Fantastic experience: Dr Huang at PearlFection Dentistry is without doubt the best dentist I have ever visited.(and I’m 86 so that is a lot of dentists) I recently saw him because I needed my upper denture replaced, 4 teeth removed and a new lower denture ,to be anchored by 2 20 yr old implants,not a simple procedure made more difficult because the top of one of the implants had deteriorated and needed to be replaced.Dr Huang and his assistant Cara are professional,knowledgeable and caring . I am extremely grateful and happy with my new teeth,they are comfortable,work well and look great. And now let’s talk about money. Before I went to PearFection I had consulted another dentist, his estimate was over $21,000. I paid less than half of that, for excellent care

Fantastic experience: I had a really amazing visit with Dr Hebah and Pura, who were extremely careful and put me at ease while they restored my smile! I was someone who avoided the dentist for nearly 30 years and to whom the sound of that drill was one of the worst sounds in the world. They restored my faith in dentistry and I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually look forward to going back to the dentist. There was absolutely zero pain and every staff member I interacted with was very in tune with people who don't like being at the dentist and making them comfortable. Great job all around!

Fantastic experience: Danielle is kind, funny, and very professional- she makes the experience less “angsty” and anxiety provoking. I have intentionally requested to make my appointments with her when I schedule- I highly recommend!

Negative experience: The front staff seems nice but I was never was able to actually make it into the office because they kept calling to reschedule my appointments. The first appointment I made they called to reschedule. Then the second appointment I made to reschedule they called again after. I accepted the new time and when I couldnt make their preferred time (23hr notice btw. 10am appt, called 11am the day before), they charged me $50. I would rather not do business.

Fantastic experience: The hygienists and dentists are very gentle and efficient. Have been a happy patient for over six years. Also went for alignment and they made the process very easy and affordable.

Negative experience: Terrible communication Whoever answered phones and scheduled my appointment for 5pm changed it to 7pm and never bothered to notify me. They charge the wrong acct for insurance repeatedly and always text me for follow ups when they aren’t accurate dates based off my previous visits. I’m switching dentists for this reason. I highly recommend avoiding these people

Fantastic experience: I felt perfectly taken care of, with compassion and professionalism, before, during, and after my complex wisdom tooth extraction at the Sedation Center. They listened to my questions and made sure I was taken care of. I never write reviews but, after my positive experience immediately post-op, I knew that I had to!

Fantastic experience: After a recent painful, sleepless night I called PearlFection early the following morning. Hannah was kind and understanding and scheduled me for an 11am appointment, Cara was gentle and kind assisting me, Katie and Dr Chang were superb in their treatment and care for me and again in their follow up. I’m very fortunate to have been in their care.

They work as a team and after a thorough exam explain your treatment plan to you. There is no pressure to commit to financing and all options are explained well. Fantastic experience: Friendly hygienist and dentist! Everyone seemed to be accommodating to my hearing impairment. Tooth extraction went smoothly so I shan't complain too much about losing my tooth! :P

Negative experience: I scheduled an appointment as a new patient specifically for continued Invisalign treatment. When I spoke with Hannah, she confirmed I was “all set up for your first check-up with us for your Invisalign.” Great—I thought I had finally found a provider to continue my care. I showed up to my appointment only to be told they don’t offer Invisalign at all. I was shocked. I explained that I was scheduled specifically for Invisalign, and was told, “We don’t do Invisalign anymore, we use a different brand of clear aligners.” When I pointed out that their website literally has the official Invisalign logo, they couldn’t explain why and just said “some of the girls get confused and call all clear aligners Invisalign.” Seriously? This was incredibly frustrating and felt like a total bait-and-switch. If you’re scheduling patients for Invisalign, telling them you offer it, and advertising it on your website—you should actually offer it. I wasted time and energy, and now I have to start over and find a provider who actually does Invisalign. Do better. Patients rely on honest, accurate communication—especially when it comes to ongoing treatment.

Fantastic experience: Everything was explained clearly and professional. Susan and Dr. Stringer were eager to answer my questions and were really kind. The view from the chair is a plus, so relaxing!

Fantastic experience: I’m so happy I was recommended to come to PearlFection! Everyone was so kind and nice. The place is absolutely gorgeous! I have a ton of anxiety when it comes to the dentists, but Susan was such a sweetheart, she really helped keep me calm the whole appointment, She talked me thru what was happening and what I could expect. I appreciate that level of genuine care. Everyone there really has a passion for there work and shows, I looks forward to going back!

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience! Dr Stringer and Susan made me feel so welcome. They helped ease my nerves and excited to get my teeth back to where they should be! Not only was it a teaching opportunity to better learn about my health but it was also an opportunity to not feel judged for not flossing. Negative experience: Sad to write this review, but feel like I need to share. Pros Clean atmosphere and great bedside manner. Cons Major concern #1: They told my husband and I that they would accept our insurance (Carefirst), leading us to believe we were in network. We were not and continued to remain unaware of this until we were billed via mail. Now we’ve just had a baby and have dental bills to pay that we did not account for in our budgeting. Major concern #2: They told me I needed 4 fillings and other miscellaneous work done. It seemed excessive to me, but I trusted them because they were the professionals. Once we found out we were not in network, I changed our dentist to complete the treatment plan we discussed. My new dental office had multiple dentists look at my teeth and told me that I had no reason to get 4 fillings and that their treatment plan was overly aggressive. I unfortunately do not recommend Pearlfection unless you know exactly what you want done and are expecting to pay out of pocket. Thank you for reading.

Fantastic experience: Abby (front desk) handled constant interruptions and expertly fielded questions like a pro, and she was very kind and professional when she checked me in for my appt. Susan (hygienist) is absolutely lovely and is the main reason I came back to this office. She knew I was a nervous wreck and she quickly focused on my concerns without judgment. Dr Stringer is kind, honest and straight to the point, which I deeply appreciate. Love this office!

Negative experience: A piece of tooth was left in my gum and couldn't figure out why I was still in alot of pain. Was told had to make appt for next week to talk to surgeon. So I'm to suffer all weekend

Fantastic experience: Dr. Huang is very professional but down to earth at the same time. He has been very good to our family. Danielle gave me the best cleaning I have ever had!

Negative experience: Appointments had to be cancelled in person consecutively because they double booked. Asked for management to call to discuss. Crickets. Putting growth above customer service. Choose another practice.

Fantastic experience: I just had my braces taken off, and the entire experience was fantastic! Meredith was amazing throughout the whole process—kind, professional, and always made me feel comfortable. I can’t say enough good things about her! Dr. Tigani was awesome as well—knowledgeable and reassuring every step of the way. I’m so grateful to the whole team for making this such a positive journey!

Dr. Stephen Tigani, you want the best Orthodontist in Frederick, heck, in Maryland? This is your guy! Dr. Tigani is so easy to talk to and understand, and he genuinely wants to get your smile the absolute best it can be. He doesn’t go for the cash grab, he goes for what he feels would be the best option for your situation. And he explains in detail why he thinks that option is the best for you, and you should listen! He has never steered me wrong and I always look forward to speaking with him. Other orthodontists wanted me to get surgery and said there were really no other options, but Dr. Tigani set me straight and went for non-surgical options and I am so happy with the results. For me, him and his team including Meredith and Candace have been a God send! And I want to give a mention to Dr. Elise Tigani Endres, who I’ve only had the pleasure of seeing a couple times as I think she works elsewhere and only consults with her father at PearlFection every now and than, but she is a joy as well and extremely knowledgeable. Always nice to see her and also someone who makes me feel at ease and I can joke with. I trust her just as much as the rest of the team, and that’s a lot! Folks, I’m not trying to be a shill and I don’t get any special perks for leaving this review, I just want you to know about the absolute gem that is PearlFection Frederick, and the fantastic people that work there. Meredith, Candace, both Dr. Tigani’s and everyone else that I’ve dealt with there has been an honor and a joy. If you skip the rest of the review and just read this part…. Go to PearlFection Frederick for any dental needs, you will NOT be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience! Dr.Avillo and his assistant Irma were amazing in making me feel comfortable. I have had bad experiences with dental work in the past and this was the opposite. They walked me through each step and continued to ensure I was comfortable. I didn’t feel anything during or after and I am doing great! I highly recommend Pearlfection and their amazing team.

Fantastic experience: I am a very difficult patient to deal with and have had horrible past experiences with other dentists but Dr. Pashai and DA Irma was nothing short of amazing!!! DA Irma was able to get x-rays that other dentist was not able to get and had the patient of a saint. Dr. Pashai took the time to go over all my options.

Negative experience: MAKE SURE THEY ARE IN NETWORK!! I have Delta DENTAL insurance. This place was going to charge me $870 for what is $80 when I went to a dentist in network. Please if you have dental insurance check to make sure they are in network!!!

Fantastic experience: I have been to this office so many times that I feel like I know Dr. Tigani, Meredith, and Candace personally. They assisted with all of my ortho needs and had me in braces. The staff was always incredibly kind, patient, and, honestly, fast for a process that's itself relatively slow. I even moved to Baltimore during the process and continued to schlep up to Frederick because I thought my care was so good. For an adult in braces for the first time, I can't reccomend this crew enough. Top notch.

Fantastic experience: Dr Vahid, Dr Huang, Dr Tigani and their amazing assistants Meredith and Cara are the DREAM TEAM! I was born with missing lateral incisors and with the help of these amazing doctors, I now have my dream smile. It was a very long process- 2 years in braces, a gum graft, bone graft, implant placement and implant crowns! Dr Tigani created space for the implants with braces. He takes the time to explain how braces work and what his goal is with each adjustment. The grafts and implant placement was quite intimidating but Dr Vahid made me feel right at home and was always checking in during the procedure. Every appointment with her brought me so much joy. Dr Huang made crowns that blend seamlessly with my smile. He is super thorough- from the shape, to the shade match and the position. They all worked together to create a beautiful result. One of my ultimate favorite things about this office is how much passion everyone has. It shows in their work and the price you pay. With my new smile, I am the most confident I’ve ever been and cant stop smiling. A huge THANK YOU to this office for creating a positive environment for what can be very scary to many (including myself when I first came here in 2022, but now I am always excited for my next appointment)

Fantastic experience: Best Ortho around. Dr Tigani is fantastic, fun and knowledgeable. His team is nothing short of amazing. Meredith goes above and beyond, always makes you feel welcome and is super funny. She gave me several tips and tricks with my retainers because I had one stubborn k9 that didn’t want to move. Candace did my molding appt and let me tell you, having play dough like substance in your mouth for over a minute is not fun. She got me through the worse part of having permanent retainers. They both checked on me while I was there for a recent cleaning. Great bedside manner and overall amazing ortho team.

From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly inviting and took the time to explain everything thoroughly-helping me understand issues I didn’t even know I had. Fantastic experience: I had an extensive procedure performed by Dr. Huang and his assistant, Cara, which took several visits and several hours in the chair. Cara was a huge help to me to get through this procedure, she was a skilled professional and very gentle and considerate of my feelings. I am very glad she was with me during each visit. I also appreciate Dr. Huang's expertise, giving me a beautiful smile. I'd like to mention the girls at the front counter as well, they were very friendly and helpful too.

Fantastic experience: I have nothing but good things to say about Pearlfection! Initially I had a lot of apprehension about the dentist and DR Pashai & DA Irma have been phenomenal, this team cares about their patients. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a dentist!

Fantastic experience: I just want to take the time to give my dentist and dental assistant some praise. It is not always easy going to see the dentist especially when you need to get a lot of work done and you feel ashamed on how your smile and teeth are. Dr. Stinger and Susan were absolutely great. They put me at ease, went over some plans to correct my teeth and they both had amazing bed side manner. They talked to me with respect and heard my concerns and validated them. It was very refreshing to see them and truly absolutely loved them!!!!

Negative experience: Awful experience. The dentist was literally fighting with her assistant as they were trying to fill my cavities. Not to mention while they were fighting that suction tube that stayed in my mouth that sucks up the spit was in too long. I literally counted several minutes of them fighting and here I am with a tube in my mouth trying not to hyperventilate. They then filled my cavities and later that night I had so much pain. Had to travel all the way back to Arlington VA to have my previous dentist fix my fillings that they cracked!!! On top of that, the front desk receptionists were rude and Im pretty sure I am owed money from them as I have a great federal employee plan insurance. They can keep the money. Too tired to fight. And for the business if you are reading this I am a real past client but am posting anonymously for protection. Theres no wonder why your business isnt recommended by locals on everything frederick. Step up your game and clean up your act. Worst dental practice ever!!!

Negative experience: Giving this two stars because the actual experience and staff was very good, however I was told explicitly by both the staff and their website that they take Delta Dental PPO. Turns out the specific provider I saw doesn't, so I ended up having to pay out of network costs for my consultation. Edit: Revising to one start. Was just told that all of their specialists are not in-network for Delta Dental. This is absolutely unacceptable when I very specifically went there for wisdom teeth extraction and was told it would be covered as long as I had Delta Dental PPO. Just a forewarning for anyone who wants to use them for oral surgery to check with your insurance yourself before using them. Edit 2: Adding their error ridden response here in case they try to change it: "Calum, we do take Delta. We have thousands of patients who come to us and we submit their claims to delta. Its PPO insurance, which means as long as we take it you can use it. We file foe you, fight to get your claim paid. I think your confusing accepting Delta w being "a contracted privider". We dont sign contracts w Delta. That would allow Delta to set our rates and it would put us out of business. We accept delta but we dont sign a contact allowing them to set our fees." I want to reiterate that I was told explicitly and am directly quoting from the voice mail that "all of our specialists are not in-network with Delta Dental". I understand that you "accept" Delta Dental but that does not mean that your specialist are "Preferred Providers" as per the PPO plan. Please stop trying to bend the truth to get people who need care to pay more when other places are actually in-network for Delta Dental.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Pearlfection Dentistry! My first consultation with Dr. Tigani was excellent—she explained everything clearly, which made me feel confident about my orthodontic procedure. The X-rays and scans were fantastic. Dr. Vahid, Katie, and Meredith were amazing and made the extraction procedure smooth and painless. I highly recommend this amazing team!

Fantastic experience: I went to PearlFection in Frederick to get an issue with my TMJ joint checked out and it was a fantastic visit. The staff were incredibly kind and social with me, and the Doctor was able to quickly figure out my issues and offer several solutions for it! I saw Dr. Stringer and she was extremely informative and really helped me understand the root of my issue and she thoroughly explained the reasonings behind the solutions she provided. While I was waiting for Dr. Stringer to come see me, Susan, an amazing worker there, kept me company and made me feel very welcomed. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a new dentist, truly the best of the best!

Fantastic experience: About 6 months ago I had a root canal and crown down through a different location with an awful experience. I called on a Thursday around 3:30 pm because I was having severe pain in that same tooth. They fit me for an emergency visit with X-ray and CT the next morning first thing and fit me in with the endodontist for a root canal retreatment Tuesday. This was as a completely new patient. The root canal retreatment was very smooth- they found a missed canal. I was difficult to numb but they made sure to stop and give me more local anesthesia anytime I felt anything (I've had other places just ignore it when I felt pain). Definitely a very positive experience.

Fantastic experience: After receiving an invitation as a new resident to visit PearlFection Dentistry, I decided to check it out. Every part of my experience there was excellent. Susan greeted me in the waiting room and immediately made me feel completely at ease. She explained everything as we went through the initial appointment with X-Rays, the examination etc. She is very knowledgeable, supportive, encouraging and an excellent communicator. I was informed about the vast experience of the staff and I was impressed that they can handle any orthodontic procedure needed on site. Dr. Stringer came in and on a large screen showed me my X-rays and gave me the most informative ,detailed explanation I've ever received from a dentist. At the end of my visit, I was given a recommended detailed prioritized plan of what I needed. Again, very impressed! Highly recommended to anyone new to the area or looking for a dentist.

Fantastic experience: Hadn’t been to the dentist in 15 years because I’m stubborn, wasn’t really sure what to expect but the staff at PearlFection were so personable and made it an easy and enjoyable experience for me. Negative experience: Suzanne is very sweet and gentle. The office is very beautiful, clean with new technology. I am already excited for my next appointment! I will edit my comment and give them a one star because they will never tell you they are out of network and will charge your card for basic x-ray/cleaning many times without your consent. Beware and read the one star comments!

Fantastic experience: My family and I are fairly new to the Frederick area. I’ve been searching for years for a practice that could take care of me, my husband and daughters dental care but we never had a good experience. I came to PearlFection Dentistry letting them know how nervous I was and how much I dreaded dental visits. I’ve now had two visits and cant be more excited that both visits went extremely well and the staff superb!! Dr. Pashai is very informative, her demeanor made me feel comfortable and I had absolutely no pain during my procedure. I’ve also had the pleasure to have DA Irma and Celia during my visits, they too were absolutely great and assured me that my experience at this practice would go well. I was so excited that I scheduled me and my daughter’s next visit when usually the first visit would be my last visit at any practice. I didn’t want to make this long but I had to convey how great my experience was. Thanks to the entire practice, see you all next month!

Fantastic experience: In the past my daughter has not had great experiences at dental visits. Since changing offices and being apart of Pearlfection in Frederick, that has changed. Danielle was terrific. Her knowledge, care, professionalism and personality really helped my daughter's past experiences turn into a positive one. I felt like Danielle was treating my daughter as if it was her own family in the chair. I would love to share a picture i took of my daughter during her appointment but I know it would only get me in trouble. Let's just say, this visit was a more enjoyable one. Thank you Danielle.

Fantastic experience: It was a wonderful experience! It was my first time getting dental work done and I was very nervous. However, Dr. Pashai and the DA Irma were very kind, understanding and approachable. They explained all steps and details, paced the procedure to make me feel comfortable and were extremely efficient. Positive experience: Hygienist Danielle was great, and so were the other two who worked on my teeth. Better than BrightNow down the road, from what I've heard from my wife. Will probably get her to switch, too.

Negative experience: Dentists and hygienists are very nice. However, if you read other negative reviews, you’ll see patterns of unethical practices and just bad, incompetent customer service and management. They did two things to me (I should have left after the first strike): 1) They never disclosed the orthodontist was out of network and said that my insurance only covered a certain low amount. Not true. I have excellent insurance, but it had never crossed my mind that they are in-network for dentists but not for ortho. So, I ended up with an extra 800+ bill, which they agree to pay a portion of (reason I stayed… but that doesn’t change the fact that they were deceiving me). I went to another ortho dr. in-network. 2) I came into the office and they tell me I have a balance of $110. I had to inquire why because they did not explain. They just expected me to pay and not ask questions (I guess). The receptionist said it was a bill from over a year ago. I reluctantly gave her my credit card. She said the insurance will probably not pay a bill so old, so I had to pay. I asked for the printed bill to contact the insurance. When I reviewed the bill, I realized they had sent me to collections!!! I came to this office 4 times a year with my son and twice a year with my daughter and they said that they tried to contact me and could not reach me….? They read a misspelled email on my account and they tried to contact me by email (as if I was not going in person all the time… hellooooo). They said the fee they charged me was to take me out of collections. I told them they should be responsible for that because I came into the office 6 times in the past year and no one said a thing. They also send me texts with reminders, but no one called (I have no records of the call they said they made and did not leave a message … uh-huh). I asked for the manager and they told me the Urbana office has no manager (snap! Crazy!) I called the Frederick Office and asked to talk to the manager. The manager sent me messages with the receptionist and refused to come to the phone. They said the manager will call later and never did. Save your money and grief and go somewhere else!!!

Fantastic experience: I am Happy with my first visit to OearlFection Dentistry. Susan the x-ray tech made me feel very welcomed and made accommodations for me to adjust to the xray machines while taking x-rays. She was very personable and friendly. Dr. Stringer was very informative about what I needed to get me back in the swing of things for getting back to routine visits. She was very professional and friendly with her delivery and made sure I understood the procedure.

Fantastic experience: I receive beautiful service. I’ve been coming here for 3 years, in those three years, I’ve been given the best cleaning I’ve ever had by Mikaela, Paige has been very thorough with communication during the process with Dr.B while we figure out what was going on with a cracked tooth, which has ended me with treatment resolving my concerns while also teaching me about the deeper layers of the tooth and nerve. Dr. T provided excellent excellent orthodontic service for my daughter, provided her with grace to go about things at a pace comfortable with her. The list goes on. I’ve received a root canal here, many cleanings, a couple crowns. If I was to ever love going to a dentist, the environment here is supportive, clean, an aesthetic. Next I’m in for a night guard fitting. Thank you front desk for being friendly and for the scheduling grace. Thank you Danielle!!

Fantastic experience: My family and I had been looking for a dentist office to commit to in Frederick after recently moving here from Germantown. My husband and I visited Pearlfection in Frederick for the first time and had a wonderful experience. The office is very neat with state of the art equipment. Most importantly they have some of the best staff. A visit to the dentist is usually very nerve racking, but Susan took the edge off with her warm and welcoming personality. You can tell she is a great person in and out and loves her job. Dr. Stringer was amazing as well. She was extremely knowledgeable, explained everything to me carefully and was truly down to earth. I am so glad we found our new dental family! I would recommend this office to everyone.

Fantastic experience: This office in Frederick was very clean and well kept, but most of all Susan, who did my x-rays and got me situated for the doctor had by far the best customer service I have seen in a while if more offices took note of that they would thrive like this company. Personable, good communication and answered all of my questions. I don’t think there was one time that I didn’t see her smiling Which is comforting, especially at the dentist.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Combs @ Pearlfection Dentistry Frederick I recently had a tooth extracted as part of my orthodontic treatment, and overall, I had a great experience with Dr. Combs. The procedure itself went very smoothly—Dr. Combs was incredibly professional and took the time to thoroughly explain everything beforehand, which really put me at ease. His bedside manner was excellent, and I barely felt any discomfort during the numbing process and extraction. Surprisingly, I had zero pain afterward, but maybe because it was a front tooth. The only downside was that I had to wait longer than expected to be seen. I wish the front office or manager informed me of the delay in advance so I could decide whether to wait or reschedule. Communication of delays is key to patient care. However, once I was with Dr. Combs, the level of care and attention I received more than made up for the delay. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Combs for anyone needing oral surgery. His expertise and compassionate care made a potentially stressful experience much easier to handle. Thanks!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Chi and Katrin are a good team who work well together. Dr. Chi is an empathetic professional who demonstrated an intensity of caring to provide the best outcome for my treatment plan. His skills are equally matched by his honesty. When an extraction was included in the plan, he recommended we save the tooth and pursue another course of action, which he did successfully. He explained options of care with clarity and patience so this impatient patient could understand.

Positive experience: I love this place. My family has been here since 2017, but now, everything has gotten a down-grade. During those years, I put tooth-crowns, inserted fillings, root canal treatments, and even had a tooth removal surgery plus an implant. The doctors were very nice too also, especially Dr. Chi, Dr. Hong, Dr. Parlez, Dr. Lawson, Katherine, William, Tracy, and Molly. But now it’s very different from then. My latest appointment was for a follow-up with a doctor regarding my 2nd implant, but the X-Ray System was down. Since it wasn’t working, they told me to come back at any time to do the X-Ray. Before I left, I asked the front desk if I need to pay any bills for my X-Ray. They said no, and I left for the day. 4 or 5 days later, I came back and a different lady at the front desk told me I had to pay $250 for my CT X-Ray Scan. I was confused and asked to talk to Molly, but she wasn’t there that day. Unfortunately, according to the front desk, Dr. Chang’s Assistant, Cara, was also too busy to see me either. I told her I wanted to postpone the appointment for now. She told me if I left, I would need to pay $50 for “cancelling the appointment”. When I started to question her since the doctor told me I could come any day, she then responded with, quote on quote, “Then you are WELCOME TO LEAVE.” I wasn't happy at all because the management changed so much. Back then, people would actually sit down with the paitent and discuss regarding the payment and the treatment that had to be done. I don’t think I am returning to this place anymore.

Dr. Stringer was very thorough in explaining my dental X-rays and recommendations for treatment based on her expertise. Fantastic experience: Susan was amazing and really took the time to get to know me and connect as a new patient. Truly a great first experience at this new office! The office was clean and modern with new equipment and modern décor. Dr. Stringer was also very nice and took time to give me options and explain in detail everything about all of my X-Rays.
