Fantastic experience: When I was first a patient at Lalor I was able to be scheduled the same day for an urgent dental matter. Linda, the dental assistant, was exceptionally good in preparing for my treatment by Dr. Lambert. He explained the options available and presented a flexible treatment plan, as I had hoped. The front desk staff worked seamlessly with my insurance, and they offered convenient communications and scheduling for future visits through their portal. I was impressed. More recently my insurance provider reduced benefits and dropped out of the Cigna system, but the insurer did not provide me with advanced notice. The attentive Lalor office staff did notice that change to my insurance and alerted me to the problem promptly, allowing me enough time to switch insurers to one that is accepted by Lalor. My spouse accompanied me to a scheduled cleaning and asked them about an injury to an incisor. They not only fit her into their full schedule to evaluate the damage, but Dr. Betsey Clark-Fortier repaired the incisor at the same time. The Lalor practices are also invested in community projects that benefit audiences beyond their patients, including a free dental care day, a dental scholarship program and community education outreach. The dental hygienists are outstanding. Recently at the Horseheads location, Hygienist Brielle, assisted by Madison, provided an excellent assessment of my status and an appropriate cleaning.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful time visiting Lalor last Friday. They were so welcoming and friendly. Myah, the one who took my X-ray, is incredibly kind and gentle.

Positive experience: I had a cap completed this afternoon...and just as with Dr. Clark..everyone was so kind and reassuring They all even put up with my sense of humor, with a little reciprocal humor Humor always diffuses any anxiety I might have...

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Laylor Family Dental and it was a very good experience. The reminders I received prior to my appointment were helpful. I was greeted when I arrived and only waited about 5 minutes before being seen. The Laylor associate that assisted me, Maiya, was pleasant, professional and an excellent communicator. Overall, I had a very good experience.

Positive experience: Last time I was there I had a couple teeth pulled. The local pain injection didn't help at all. They didn't get all the tooth out. It keeps getting infected. I need to be put out for my dental work.

Fantastic experience: Lalor dental (big flats) has been an excellent experience everytime I’ve gone for the 3+ years I’ve been using them. I’ve had two root canals, cleanings and fillings with them and everytime they are fantastic!

Fantastic experience: I needed an emergency appointment for a tooth extraction. The Horseheads office was able to see me the day I called. The only complaint I have about this visit is that the dentist was not a good communicator about what was happening and left the room as soon as he had done all that could be done, stating over his shoulder that he would send a script for pain meds. Strange? Yes. But this appointment turned out to be a bit more than a simple extraction so I can understand his frustration. I still recommend this office.

Negative experience: Website is showing a new patient special, call to make an appointment. The soonest I can be seen is March 2026 . . . Feels weird to be advertising for new patients while also not accepting new patients.

Positive experience: Visits to Laylor are always well organized. Staff are pleasant and competent.

Negative experience: The absolute most incompetent office staff do not go here. The hygienists are mostly students, which isn't a terrible thing, but you never get the same hygienist twice which can be frustrating. But the most frustrating part is the way the have no idea how to be responsible towards their patients. They continued to tell me that my insurance was covering our services for a year, telling me I only owed a copay, before we found out that our insurance had been unexpectedly out of network the entire time. Then they tried to make us pay almost $1,000 for their mistake. 4 years later after they forgave all of our expenses because of their incompetence, they are back trying to make me pay another $400 because they updated their system and suddenly all I went through with them is forgotten. Hell no, these people are scammers.

Fantastic experience: I was taken in right at my appointment time. Everyone was courteous, the entire office was clean and beautiful. My hygienist was very professional and pleasant.

Negative experience: Waste of money! My 12+ y/o crown fell off and the dentist just cemented it, didn’t even clean the teeth or didn’t say if it’s going bad or anything. Anyway, the crown fell off again the next day. Didn’t even hold for 24 hours! Not going back there again!

Fantastic experience: Great visit with Doctor McKee and Lindsay. Both of them took great care in explaining how to proceed with my loose tooth. Lalor has been very good to me. Thanks again.

Negative experience: Lalor Family Dental uses unscrupulous business practices. DO NOT TRUST! Last year I was informed that Lalor Family Dental would no longer accept Delta Dental insurance. This notice was well after, in March I believe, the I had the ability to change dental insurance. Since insurance decisions for most individuals must be made the previous November. I was unhappy, but decided that I would pay out of pocket for the second cleaning of the year. This year I changed insurance to one that Lalor accepted. Now I have a dental issue that the new insurance will not cover because I have not had that insurance for 1 year. This leaves me with the option to pay approximately $3000 out of pocket or have a tooth extraction, still pay out of pocket but less money. DO NOT! Trust Lalor Family Dental. By conducting business this way Lalor Family Dental has placed the burden of their business decisions on me. They are are unscrupulous and are causing me great pain and suffering. DO NOT USE Lalor Family Dental.

Fantastic experience: Dr Betsy and Kara were wonderful. The best experience that I have EVER had at the dentist. I feel fortunate to have had Dr Betsy for my procedure. And Kara was so kind. My dental hygienist is great. Always makes me feel welcome and comfortable. Dr Betsy is the beat dentist tbat I have ever been too. This whole dental office is professional, organized and works like a well ouled machine. Thank you.

Positive experience: I had my upper teeth pulled a couple of years ago and Dr Wong did a great job pulling them out. The dentures didn't go so well and was told there was nothing else they could do. Didn't go back after that. Now two years later my bottom teeth needed to be pulled and dentures. Because it was a postive experience of my upper teeth being removed I went back to Lalor. I had an oral surgeon this time, Vishaal Agrawal DDS. The 1st shot of novacane let me know I was in for some healing time when this was over. Dr Agrawal was efficent which I am sure Lalor likes. Drs are treated like machines now. The teeth were removed in short order. Six days later my chin is black and blue and I am still using the pain meds. I am 67 and have experienced many dentists. A softer touch would have been greatly appreciated. Hopefully the dentures will turn out better this time.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mary John is truly the best dentist I have ever had and I hope to schedule with her for all future appointments! Over the last decade I have had previous dentists (out of state) who would be unsuccessful numbing my mouth for fillings - they would give multiple injections & when I still felt pain they would say it was in my head - making me feel guilty for my fears & pain and telling me I was wasting their time if I didn’t hurry up getting the procedures finished. It gave me such dental trauma moving forward. Today I was very terrified going in for a filling, anticipating the typical pain I’ve grown to know. Dr. John was so welcoming and kind, gave me 1 numbing injection, and I didn’t feel a thing during the procedure! The entire process was quick yet detail oriented. I am so impressed with today’s experience that I will recommend Dr. John to everyone looking for a new dental provider. She has restored my trust in dentistry, and I am just so thankful for her care.

Fantastic experience: It was nice to see Myah again today, she is always so pleasant. Dr. B Clark always stops throughout whatever dental work she is doing on you to check and make sure you are doing okay. I find the staff's kindness goes a long way to effect how the rest of your day ends up being.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Dr. McKee at Lalor family dental since about April of this year. He’s awesome! All of the staff make sure your comfortable at every single appointment! My last dental appointment I had a few extractions done and Dr. McKee stopped after each tooth to make sure I was comfortable enough to continue. He even gave me more numbing medicine as I started to feel pain instead of just discomfort. I highly recommend this dentist! I would give a 1,000 stars if I could!

Positive experience: I like this place. The girls who are the dental assistant or hygienists or whatever you call them are usually wonderful! They also don't FORCE YOU to get xrays here like everywhere else every few years, they recommend it but they don't refuse to clean your teeth unless you have them like most other places.

Fantastic experience: This has been the ONLY dentist office I feel extremely comfortable at! I have terrible dental anxiety and the entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. They definitely ease your mind and make you feel less anxious. Dr McKee and Dr Chow are absolutely phenomenal a long with the help of the front desk, and dental assistants! 10/10 recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: I had my 1st initial consult with this dentist yesterday. The staff were so welcoming and offered excellent customer service. The hygienist who performed my x-rays was super helpful and sensitive to my needs. I have an extreme gag reflex and she was so patient. Even going the extra mile to get another person to push the button for her, so it would go faster. They also offered me the opportunity to take a cancellation spot and have my teeth cleaned that day. It was an overall great experience, especially for someone who has a great fear of dentists.

Fantastic experience: My initial appointment at Lalor Family dental group was today. I was anxious about this visit, I had not been to a dentist in 3 years, as my dentist had retired. My experience was great! The staff members were friendly, answered my questions, and Candace was super sweet, explaining every step of the initial visit. I was quite impressed with all the imaging that was done. The dentist put me at ease, reassuring me that everything looked good. These folks were organized, skilled, compassionate, & competent. Very thankful that I was referred here, as it has taken a long time to find a dental group that was accepting new patients. Thank you!

Positive experience: I rarely write reviews online, especially if negative, but we had such a challenging experience with the billing department at Lalor Dental that I felt motivated to share. Our experience with the dentists and hygienists was fine. We had insurance via Aflac, which sent Lalor Dental payment checks 3 different times for one visit each of my husband, daughter and me. Lalor kept saying they never received the checks. Finally, Lalor figured out that they had in fact received the checks and deposited them, but then never paid us what we were owed (over $300). I had to follow up with Lalor about 5 times over the course of 2 years to finally get this resolved and get paid. Super frustrating. We have since switched dentists due to this debacle.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient since January and have had a lot of work done. Dr. Chow and Chris are who I saw 98% of the time, and they were wonderful! They really helped ease my anxieties. They were both super easy to talk to and very meticulous in their work. They took their time and didn't rush, which I really appreciated. I'm so grateful for the great experience! Also, the front office staff and the scheduler were awesome at answering any questions. I would totally recommend Lalor to anyone looking for a dentist.

Fantastic experience: I got dentures 3 years ago from a horrible dentist. They don’t fit. They ended up cracking on the top. I made an appt to hopefully get them fixed. I went in and seen the lab tech and she set me up with an appt. I went this past Monday. She was so nice! I get bad anxiety like most with dentist offices. She was so sweet and helpful. She even put a new reline in for me so the top would fit! She was great!

Negative experience: Wow. Scammers! I was told more than once by office staff AND the hygienist that my insurance covered 3 cleanings per year. I get a $144 bill in the mail that says I owe $61 for unpaid insurance coverage. First off- a cleaning is only $120 so are you also committing insurance fraud? I call Lalor at 3:00pm on 08/02/24 (please review the call!) and I'm told " yeah- we told you it was covered before you okayed the cleaning but it's not so pay up." Many times I was told it was their error but I still had to pay! What?! He finally told me they would " write it off" after I stated I would definitely be speaking to someone higher up. Make sure you write in the "reason for write off" section " got caught scamming". Also- ew- I get such a yucky vibe when I walk in there. Staff seem MISERABLE. I miss my old dentist ( he retired) small practice where he ACTUALLY KNEW MY NAME. Yeah, I saw your staff write my name on a sticky note for you and put it on the keyboard before you came in. Gross.

Fantastic experience: I had my first visit and was very impressed. Danielle was fantastic! She told me exactly what was going to happen step by step. She has a wonderful, bubbly personality. I look forward to being a long term patient.

Fantastic experience: I started going here when I had my old insurance but I got a new job with new dental coverage and even though Lalor is now out-of-network for me, I refuse to go anywhere else. I had my first cavities filled yesterday and it was a great experience. They are very kind and considerate with showing personal interest. It was also done within like 15-20 minutes. Love it here. 5 stars. 100%.

Fantastic experience: I was having some issues so I called first thing when they opened up in the morning and they got me in the same day. Which was amazing especially since I was a new patient who was never there before. I was also able to get my first cleaning the next day. Everyone was kind, friendly and helpful and they explained why they were doing a particular procedure. The dentist Dr. Bryant Lambert was very nice and honest. The exam was very thorough. The other hugh plus is they work with your insurance company and file your claim forms. The only complaints I have is they do not have the cuspidor to rinse and spit and the air conditioning was on frost. It was cold in there. Having said all that I highly recommend LalorDental.

Our visit was wonderful! The staff were all so friendly, the hygienist who cleaned my kids' teeth was incredible with them and she did a very thorough job, and Dr. Betsey was great too. I'm so happy to have found another great dentist office to go to. I would recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Found my new dentist!!! Went in this morning without an appointment with an agonizing tooth ache. They got me right in and took care of my problem. I struggle with anxiety, especially when it comes to dentistry. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with kindness and compassion. Best experience I’ve ever had at a dentist. Highly recommend. Several staff helped me, I wish remembered all of their names.

Negative experience: Sickened! A dentist in the Horseheads practice failed to identify a major problem that my daughter had. We were told of this major problem by an orthodontist that she saw a day after her appointment with this dentist. I am not sure how this practitioner could have missed this. Unfortunately, the orthodontist informed us that the problem that my daughter has can only be fixed by jaw surgery. I phoned the office manager to tell her of my concerns that this was not identified by the dentist at this visit nor was it identified by this dentist at the previous visit with this practitioner. I told the office manager that the orthodontist told me that my daughter would need jaw surgery to fix the problem. The office manager told me that I was lying, that there was no way that my daughter would need surgery. I am not sure what kind of human being would tell a mother that they were lying about their child needing surgery but, she must be a completely soulless and heartless individual. After taking my daughter for a second opinion at Boston's Children's Hospital and once again learning about the need for surgery, as well as learning about the surgery itself and the recovery process, I would like to say to everyone reading this that I WISH I WAS LYING!!! I wish that my daughter wasn't going to have to give up a month or more during her summer to undergo a surgery with a painful recovery. I wish that my daughter didn't have to undergo this pain and be forced to endure her jaw being wired or a liquid diet. I wish that I didn't have to sit in the waiting room, while my daughter lays on an operating table and pray to God that nothing goes wrong. I don't want to feel this, I don't want to know this, but yet I will endure, and I will be strong for my little girl. I wish to God this was a lie!! And to the office manager who had the audacity to say that I was lying -- shame on you! And if you are a mother yourself -- shame on you even more!

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient at Lalor Dental for several years. Cleanings and dental work has been satisfactory. However my last cleaning was not only unsatisfactory but painful. First person I saw was very friendly and helpful. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth never introduced herself and was not at all friendly. The cleaning procedure was rough and painful. Yanking my mouth/lips, banging my teeth with tools and gagging me twice with the suction. I have requested to not be scheduled with this person again nor any of my family either.

Fantastic experience: I was treated by Chris, a male dental assistant in the Horseheads office. I had a temporary crown fall off and he replaced it with a new one. He was very professional and gentle. I also had a cleaning from dental hygienist, Megan Z. She was very professional and thorough, and had a friendly demeanor. I will be recommending your dental office to others.

Fantastic experience: There are 4 things I love about Lalor. The first is a fun yet professional staff. The office is immaculate as well as the individual exam rooms. When you leave all of your questions and concerns have been fully addressed. Lastly the cookies lol, omg the cookies. On the cookie note it’s not about the sweet treat. I was told it’s actually there for the patients comfort, to relax their stress from the appointment and it works. That’s a detail that sets them apart. They want you to be 100% comfortable while there or about to leave. On a side note: All 3 of my appointments I waited less that 5 minutes before I was taken back(normally about 30). In the room I was never left alone while waiting for the dentist. I was taken care of swiftly and heading home in under an hour. All of the other dental offices I have been too have been at least 2 hours (mostly due to waiting) and as high as 4 hours. Getting in and out as fast as possible is great for us patients because the Dentist is the last place you want to be.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Betsy Clark. What can I say? She saved my smile. I came in with an emergency and within a few hours, everything was as good as new! She and her assistants, myah and I'm sorry I forget my other assistants name, were all friendly, personable, and oh so helpful. Negative experience: Was pleased with them until they stopped taking Delta dental insurance. I get that this is a tactic to increase their rates by this particular insurance company, but doing it at the detriment of patients is frustrating. It also establishes a lack of stability. If you have Delta dental look elsewhere and I hope the number of patients lost can be gained back when they renegotiate their rates with them. Who knows which insurance provider they will drop next...

Fantastic experience: Excellent service! The registration staff was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful, the hygienist was experienced, confidant through and so friendly and made sure I understood everything from beginning to end. The doctor was patient and answered all of my questions with complete explanations and listened to my concerns. It was an overall very pleasant experience especially for a dental visit as I usually have high anxiety. I have no worries or hesitation for my next visit!

Negative experience: All was good until today. After driving an hour to get there, I was called around to the side desk so they could attempt to strong-arm me into paying for work I did not receive. (They tried this the first time i was there and I explained that it was not my account and its not my bill.) I paid for my services that day in full and scheduled my next appointment. Fast forward 6 or 8 months, they tell me that my insurance is out of network and I'll be paying the full amount for my work that day (around $300.00 which was totally fine) then added on the other amount taking it to $700.00. I explained that it was not my bill. They were willing to do nothing. I said "well, I guess I need to find a new office". They shrugged their shoulders and off i went. This was my second visit and they insisted that it be my last.

Negative experience: I have been waiting for over a month to receive a call back from the oral surgeon so that I may have a tooth removed. I’ve been in horrible pain now for 2 months and they have no sense of urgency. The dentist I saw was quick, definitely just another cattle to him. Never introduced himself or acknowledged me as a person. He was in the room for about 1 minute total. I’ll be looking for a new dentist just so I can have a tooth removed. These guys aren’t that great.

Negative experience: Just got home from my appointment this afternoon. I have been going to Lalor for 2-3 years and have always had a great experience. I have high anxiety about going to a dentist and in the past I think I always had Dr Chow. He was great, always had me in and out in less than an hour. I don't know who it was I had today, he didn't introduce himself, but I don't ever want him again. He is not a good fit for someone with fear/anxiety. I will be calling tomorrow to find out who he is. It was a terrible experience today.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Lalor with Dr. Bryant Lambert and his dental assistant!! After having a tooth pulled elsewhere where no anesthetic was utilized, going to Lalor was a 180 degree difference. Lalor made sure that I was comfortable, the staff had a fun personality, there was a friendly atmosphere and professional demeanor. Ps. Sorry for breaking your tools.

Fantastic experience: From the moment you walk in the doors to the end of the visit when you leave, you are treated like family by the kindest most upbeat staff. It's a one stop shop with every procedure and question very well explained, as well as financial resources and savings available to those with interest. Labor always far exceeds my dental standards and I would HIGHLY recommend!
