Positive experience: Hard to find. Heavy traffic & construction. It'll be finished but whew! bad traffic. I arrived on time for my appt today (7/29 @ 11:45 a.m.). Can't believe I got myself into this situation. I was not seen by a hygienist nor Dr Didado until around 1:00 p.m. Way too long of a wait so I thought I'd definitely was going to discuss this matter with someone. So finally Dr Didado & Nicki (I hope I got the correct hygienist's name) started working on my teeth. First the Novacaine shots. Not pleasant but tolerable. Hhhbhmmmm?? I really, really, really liked Dr Didado & Nicki(?). The doc zipped right through what needed to be done. No extra pain. Doc gave me antibiotics & pain medicine. The oral surgeon that pulled out a split-down-the-middle, length -wise molar tooth did not. Go figure??? Anyway, I recommend Dr Didado to do root canals. He knows how to get things fixed. Thanks doc & Nicki (?).

Fantastic experience: Great staff, the procedure was explained well to me and helped settle me down. I don't like dental work, but after my filling fell out, I had no choice but to get a root canal of I wanted to keep my tooth. The procedure was practically painless and went by fast. Today is the day after and still there isnt that much pain.

Fantastic experience: I just had my second root canal with the office in Hamilton Mill. Both times I was treated great from front office to the assistant and doc. It all went very smooth, painless and quick. I would definitely recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Didato and his assistant, Nikki, were amazing! I had never had a root canal before and had been in a lot of pain for about a week. I have some anxiety around dental work and asked her to explain everything as they worked on me. She took great care prepping me for the procedure, communicating very clearly what was happening at every step. Dr. Didato was compassionate regarding my pain and assessed my concerns as a whole, not just this one tooth. He was very calming during the procedure and very thorough. I was surprised that it was over rather quickly. Both of them took time to explain post care instructions and I really felt like they took their time, I did not feel like a number or like I was rushed in and out. I highly recommend Hamilton Mill Endodontics to anyone needing a root canal. They will take great care of you!

Fantastic experience: The staff were very informative, kind and upfront with me about the cost with or without services but more importantly I felt the care and commitment from the Dr right away. He assured me he would review and give me his best professional advice even if it wasn't something he was able to correct or repair as in save a tooth that a crown replacement caused some pain. Unfortunately the root was cracked so a re-treat of a root was not possible and it will eventually need to be extracted. Not super excited because before the crown was replaced it never hurt but during the install of the first crown there were issues so it was most likely just destined to eventually fail. I appreciated their kindness and reassuring me the advice my dentist gave to possibly extract would be the best solution.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Westra and Oliva were great. While I was waiting for my root canal to get started; Oliva kept checking on me to make sure I was ok. I really appreciated that. She was awesome. The music played overhead was good and help ease my nerves.

The dentist I saw for the consultation was very trustworthy and honest and I have nothing but respect for that ! I did not hear the news I wanted but they called my dentist and gave me a referral to a oral surgeon that was literally 2 mins away , I went there directly after my consultation and was scheduled and greeted with kindness !!! I’m glad I know now how to move forward with getting the relief I need , very grateful for the experience !!!

Olivia was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions and Dr. Westra performed a painless root canal (my first one). Fantastic experience: This was my first time there and it was urgent since unexpected pain warranting a root canal happened 3 days before was going out of town. The scheduled me for the next day! Everyone from the front desk to Sam, the dental assistant and Dr Didato were wonderful. I would highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Dr Westra and his assistant were spot-on. They efficiently determined I needed a root canal in a major molar that’s been giving me trouble for a while (that climaxed in pain and infection, when we were out of the country on a cruise…of all times!). After a series of x-rays and tests for root damage, they gave me the good news (the tooth could be saved!) and the bad news (I needed a root canal). They offered immediate removal…or said I could wait. I’d just read an article featuring a woman who had been beautiful in her youth, but as she aged, now looks like a monster, because of a tooth infection that got so bad, it couldn’t be reversed! I conceded to, “Let’s DO IT NOW!!!” After some “GOOD NUMBING”, GREAT CARE, GREAT EXPLAINING STEP-by-STEP, and 15 minutes of NO PAIN…they were done, and I was on my way, with prescriptions for aftercare. It’s been 8 hours since my procedure, and I just picked up my meds. I’m thrilled to add that I will not be needing the prescribed pain meds - still NO PAIN (not even sensitive)! From what I overheard other patients saying today, toothaches are serious painful business, and by the time a patient has to see an Endodontist, it’s the same as needing to go to an Emergency Room. The staff must be ready to DO SURGERY on the fly, if needed. My favorite doctor at this location, now only works out of their Watkinsville location, so I was reluctant to see a different doctor. I AM SO GRATEFUL and GLAD kept my appt with Dr. Westra! He and his assistant exceeded my expectations (which were VERY high indeed)!

Fantastic experience: I had to have an emergency root canal and they were able to get me in quickly and understand my needs perfectly. Although it was not totally painless it was one of the easiest root canals I’ve ever had done and took care of my problem. Dr Westra is a very skilled and caring dentist.

From the moment I meet Dr Deans assistant, Jessica, I was treated wonderfully. Fantastic experience: I was dreading my denist's referral to visit Dr. Westra for yet another root canal visit. However, both the staff and Dr. Westra were very professional, and transparent regarding my treatment and it's possible cost. Dr. Westra was very patient and thorough in assessing the root (no pun intenteded) cause of my tooth pain. After reviewing my x-rays and a lot of poking and prodding, he concluded that I didn't need a root canal after all!....needless to say that was a big relief as I went there fully convinced and prepared for a root canal. I hope I don't have to see Dr. Westra again, but if I had to, Dr. Westra, is my root guy! I highly recommed him if you ever find yourself needing a Endodonist, who's thorough and caring.

Negative experience: The doctor was adequate. Payment was required in full upfront without prior notice, with no payment plans offered—citing concerns about “patients not coming back”. I was advised to get a CareCredit card, but needed to call them to set it up, which I couldn't do before the office closed at 5 p.m., as it was already after 4:50 p.m.

Fantastic experience: After being in intermittent agony for about four days, I went in for an evaluation appointment for my aching tooth. It was quickly determined that I needed a root canal procedure. The entire process was fantastic! Dr. Dean and his assistant were wonderful. She took great care prepping me for the procedure, communicating very clearly what was happening at every step. As a team they worked so well together. They were calm, positive, and extremely professional. The entire procedure was over in about 30 minutes and completely pain free! I was able to eat and drink one hour after I left the office. Fantastic experience: I had a root canal in the very back of my mouth by Dr. Dean. I had avoided it for almost 2 years from a terrible experience with another endo (and another tooth) in the past. This was so easy. I kept waiting for the awful part but it was not bad. I researched on google and Nextdoor and Dr. Dean had great reviews. It took a week to get an appointment but antibiotics from my dentist helped with the pain. I came in and start to finish including X-rays was an hour. Alyssa, his assistant, was very professional. Everything was super clean and the office was really nice if that matters. It wasn’t cheap but not as expensive as I thought. Well worth the pain being gone. If I need another root canal, I’ll definitely come back.

Positive experience: The only problem I had with them is they refused to bill both my insurance. They said the office policy is to just bill the primary insurance. This is a little frustrating, because I now had to come out of pocket and have to try and get reimbursed through my secondary insurance. My dentist that referred me to them always bills both my insurance to keep the out of pocket cost low for me.

Fantastic experience: The front desk was nice and respectful. The dental assistant was nice just be careful with the suction as in putting it in the right place. The dentist was nice he did what he needed to do. Everything went fast and smooth. I will be coming back . The facilities were clean and they had magazines in the waiting room and a boring channel but that's expected of course.

Fantastic experience: I was in and out with no problems! Everyone was very friendly and professional! Everything was clean/assessable/open and very comfortable! They went over everything and made sure I could see the x~rays! Before the procedure as well as check on me thru out the exam! Only thing they need IMO is a TV over the dental chairs.Too keep me from being nervous lol! But seriously,the staff there were awesome! She made sure I was very comfortable!I hate they don’t do extractions! That’s how comfortable I was in their chair! But other than that, I had a blast to say I had a root canal lol)

Fantastic experience: This practice is very efficient, professional, clean curteous and punctual. I like seeing g Dr. Didado. I looked through the general comments and saw the scattered 1-3 stars. These were isolated and situation-specific. None discussed the practice causing pain to the patient (other than one patient, who had significant extenuating circumstances). I would definately recommend this practice without hesitation. If you need heavy communication from the office or very quick deposit refunds, etc. this is probably not a good fit, but the care is excellent.

Positive experience: The two young ladies at check in/out points were great; patient and pleasant. Dr Dean and his assistant were, “meh” for a first time visit. They seemed to want to rush through my consultation as soon as possible. I popped in at the suggestion of my dentist so this was a “seen on site” visit (please know, I was willing to make an appointment). The assistant’s initial assessment and line of questioning was a bit on the aggressive side. Dr Dean didn’t ask if I had any questions. I left with questions. It’s all good. I’ll pray about it.

Fantastic experience: I had a root canal done @ the Hamilton mill location and it was a fast and easy process. I don’t like needles much, but my endodontist and the assistant made me very relaxed and comfortable. I would recommend anyone seeking a root canal, this is the place to have the procedure done.
