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now. I think the Dr. Is great and caring about her job. The staff is always pleasant and welcoming. Would recommend if you’re looking for a dental office.

Negative experience: This morning I got to my appointment 10 minutes early. The waiting room was empty besides two people. All the sudden a bunch of people came in and suddenly even though my appointment was at 9:15 people whose appointment was it 9:30 gets called before me. How does that work? Every time it doesn't matter how early I get there or how many people are in the waiting room I still end up waiting for over an hour! I literally walked out the door! There is no reason that people that walked in after me should be getting called back before I do! Nor is there any reason that someone whose appointment is after mine should get called before me!

Negative experience: Ok this is my 2nd review a yr later. I don't know what happened. I didnt see the doctor I had the last time. I'm old school, these young people flicked the tarter out of my mouth, no polish no nothing after not even rinse your mouth out before shoving down my throat a new product that cost 800.00 bucks. The doctor left the room onto the next after answering a question I had and the response was I don't know maybe your not brushing right I was also concerned about a spot on my gum. You will have to see someone else for that I had no referral I n hand when I left the building. It was like night and day from my first time appointment. I was flabbergasted and taken a back. I felt like because I wasn't gun ho for the product they didn't want to have anything to do with me

Fantastic experience: The best experience I've had at a Dentist PERIOD! Mouth pain is no joke but the whole staff at Academy Dental puts you at ease and does whatever they can to help get rid of that pain. Great staff, great dentist and great place!!!

Negative experience: The worst place ever. They charged me 3% for using my credit card. The toilet was clogged. The Dentist rushed me out after she ripped my tooth out Babbled something took off and they gave me a paper telling how to care for it.

Fantastic experience: Capital A-mazing dental office!!!! They get high marks in EVERY category, explanation of fees, dental chair manner, friendliness and helpfulness. It always feels good to be seen and feel seen as a person and you will get that here. Dr. Nav is the coolest and I will say the ummm "scenery" in the office is very nice. Bathroom always clean, waiting area always clean and one of the biggest things for me is they actually answer the phone when you call. You get text alerts for appointments if your new to the area, looking for a better dentist then you have, or just want to see if what I say rings true I recommend coming in you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

Negative experience: I use to love this dentist when they first opened now it has drastically gone down hill and all they do push for u to get root canal’s even when you don’t need one and inonly say this because i go to the dentist ona regular basis and i dont see how u can get checked have no cavities nothing wrong the. Come back a few months later and they say u need a root canal that makes no sense i feel like they ruined my mouth i would not recommend this place now

Negative experience: I was consistently ignored about procedures and concerns and pains I had about my teeth. My first root canal ever in life was botched and very painful and my filings kept falling out, I'm 42. To top it off they told me I was putting money down on my bridge then claim that it went to an extraction that I want told for covered under my medical insurance. If this gets stressed I'll be back with the same exact review. How do you take xrays of my mouth and not know if I have any remaining cavities. The worse dentist I've ever encountered will never go back and will never recommend not even to a dog.

Negative experience: While everyone was very nice there, almost every filling I got from them either broke or fell out and they try to push unnecessary services. I went to a new dentist and basically have had everything redone. Also, they WILL NOT stop calling you two years later to get you scheduled even though I’ve explained numerous times that I’m not coming back. Harassment is not a way to regain business.

THE MAN DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ANYTHING BUT MONEY!!!!! IF YOU SIT IN A WAITING ROOM WHERE HE WORKS I CAN PROMISE YOU SOMEONE WILL BE CURSING AND STORM OUT OF THE FRONT DOOR!! HE DOESN'T PROVIDE TOP TIER SERVICE BUT WANTS TOP DOLLAR!! I UNDERSTAND ITS A BUSINESS AND YOU HAVE TO MAKE MONEY, BUT THAT SHOULDN'T AFFECT MY EXPERIENCE AS A PATIENT. YOU DONT HAVE TO MAKE IT SO OBVIOUS THAT YOU SEE YOUR PATIENTS AS JUST ANOTHER DOLLAR BILL. THERE IS A CERTAIN RAPPORT A HEALTH CARE PROVIDER SHOULD HAVE WITH THEIR PATIENTS. HE RUNS THE PLACE LIKE A FACTORY!! ITS ALL ABOUT NUMBERS, GET IN, PAY, AND GET OUT! NO PERSONALITY, NO SMALL TALK. AT LEAST FAKE BEING NICE, IT MAKES THE VISIT MORE PLEASANT! THIS POST IS NOT ABOUT VICTORIA, SHE WORKS THE FRONT DESK AND IS EXTREMELY NICE AND EFFICIENT!! DORA IS ALSO VERY NICE AND TAKES CARE OF CLIENTS. THE TREATMENT OF PATIENTS BY DR. PURI IS SO UNBELIEVABLY DISRESPECTFUL!! EVERYTHING WITH THIS MAN IS RUSHED!! HE IS NOT CAREFUL WITH WHAT HE IS DOING!! HE IS JUST READY FOR THE NEXT PATIENT!! I JUST LEARNED TODAY(4/16/25) THAT HE NO LONGER WORKS AT COLUMBIA DENTAL IN HAMILTON BECAUSE HE WAS HAVING TOO MANY ISSUES WITH PATIENTS!!! THIS IS NOT OK!! PEOPLE ARE PAYING THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY TO RECIEVE EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! ANYTHING LESS IS UNACCEPTABLE!! DR. PURI RECIEVED THE TITLE OF DR. BUT HE IS SIMPLY NOT GOOD AT HIS JOB!! (As of 5/9/25, I learned that Mr. Puri was also kicked out of Academy Dental as well because of the overwhelming number of complaints against him!) IN CONCLUSION, DO NOT GO HERE IF DR. PURI WILL BE THERE!! ! I MADE THE MISTAKE BECAUSE IT'S VERY CLOSE TO HOME AND NOW I'M STUCK WITH THIS GUY!!! (I wish I could give you zero stars on this review)

Yesterday I was there for my treatment and dental assistant who took my X-ray and was super professional at her job and also Dr. Naveel that was with her was also very professional. They both made my experience a WOW experience. Best dental practice to take your family and friends as well as your kids. They do it all.

Negative experience: Steer clear. If I could give 0 points, I would! Your time is not valued. They just let you sit in chair & wait. Many errors. Unethical! The young girls stand behind you & ask questions before dentist comes in IF she does. Billing person basically called me a liar! I gave them $360.00 to begin work that NEVER got done!! I paid for t the start of a root canal. I called my insurance & loan company. Wouldn’t put it past them to continue billing. The girls hair is messy. Not pulled back They had a Spanish girl who spoke very little English & just nodded her head. I could go on. I walked out today after telling them all how I felt. They wanted me to be quiet but I wanted the other patients to know how this place really is. They overbook. I am calling the The American Dental society. Horrible place & no one knows what’s going on. Lack of communication!

Negative experience: Moved to NJ almost 1 year and decided to have my care done here. Insurance is NY based. They were not able to verify insurance and told my daughter and I they need to reschedule. Called insurance and three way the office who told them the insurance was active and provided the link to verify. Went back and they told me they were not able to verify. I stated that I was not leaving the office unless service was provided and based on previous communication with plan. Fast forward to today…waited in room 45 mins only to be told the same thing as 1st appointment. Rep told me that the 1st claim was covered but unsure why they are unable to verify insurance on weekend. I walked out the office and will NEVER return. It is either one or the other…they know what they are doing or not. It seems like the latter. Bottomline, there is a disconnect and this exhibits poor customer service. I was hoping for the visit to be one of service recovery but they failed.

Fantastic experience: experienced bad pain last Friday night. Went to my pervious dental office that morning they were closed. Goggle gave me the closed dentist in the area. Called here explained my situation they offered appt for same day. Arrived earlier due to me being in the area. This place was amazing, welcoming and professional. From the front desk to the dental professionals in the back. Happy to have a great dental place close to home. Thank you to this Dental Team. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Got to tell you that April the dentist assistant is phenomenal in what she does for the practice and very nice person and April front desk is just as phenomenal as well she very helpful and knows what she doing...the practice should be privilege to have these 2 working for them and deserve raises....they are one of the reasons I come back to the dentist....and as for Dr Menta she is a great Dentist I've had no problem with her and she listens...and what she has done for my dental needs are great so far I do recommend this dentist out of the 2 surrounding dentist that I've been to.....and I'm not one to beat around the bush just leaving compliments for the hell of it....I've always feel that if the people or place i go to and the staff treat me the way I wanna be treated they deserve to get there flowers which means to be recognized for there hard work and I really think the owner or manager should always hear great reviews on there staff trust me if I think they don't reserve a great reviews I would not give them it I would give a bad one but they deserve exactly what I wrote in this review......

Fantastic experience: Dr.’s there are very nice, very patient and very assuring. My daughter did very well with the staff and they were very gentle with her. They also did my cleaning they were very good. I recommend anyone to them.

Negative experience: 2 hour wait for a 5 minute extraction The charged me 130 for x-rays. I only wanted one tooth Xrayed. A exam was supposed to be included but I didn't get one. Charged me 260 for a 5 minute extraction. Don't go if you don't have insurance. They will over charge you

Negative experience: very bad experience came in for the first time to bring all three of my children. They were all put in separate rooms where I was not able to even hear or see what the other ones got done when I was with the smallest one the doctor didn't explain anything to me about my older son so I had to find out he actually needed braces when I brought him to another dentist office. they were more concerned about charging my insurance then about the procedure that my daughter needed which by the way they injected my nine-year-old in the gums with no numbing gel or laughing gas I was very disappointed with their performance As well as the receptionists, some of the workers looked miserable working there, and after that appointment, I decided not to ever come back to them as it took me hours for a simple filling. I had to wait over a month to get My children's records after I called them like 3 to 5 times and no one was sending them! My mom recently had work done there too and they tried to over charge her! Be careful if you come there and definitely do not recommend this for children!

Negative experience: Terrible experience. I’m new to the area but I saw that they had really good reviews so I made an appointment. I made an appointment for last Monday and when I arrived they let me know they couldn’t reach my insurance so we rescheduled for Saturday. I received a call on Friday to confirm my appointment, on that call I confirmed we were good with my insurance which they said yes. I show up for my appointment today, sit for 45 min and then they tell me they still have not been able to contact my insurance. I sat in their waiting room for 45 minutes and they didn’t say anything!!!!! Unacceptable. I work for the medical field and I understand things happen, insurances can be difficult but you have to COMMUNICATE!!!!

Negative experience: I’m a dental assistant at another office, I was working at this office last year for sometime and got a cleaning with dr. mehkta she gave me a cleaning and exam as well as my daughter it has been less than 6months I went to another dentist and was told the last cleaning I got was not as good as it should have been and I’ll now need a SRP ! The dentist at this office need to take more time with the patients and stop being so rude to the assistants

Negative experience: Don't belive all the good reviews, they tell their patients to rate them high. I don't trust these people. They didn't believe I had a cavity and when I finally convinced them to drill it out they kept drilling and the doctor kept telling me I didn't need numbing. The cavity ended up being so deep that we talked about a root canal, but I opted out because I don't trust them. It took me asking 3 times for numbing for them to finally give it to me. The doctor kept telling me that I wasn't feeling pain, and I was just feeling warmth. I was literally shaking. I needed a night guard and I paid out of pocket $200 and it didn't fit. They told me once I wear it a few times it will mold to my mouth but it doesn't even fit well enough to stay on. Last time I was there they didn't even brush my teeth with the fluoride. The assistant didn't explain anything, they were so rude. She didn't even talk to me at all. I have had pain on one specific tooth for about a year now and every time I tell them about it they say I just have sensitive teeth. They also told my 20 year old sister that she needs botox on her forehead which made her feel extremely self conscious. The dentist told her that if she didn't get botox that her wrinkles on her forehead would get worse. How is that allowed??

Negative experience: SO I WENT TO THIS EMERGENCY DENTIST here … AND I HAD TO PAY $85 TO GET MY TOOTH LOOKED AT ALL THEY DID WAS … TAKE A X-RAY and stick a finger in my mouth … NO MEDICATION NO CLEANING OR NOTHING AND GAVE ME THEY GAVE ME A REFERRAL TO GET IT PULLED in FEBRUARY HOW THE hell IS THAT SUPPOSED TO HELP ME TODAY? Yes, I have insurance but they still never sent me a card yet so I have no member number yet, but I show her my paper and she said she can’t do anything with it so I paid out-of-pocket FOR NOTHING … paid for x-ray basically & referral that I could’ve got on my own from the hospital or could’ve looked it up online and I know that only a x-ray would’ve only been about like $40‍♀️ I just feel like they could’ve done more for me. I don’t feel like I was helped enough sorry. But the inside was nice and that lady the First Lady I had was nice. Also, this was my first experience here. (I will go back for a update)

Fantastic experience: Absolutely ADORE Academy Dental! I've been going to them since 2019 and I have never had a bad experience! I had 3 wisdom teeth removed with 0 pain and 0 complications, my mom had full dental extractions and dentures created with 0 issues, and I've had great experiences every time I've needed fillings or cleanings. Highly recommend AD for anyone who is anxious about finding a dentist they can trust - they're the best! Thank you, AD Team for everything you do!
