Positive experience: The hygenist, dentist, and initial lady at the front were all very nice. However, the deposit requirement is a bit ridiculous. I took my 5 year old, paid a deposit (which was returned) and was also paying my son's deductible and purchasing 2 $50 whitening kits. I then wanted to schedule my own cleaning along with my husband's and was I formed there woukd be 2 more deposits required. I understand the concept but this is in poor taste, especially for a family. If one member shows then the other deposits shoukd not happen, I don't like being told I'm not to be trusted before even going and again after going. It's a bit much and plenty of other dentists around that will not do that.

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best dentist I have ever used. Dr Powell is a great doctor that makes you feel comfortable and not judged for the condition of your teeth. He’s great with pain management through his procedures and the techs are equally just as great.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Luke is a kind and caring person. He is also a great dentist and very knowledgeable. His assistants and office staff are wonderful to work with. Everyone is so professional, kind, and helpful. Dr Luke is very gentle while working on you. So are his dental hygienists. Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about Hazel Green Dental! I've had a chipped tooth repaired multiple times at other places, and none of the fixes ever lasted more than a couple of months. When I came here, the dentist was so honest and upfront, even saying it might not last long—but here I am over a year and a half later, and it’s still holding up perfectly. Their work is top-notch! On top of that, their prices are incredibly reasonable, and I’m more than happy to pay for the amazing quality and care they provide. The dentists and staff are unbelievably professional and genuinely care about their patients. I’ll never go anywhere else. Thank you, Hazel Green Dental, for setting my new dentist bar so high!

Fantastic experience: I was so pleased with Dr Powell and his Staff...I have anxiety since I've had some bad experiences with some dentists...I was told, I had to have a moler extracted under anesthesia, but, Dr Powell, injected numbing medicine and I barely felt it...I'm so glad I found Hazel Green Dental!

Fantastic experience: Called Monday, got in Wednesday. In fact, I arrived early and they took me right away. The staff was very welcoming and the dentist took care of my cavity without having to numb me up without any pain! I have had quite a few bad experiences but they were awesome and I would highly recommend them!!

Fantastic experience: This was the first time I have had to have a “major” mouth work I had to have a broken tooth while pregnant and not knowing where to go whom to see I just let it go and ended up here. 12 m after average of the broken tooth it had gotten to a cavity and went to the inside hard to see bc it was completely in the back then it got worse- had to have my tooth drilled down to pull some nerves and then a temporary cement on my back molar. I was to come back the following week for a root canal and a “glass polymer” applied over it. I have anxiety and having to have mouth work done didn’t make it better. I came in shaky feeling hot and nauseated when they were going to numb. I tried to keep calm and lower my anxiety and it was just so on edge when a tool made a loud sound and nicked me I was full on panic attack. I tried to calm down but couldn’t manage. He turned on light soothing music to try help, he had been talking with his assistant autumn to try distract and calm. I believe he had went to pull the roots out next and I felt pain even being numbed, I made a sound that I was in pain forced my head into the chair and he numbed me more say me up and then let me try to catch my breath turn the lights down and even with soothing music I was not catching my breath or getting it steady. Auttum asked if I needed “bassicly what it is they put on your nose to help calm” to see if it would help calm me. I told her I wasn’t sure with me talking clonazepam if it would affect me in any way. She said she was pretty sure it wouldn’t but would check with him to be sure. She came back and told me it wouldn’t I agreed and after a few minutes I started to be able to calm my breaths and get some anxiety lowered. They had me sit for however long felt like a few more minutes after I was back to breathing right he come in and continued to pull the roots and I was able to feel a weird feeling but just that no pain and was calm while they finished up mixed the glass polymer etc. they had me relaxed as they could. I felt terrible for being that patient! They insisted not to be sorry it’s okay “we are here to help you”. If I had to go anywhere for a major tooth problem I recommend this place due to they took my anexity and pain seriously. Like they instantly took care of that as it occurred before continuing anything. I know many places get an outed with patients don’t believe or taken anything seriously- due to the research I did before coming back. That probably worsened my Anxiety tbh. If you have to have anything done I recommend you try them out because how well they took care of me over just trying to get the job done. They are very considerate and nice. All the receptionist have been great with week one I did not expect to be behind till I hit Alabama traffic. I called and asked if I needed to reschedule or pay another 25$ for another appointment time. She said it was fine and worked with me. They called before my week back on the Friday explained what I would be having done again and asked if I was still gonna make it. So kind and nice to explain. My second time they called when I pulled into the parking lot to see if I was coming still, I let them know I was here and should have let her know I was 10 behind. She said no it’s okay and we’ll see you in a few min. She said it would be a wait I was waiting maybe 2 min before being in the office and straight to work each time. If you’re in doubt and can’t figure out where to go I personally recommend them. Or even just give them a call and let them know what’s going on they will take there time and patience to give you any information needed. I am so thankful for Autumn and the dentist that worked on me for their caring and patient caring time. With that being said I have already scheduled my appointment for my small cavity fills. I was recommended by a a good friend which happens to be a co worker, too. If I left anything out I apologize in advance I just wanted to give them a review while I could have a second. _tasha beachy

Fantastic experience: Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The procedure went smoothly and was a calm experience. The staff made me feel comfortable to be there.

Negative experience: Very disappointed. First of all, my husband was called yesterday instead of myself to ask for insurance questions. My husband is not on my insurance and they were told as such when I made the appointment and gave my information. Secondly, I gave my parent insurance information for my dental. I was told firstly that they couldn't find my information for my insurance which is suspect and means that they wrote down the information incorrectly and are casting blame for their mistake. They also told me that my dental insurance they are no longer taking new patients for. Now let's make this clear. They told me this TWO HOURS before my appointment that I had already canceled my son's daycare for the day to attend as it was a mom and son appointment. So not only did they assume that my husband was the primary caregiver, they gave me little to no warning that they didn't take my insurance. I'll also mention that it's crazy how they aren't taking my insurance any longer as it's the main insurance for The Boeing company which has THOUSANDS of employees in this area. I'm incredibly disappointed with this place and will recommend my husband, who has gone here on his own individual (different) insurance, to not come back and will recommend to steer clear of to our many other friends in this area.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to a few dentists, and they’re typically not very personable but THIS staff was amazing. They were super friendly, and smiley. They stuck to the appointment time! (As a matter of fact I think they called me back a few minutes early) The ladies at the front desk were helpful and kind as well. All my questions were answered, and they got me pointed in the right direction.

Fantastic experience: I've been very impressed with Hazel Green Dental and the knowledge of the dentist from the very beginning. He was able to do a root canal without any Novocaine and it did NOT hurt! My tooth was so far gone and I had so much nerve damage but he repaired it and made it look like new. I absolutely love the staff and everything about the dentist office now when in the past I dreaded going to the dentist. Most of all the prices are also very reasonable. It's a win-win situation all the way around with this dentist office! I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Today was my second visit to Hazel Green Dental. Check in was smooth and I asked for a disposable toothbrush because I had a 5pm appointment, and was given one. I always arrive early, but even still just after a few minutes Bri called my name and introduced herself. Bri explained what was going on as she moved forward with the cleaning process and was careful to avoid anything that introduced “cold” on my teeth as I had explained that my teeth had always been sensitive to cold water. On both of my visits HG Dental used a process that other practices had offered for an additional cost, and it seems so much more effective than just scraping the teeth with an instrument. During the X-rays and cleaning procedure Bri and I had a great conversation about both of us and our families that was very enjoyable. Dr Wells came in and was very attentive, I felt good about today’s appointment. Both visits have been beyond expectation of what I received in the past, and the office is five minutes from home. I have always believed that leaders and/or business owners are only as good as those that they surround themselves with, and to place your employees first, when you do they in turn make your clients their first priority. I believe Hazel Green Dental is doing this. I highly recommend Hazel Green Dental.

Fantastic experience: My first regular (cleaning) visit. On time appointment, friendly staff, very easy (not rough) cleaning, & first EVER gum exam - measuring depth of space between gum & tooth - for every tooth. Great! Dentist very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Recommend to all.

Positive experience: Today was my first time with this practice. Staff were super friendly, I was taken back quickly, and my hygienist was great. However, Dr. East came in and was in and out within 3 min. Wasn’t very comforting as a first time patient.

Fantastic experience: Well, I have a new dentist and staff. Everyone at Hazel Green Dental is polite and friendly. Dr. Powell was very gentle when he examined my teeth and gums. I went in thinking I had an abscess due to the swelling and pain surrounding one of my molars but, he put my worries to rest and prescribed me something to help with any possible germs.

Fantastic experience: Tooth broke. The fine folks at Hazel Green Dental worked me in the next day. Arrived and within 2 hours was evaluated, x-rayed, and taken care of. I left with a temporary crown. The dental staff works together like a well oiled machine. They were so great about answering my many questions. The front office staff was also nice. I highly recommend this dentist office.

Fantastic experience: What a great bunch of folks! I broke a tooth two days before Thanksgiving. My regular dentist recommended an implant but he doesn't do them. He called Dr Powell who squeezed me right in the same day to set the implant! Thanksgiving is saved! LOL I can't thank Dr Powell enough.

They are very mindful of their patient's needs, budget, and give compassionate and very accurate care. I have used them for everything from scheduled cleaning to root canals and crowns. I just cannot adequately state how much I appreciate everyone there from the front desk and all their staff to Dr. Powell and Dr. Wells. March 28, 2022 Update: I cannot stress how good this dentist office is for patients. Had my 6 month cleaning today and it's always good to update my review. I recommend this practice to anyone who need a reliable dentistry services. October 2023 Update: This practice continues to be excellent and gives the best service. All of the personnel are happy, treat their patients with care and respect.

Fantastic experience: They were very friendly and knowledgeable. I haven’t been to the dentist in years and they did a phenomenal job at cleaning them. I’m happy to say that I have found myself a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: The hygienist this time was SOOO kind and attentive.. I mean this next part in a complementary way,, I had issues several months back with a couple teeth that one of the dentist could not seem to get it 100%. The dentist kept working on it and ended up having to open my root canal back up to get to the bottom of the problem until it was fixed for me. They deducted from my bill since they had to go back into the original root canal, which I thought was nice for them to offer without me saying anything. My husband has had good experiences with Hazel Green dental too!

Fantastic experience: PLEASE READ: The dentist is my biggest fear & has been my whole life! I'm new to the area so I was dreading finding a dentist. From the moment I was called back I was treated like they had known me a lifetime. I thought well that lady sure is nice but quickly realized they were ALL that way! My nerves had been calmed temporarily but then realized I still had to face The Dentist..the one I fear the most! To make a long story short let me just say..I have NEVER been treated with more Professionalism & KINDNESS! My nerves/fear was not only calmed but forgotten! I went in not able to smile because of a broken front tooth & left smiling bigger than ever! I can't thank them enough for saving my bday weekend & my smile :) If you are looking for a dentist..look no more! To have Hazel Green Dentist in our area is truly a blessing ♡
