Fantastic experience: Dr. Soch was very nice, respectful, and considerate of my time. Didn’t try to proceed with unnecessary treatment, just got straight to the facts and what to do to take care of things!

Fantastic experience: If I could give 10 stars I would. This was the bougiest dentist office I’ve ever visited! I said “fancy” when I was there, but I think bougie is better. I felt like it was a spa for my teeth. The dental hygienist was SO kind and friendly. I hope to see her again on my next visit. Dr. Madden is also very friendly, courteous, and efficient. This entire office was amazing. Everything was so clean and thoughtful. They have monitors/TVs to entertain you during the teeth cleaning AND I unexpectedly received a welcome bag. That being said, I’m definitely returning here and so glad I found this office after just moving to the area this year.

Negative experience: I called to make an appointment and confirm my insurance was accepted at this facility. I was informed it was so they got in me as early as possible. The staff was great overall. My issue is the same as a lot of the negative reviews on here. Once I arrived they told me that my insurance required me to pre-pay for the services but that they were all covered. I agreed to that not knowing. I told them we can do anything that was covered for the regular yearly service. After multiple X-rays and photos they cleaned my teeth and sent me out to pay. I was very surprised to be charged $650 for this service. I asked about why if they accepted my insurance it was costing me so much out of pocket considering I have never been charged more than a co-pay before. After much discussion they said that if the insurance doesn't cover part of it then I will be reimbursed. That seems pretty fair and to their credit they did reimburse me for the majority (around $450) due to the insurance not paying for it. I finally had to ask myself why this just happened and started reading their reviews. They did NOT look up my insurance to confirm coverage and did NOT inform me that my insurance was "out of network" at their facility. To me this is a very dishonest way of doing business. What if I had not had the $650 to loan them for a while while they processed my insurance? I suppose they would have turned me away for service that day instead of doing their job and confirming insurance coverage and being honest about that to the clients up front.

I have very awful dental anxiety, so I put off doing what I needed to do for much longer than I should have— Dr. Davis and the rest of the team held absolutely no judgment! He was gentle and patient with me, but also upfront about what needed to be done, all things that I value in a dentist! Dr. Davis also accommodated my requests and made a genuine effort to ensure that I was as comfortable as possible. The tech working with him when I got work done, Angel, was absolutely spectacular! She had a great, positive attitude that really helped take my anxiety away before they got started. I can’t recommend this practice enough!

Malorie Sloan, my dental assistant was very friendly, thorough and made sure I was comfortable while doing my x-rays and polishing my teeth. Fanta Edwards, my hygienist was very friendly and did an amazing job cleaning my teeth with detail and a gentle touch. Dr. Davis was professional, thorough and listened to my concerns. Already looking forward to my next appointment.

Fantastic experience: Dr Acton is great! Approachable and personable. Most of the hygienists are also detailed and thorough, and nice to chat with. Nice atmosphere, well designed waiting area, pleasant front desk overall.

Fantastic experience: Being a dentist myself, I was very picky about where I would go to get my third molar removed. Dr Madden and the team were fantastic. She is extremely soft spoken, considerate and gives top notch care. She was able to get my stubborn tooth removed in matter of minutes. Would go to her, and take my family, for all dental care in the future. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Excellent high quality care. Very efficient and pleasant but very skilled also. They are very interested in providing high quality care and a comfortable experience. The office is relatively large with multiple providers and this concerned me at first…I had a very poor experience and serious dental problems caused by a large dental “chain” previously. This is not like that and just a very well run professional setting that puts the actual “care” back in patient care. I am new to the practice but my hygienist Liz was the best I have ever had. Soft touch, methodical, no discomfort and very thorough. Images are taken along with normal depth chart…interested in a baseline - teeth presentation, bite and getting you where you need to be. I am quite happy that this is my new dentist - Dr. Eric Davis. He is a good listener and again, the focus is on the treatment and good outcomes. My only regret is that I wasn’t a patient until now.

Fantastic experience: I was in town for business and had an unexpected temporary crown break. I called in a panic. The office staff was calm and reassuring. Dr Acton and his Dental Assistant were amazing. They made me feel confident that I was in the right place and they were going to take good care of me. And they absolutely did!!

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient at Cary Family Dental. My first appointment here was great! My hygienist at Cary Family Dental was amazing! She listened to my concerns and was very attentive to them. I was treated professionally and with curtesy throughout the whole visit. The Dentist came in to examine a few of my problem areas and was very knowledgeable, kind, and gave a clear detailed explanation of what he observed and his recommendations. Fantastic experience: I have always experienced dental anxiety, even as an adult. However, my experience at this practice has completely changed my perspective. Following several procedures, including extractions, I no longer feel apprehensive about visiting the dentist. The staff consistently demonstrate professionalism and courtesy, and I always feel comfortable requesting a break during treatment if needed. I highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: As somebody who has a lot of anxiety, quality of care is super important to me. Liz and Dr. Madden were amazing. They did everything they could to make sure I felt comfortable, asked questions, and checked in with me throughout the process. The front were polite and welcoming. I highly recommend them.

Positive experience: UPDATE: the office called and informed me that my payment included prepayment for dental work per treatment plan. The total I paid was not solely for a dental cleaning which was my biggest concern. I received a reimbursement for my prepayment which was very appreciated. Beware! They are known to DECEIVE people into thinking they accept dental insurance. Paid way too much for my dental cleaning and they led me to believe I wouldn’t have to pay anything since cleanings are fully covered by my insurance.

Fantastic experience: Ana was amazing today. She was calm and assured me that I would be okay during my teeth cleaning and my teeth have never looked better. No pain, and I was so relieved after a painful cleaning years ago. Dr. W is amazing as well. He is genuine, thorough, and a good human. The staff are friendly, timely, and on point. The office is modern, clean, and in a great location. This practice blew me away so much that I have already referred them to clients and friends. So happy that I found them. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Negative experience: Don’t ignore the 1 star reviews. They will say they’re in network to get you in the door and “write off” the cleaning to get you to stay. They’re not contracted with any insurance which is how they get away with charging almost $400 per filling. They gave me false insurance estimates and then sent me a bill for 4x more. That’s why they keep a card on file!!! Note that when you point out the shadiness, you will get excuses in return.

Negative experience: Terrible Experience – Completely Unprofessional and Not Family Friendly I’m absolutely appalled by the treatment my two children, ages 16 and 14, received at Cary Family Dentistry. My husband and I have been long-time patients, so we trusted them for our children's first non-pediatric dental appointments. Unfortunately, this experience has made us lose all trust in this practice. Due to my children’s busy school and sports schedules, we scheduled their appointments on a day when my husband and I were in the office, but they were out of school. The office is just minutes from our home, and my 16-year-old son drove them both to their appointments. From the moment they arrived, the staff acted shocked that my daughter was 14 years old and proceeded to treat her with extreme disrespect. The real issue came when the staff began loudly discussing, right outside my daughter’s room, how “irresponsible” it was for us not to attend her appointment. They made unnecessary and hurtful comments about her teeth, wrongly assuming she had just recently had a cleaning, saying things like “why is she even here?” and that the hygienist didn’t want to “waste her time.” These remarks were not only inaccurate but incredibly inappropriate. They repeatedly questioned why she was there at all, adding to the distress. My daughter, who was already anxious about her first adult dental visit, called me in tears after the appointment, heartbroken by the way they had spoken about her and our family. The level of unprofessionalism is absolutely shocking, and no patient—especially a minor—should ever be made to feel so belittled and embarrassed. This is NOT a family-friendly practice, and I am devastated that my children’s first experience with an adult dentist was such a nightmare. We will be finding a new dentist who actually cares about and respects their patients. If you value professionalism, kindness, and a welcoming environment, I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Just moved to the state and finding a good dentist is stressful but im so glad i found Cary Family! Ana is an excellent hygienist, she was very sweet and informative throughout the entire appointment.

Negative experience: Worst dental experience I’ve ever had. The hygienist was extremely rude and reminded me multiple times that the office closes at 5pm. I went for a cleaning and to fix a loose crown of which neither were completed but I was still charged. I was told there was not enough time to perform both items even though I explained all this when making the appointment; the hygienist informed me to pick one because we close at 5. Much time was wasted taking orthodontic photos, I’m guessing to try and upsell me clear aligners at some point, I couldn’t understand why this was priority. I must also mention that my girlfriend is a professor of orthodontics and is one of the leading researchers in the United States and possibly the world for clear aligners, she has over 50 publications in orthodontic research; so I know what I’m talking about.

Negative experience: I do not like the vibe at all anymore. I have switched . Health Care seems to be changed to health money. Prior work failed no accountability. Made me laugh they now sell a warranty with there work of course that's extra. So customer buys at extra cost a warranty dentist gets paid no impact to them. I can see there business model evolving. No accountability. I can do better and I did. This is the response to the owners response. The response was canned and as expected. If you dedicated to excellence I would say you are in need of a quality control audit bigly. Save your $10 words and canned fairytale response as the actions do not meet the Truth.

Fantastic experience: You can’t beat the staff at Cary Family Dental. Fanta is the best dental hygienist I’ve seen in 20+ years — great cleanings, quick, personable, and doesn’t make you want to avoid the dentist for years. Dr. Wooten and the reception staff were friendly, professional, and super helpful with all of my questions. They’ve managed to turn going to the dentist into a pleasant experience, which is much easier said than done.

Negative experience: This is a gready scammy factory. Told them I had no insurance and they find way to take the most amount of money out of your pocket , while sending you home to come in the next time.After you pay them they refer you out for a simple root canal. This place has like 20-25 employees work at the same time, so with huge operating cost, I guess, they need to take your last penny and some. For a simple troot canal they referred me to a place that would have charge me almost $3000 and including a simple composite filling on the tooth they are working on for $600. i wonder how much kick back they are getting. When I had appointments for chekup, they they keep charging me and they cannot do the procedure that day, and find ways to schedule you the most amount of times with the minimal work they can do at once, so you'll end up broke, without getting the work done.

Fantastic experience: Excellent, friendly, and helpful staff, very detail oriented in helping you provide a sufficient plan for your overall dental/oral health. Outstanding job on teeth. This will be my go to dentist as long as I reside in the area.

Negative experience: Cary Family Dental has been the absolute WORST experience I’ve ever had at a dentist. The staff failed on multiple occasions. When I made my first appointment, I made it a point to ask if my insurance was accepted as I do not like dealing with the extra paperwork that comes with submitting claims. So when I arrived for my first appointment, I was asked to pay in full for my 6 month cleaning treatment. I’ve never been asked to pay it up front before and when I asked why, I was told that I must pay in full first and my insurance will send me a check for what they cover. This was NOT explained to me when I made my appointment or I would have not made the appointment, so obviously, I am irritated. I give my credit card information over to pay for the cleaning and I take a seat. Then I hear the lady who checks me in, turns and COMPLAINS about me to her colleague - loud enough for me to hear the conversation of the gull of people thinking they don’t have to pay for dental treatments when it states on all of their forms that payment in full is required. First, that was not the issue, the issue was that I was told the wrong information regarding my insurance. The second part of my appointment was to attach a crown that had come off. Once I was taken back, I was told the doctor did not have time to attach my crown (more misinformation given to me when I made the appointment) and I had to come back the following day AND now prepay for that appointment. Of course, between the time I left the dentist and the appointment the next day, I lost the crown. I made an appointment to get a brand new crown - and I emphasized this when I made my appointment. I did not have the crown anymore to put back on. To my surprise when I went in for a new crown, the doctor had no idea I needed a new crown. So he sends one of the front desk people to me to explain the costs for a new crown. Oh, and they would not have time to create a new crown on that day so they would need me to come back AGAIN! The front desk person tells me that it will cost just under $3000 for a new crown. That is almost 3 times the amount I have paid for crowns in the past. They are usually around $1000 without insurance. With the multiple mistakes and their very high prices, I left to never return. I would absolutely NOT recommend Cary Family Dental. They are more expensive than other dental offices and have TERRIBLE front desk staff. I ended up making an appointment at Lane & Associates. They were fabulous - treated me like any patient should be treated and have the normal dental prices that I'm used to. And no paperwork! If you are looking for a new dentist, go to Lane & Associates!

Fantastic experience: Just want to give a huge shout out to my hygienist Liz. She had an incredible demeanor and was super helpful with giving me some tips, including recommending a new type of floss to help me combat build up. She even helped me find a new box for my night guard and was just overall pleasant. She's the type of person that makes this business somewhere where I like to take my entire family. You're amazing, Liz!

Negative experience: WOW is all I can say. This place is a business scam through and through. They say they take all insurances but really barely use them. I’ve never had to pay $300 for a cleaning not insurance to only way $63 of it??? They ask for a credit card to be on file clearly now I know why. The facility inside looks nice (should for how much they overcharge). It was the most painful cleaning I’ve ever had and they said I had multiple cavities (got a 2nd opinion and I’m good) and charged me almost $1000 for them before even having the appointment??? I luckily got that refunded. Since when do you pay for a medical service in full before it’s even performed? I will never be coming back to this scam and I’m honestly convinced all the 5 start reviews are fake.

Negative experience: My boyfriend had one appointment at this Dentist and will not go back. This is disheartening as it was hard to convince him to go in the first place and now he needs to find a new place. The office charged his card without authorization and attempted to charge him for procedures not needed. They give you a goody bag with a drinking class and tooth brush but do not be fooled.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wooten and his dental assistant, Hailey, were so wonderful helping with my cavities. I have alot of anxiety going in for dental work and they were empathetic and listened to my needs. They were also gentle handed. The actual work was really well done too! I've had cavity fillings before, and I usually need to go have them adjust the bite after the numbing wears off. Dr. Wooten got all 3 in the first go! And one filling was a front tooth, so looks mattered too. Dr. Wooten got my front tooth to look better then it had looked for years. I highly recommend this practice and these 2 helpful human beings!

The other practice was an absolute nightmare and I hadn’t been to the dentist in years. Dr. Davis took the time to go over everything thoroughly and ensure I was comfortable. My hygienist Tori was amazing and gave me the best cleaning ever after a couple years of not being able to go to the dentist from lack of insurance. Fantastic experience: I had the best experience here!! Would highly recommend - they give you a new patient goodie bag and explain everything to you! Carla is phenomenal, I never want to go there without her! Dr. Madden is super sweet and very knowledgeable, she even called me before my appt to see if I had any questions!

Negative experience: Just relocated to NC and new to the area. Found really good Google reviews so I filled all the paperwork for both me and my husband, hoping to make this our long-term dental place. However, the first experience was not good and they were not professional at all. I filled out my insurance info two days before my appointment. The night before my appointment 9:45pm I got a text message from the clinic asking me to re-complete the insurance form because they couldn’t find it. Then 9:52pm I got an email saying it was a mistake and they found it. The next day morning at 7am I arrived at the front desk ready for my appointment, and they told me I had to pay in full ($645) due to my insurance policy. I wish they could’ve informed me earlier, even a couple of hours was enough maybe around the time they texted or emailed me regarding my insurance. But they didn’t. AND the hilarious part is the front desk lady insisted they called me, but I have all my call history and couldn’t find any record of their call. Well, I won’t go back to that place again. I trust them and they just throw it away. A total waste of time - from filling out all the paperwork (they have like ten different documents need to be filled for each person) to the time spent driving there (I live 20min away and only wanted to find a really good dentist). But they just left me feeling uncomfortable.

Liz is my dental hygienist and she is very thorough with her feedback as she explains everything she is doing and meticulous about ensuring my teeth were clean. Fantastic experience: If you are looking are excellence, look no farther. Dr. Acton delivers, every time. The most personable staff, the best equipment, and his level of expertise make going to the dentist so very enjoyable. I have confidence in his treatment plans and his ability to provide therapeutic service. The ambience of the office is professional and tranquil. And there is plenty of parking. So very grateful! Fantastic experience: I changed dentists due to insurance coverage in October 2022. Today was my third visit for a cleaning and I had probably the best experience with a dental hygienist ever. Liz did an amazing job. She is very careful using the high-pressure water to clean close to the gums. There was no discomfort after Liz finished my cleaning. Dr. Wooten is excellent and thorough as well. Today's experience at Cary Family Dental was the “cats’ meow” and they have the best lib balm!

I didn't have to wait almost at all to go back for my cleaning, and all of the dental hygienists are incredibly thorough and awesome! Fantastic experience: Amazing dentist and hygienist!! I have requested getting numbed for my dental cleanings for a number of years because my teeth are so sensitive. However, Fanta is so gentle and thorough in cleaning my teeth that I no longer request anesthesia. I also had a veneer fracture and was dreading getting it replaced. Dr. Kristin Madden made me feel comfortable as soon as she came into the room with her gentle touch, kindness and infinite patience. The new veneer was even more beautiful than my old one. Dr. Madden meticulously matched my tooth color and covered more of the tetracycline staining of my tooth so that my smile is as amazing as Dr. Madden. I trust her to do anything in my my mouth.

Positive experience: Dr. Wooten, Amber & Fanta are amazing. The dental & patient care here is top notch, and you can tell they all truly care about the patients as people. Amber calmed my nerves tenfold during a filling, and Fanta has the best energy. Highly highly recommend Dr. Wooten, he’s communicative during procedures and has a very gentle touch. Mackenzie from the front desk is also super sweet. Only 4 stars rather than 5 because the other blonde woman who works in reception is terribly rude. I originally had written a more negative review about the front desk staff in general, but now I’m realizing it’s just her. Everyone else is lovely, but interacting with her always makes me feel like I’m a number rather than a person. Every time I’ve spoken with her, the interaction has felt negative, and it really clouds the whole experience at the office.

Negative experience: I had a great experience with the dental care, however will not be returning because Cary Family Dental lied to me about costs. They have zero transparency about their insurance cost policies and failed to include that they don’t accept ANY type of insurance in full. Cary Family Dental told me that they take my insurance prior to my visit and that I would be FULLY covered, but then at my visit I was made aware that this practice doesn’t accept any insurance in full, and that all insurance is out of network. I even called to check with them twice prior to my appointment and was reassured twice by staff. Before you go to Cary Family Dental, please make sure you are aware that they are not in network for ANY insurance company. It’s such a shame this practice isn’t upfront with their patients about insurance costs, because I really enjoyed the care I received by their dental staff.

Negative experience: I found this practice on google.They came up, I called and filled out the online paperwork the week before my appointment date. When I arrived on Tuesday I was told my insurance was inactive, which it is not, and I would either have to pay 645 out of pocket or reschedule my appointment. I opted to reschedule. I am upset I wasn’t called either the Friday the week before or on Monday about my insurance being inactive. I could have reached back out to my insurance company and provided whatever information this dental office needed before I showed up. I also was sent the online paperwork 3 times via text and email after I originally filled it out. This is a system error you guys need to address. I was honestly worried my information wasn’t received. The front staff was not welcoming nor friendly. I called to speak with and office manager to provide feedback about my experience and was told the office manager was out of town for a week. It wasn’t until I explained that I had a bad experience that I was offered an email to one of the dentist. I’ve never had to leave a credit card on file at any dental practice I’ve gone to. I just thought this was weird. It leaves room to go back and charge the patient for a cost they weren’t expecting. I’m big on first impressions. This is my first dentist office down here in NC. It was not a positive experience. I do not recommend cary dental.

Fantastic experience: I had the most amazing visit today despite not having been to a dentist for 5 years due to fear. I was super impressed with the hygienist who was so calming and they even asked about possible barriers to care which is so important. Dr Wooten and the hygienist took the time to explain the plan of care and why. They also are willing to do nitrous gas for my upcoming procedure. So amazing thanks you guys!

Negative experience: I have been going to this dentist for about two years or so. The hygienist and assistant have always been great. The admin / office staff have always been impersonal and treat you like a number. I thought this practice would be more personal since it’s not a large corporate practice, but unfortunately the admin is set up just like a large office. Every time I go in, there are always several admin / office staff but they aren’t really doing anything with the customers. The customers fill out the information online. The last straw occurred this month. I had my normal appointment scheduled and received a request to update my insurance two days (Thursday) before the appointment. I filled out the forms Friday night before the appointment on Saturday. When I clicked the link to complete the forms, the notification said I had until Monday to complete the forms. When I arrive to my appointment I am told that they haven’t verified my insurance yet so I either have to pay in full or reschedule. They could have called that morning to tell me that before I drove to my appointment. Well now that they have verified my insurance and submitted a claim they refuse to refund the amount until the claim is processed which can take a month or two. Why do they get to keep my money despite submitting a claim to my insurance? This is not a reputable way to do business. Find another dentist that doesn’t treat you like a number and actually cares about the patients versus just taking your money.

Fantastic experience: I’ve never liked going to the dentist. I’ve been to four different places in the last 3 years. BUT, I loved Cary Family Dental! I had Karen as my dental hygienist and she was great! She made me feel very comfortable and at ease! My dentist was Dr.Davis, who is is very knowledgeable and was incredibly helpful with the questions I had!

Fantastic experience: I have finally found an honest Dental practice. I love Dr. Wooten and all of the supporting Dental Hygienists and Techs I have encountered here. They are kind, knowledgeable and straightforward. Clean office and so far all of the work from my dental plan was done correctly and at the cost or lower then what I was quoted.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing, the best dentist experience I've ever had! Went for an emergency weekend visit, then again for a filling. I have a lot of anxiety about fillings due to previous experiences elsewhere, but this was completely different - I was out the door in 45 minutes and I barely felt a thing.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended for patients with dental anxiety! Everyone I interacted with from the patient care coordinators, to the hygienist (shout out to Candace for making me feel so at ease immediately) to the dentist made me feel so calmed and welcome. No one acted like I was a burden or ridiculous for dental anxiety at almost 30. I cannot recommend Cary family Dental enough!!

Fantastic experience: I was in so much pain and there was no dentists that would allow emergency services within 50 miles of where I live. I’m so glad I found Cary Family Dental. I was able to schedule an emergency visit that day. I was scared all day it was gonna be expensive and when they told me the price, I honestly cried but everyone was so amazing and helped me figure out a way I could get help today. I’m so thankful they took me in on a Saturday and were so nice and understanding and they just fixed my problem. No judgement. Truly amazing!!

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful experience at Cary Family Dental today! This is an extremely well run practice, light years above my previous experiences. I was a new patient today and had the pleasure of meeting Dana who was kind, thorough, but gentle and a wonderful listener. This office is modern and beautiful and very clean. The process of scheduling and paperwork was seamless and I enjoyed not having to stop for checkout at the end as they keep a card on file for charges. I was seen by Dr. Madden who was also very nice and did a comprehensive check. I will absolutely return and recommend this practice highly. 10/10 stars. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: To say that I had wonderful experience during my first cleaning at Cary Family Dental for someone with dental anxiety says a lot about their practice, my new hygienist, Candice, and Dentist! Candice informed along the way what she was doing and the tools she was using before starting. I loved that my teeth were polished prior to the cleansing of my gums. That helped to ease my nerves a bit. Overall, from scheduling my first appointment to arriving, my experience was top notch!! I expressed a concern with a dental issue and my dentist focused in on that area and eased my concern. I would highly recommend Cary Family Dental to anyone looking for a practice who is attentive, provides great service, with exceptional customer service from calling to schedule an appointment, follow-up, to leaving their office. I had missed my last dental appointment at my old practice because they had very limited hygienists, so I was behind on my current cleaning. Fantastic experience: A lot of dentists around here just want to get you in and out as quickly as possible so they can get the next person in that chair and make more money. My experience was the COMPLETE opposite, it was fantastic. My initial onboarding appointment and teeth cleaning was scheduled for a full 90 minutes. I took one of the complementary water bottles and I had barely opened it when the hygienist opened the door and introduced herself. I was seen immediately with no wait, given a little welcome bag with toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, and a surprisingly nice drinking glass with their logo. My hygienist introduced herself and gave a brief overview of the building including where the bathroom was. Once in the room (and there are all individual private rooms so you’re not next to someone) she asked me what my goals of care were, what communication methods I preferred (e.g. lots of details or brief summaries), if there were any communication barriers or unwanted stimuli that they should be aware of, and generally set a baseline for what I wanted to get out of the appointment. Throughout the entire appointment from beginning to end, she explained everything she was going to do before she did it, the reason for it, and how it would feel. Combined with her very soothing “bedside manner,” it was very relaxing. I don’t get much anxiety at the dentist, but if I did, this place would be absolutely perfect to minimize that anxiety. Another thing I was impressed with was that the x-rays are done right there in the chair, you don’t have to move at all. Also, when they’re taking pictures of your teeth, they give you the cheek spreader things and instruct you on where to put them so you can control the amount of pressure you put on them. Again, this would help with anxiety. The exam was very thorough, and she identified some problems that I had (some relatively minor cavities on some molars and the early stages of gingivitis). The doctor came in and introduced himself, and then the hygienist gave him a very detailed summary of what my goals of care, communication preferences, and dental issues were. I never had to repeat information the entire time I was there. He took some close-in pictures with a small scope of the cavities and explained how they formed, how deep they went, and how they were going to fix them. They asked what my preferences were for the cleaning as far as numbing goes. Once that was done, they got an admin to come in with a summary of all the procedures that were recommended and discussed them. Nothing on there was unnecessary and the prices were standard for a quality dental office. She even saved me some money (about $120) because she understood the idiosyncrasies of how my insurance handles proactive checkups and a more involved cleaning that are scheduled on the same day, and how scheduling them on consecutive days saves money. I was given the dentist’s card, an appointment card, the full list of procedures, costs, and the expected insurance coverage for each. I paid for my upcoming procedure and that was it! Best experience I’ve ever had at a dentist or maybe even any medical office ever.

Fantastic experience: I always get anxiety about going to the dentist and today was no different. Once I made it inside I knew I made the right decision to keep my appointment. The office and staff were bright and inviting. Dana (hygienist) was super patient with me. She didn’t judge me when I told her how long it had been since my last visit and she made me feel comfortable throughout the entire appointment. I look forward to following my treatment plan and improving the health of my gums. Traveling 35 minutes to this office is far from convenient but the service and experience is worth it.

Fantastic experience: Cary Family Dental provided me with what I can only describe as an excellent experience. Like many other folks out there, I have not generally been a fan of going to the dentist due to anxiety, past experiences, and budget restrictions. I have run the gamut of terrible experiences at the dentists office (previous dental offices) from having fill-ins that needed to be redone in 3 years, to painful cleanings, painful injections for numbing, and just overall not great staff as well. Cary Family Dentist was amazing. When I first walked into the lobby I was kindly greeted and promptly checked in for my appointment. The staff was friendly, warm, and welcoming and so was the lobby/waiting area. It was pleasant, comfortable, inviting, and clean. I sat down to wait for my name to be called. The hygienist came to collect me within minutes of me sitting down. We entered the back area which was not only beautiful but modern, clean, and professional. She then proceeded to get to know me and my dental history. She was thorough and additionally talked to me about concerns that may be barriers to getting the treatment/maintenance for my mouth. From that point she made sure to let me know in detail what she was going to be doing and why they did certain things the way they do them there. She made sure any fears and anxieties I had were addressed. She made me feel comfortable and I knew I was being heard. Once she finished the cleaning, which she was great and gentle at, she let the dentist know I was ready. By the time he came in, he had already reviewed my dental history and had already inspected my x-rays. It was obvious that he cared and was very knowledgeable. He talked me through all of the concerns that I had about teeth, gums, etc. After that, we scheduled some follow-up appointments and I was led to the check-out area. The lady who checked me out was incredibly kind and funny and of course very knowledgeable about insurance/payments. She gave me the breakdown of the costs for my future treatments, collected the amount due and sent me on my way. The professionalism of this team was superb and truly blew me away. I honestly have had so many bad experiences that this office exceeded any expectations I could have had. I highly recommend them. BTW, I’m a wuss when it comes to needles and pain and they handled it amazingly. Thank you all for being amazing.
