Negative experience: I went in on the 29.99 cleaning/xray special, my cleaning was a total of 10 min if that, my old hygienist spent approximately 30 to 40 min... it felt more like a spa, high end dental clinic. Knowing I had no insurance they brought someone into the exam room to sell me an insurance plan. Because I need extensive work on my cleaning, which i thought was very odd, mind you it had only been a year since my last cleaning, I've always have had good teeth, maybe because my other hygienist knew how to properly clean my teeth.

Negative experience: I visited Holladay Dental Studio a few months ago for a routine cleaning and checkup. While the front desk staff and dental assistants were warm and accommodating, my experience with the dentist fell short of expectations. Unfortunately, I don’t recall her name, but she spent less than 10 minutes with me and offered no explanation about my oral health. She spoke almost entirely in clinical terms to her assistant, leaving me completely out of the loop. Afterward, I was presented with an aggressive sales pitch outlining multiple procedures—most of which were not explained by the dentist—and quoted prices that seemed unusually high. I was told I had a cavity, but again, no details were given by the doctor. I chose not to return and instead sought care from another dentist, who confirmed the issue and treated it—at a significantly more affordable price. Since then, Holladay Dental Studio has repeatedly called me with high-pressure tactics, insisting I wouldn’t find a better rate elsewhere. After asking them to stop contacting me, I was surprised to receive a text confirming an appointment I never scheduled. Overall, this practice felt more focused on sales than patient care. I would not recommend Holladay Dental Studio, especially when there are many other local dentists who are transparent, respectful, and genuinely prioritize their patients' well-being.

Fantastic experience: Holladay Dental Studio is consistently fantastic. They have an easy scheduling system and they are super efficient once you’re there. I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes. Hannah is my hygienist and she does a thorough job cleaning my teeth each time. Dr. Goodell has replaced 2 old fillings of mine in the last year. She did an excellent job both times and is very gentle as well. I have high dental anxiety from a poor (and painful) filling done by another dentist. I have zero anxiety with Hannah and Dr. Goodell! I think the best part about going here is that if you do need some work done, their schedule permitting, you can get it done same day. I’d never experienced that at another practice. I will continue to recommend this practice to anyone I can. Thank you for building a patient friendly dental experience.

Fantastic experience: Hands down best Dental office in the state. I’ve always required extra work due to a deficiency I have. They make it as painless as possible, very professional, my entire family enjoys going to the dentist and the providers in their office are extremely knowledgeable and will find your answers before you leave. I have been taking my family here for 7 years now and refused to go anywhere else. Their treatment plans are very robust, and the prices I would consider to be fair and affordable. I just love this establishment, weird since I grew up crying on the way to the dentist because I knew it was going to be painful.

Positive experience: I give a 4 star only for the fact the prices are really expensive other than that, its very nice clean friendly atmosphere. Large play area for children, snacks omgeeeeeee the snacks, beverages. The staff very friendly and my cleaning hygienist was really nice and gentle very kind. Negative experience: My first visit to this office back in 2023 was actually great. The dentist was amazing — professional, gentle, and took good care of me, which is the only reason I decided to come back. Unfortunately, I wish I hadn’t. This recent visit was one of the worst dental experiences I’ve ever had, and it was entirely because of the assistant — I believe her name was Hannah. From the moment she started working on my teeth, it felt wrong. She had the heaviest, most aggressive hands I’ve ever experienced in a cleaning. I told her multiple times that my teeth are sensitive, and she even acknowledged that I didn’t have much buildup — so why was she going at my mouth like she was chiseling cement off a sidewalk? The way she scraped and jabbed at my gums was completely unnecessary and painful. I left that appointment with my gums bleeding badly — not just a little bit of irritation, but full-on bleeding that continued hours after I got home. My entire mouth was sore and tender to the point that even eating or drinking water hurt. And to make things worse, she filed down one of my bottom teeth so much that it actually looks different now. No explanation, no warning — just over-filed and changed without consent. That is completely unacceptable. I’ve had my share of dental work in the past, even during times when I had more plaque than this, and I’ve never had an experience this brutal. I’m honestly shocked at how rough and careless she was, especially after saying there wasn’t even much to clean in the first place. It makes no sense and just shows a complete lack of skill or concern for the patient. Again, I want to emphasize that the dentist was great. This review isn’t about them — it’s about the assistant, who made me feel like I was being treated by someone who had no idea how to handle patients with sensitivity or basic care. If you care about your comfort, your teeth, or not leaving the office in worse shape than you came in, I’d seriously ask to avoid this assistant or reconsider going somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: It's been so many years since I have been back to the dentist because of what I have been through previously. Major anxiety! But have been looking and for some reason kept going back to them. From the first person I talked to on the phone, she was so nice and very personable. Went in today everyone was so nice and the atmosphere didn't feel like a dentist's office. Very clean and a very nice feeling, the dentist's assistant ugh can't remember his name. He was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable and told me he was going to school to be a dentist as well. He will be a great dentist! Dentist C Goodell was so calming and I felt cared I was 100% happy. And I am excited to finally find a dental office and get some much-needed work done. Thank you for a great experience.

I visited two previous dentist offices & they couldn't find the root of my dental pain, but Dr. Goodell was a life saver ~ she has made my dental care a breeze! Everyone is exceptionally professional, attentive, and friendly. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in good hands. I like how they tell you upfront what your cost is before doing any dental work & there is no pressure to get any procedures done. I've had to go in several times (sometimes as an emergency) & they have always been very accommodating with my appointments. First time I actually like going to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: This was the most amazing dental appointment I’ve ever had from the moment I scheduled the appointment to the moment that I walked into the office, the receptionist was so sweet. The medical assistant the doctor to even the billing. And thank you for being so kind to my granddaughter and all the yummy treats and the fresh baked cookies.

Positive experience: The idea of a dental spa was intriguing. I went in for the $29 introductory cleaning, x-ray, and consultation. I didn't mark that I had insurance so that my insurance would be billed erroneously. When the appointment was started I was told "you have no insurance." It was not a question but a statement. You have no insurance. I left it at that wondering what their plan was. The hygienist started cleaning my teeth, spraying water all over my glasses and face. I understand water gets sprayed but getting it on my face and glasses was something I wasn't accustomed to. After starting the cleaning of my teeth and xraying my mouth, the hygienist brought in the dentist who showed me what is wrong with my teeth. He didn't say the same things my previous dentist said about my teeth. It made wonder if the previous dentist missed what this dentist was pointing out. I wasn't alarmed, just intrigued. He wants to add 2 crowns on different teeth my previous dentist was looking at. I wondered if the previous dentist would have eventually come to these two teeth to fix. No mention of the teeth that were previously brought to my attention. After the dentist left, the hygienist proceeded to clean my teeth and paused before polishing them to have the billing lady come in to show me how much it would cost to fix these two teeth WITHOUT insurance. They quoted me over $5,500. for 2 teeth! Their paperwork included a nice discount and my remaining payment was still about $3000.00 +. They said they could build my new caps that day and asked me if I was ready to sign up and get it done. I told them I wasn't ready for new teeth that day. She asked if I wanted to sign up to come in next week for my new teeth. I said no thankyou. Then she left and the hygienist proceeded to finish spraying my face and glasses with the spray hose they keep on the side. The nice part was she handed me a hot wash cloth to clean my face and glasses. That was really nice. They hand you a menu offering ear phones to watch netflix, or a massage chair and a few other choices. That was a nice touch. That is probably why they wanted to charge so much to a person with "no insurance", those with no insurance pay the hefty fees for all. The whole dental spa idea is nice, but not necessary. All dentists provide head phones and netflix, or cherry flavored polishing cream. I wonder if because they are in Holliday, that they would charge so much more than the dentist down the street. If they had offered to give me a manicure and hand massage I might have signed the paperwork. But no, I do have insurance and I feel that had I disclosed it, the pricing would have been much less than what they showed me.

Positive experience: Their quote for my wisdom teeth extraction were much higher compared to other places. They quoted $1100 for 4 teeth extraction.

The dentist assistant Sky was very good at answering questions and very friendly. I came out with big smiles even after a root canal and some cavities being filled. My teeth look and feel amazing!.

Negative experience: This review is for my parents who are on Medicare. My mom has asked the coordinator repeatedly if holladay dental studio is in network. She said yes. But we got charged a very hefty amount of anesthesia as out of network.

Fantastic experience: I never thought I'd say this but I really do enjoy going to the dentist office now. It's been a ride I tell ya, and no easy experience , to put it lightly .. This past year iv been though a lot in life and one main thing that was necessary was for me to get a full extraction done (all my damn teeth) , and some dentures. I imagined the worst obviously, and yeah it sucked, but I really couldn't have asked for a better set of people to help me through it all.. We laughed , I cried , things did hurt sure , but i knew everyone at Holladay Dental had my back. They really are great, and they are truly awesome at what they do .. I honestly from the bottom of my heart mean that, because as bad as that type of experience could've been , I definitely love these people now, more than I thought I would. So from me to all of you at Holladay Dental , THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for taking such good care of me. And now from me to anyone out there looking for a new dental office that is knowledgeable, caring, professional, and as pleasant to be around as anyone could ever ask for , HOLLADAY DENTAL is amazing.. Fantastic experience: My Dental Hygienist Lacey was kind, patient, gentle while working on my cleaning, very knowledgeable, and very willing to share information helpful to me as a patient. I will be asking for her exclusively when I go back for my next appointment. This is not to exclude all the other wonderful Hygienists at Holladay Dental. My last cleaning experience was great also. Lacey is just the latest and greatest. My wife came home from her appointment a few months back and was raving about how great Holladay Dental was, so I tried them out myself. As a result, the recommended remedy was simple, non-invasive, took only a couple of minutes, and the pain was completely gone in three days and more importantly I avoided having any unnecessary dental work. Fantastic experience: I left this place a little over a year ago to save myself the 20 minute drive to Holladay. I can say with certainly this place is worth an hour drive if needed. They are professional, friendly and seem to have the newest equipment available. Went in at 8:30 this morning due to a crown from the OTHER place breaking apart last week. They gave me a root canal and fitted my new custom made crown (in house) and I was out of there by noon! I didn't even think that was possible. There is no comparison from this new crown to the old. It fits perfect. I'll never go anywhere else again!!!

They offered snacks, had a peaceful waiting room, were very thorough with the exam and cleaning, went over the X-rays in detail and commented on both the positive results as well as the things that needed attention, and made time to do a same day filling replacement. Didn't feel neglected or put on hold during any of the visit. Left feeling happy and like my teeth had been well taken care of.

Fantastic experience: Great place, friendly people, knowledgeable doctors. Great at upselling. And when I say that, I mean I'll buy what they are selling. They perfect that line between personal and professional. Does seem like they read from a script. But the moments In-between are nice. 3rd party payment plan like Affirm or shopify available. Very up front about costs. I'll probably be sticking around as a consistent patient. Plus the 30 dollar cleaning and exam for new patients is a great way to get people in the door. Didn't seem like they were throwing stuff in unnecessarily the gouge their customers. Idk. I'll recommend them for sure.

Negative experience: I would not recommend going here. They say one thing over the phone, and then when you show up for the appointment, they try charging you some thing elce. What you discussed with one person it changes when you call back a few minutes later. Also, you show up to the appointment, and they bombard you with up selling. I explained over the phone I do not want any Suprise charging when I come to the appointment. The lady assured me that was not going to happen, low and behold it did. I absolutely do not recommend this dental studio.

Fantastic experience: Love the staff at Holladay. My first appointment got off to a late start, as I didn't realize my dental insurance had a separate group number. I was mortified to make them wait, but they were so patient while I got the proper information. Everyone is just super kind and happy to be there, and you can feel it in the services they provide. Shout-out to my awesome hygienist, Megan too! Only gal that can make me laugh when having my gums deep cleaned.

Fantastic experience: Easily the best dentist experience I have ever had. The lobby staff was welcoming and the waiting area was clean and they had snacks! Dr. Erickson and his assistant were thorough in their approach to solving a TMJ issue that had been bothering me for years. I was able to have a minor procedure (that was not previously scheduled) day-of, and at a reasonable price. I was smiling as I walked out of the dentist? That never happens.

Negative experience: This dental office participates in fraudulent billing practices. When they make a mistake they refuse to work with you - although they say that strive for total patient satisfaction. They are happy to send you to collections rather than own up to errors and work with you. They write their paperwork to give you no room to even discuss poor service or lack of delivery of a promised service. They make you fight with a law firm over a few hundred $ dispute that no one in their right mind would fight unless they were being bullied by a medical billing office. I fought this out of principal as this office is operating under very unethical practices. Patients are the last thing they seem to care about. I am sure they will reply to this and say this is not accurate and try to publicly put the blame on us but know it will be simply inaccurate. I have better things to do than argue with a dental office over a few hundred $'s but I do refuse to let someone bully me. My Advice: If you decide to work with this office I'd be very careful about what you agree to sign in the financial agreement. The paperwork you sign will remove all rights you have in a dispute. The office takes zero ownership and puts the full financial responsibility to patients/customers even in cases where they are wrong. When I disputed this with them over $600 they sent us to collections and the paperwork has now forced me to pay over $1000 in other fees and interest. This could have been simply solved a different way if this was an honest business. I will also note that please do not be fooled by the high reviews. This practice incents positive reviews to patients.

Fantastic experience: Great overall experience with Dr. Goodell. I needed a lot of dental work and she completed everything in just 2 visits - same day crowns are amazing! Staff was wonderful and the office was very clean and uplifting. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Holladay Dental for a few years now and I have always had great experience for all my appointments!

Negative experience: Currently writing this while having one of the worst panic attacks from the dentist ever. Super rough and harsh I got sprayed in the face multiple times. Not a typical cleaning. Didn’t want to respect my decisions and were super gaslighting and pushy. I have an extreme phobia which I told them multiple times on my notes, charts, documents, and was still nice. But they just saw this as a way to baby talk me and walk right over me. The person cleaning my teeth in fact kept walking out of the room in the middle of cleaning and saying I’ll be gone just a moment is that ok? I mean you’re not giving me a choice other than you know the longer I’m in here the worse a girl’s phobia and anxiety gets but sure. I will not be coming back my anxiety is now through the roof and don’t think I can get work done for a good while.

Fantastic experience: Strongly recommend this place. Really great people, every single time I’ve been there I’ve had a great experience! I especially appreciate Dr Napa. I’m a very curious person and also get anxious about what exactly someone is doing inside my mouth. And that guy can make the most complicated dental procedures easy to understand for the average joe. Which I love because sometimes it’s just interesting to me and other times I’m nervous. Truly love Dr Napa, great dentist and great person, super friendly and likable. I always look forward to talking to that super smart and friendly man. All the staff are truly incredible and extremely talented. Can not recommend this place enough!

Fantastic experience: Dr Napa is always so pleasant and personable. I recently had a crown and the first one didn’t have a proper fit so he had another one made which fit perfectly. He is very knowledgeable and professional. I feel like I’m in very capable hands with him. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: This is the most beautiful orthodontist office I’ve visited. Dr. Erickson is a great orthodontist, he’s very knowledgeable and patient at fixing complex cases like my teeth. He fit me in for last minute oral surgery and I appreciate the kind dental assistants who work there. Upbeat vibes to calm any nerves. Highly recommend him for any Invisalign he’s great!

Fantastic experience: Never before have I been actually happy to go to a dentist. The staff has been super friendly. The dentists have been thorough and surprisingly gentle. The amenities they offer to allow you to be comfortable are second to none. I’m super grateful to have found this office. My only complaint is that they’re too far away from me, which is not their problem but mine. The prices have been very competitive and they even give you a fresh cookie, drink or snack while you’re either waiting or before you leave. The text reminders for the appointments are super handy and they always get me in really quickly. I also love that they stay open later a couple days a week because it makes an appointment so much easier for those with a hectic schedule. And the one time I had to cancel late it was because I wasn’t feeling well and they were completely understanding and didn’t even charge me a late cancellation fee.
