Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Audubon Dental Group since 2013, and I am very happy. Today's visit was great, and every person I saw was very friendly. Everyone who participated in my care was excellent in their work, in addition to being kind.

Fantastic experience: I have had great service here for the last 15 or so years but my insurance is no longer in-network and the costs are too much for me to justify going. I didn’t know this until I was billed and wish I’d been notified. On top of that, I tried discussing very confusing billing with the front desk and was treated very rudely. I had figured out through my own very good math skills that I was owed money due to overpayment and credit from another procedure. I had figured figured out on a piece of paper but The person I discussed this with refused to engage or look at it, even though she had admitted previously that the numbers were off. She kept saying it was even when I said I’d been overcharged so I just left feeling angry. Dr Hammack is a great dentist! Dr. Rappold got me in for an emergency root canal before a tropical storm hit. What else can I say? They have both provided me with great care and comfort over the years but unfortunately the insurance issue which would have saved me several thousand for recent procedures along with a personnel issue has contributed to my decision to find somewhere else. 5 stars for dentists and hygienists. 1 star for billing and communication issues.

Positive experience: I like the dentists (particularly Dr. Hammack) and the staff members who do cleanings. My daughter likes going to the dentist because of them. But I am switching dentists because of the billing team. They emailed me about some outstanding copays/missed appointment fees from years prior. When I checked against my records they had to correct the charges because I had not missed the appointment. It is bad enough to hound someone who has been coming for years about $70 but then to have the charge you shouldn't be seeking in the first place wrong is too much. Though peeved, I let that go because I like the dentists. Today, the lady at front was flat out rude because I switched jobs and had new insurance. She couldn’t get the California based insurer on the phone at 9 am central and seemed to blame me for that. She refused to bill me after she had a chance to figure out the insurance and instead I had to pay almost $300 with the promise they would try to submit and I would get a reimbursement check later. Earlier, I overheard the same employee explaining to another worker that she needed to stand up to a customer. That is not the right attitude for a customer facing employee to have.

Fantastic experience: I came in for a routine cleaning and exam. The dentist, hygienists, and the staff were great.

Fantastic experience: Always a good experience going to Audubon Dental. Been a patient here for many years - the staff is always professional, taking care and pride in their exams and treatments.

Negative experience: I have absolutely loved seeing Dr. Rappold the last 11 years, but I won’t be going back after surprise bills I received from the billing team at Audubon Dental. Last year, I changed dental insurance to BlueCross, and I uploaded the new card and confirmed with the office that BlueCross was accepted. Despite claiming they accept BlueCross insurance, they won’t tell you it’s only BlueCross of one state until you’ve already been seen and X-rayed. I spoke to their office manager afterwards who told me their team did handle the situation poorly and mistakes were made, but they have a no refund / no remorse policy for patients that have been seeing Dr. Rappold for 10+ years.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been going to Dr. Rappold at Audubon Dental Group for many years. He is incredibly conscientious, kind and calm. His “chair-side” manner gives him the ability to put you at ease while taking the time to hear your concerns. Not to mention that he does excellent dental work! Can’t say enough good things about the whole experience at Audubon Dental to include the dental hygienists and receptionists. Thank you for always taking such great care of my whole family!

Positive experience: The service, care and staff friendliness was awesome. My only question is that I was charged $75 for a routine check up, X-rays, cleaning and evaluation. I thought my insurance would’ve covered 100% of the visit. I guess I’ll have to relook at my insurance.

Dr. Tony was very personable & sweet. He took his time while i explained my issue and was able to get my mean old wisdom teeth taken out that same day! Fantastic experience: Excellent dentistry, dental cleaning, and friendly service for a new patient. My only reservation is that the terms of service should be changed to not have a $75 "per hour?" cancellation fee if one is canceling less than 24 h before the appointment. That is onerous.

Negative experience: I love this office and have been coming here for over 15 years and had the worst experience with the front office I have ever had. I admit for the 1st time I was 15 min late. Yes I admit it. However it is the way it was handled. After arriving I was taken to the back to the dental hygienist and she was so pleasant and so was the doctor, THEY completely turned the visit around. I was smiling and joking. Then it came time to check out and the office manger again made me feel like I didn’t matter….over an invoice for $34 from 2023 ( how many times have I been there since then). I mean it was ugly and I was extremely embarrassed all because she felt she needed to prove a point. I simply stated I would look into and get back with her (trying to avoid further confrontation) and she told me “NO YOU HAVE TO PAY TODAY, I will just send you to collection”. She continued and got louder so of course my voice did the same. I love this office but do not want to deal with her again to be treated this way. I hope this helps and does not come across as gripe session. Thank you for your time.

Fantastic experience: I cannot express how grateful I am for the amazing experience I had with my recent dental work. The team at this dental office were fantastic, especially Kayla and Doctor Tony, Doctor Kristopher, Cristian They showed such expertise and care in fixing my front teeth and a back tooth that needed a root canal. I was initially nervous about the procedure, but it turned out to be painless. Just a little discomfort that I easily managed with over-the-counter medication. I must say, this is the best dental place I have ever been to. I love my front teeth now and cannot stop smiling. I am pleasantly surprised by how well everything turned out. Thank you to the incredible team at this dental office.

She was very pleasant, professional and efficient. Dr Richmond came in to do the final check and talk with me about my concerns. Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional and rude, called me names, shouted on the phone. Excellent doctors, but y’all need better staff cuz they are ultimately the face of the practice.

Negative experience: Awful service. They failed to submit paperwork to insurer who came after us for the money and they did nothing to correct it. Now I have collections agency after me.

Fantastic experience: Allayed my hysterical fear of the dentist. Everyone polite,friendly,competent,professional And intelligent. The dentist I saw was wonderful …. Giving me bad news that did not seem so bad! The nurse(?) I saw was wonderful. Put me at ease right away.

Negative experience: I'm truly disheartened I'm in a place of having to write this review as I was initially charmed with staff. I was referred to here because I have an extreme case of rot and other dental issues. I had a consultation appointment were we initially created a plan to treat my issues. When I called to setup appointments, the receptionist told me what I wanted was wrong even though I had paperwork guidlining the best approach for my treatment and she ignored me consistently. I moved past this and had numerous failures with their fillings with days of receiving them. It came to me receiving a crown on a failed fillings. The crown came off within a day of having placed on. I got back to out on the same crown. The process was more brutal in their tactics to ensure it stay. Following 2 days, I notice aching/swelling moving up my face from that canine into my sinuses. The photo I added is how I left their office after I asked to come in for them to see. The swelling did not reside with the antibiotics they gave me after another 2 days, so I went to Urgent Care and they were appalled. This dental practice had no qualms about me leaving their office in this state. I'm breaking my comfort of anonymity to offer anyone a warning of the quality of work and true integral values of this business. If these doctors' had taken any type of accountability or reached out with professional empathy the following business Monday to inquire on how I was, I would've probably let this go.

Fantastic experience: Friendly and competent, great hours, awesome communication. Super convenient hours! Being able to come in Saturday morning allowed me to get dental care without needing time off work. Everyone was very nice, seemed to know exactly what they were doing, and were great about communicating: fully described what was going to happen before they did anything; told me clearly what they needed from me; explained what they saw from the results and what that meant; and also told me what I could do about the points they raised, both there in the office and at home long-term. Excellent for setting people at ease and keeping patients involved in our dental health. They were also very straightforward in their billing - patiently walked me through what charges were for which things, what had to wait until they got an answer from my insurance, what the options would be based on the response they got, and when we would revisit them. Left the appointment feeling totally confident in my understanding and sure of what to budget for my next visit, it was fantastic.

Fantastic experience: Came with my fiance for a wisdom tooth extraction, Tony and Kayla and the whole audubon group did a phenomenal job. Absolutely professional. I thought it was going to be nightmare. Considering it was Halloween, and I'm getting a tooth pulled and all "tis the season but they were Courteous, professional, gentle and totally transparent of what they were going to do and answering any and all our questions. My fiance was completely terrified at first, but they calmed her down and handled her situation like a true professional god bless yall!!!

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment today with Christina Pham & Dr. Tiffany Tran. Although it was just for a regular biannual clean up, I left with more information than I needed from them. They were very knowledgeable and made me feel more confident in my dental health. If you’re in the area and looking for a dental office, this is the place to be and Christina & Dr. Tran are the ones to see. Next time, I’ll make sure to bring my puppy with me. Not for a dental clean but because they are a pet friendly facility and who knows, Millie may even walk out with a teeth cleaning.

Negative experience: We were only at this dentist twice. The first time was great, no issues. But after the second visit we were presented a bill for almost 200$ dollars for services. What? I got to thinking after I got home. I called them back and they said that they no longer take our insurance. I asked why we were not told this while we were sitting in the waiting area. The response was that we were sent 1 e-mail. I said that we never received it, and their response was that it was most likely in the spam filter. Again, WHY were we not told this while sitting in the waiting area. WHY were we not called. Oh, the best part. After I cancelled our cleaning due to lack of insurance coverage, we received yet ANOTHER bill for over 100$. Very poor customer service. Very high bills to cover out of pocket with a limited income. I looked at how much our insurance paid since the Audubon Dental Group is no longer in network. A whopping $4.80.

I booked and went to my first appointment with Audubon and could immediately tell that they were different from any other dentist I had ever been to. They were personable, caring, empathetic, and they really took into consideration my anxiety. They explained every detail to me during my appointment and made it the best experience I could have imagined. I felt so comfortable that I was actually laughing and having a great time before my tooth extraction (normally i would be crying lol) They had excellent bedside manners and really exceeded my expectations. Fantastic experience: I moved to New Orleans and needed to establish a new dentist. My wife found Audubon so I decided to try them out as well and what a great experience it was. Their fast, friendly and efficient team had me in and out in an hour including full x-rays, cleaning and exam.

They go above and beyond to make you comfortable and are so friendly. Dr. Rappold has been my dentist for over 3 years and I’ve honestly never had a better dentist. My hygienist is amazing as well. Negative experience: Nice dentists/techs; terrible front office. Told me AFTER my visit they don’t take my dental insurance - said essentially it’s not worth the office’s effort to take insurance for military/federal employees/retirees. Been going there 9 yrs. Last year they informed us they had dropped our insurer (Metlife) - they filed a claim for us as out-of-network and we paid the difference. I checked with the office and changed insurance to one they said they accepted. This month I went to appointment, gave them new insurance card, proceeded with visit. After visit they informed me they DON’T take the federal version of Blue Cross, I had to pay in full and file my own out-f-network claim. And the woman who manages insurance was fairly surly about it. I’m now finding a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: my first time to have dr. hammack...lovely man, polite , warm and friendly and oh so competent. he did a quick surgical procedure which was painless and i am recovering well. can't say enough good about my experience. staff all very nice and supportive.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was great except for the woman at the front desk with dark hair. She and her computer face the dental area not the lobby. I looked at her to tell her something and she just looked at me. No smile. So I told the other receptionist who was nice.

Negative experience: My fiancé came in for a consultation about infection & root canal with the same dentist who pulled his wisdom teeth here at Audubon dental. The dentist mentioned that someone else at the practice would be preforming the root canal and said “trust me, you don’t want me doing a root canal” My fiancé canceled his follow up appointment after that and will not be back. A few months ago this same dentist pulled one of his molars, and now we’re questioning if that was even necessary. Our original dentist thinks the pulled molar could have been saved by a root canal….which this dentist clearly doesn’t know how to do.

Fantastic experience: Had a lovely experience. Entire staff was very friendly and knowledgable and I left there extremely happy after a cleaning! They answered all of my questions and I am happy to have found a new dentist that I like. Will keep going!

Fantastic experience: The people at Audubon dental group have been the best experience my wife and I could have hoped for. She doesn’t speak much English but felt so comfortable and at home with the way the technicians and dentists took care of her and ensured she understood everything. I gladly drive past 5 dental offices and an extra 20 minutes out of my way every time because of the most professional service and care the provide. I will never go anywhere else. Best dental clinic I’ve been to in my 42 years of life.

Fantastic experience: I am terrified of the dentist but Dr. Rappold was amazing. I had a root canal done the first time we met and he was so kind and helped me relax. The experience was great. The root canal itself was, well, a root canal, but it was manageable by how pleasant the staff was. Everyone was helpful, from the front desk ladies to the dental assistants. They were so gentle, communicative, TRUSTWORTHY, caring, skillful... and each of them also seemed happy to be there - a very good sign that things are being managed by leaders with ethics and compassion. If you are looking for a new dentist, as I was, this is the one! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! ADDENDUM: I just returned to Audubon for a follow up, and was equally impressed. Bree was both charming and hyper-professional. 10 stars! UPDATE 12.12.23: Still amazed by this place! I am really still so impressed and I have never actually been happy with a dental practice before in my life. EVER! Haha. But for real.

Negative experience: AVOID! I have been a loyal patient since 2018 and now will never return. They didn't tell me that my insurance wasn't accepted until AFTER my routine cleaning?! My insurance had been accepted for 5+ years and now all of a sudden it isn't accepted? The staff is very unprofessional and rude. One person was visibly bleeding from the leg/cussing during check out! Wow this place used to be wonderful and has really gone to hell. BEWARE!

Fantastic experience: I brought my four-year-old daughter in with me for our cleanings. The hygienist, Holland, started chatting her up from the walk back to the chair, then kept her engaged the entire time I was getting worked on. When it was my daughter's turn for a cleaning, she had grown so comfortable there that you would have thought this was something she does every day. It could not have been smoother. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I followed my dentist to this practice because she's amazing, but I was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming the entire staff is. Everyone smiles and/or says hello. I am currently in the process of getting an implant, and it's been about as simple of a process as one could have. I couldn't recommend Audubon Dental enough.

Fantastic experience: Staff is extremely professional and efficient. Doctors work with the latest technology to ensure the best outcomes. I would recommend this Dental office to anyone. I have a high degree in the skillset and the competency of both the doctors and the support team.

Fantastic experience: As a patient of Dr. Tony Hammack, I can safely say that this has been the best experience I’ve ever had at any dentist office. Dr. Hammack is so gentle and of course professional with his patients. I have had an amazing experience with Kayla,(his assistant) and everyone that has serviced me there. The entire staff, starting from the front desk, (Carolina and Star) has made me feel comfortable and at home. I would recommend Audubon Dental to anyone that is in need of service.

Negative experience: Avoid this practice! I have been a patient since 2018, and I went in for a routine cleaning this week only to be told AFTER my appt that my dental insurance was no longer considered in-network and I had a bill to pay. They knew this when I showed up to the appointment but did not bother to tell me until after services were provided. It was highly unprofessional, and I have asked to speak to the practice owner about this, but I am still waiting to receive a call. Please look for dental services at a more transparent practice.

Fantastic experience: Well, this group is outstanding! I'm an older man. And as a result, I had to educate 3 children before I could help myself. As a result, my teeth were neglected. Just, not a good thing, at all. The young Asian lady that cleaned my teeth was simply outstanding, and, fun to engage with. As was my doctor! Both are very much ladies of the, "Highest Order"! That said, l left this clinic feeling like I could count on them for the best care that anyone could hope for! Thank you all, so much! And, best of all??? Its affordable! May god bless you all!!!

Fantastic experience: This is an amazing office! The staff and Dr are very nice and actually stop to have conversations and to listen. I bring all my kids, the doctor explains everything to them and to me, the mom, as well. My kids actually look forward to going to the dentist!

Negative experience: I will say that the staff are friendly. And the service was nice. But the twinkles that they put on your teeth are not what you think. You are getting my husband and I came all the way from Mississippi. So he could get those done and 3 days later. They fell off. Call the office to try to inquire about this situation and I have yet to receive a response. .

Fantastic experience: Very thankful for ongoing excellent care from the team for my family (which includes all 3 kids) and me. Very responsive and attentive to questions and concerns. They did a great job with the cavity filling for my teenager who is very scared of needles!

Fantastic experience: Wow, so far, my experience has been a little slice of heaven, while working on my new smile. The staff, professional, courteous my treatment was personalized. they were expecting me when I arrived . It has been all those little things that means so much to some of us .special thanks to Tess. Amazing. The doctor pulled up a chair sat down with me, and devised a treatment plan around the results, I was trying to obtain. Very affordable specialized treatment. Forever Greatful, sincerely, Mr.Lifetime!

Negative experience: I have been using Audobon Dental Group the last 14 years. I was pretty satisfied with them at the beginning but lately, they have become impossible to deal with. They are rude (a lady once hang up on me while I was trying to make an appointment), they don't do what they promise, and they charge for things they shouldn't. I am definitely going somewhere else from now on. Update: Just received a claim for an x-ray where my patient responsibility is $0. Yet, they charge me $155 for it. This must be illegal. Also, they say, I admitted to the charge on the phone and they have a record of it. I can't fathom they lie so obviously. I am still waiting for the transcripts of those recordings. And the last update: Better Business Bureau has other complaints about their billing practices.

Fantastic experience: Having not returned to Audubon Dental since the start of Pandemic, the staff was awesome. From check/ in to the insurance staff, cleaning and finally the dentist. I'm glad I took an unexpected appointment right away!

Fantastic experience: Great first time at Audubon Dental. Star, who works reception, and all of the other front desk girls were so kind and helpful. Both dental assistants and Victoria, the dental hygienist, were all great during my visit. Very gentle and explained everything well.

Negative experience: I want to start with the positives. The staff is incredibly nice, as well as the dentists. The office is clean and comfortable. I’ve had a lot of work done here, and during longer procedures they would offer me a blanket and make sure I was comfortable. Loved the teeth cleaning; I’ve also had a successful wisdom tooth extraction. The problems started with a crown I needed redone. It was time to replace it, and the tooth got infected. I got a root canal and a new crown placed. It didn’t take, and I had to get that re-cemented (that is, glued back in when it fell out). I also had some fillings done in the meantime. I wish they had gone straight to suggesting a dental implant. Implants last a lifetime while crowns only last 5-10 years at most, and they are likely to fail since they have to shave away so much of your original tooth. Long story short my crown fell out again after it was re-cemented, and the only option left was an implant. I wound up getting the implant done somewhere else and had to redo all the fillings I got at Audubon Dental Group. In all, I spent over $4,000 at ADG for work that didn’t last a year and caused me a lot of grief and pain. Then I spent another $4,000 for the implant I should have gotten the first time around. I could be an anomaly, but be informed when considering your care here. Most dentists don’t guarantee their work to be successful (meaning no refunds! And you’ll have to pay them to fix it), so be sure to consider all your options.

Fantastic experience: The staff at Audubon Dental Group are the sweetest and most hard working people I have ever come across at any dentist office. Everyone of them deserves a fat raise. Most people dread going to the dentist, but the people here will legitimately brighten your day and brighten your smile. I never write reviews for businesses, but the lovely folks at Audubon Dental Group deserve all the praise and recognition for the wonderful job that they do.
