Positive experience: The dentists were very knowledgeable and skilled! They were efficient, thorough in their explanations, and patiently open to responding to our questions. The billing and partnership with insurance has been a bit disorganized, though. We're receiving bills and invoices that are dated from months ago. I'd recommend asking for the entire bill and keep track of your insurance payouts.

Negative experience: please don’t go here! they will ruin your teeth and then charge you to fix their mistakes. go to the clifton location for better service and knowledgeable doctors. Maria is such a rude person and she has no idea what her job is. Dr. Lee and Dr. Sabil behave like dental hygienists.—they are not real doctors, this place feels like an incompetent startup. they’re wasting your time and money here.

Negative experience: This is not a safe place for you and your children if you are on the fence about your orthodontic care. This place operates like a brand new startup, they employ cellphone obsessed drones that don’t pay attention to their customers even if there’s an emergency. There is 0 professionalism here and you can tell that almost all their doctors are just dental assistants and hygienists that failed their way into a startup that will hire anyone regardless of their qualifications. (they can’t even scan your teeth properly if you’ve still got your wisdom teeth in!) Your teeth and bite will end up way worse after paying for their services and they do everything they can to avoid accountability for their mistakes, unprofessionalism and blatant ineptitude.—i’m hoping that this north bergen location is just the outlier, i switched my services to the clifton locations and lets hope actually have real doctors working there.

Negative experience: While I appreciate the services provided especially the cheap price for braces, I did encounter several issues during my visits. I now consider this place a patient mill. On multiple occasions, the staff appeared unprofessional, engaging in casual conversations—even while attending to patients. Additionally, conversations were often held in Spanish, while I understand and respect the use of diverse languages, it may be alienating for non-Spanish-speaking patients and can contribute to a lack of clear communication. The clinic itself lacks privacy, as the open treatment layout allows for visibility of other patients being treated, which may be uncomfortable for some, especially those who've been to a more private orthodontic office before. Despite having scheduled appointments, there were significant delays in being seen—it is not uncommon to wait15 to 30 minutes in the chair before being attended to by a doctor or assistant. Other times, I was seen right away, but the doctor or assistants would alternate between multiple patients, which extended my overall visit time significantly—sometimes to nearly an hour. I also experienced discomfort due to what I perceived as a lack of care during adjustments. On more than one occasion, the dental assistants appeared rough in their technique, which resulted in a locked jaw and recurring canker sores that lasts for days. Lastly, Dr. Refka Salib, while I understand each provider has their own approach, I found her skills and attention to detail lacking. When my braces were removed, the procedure felt rushed. There was no final polish or refinement, leaving my teeth feeling rough and uneven. Immediate photographs were taken without giving me the opportunity to express concerns or discuss final results. The overall outcome of my treatment did not align with the expectations I had when beginning care, nor with experiences I've had at other orthodontic practices. Based on this, I would hesitate to recommend your clinic to others seeking orthodontic care. Although you can't deny it is fairly cheap, less than $3,000 for braces. They did offer me a flat price for all their types of braces at the beginning. That said, I sincerely do hope this clinic will take this feeback into consideration to improve and take better quality care of their patients. Because at the end of the day, they have to see patients everyday while their patients only come in once or twice a month to see them. They should make a good professional impression every time—it is vital that each visit reflect the highest standards of care and respect.

Negative experience: Customer service is mediocre, I only arrived 20 minutes late and they told me they had to give me another appointment and they couldn't serve me. Sometimes you arrive half an hour early and you have to wait an hour.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough about this practice from the time that you walk in the office being greeted until the time you leave you feel like you’re at home in your living room with family. All the staff are so polite. They show you the upmost respect share some jokes talk about the process and how your coming along. They can be your therapist if you need them to be lol but in all seriousness, this is the best location that I’ve been to everyone here works as a collective unit. Negative experience: I finished my treatment here 6 years ago. The orthodontist used a grinder on my front two teeth and now they are visibly thinner and permanently darker/discolored because the enamel is exposed- I've felt so self conscious of my teeth ever since and regret ever coming here.

Negative experience: I began my orthodontic treatment at Diamond Braces North Bergen in November 2022. While I’m still a patient (set to finish this month), I feel compelled to share my full experience—both the kindness I received and the significant frustrations that ultimately led me to seek treatment elsewhere. The Good: From the start, the staff has been consistently warm, friendly, and respectful. Every appointment began with a welcoming greeting, and the team showed professionalism throughout. Their personal kindness helped me get through a challenging process, and I sincerely appreciate that human touch. They also treated my health concerns (I’m a stroke survivor) with compassion, never making me feel judged. The Problems: Despite the great staff demeanor, my treatment was marred by avoidable delays and technical missteps. Midway through, I requested to switch from braces to Invisalign due to medical reasons. Unfortunately, the transition was poorly handled. My teeth were scanned for Invisalign with the brackets still on, which distorted the trays. The first set didn’t fit. A second scan was taken—again with brackets—and after another long wait, I learned the order was never received by the lab. Months were lost in this back-and-forth, and I eventually gave up and returned to braces, completely disheartened. My Bite Got Worse: Though my teeth continued to straighten, a troubling posterior open bite developed—my back teeth no longer met when biting down, making eating difficult. I brought this up at multiple appointments, but my concerns were brushed aside. I was told I was “almost done” and should prepare for retainers, despite my bite being clearly misaligned. Eventually, I sought a second opinion. The new orthodontist confirmed that I had several unresolved issues: a gap between molars, misaligned roots, a newly developed overbite, slanted lower teeth, and unbracketed rear molars. He estimated I would need up to a year more of Invisalign or six months with braces to correct everything. This was heartbreaking to hear after over two years in treatment. Health Considerations: As a stroke survivor, metal braces presented a serious challenge during an emergency MRI. I asked to switch back to Invisalign again for safety reasons. While the orthodontist acknowledged the issues and agreed more treatment was needed, I’m still waiting on a follow-up that hasn’t come. In Summary: What I appreciated: Friendly, professional staff who showed genuine care. They treated me with respect and empathy, especially around my health needs. What disappointed me: Poor communication, overlooked treatment details, preventable delays, and my concerns being dismissed. The management of my case was chaotic at times and ultimately led to new bite issues that were worse than what I started with. I share this not out of spite but with the hope that the practice improves. Patients trust orthodontists with their smiles and well-being—carelessness with scans, miscommunication about orders, and downplaying bite problems can deeply impact lives. I urge Diamond Braces to double-check technical steps, listen more closely, and treat every concern seriously before calling a case “complete.” As of now, I can no longer continue treatment here. I’m having my braces removed and finishing my care elsewhere. I hope my experience encourages growth and helps future patients avoid the setbacks I faced. Update: I called customer service today since I hadn’t received a callback. I was informed that someone attempted to reach me yesterday. If that’s the case, I’d appreciate a voice message next time to confirm. The soonest available appointment to remove my braces is May 8th, despite expressing my urgency. I’ll continue wearing the brackets until then it seems. In the meantime, I’ve noticed the gap between my top and bottom molars has increased since my last visit just last week.

Fantastic experience: Love diamond braces I'm towards the end of my treatment and went in today to get a build up and they made the process so smooth, they were super understanding of my time crunch before my wedding and as always professional. The Orthodontist doctor salias (Sorry if I didn't get name right) and mierdliey( sorry if name if spelled wrong!) all the staff really is very attentive and the girls that work at the front are always sooo nice and great at communication. I am a very anxious person and a bit insecure about my teeth so I ask too many questions and they answer all of them with the best attitude. space is very clean as well!

Negative experience: Awful experience with this place. My child had his braces put on right before Covid. Paid my part. They continued to bill monthly DURING Covid…knowing very well no one, especially not children were going ANYWHERE, per the CDC they were sent home from school, they went out of network during that same time period, and instead of honoring the fact that they had been fully paid, when my child went back 9 MONTHS LATER, they wanted to bill me for each visit and wouldn’t see him until I paid. Notified the insurance company of this and they started that they will not send back payment for the fraudulent charges they got paid for.

Negative experience: I brought my daughter here so when I started my journey to correcting my smile of course I came back for myself. Kiara, Maria, Jackie, and Dr Muñoz made this so quick and easy and accommodating…. BUT once I began my journey it has been a nightmare ever since. I paid (out of pocket) for ceramic braces. And when I asked for a copy of pricing now no one speaks English. And they gave me the run around for a month to get pricing…..Not once did they explain they don’t do ceramic top and bottom. I had to find that out once they put the bottom on a month after putting the top on…. To them not even giving instruction for what to eat how to care for braces, nothing! Now I drive 45 mins to my appointment and they say they’re closed. I asked why was that not communicated and they said we called and left a voicemail I showed the receptionist my voicemail and there was nothing she said well I don’t know what to tell you. The quality of care and communication is horrible!
