Fantastic experience: Had a dental emergency on Saturday and Dr Wettstein came in and kindly took care of me. He's a good dentist and I recommend him without reservation. When we moved to Queen Creek we had just lost our dentist when he moved to CA, so we were looking for a good one and we found him. Thank you again Dr Wettstein and your whole team is friendly and professional as well. Go Utes! Lol

Fantastic experience: Dr Harker is awesome. I have 3 kids and in the past the dentist had made them a little nervous, but they feel way more comfortable being in Dr. Harkers chair than anyone else’s. Would definitely recommend if your kids are getting older and you’re looking for a big kid dentist. He’s funny and kind and the kids love him.

Negative experience: UPDATE: I wanted to respond to Affinity Dental’s reply to my wife Tara P.’s previous review. Unfortunately, Google’s platform doesn’t allow for direct responses, so I’m sharing this here to clarify a few important points, as the office staff’s response included several inaccuracies. 1. I am the patient. I did not request a narcotic pain medication. I asked for a stronger antibiotic due to the severity of my infection. I only inquired about pain relief if a more effective antibiotic would not be prescribed. At no point did I request or seek narcotics — my pharmaceutical history supports that, as I have never been prescribed one. 2. The assumption that I was a “cash patient” is incorrect. The $1,200 invoice I received had already factored in my dental insurance. I presented my insurance card at my initial visit and specifically asked if my benefits had been verified. I was told it would take 30 days to receive that information — a statement that is simply not accurate. After reading additional reviews on Google, I’ve realized that many other patients have experienced similar issues. It’s frustrating and disheartening to be treated with such a lack of empathy, especially when you’re in severe pain and relying on a healthcare provider for proper care. Earlier today, Dr. Harker contacted my wife. She responded politely and let him know there was nothing further to discuss. He seemed confused about how things had escalated — but it was evident that his sudden outreach was a reaction to the posted review, not a reflection of genuine concern. His lack of empathy was already evident during and after my visit, when he dismissed me without offering meaningful support. Had he prescribed a stronger antibiotic at that time, it’s possible the infection would not have worsened to this degree. Unfortunately, my condition has since deteriorated. The infection has spread across the right side of my face, causing significant swelling near my eye and a large, painful lump at the site of the infected tooth. Thankfully, I have an appointment today with our previous family dentist. Our insurance agent was incredibly helpful in updating our coverage, allowing us to return to a provider we trust — and for that, I’m sincerely grateful. I hope others are able to find compassionate, professional dental care. Everyone deserves peace of mind and competent treatment when it comes to their health. Finally, I feel compelled to warn others: If you are considering Affinity Dental in Queen Creek, please take the time to read the reviews on Google and Yelp. There is a clear and concerning pattern of unprofessional behavior and a lack of accountability in how they treat their patients. Additionally, Dr. Harker has now begun calling me repeatedly — over ten times — despite being told we no longer wished to engage further. This is deeply inappropriate and distressing.

Negative experience: Very Disappointed with Our Experience with Dr. Harker at Affinity Dental Unfortunately, our experience with Dr. Harker was incredibly disappointing. He came across as someone more interested in money than in actually helping his patients. My husband had a severely painful infection from a broken tooth. I scheduled an appointment for him on Tuesday at 10:00 AM, and by 10:30 he was already at CVS picking up antibiotics—along with a $1,200 estimate for an extraction, removal, and bone graft. We own a small business, and things are slow right now, so money is tight. My husband started the antibiotics right away and was rotating between high doses of Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and every kind of Orajel and numbing product available. Nothing worked. He was in so much pain, he couldn’t sleep at all. He called the office first thing the next morning, hoping they could squeeze him in sooner for the extraction. He also made it clear he just needed the extraction—not the bone graft. He asked if he could be prescribed a stronger antibiotic, since the amoxicillin didn’t seem to be helping, and also asked if the doctor could give him something for the pain if the extraction couldn’t be done right away. The office said they’d speak with the doctor. When they called back, they said the soonest he could be seen was Thursday—which we completely understood. However, they also said Dr. Harker “doesn’t believe in pain medication” and advised him to continue taking Tylenol and Ibuprofen. Honestly, if Dr. Harker is uncomfortable prescribing pain medication, that’s fine—but there are plenty of non-narcotic, non-addictive options available. To offer absolutely nothing to a patient who is clearly suffering shows a complete lack of compassion and care. This was my husband’s first and last visit. We expected to be seen by a dentist who actually cares about his patients—not someone who hands out a high-priced treatment plan and sends people on their way. To make matters worse, Dr. Harker’s attitude noticeably changed after my husband declined the additional (and expensive) bone graft. That speaks volumes. A stronger antibiotic alone would likely have made a noticeable difference in the infection. We won’t be returning, and we definitely wouldn’t recommend this office.

Fantastic experience: I’m new to Arizona and I lost my retainer, this dental office Affinity was the only office to be open on a Friday when I lost them, they got me in the following Monday. The whole staff has been wonderful, I have found my new dental home. Thank you guys for getting me in, and helping with ordering new retainers!!! I wish I could leave more than 5 stars. Negative experience: My daughter was brought here for a second opinion while I was out of town and came home to an invoice in the mail. Didn’t take long for me after looking at the name and address Affinity Dental at 21321 to know. Be careful where you sit down thinking you’re being healed. Some chairs are thrones in disguise, and some smiles are masks. I am not spam. My daughter was seen here. Oh man… If Affinity wants to talk about spam I’ve identified quite a few five star reviews that are definitely not legit being in the review space for quite sometime.

Negative experience: I wish I had read the negative reviews before coming here; I would've seen the recurring theme. Really unethical practices at this office. I got pressured into treatment I didn't need. When I pressed them on waiting for my insurance to approve first, they assured me the work ABSOLUTELY needed to be done and they rushed me in to do the additional cleaning over the following weeks (likely trying to get it done before my insurance could process my claim). I was reassured on multiple occasions my insurance would approve and was told explicitly I would only have to pay the balance they gave. Fast forward, everything was denied and I was stuck with the balance. They then failed to follow through on the proper appeals process with my insurance and sent my balance to collections. This office lost my whole family as patients. Shameful

Fantastic experience: Recently moved to Arizona and had my first visit with Affinity Dental. I couldn’t be happier with Dr Harker and the staff. Everyone was welcoming, friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to refer my friends and family to their office.

Positive experience: The doctor is an excellent professional, as is his nurse, who helped me a lot when I was in a lot of pain. The reason I wouldn't return is because Ada doctor assistant she made me feel very pressured, and I couldn't make a decision because of the severe pain I was in. I called to tell her the medicine wasn't in the pharmacy, and I felt like he was telling me I was lying. I didn't like her treatment.

Fantastic experience: Needed to establish care with a local dentist after moving. A neighbor referred Affinity…so I called and got an appointment that day (cancellation)! Toni did a 1/2 mouth deep clean - it was relatively painless and she did a wonderful job! Dr. Wettstein did his exam and was very pleasant. Toni explained my charges and insurance coverage. All in all, it was a great experience and I’m a happy client! Went back in January for the other 1/2 deep clean. Wendy is awesome! Gentle and thorough. Back today for a clean and check. All my gum numbers improved dramatically! I am a believer in deep cleaning! Wendy is the best! Back again for “maintenance/cleaning.” Fortunate to have Wendy continuing my oral care. She is the best - gentle, extremely friendly, and very caring. Wish I could leave her a tip! Back for maintenance cleaning with Wendy. I look forward to my visits with her. She is the best! Fantastic experience: What an amazing office! It’s absolutely beautiful and comfy inside the waiting area! I felt really relaxed right at the start. They even have a charging station if needed. One thing I’m very impressed by is that they have same day crowns offered. All of the staff there are just wonderful! They go over every detail of what they’re doing at every step. I am so happy that my dental insurance was accepted there.

I have dental anxiety and I’m a very sensitive patient and the entire staff was nonjudgmental and responded respectfully to my needs/desires. Window rooms are the best, I feel less claustrophobic and more grounded. I recommend vanilla fluoride as it is subtle with hints of marshmallow!

The Affinity team is awesome including great friendly staff, super clean office and modern equipment but most important wonderfully skilled dentists. I’m very happy.

I already have my 6 months appt scheduled 2025: Update since 2020: Been nothing but grateful I found this place. Normal cleaning every 6 months. Awesome people. Today was an exception when a crown fell out over the weekend and I was in and out in 25 minutes. Easiest replacement.

Fantastic experience: Had my first dental appointment for the first time in over 15years due to no insurance and after researching for a few months decided to schedule with Affinity Dental. Communication was outstanding as was my entire experience. The staff from the girls in the front to the detal hygienist to Dr. Harker was the best experience I've had with past dental visits! They were patient and took the time to explain every step. But what it put it over the top was the insurance coordinator she met with me twice and took time to explain every detail and what coverage I had thru my insurance and what my out of pocket would be for each of my future appointments and each individual procedure that I needed and then also took the time to schedule me for each of these procedures around what I could afford after explaining several options Dr. Harker gave me for the work I needed. So thank you to her and Dr. Harker and the full staff at Affinity Dental for such a patient and amazing experience! They will now be my life long choice for my Dental Health which is extremely important to me and should be for everyone!

Negative experience: Went in for a small cavity and the dentist had to redo it 3 times. I walked out of there with more tooth issues than I had before going to them. Thankfully another dentist was able to fix the cavity they messed up 3 times and got rid of the pain and sensitivity Affinity caused me. Absolutely do not recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I love having Affinity Dental as my dentist office. Everyone there is great and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough! Wendy does an awesome job cleaning my teeth and she treats me like an adult (which I can’t say for all of the hygienists I’ve had at other places).

Fantastic experience: The staff at Affinity Dental are great! I had a very positive experience. Office is clean and organized. Dr. Harker is very kind and gentle. He listened carefully and helped me with my problem right away. I will continue to use this practice for my dental care.

Fantastic experience: 2025: Keeping my original review to show how amazing my 1st experience was when in emergency situation and ironically still experiencing. My go to Hygenist left the practice . I yet again took a new chance on Affinity Dental to find a Hygenist just like my old one. It was hard, but after my 1st experience with Wendy I now come here for all my dental needs. Instead of just 2 cleaning per year- I Tend to even do 3 per year with how clean my teeth feel after getting my teeth done by Wendy forever a regular . [[ Past review with braces :]] -The Irony 1 week before Thanksgiving while I was flossing a filling fell out.- -My original dentist was able to get me in the next day , but were not willing to take of my brace wire off to fix my upper tooth an not willing to fix it that day at all. The soonest they had was mid December. I was like seriously go about 4 weeks with nothing protecting my root from sugars. I actually couldn't believe it was not of concern at all... An I understand a lot of dentist offices are busy these times which is why I take care of my dental work in advance but I also understand Emergencys happen an you should always have some room for these types of people. Affinity Dentist was not only the closest to me but also highly recommended with many reviews. Took a chances walking in an talking the lady in office "Hey I have this dilemma even though I am not a patient of yours can you help me with this?" . I was surprised she said yes but also was able to take off my wires for me so I didn't need to drive all the way to my actual Orthodontist 30 minutes away. This type of service was very appreciated. Fantastic experience: After being with Affinity Dental for almost 10 yrs, I had an urgent need to get in to see Dr. Wettstein due to a broken tooth. He and his very efficient, friendly team got me in first thing on a Monday morning and they got me all taken care of with a new crown. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: First time here. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. They give you an office tour and make introductions. I had xrays, cleaning and dentist visit. Everything was handled very professionally and kindly. Were very aware of certain tender spots. The dentist covered everything necessary in a first time appointment. I had seen my previous dentist for over 15 years but it was a drive to see them. My son and daughter were very happy with Affinity so I thought I'd give them a try. I have found my new dentist!

Fantastic experience: Awesome place. BEST hygienist ever, Wendy!!! Very gentle, caring and a fun visit always. Never nervous or stressed to get my cleaning. Such a relief to have found Wendy after relocating here! Dentist treatment can be very stressful but not with this office. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: I had formerly written a glowing review about this practice. I maintain that Dr. Wettstein is a great dentist, but there seems to be a new practice manager who uses rather hostile repercussions for missing an appointment due to illness. I’ll be looking for a new dentist.
