Fantastic experience: I recently changed dentists as I was unhappy with my previous dentist. From my phone interactions making an appointment to the end of my first appointment everyone at Horizon Dental was so helpful and friendly. My cleaning was very thorough and Dr Dan spent time with me - getting to know me and discussing all my questions and needs. Most importantly, I felt as if they were being transparent and honest throughout the whole process. What a blessing it is to have a dentist you can trust!

Fantastic experience: I had a pleasant experience during my first visit at Horizon Dental. The hygienist was very welcoming and friendly, having small talk, and explaining everything in detail during my cleaning. The rooms are up to date with the technology including a TV on the ceiling for viewing while lying down and a TV in the corner for viewing X-rays and 3D images. Easy check in and check out process.

I met Dorothy Ann at my place of business, thru our conversation she mentioned that she worked at Horizon. Can’t wait for my next follow up appointment so that I can have her take care of me. Negative experience: Don’t not come here. I repeat. I came for my temporary tooth needing a new one until I got a Crown I specifically ask the receptionist if they would be able to put a new temporary in until I could afford a crown and she said yes so I paid the hundred dollar co-pay until I got back into the doctors office then doctor was nasty and so was the doctor helping her and I explained I wish I would’ve known because then I wouldn’t have spent $100 to come to you guys and I kept saying it’s not their fault. The receptionist should’ve told me that. Then I called today to make an appointment to get my crown I called to go there because I already spent $100 of them doing x-rays on my teeth.they say they can’t help me because of Initial visit I’ve asked for a refund the first day I’ve went there and they said they were gonna get back to me never did and they said they were gonna let their management know. Than they called and said I. Let me See for availability then call me back telling me it’s better for my interest to go to a diffrent office because of the first visit. The doctor you saw no longer works here. I told them it’s for your better interest you guys don’t like being told the truth. So if you don’t want your money taken don’t go here

Fantastic experience: I have had a lot of dental work done over the years, this is one of the most competent practices from Dr Hostrander, to reception I have ever been to. Everyone is friendly. Most telling is that everyone are long term employees of the practice. They are meticulous and accommodating. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Just a great place! 5 stars is not enough! -original review- I have been struggling to find a great dentist since moving to SC. After 1 visit, I am happy to say I finally found them. From the amazing office staff to the phenomenal hygienists, and great doc, this place is the best I’ve visited since moving to the Carolina’s. They bend over backwards to make sure you are taken care of and are as comfortable as possible!

The doctors doesn’t make you feel rushed and take their time explaining what procedure they are going to take and how it works for future surgery or appointments. I hate Dental Care until now. Fantastic experience: My prior Dentist did not accept my new insurance so I was on the hunt for a new Dentist. . .Yuk! Received a postcard in the mail from Horizon Dental inviting me to come in. I had my first visit today and was very pleased with the reception I received when I walked through to the door, which extended to my dental hygienist, included my Dentist and my exit person. EVERYBODY was so nice, competent and friendly! My search is OVER! Yea. . .

Fantastic experience: I have been going here for over a 1.5 year now, probably about 4 visits. The practice is a great addition to the Rivergate area and feel lucky to have a great dentist so close by. The office experience is very smooth and friendly, no issues whatsoever. I have always had great experiences with all of their hygienists. But most recently, the last 2 times I've had Kristin as my hygienist. She is amazing, very thorough, knowledgeable about any questions I ask and seems very proactive to ask about issues or helpful tips. Dr. Dan is equally amazing, very thorough, great bedside manner, he remembers the health of your teeth so I'm very thankful for his professionalism and concern. Really great practice overall, with many advanced techniques/tools. You'll be in great hands!

Fantastic experience: From check in to check out, I give them 5 stars! Victoria, one of the hygienists, is absolutely wonderful. She is professional, tells you exactly what she going to be doing, and she’s fast and efficient. Dr. Dan is very personable and thorough with the exam. Always leaving time to ask questions. The office is extremely clean and all 4 times I’ve been, they’ve run on time with my appointments. No sitting around waiting for 15 minutes or more to get seen.

Fantastic experience: By far the best dentist care you can get!! I dreading going to the dentist over the years, every one I tried always would try to find some way to say I needed extra work (and pain and money). I would dread going and hearing what problem they’d find in my mouth this time. But not Horizon! I finally feel relaxed and confident going for my checkups knowing they care about my teeth, know my history, and aren’t there to sell me on anything. Everyone is SUPER DUPER friendly and pleasant to do business with. My husband and I love coming here so much, we recently moved but we agreed we had to find a house still by to our dentist so we didn’t have to switch lol.

Several of my neighbors gave great reviews for Horizon Dental so I decided to give them a try. I had my initial evaluation including x-rays and recommendations for both necessary and possible cosmetic work to be done. Both Kristin (the hygienist) and Dr. Dan Hostrander were terrific. I am happy to say that I have found my new dental practice.

Fantastic experience: I'm approaching eighty years of age and have spent more time in dental chairs since I was four years old than I should admit. Over those many years I have had mostly good experiences with my dental care. But, my recent discovery of Horizon Dental thanks to a family member's experience and recommendation has been off the charts! The dentists, dental hygienists, PA's and every single staff member I've encountered are competent, courteous, and very cordial. I am looking forward to more very good experiences into the future .

They use the latest dental technology, they accept lots of insurance (United Dental for me), they are pleasant, TV’s everywhere…put the chair back, you’ve got a TV on the ceiling to look at, the staff is fun, courteous, good attitude…when I went, I mentioned it was my birthday and before I left, I had a Birthday card signed by the entire staff…they didn’t have to do that, but they did…it’s just example of how they treat their patients. Not to mention the thorough and professional dental work they do!

Positive experience: Great service and friendly doctors/staff; however, seem to often overlooked too many patients causing a delay/ a rush and not able to treat one patient with undivided attention which is needed on a complicated procedure.

Fantastic experience: This office, from my experience, was everything and more when it came to what I was looking for as a first time patient. I came here for what I deemed an emergency extraction. Not only was the receptionist(s) all incredibly sweet and welcoming, the Dr. and his manager and assistant were like angels with scalpels the entire time lol. Quick and painless extraction and they do everything within their capabilities as professionals and as humans to ensure an easy path to healing. Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this dentist, I used to have severe anxiety going to the dentist and after going here for a few years my anxiety is completely gone. I can get fillings and root canals done with no worry. They even have and emotional support dog there if you need it. Everyone is very personable and I feel like the people there genuinely care about me. When my brother passed away they were so comforting and understanding and even sent me something in the mail!! Highly recommend this place and I’ll never go anywhere else!!!

Fantastic experience: Went for my first visit today! I was amazed!!! The staff are professional, compassionate and caring. The anxiety I have just thinking of going to the dentist is ridiculous, but this team of people were warm and welcoming. Honestly the BEST experience I've ever had, and trust me, I've been to several dentist. If I could, I'd give 10 stars! Thanks Doctor/dentist Daniel Hostrander and team for an all around great visit this morning. I'm excited and happy to finally have a dental office that I can trust!
