Positive experience: The dentist and his assistants were phenomenal. No complaints at all. They understood that some children are difficult and were ready for whatever was going to happen. Luckily my daughter was very calm and her anxiety didn’t overtake her today. Thanks to the assistants who were patient and kind to her. The reason I have a 4 star review is due to the checkout lady. She has an attitude when I asked her a question. And even gave her coworker a look as if she was aggravated with me.I was also told to have a seat in order to check out and she left me there waiting while attending other customers that were not there before I was there. She was unprofessional and not kind. Otherwise the rest of the front desk staff were incredible and quick to help. I highly recommend this place of business.

Fantastic experience: We have used Dr. Norby for almost 10 years. We love him and his staff! They have always been so kind to my two kids.

Negative experience: We waited over half an hour for my daughter’s appointment. Receptionists were nice, but Dr. Norby didn’t even talk to my daughter. Instead he just spoke with the dental hygienist. I wasn’t impressed.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Norby, and every single person that works there, are amazing. Having special needs children makes everyday needs like a dentist visit exponentially harder. Dr. Norby and his staff treat every single child at their level with love, compassion, and great skill. My children NEVER complain about going, and they have had teeth pulled and cavities filled! The waiting area is fun and ocean themed, with a castle to climb in and a gaming console. The treatment areas are also themed, with TVs above each chair. They reward the kiddos with praise, a balloon, and small toys. Every cleaning gives them a bag filled with floss, a toothbrush, and toothpaste. I wish I could be treated here, too!

Fantastic experience: We always have a great experience with my boys. This has not always been the case as other dentist offices with my kids. They feel at ease whether with the hygienists, assistants or physicians. They aren’t quick to recommend unnecessary treatments and always willing to work with our schedule.

Fantastic experience: I have been using Dr. Norby since my 20 year old was little and then up until now for my 11 year old. They are all super sweet there. My one complaint is that it takes MONTHS to get an appointment especially if you have to reschedule for any reason. My son just got a cavity filed today that they found at his last appointment in near the first of the year. This WAS the first available appointment. I am thinking about getting a new dentist just because the amount of time it takes to get anything done when you need some work. However, when you can get in, it’s a great experience!

Positive experience: I do love this office, but the 4 stars is because of the unavailability. If I ever have to reschedule an appt, you can't get another one for atleast 6 months out! My daughter has been a client here for several years, and we love the beautiful ocean themed office and the staff. No complaints other than the long waits for appts. Office is painted in a beautiful under the sea theme. Fun colors everywhere, very welcoming for children, including a small play area in waiting room. We live over an hour away, but we like this staff, so we stick with it.

Negative experience: I’m honestly so disappointed. We were referred here for dental work from a dentistry in Gadsden, only to get there & instead of doing the dental work, Dr. Bennett (I believe that was her name) said my daughter instead needed 7 extractions and a crown. My daughter is 7. I took her back to her original dentistry in Gadsden for a second opinion because they never said anything about extractions and this morning, the dentist we saw looked flabbergasted & couldn’t understand why they would want to extract 7 teeth that could be filled & saved. We will not be returning. It is so horrific to go get seen for fillings and be told your children will be losing teeth that won’t even come back until 10-12 years old instead.

Fantastic experience: I can not express how amazing they are with my son! He is non verbal autistic and has anxiety when visiting the dentist due to a bad experience at his previous dentist. They were super patient with him and did everything to adhere to him and his needs. I highly recommend to anyone especially parents with special needs children!

Fantastic experience: You will not go wrong taking your child to see Dr. Norby. My sons started seeing Dr. Norby when they were each a year old. Now they’re 20 and 15 and I have NOT regretted the decision to have him as their dentist one time! Dr. Norby is such an incredible practitioner: knowledgeable, caring, and involved. He has an excellent bedside manner and always answers questions. His hygienists are the same (always have been). My older son has aged out, but my younger son still has a few more years with Dr. Norby and, I’m grateful.

Fantastic experience: I have only visited Dr. Norby's office 1 time, and was very happy with the way it went! The beautiful ladies up front were super friendly, sweet, and i felt like ive known them my whole life or something! I was just very comfortable, and welcomed. Also they have a great little play area to keep the kids entertained while waiting our turn to be called to the back! Dr. Norby is amazing!!! He has been doing his job as a dentist with kids for 40 years+, and i could just tell that he loves his job! And he truly cares about the kids, and their smile, and their over all health!!! He went through every pissible option for my 5 year old daughter, andhe gave his opinion on what he thought would be best for us! I just wiah he could work on my teeth, but he refuses to wprk on adults!!!! Thats the only downer to this!!! Theres nothing i can complain about! Only great and positive things to say about this place and these folks working here!!! And the ladies at the front desk ask about doctors excuses before i could even mention it. Im extremely bad about forgetting to get 1 so the fact that they are on top of 5hat is awesome.!!! 5 stars plus 5 more multiplied by 10 to the max!!! This place is a great place for kids and their teeth! And i will definately go back in the future with my children!!!

Negative experience: This was my sons first dentist appointment and i was told when i called and made the appointment that they were equipped to handle children with special needs. This did not seem to be true, he has had nightmares for the last few hours screaming about the dentist office and ended up vomiting from the amount of fluoride he swallowed during the visit. He and I both left in tears and stressed out, the meltdown that followed lasted for 3 hours before he collapsed out of sheer exhaustion. As the parent of autistic/adhd child, this was exactly what I was trying to avoid by calling and asking beforehand if they could handle a child with additional needs. It is going to take me months to undo this negative association he now has with the dentist because he was rushed, the assistant telling him we don't have a lot of minutes because they have other people to see, was not helpful especially since we waited nearly an hour after his appointment time to be seen and i didnt complain because i thought that meant they would take their time with him since transitions are hard for him. So after being rushed and then having to be pinned down and bear held just to get things done, he absolutely hated the entire experience past the waiting room, which i won't lie, was incredible, he had a blast playing in the castle and with the game, but that is where the positive experience ended for him.
