Fantastic experience: I came in for my annual cleaning and was surprised to find out that one of my teeth had significant decay and needed to be extracted. I was nervous and honestly a bit scared—I have a very low tolerance for pain. But Dr. Ray Cornay was able to fit me into his schedule and his team were absolutely amazing. Dr. Cornay took the time to explain everything thoroughly, made sure I felt comfortable, and to my surprise, the entire process was over before I knew it AND the extraction was completely painless. His calm demeanor and professionalism made all the difference. I highly recommend Dr Ray!!

Both have been a really positive experience. The staff is extremely kind and accommodating, I’ve never had any payment or insurance billing issues like I have at other offices, and I feel like I leave every appointment more confident in my smile.

Negative experience: Unacceptable Experience and Concerns Regarding Hygiene and Billing I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent dental cleaning appointment. My experience was highly concerning due to misrepresentation regarding insurance coverage, questionable billing practices, and, most alarmingly, a severe lack of sterile protocol from the dental assistant. From the outset, I was informed that my routine cleaning would be free as the office was in-network with my insurance carrier. However, when I inquired about potential charges, the staff was evasive and unclear, which immediately raised a red flag. The most concerning aspect of my visit was the dental assistant. She appeared to be new and demonstrated a profound lack of awareness and training. She repeatedly failed to hear or respond to the dentist's instructions, requiring him to repeat himself multiple times. Her hygiene practices were particularly alarming: * She frequently put her gloved fingers in my mouth, then immediately touched the computer screen, and then returned her same gloves to my mouth. * She handled the X-ray gun with these same contaminated gloves, touched the screen again, and then put her fingers back in my mouth. * At one point, she put a pen in her mouth and then proceeded to put her fingers back in my mouth. This blatant disregard for sterile technique significantly increased my anxiety during the appointment. Following this, the dentist informed me that I had tartar and inflammation only on the right side of my mouth and recommended a deep cleaning costing $720. Given the previous issues and my knowledge of my own dental health, this assessment felt disingenuous. I immediately expressed my desire for a second opinion, as I was confident there was no such issue, especially confined to only one side. My insurance plan covers two cleanings per year at no cost. After leaving your office, I promptly scheduled an appointment with another in-network dentist, where I received a proper and thorough cleaning without any issues. However, shortly after my visit to your office, I developed a sore throat, which I strongly suspect was a direct result of the dental assistant's unsanitary practices and cross-contamination. I urge you to address these serious issues immediately, particularly the unhygienic practices of your staff. No patient should be subjected to such a risk of infection. I also recommend a review of your billing transparency and the accuracy of your dental assessments.

Fantastic experience: Today we had our first appointment due to a referral. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed. Upon waiting about 10 minutes to be taken to the back , we got to observe the office and how Dr. Ray interacted with his staff . He was super friendly and the atmosphere is very comfortable. Dr. Ray was super thorough and explained everything in detail. He was even able to fit us in to complete a large filling. Not to mention payment options , we did a payment plan that took less than 5 minutes to apply for that was reasonably priced. It is easy to give a 5 star to the first dentist office that feels like home instead of a cold office. You won't be disappointed to come here and you will be treated amazing.

After mediocre experiences with other dentists, I decided to give Marietta Dental Professionals a try after reading other reviews. The staff was indeed kind, careful and professional in working with me on a plan. Gone were the old days of subtle shaming that kept me out of regular dental check-ups. Recently, I had a crown put in to repair that broken tooth. Good as new! I highly recommend Dr. Ray at Marietta Dental Professionals for their kind care and excellent handling of my old tired teeth and getting me back on track.

They make sure you understand everything and the best way to go about any treatment needed!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!

Negative experience: They're great people and they do a nice job, but I can no longer recommend them. They've missed my last two appointments (when I came in they said "oh, we meant to call you about that"), and when I reached out to try to get things straight they promised to get back to me "as soon as possible" -- that was a week ago, with nothing. I feel bad for them. They're good folks, but they apparently bought a horrible system to run their practice, and it'd led to them being wildly unreliable. I suspect they got sucked into a bunch of fancy automation and AI stuff, and it's a disaster. It's quite a shame. EDIT: Lowering to one-star. Their AI bot keeps texting me, but no humans are ever able to help.

Most dentists I’ve been to have made us feel like I was on a conveyor belt. Walk in, get whatever work done, set up your next appointment. Pay the bill, and get pushed out the door. Here you’re not rushed. You can talk, ask questions, much different.

One of the things I like about MDP is they go out of their way to be empathetic and non judgmental about your dental profile. They just care for your teeth and gums in whatever state they're in. Which is genuinely telling about the experience they want you to have.

Dr. Amit made me a guard for my teeth, fixed the crack and made a crown to protect the tooth. He was very gentle and caring through all the procedures and talked me through every step.
