Negative experience: My initial impression of this dental office was pleasant—the waiting area was clean and welcoming, and I was hopeful about my visit. Lucas, the dental technician, stood out as a bright spot; he took the time to explain things to me clearly and made me feel somewhat at ease. Unfortunately, my experience quickly took a turn for the worse. I came in with a broken tooth and was in significant pain, but I felt that the rest of the staff, including the dentist, lacked empathy and compassion. Their demeanor was flat and disengaged, and I did not feel cared for or supported during a vulnerable moment. It’s hard not to wonder if my experience was influenced by my being a Black person, as I felt dismissed and invisible. Ultimately, I left feeling disappointed and hurt. Dental visits can be stressful enough without feeling like your pain and concerns are not taken seriously. I will not be returning to this office and cannot recommend it to others seeking compassionate care.

Fantastic experience: Cleaning experience was very invigorating . Luke the technician was very knowledgeable informing me of each phase of the treatment and leaving my gums with a clean and massaged feeling! Highly recommended professional service!

Fantastic experience: From my initial phone call to set up my appointment, to the receptionist, to the dental assistant, to the dentist, to the 'finance lady', and even to the patients in the waiting area, everybody, I couldn't have asked for a better experience and atmosphere. Negative experience: I scheduled a cleaning as a new patient for a month ago but they cancelled that appt without reason so I scheduled again for today. Walked out after 18 xrays and a treatment plan that included a cleaning, a crown and 3 fillings. Then when I get home, I get a text for the cleaning 6 months from now. Uh, no! This is a money grubbing business. I only chose them bc they were closest to me and in network with delta dental. Do not go here.

Negative experience: Not a good experience at all, would not recommend. Hygienist was pretty aggressive. I’ve never experienced a dentist cleaning where I was in physical pain but that’s what happened here. They even told me they “don’t have time” to clean my teeth at my scheduled appointment which I made 2 months in advance, not to mention they cancelled the first one on me. Very unsatisfied will not be going back

Negative experience: An awful experience. Their website had a special advertised at $99 for cleaning and exam for all new patients. I contacted them and made an appointment for this special. Upon arrival I was not only told that they may not be able to perform my cleaning same day but that the cleaning may be more money. After my exam they wanted me to pay $371 for a cleaning alone after paying $100 for the exam. Needless to say I did not get my cleaning. FALSE Advertising. I didn’t read the reviews before going (which I normally do). And now that I have I will not be back. They NEED to take down that advertisement if they don’t plan on honoring it. They seem to be MONEY hungry like the other reviews have stated.

Positive experience: Seamed a little disorganized, causing it to take too long. Otherwise a good experience.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a new dentist because my previous one no longer took my insurance. I made the perfect choice; they are amazing! Very friendly, professional and very nice atmosphere. I especially liked the tvs on the ceiling.

Fantastic experience: First of all, I would like to say I love this place. It was so friendly so clean. Everyone here was so nice my longtime dentist of over 15 years have retired and I’m the matriarch of an extremely large family so it was left up to me to find a new dentist as a matter, fact, I have been going to the dentist all these years and never knew that I had an abscess going under an old crown, but they found it and I am so grateful because I have been suffering and silence thank you so much to all the staff this place was a godsend.

Fantastic experience: Great Staff Members from the receptionist to doctor. Receptionist very informative. The Hygienist (Luke) was great and friendly. The employee that did my x rays was very patient with me and sweet. The lady that break down my plans was very good of explaining and giving me options.

Negative experience: Being treated like a number would be an upgrade from how this dentist interacts with patients. He didn’t introduce himself, know why I was there or even look at the whole problem area before telling me a root canal and crown is the best option. He wouldn’t allow me to answer a question before talking over me. If you want a dentist that will build a treatment plan that you’re comfortable with, this one is NOT it.

Fantastic experience: Turns out my anxiety and hesitancy were completely unwarranted. This was the most pain free filling I've ever experienced. The dentist's name is Dr. Salvador. Outstanding.

Positive experience: Tooth extraction was well done, preparation for the procedure was easily applied. A detailed explanation of the procedure would have been most helpful for understanding the tooth extraction process. The take home directions for after surgery care were too long and convoluted. Try a bullet style direction format.

Negative experience: I’ve been coming to this dental office for a while, and I will say the staff is always professional and polite. That said, I do have a major concern that has really affected my overall experience. After having my mouth worked on and drilled into for over three hours, I was shocked that I wasn’t prescribed anything for pain relief. Once the numbing wore off and my face was swollen and throbbing, I realized there was nothing I could take other than over-the-counter meds. I’m not asking for narcotics I’m actually allergic to most of them but I don’t understand why something as basic as a prescription for ibuprofen 800mg couldn’t be provided. Instead, I was given something for inflammation, which didn’t help with the actual pain. To make things worse, when I called to ask if a prescription could be sent to my pharmacy, I never got a follow-up call, and nothing was ever sent. That lack of communication and care was really frustrating. I’ve genuinely liked this office because it’s convenient and the staff has always been kind, but this experience left me feeling unheard and uncared for as a patient. Once I finish this procedure, I’ll likely look for a new dental office because I’ve never had one where you go through an intense procedure and are left to manage post-op pain on your own with no support.

Negative experience: I called in a dental emergency and couldn’t get an appointment until 3 weeks later. They expected me to pay $300 before getting looked at, and not even asking if I had insurance. They took two X-rays told me it was going to hurt. The dentist didn’t even take a moment to examine the X-ray or care to explain. Told me I needed a root canal and a crown for a chipped tooth that doesn’t cause any pain or problems. Ridiculous!

Fantastic experience: Luke was very patient with my mom as she is partially blind, his sense of humor I loved and he went over things as he was doing them so that she’ll know what it is that he was going to be doing. Made my mom and my self feel really comfortable as she is a new patient. His service has me thinking about bringing myself and my kids in.

Negative experience: BEWARE, DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! This place uses dirty dental tools and the floors, trim, and dental chairs are covered in dust and grime. The tools alone grossed me out and one had a candy wrapper covering it while the others had nothing. I also had to ask them to get a clean set. I have also had to go back because the Dr. botched a filling, twice now. I'm not returning to this place.

Negative experience: During a tooth Extraction the Dentist damaged the tooth next to it by Breaking a new crown that I just paid for at another dentist office the dentist at Covington Center for family refused to replace the crown he broke unless I pay over a $1000 with insurance I was just told that Unfortunately, accidents happens and it’s the patient responsibility to pay for these accidents and if I want it done for free, I needed to go back to the dentist office that put it in even though Covington Center for Family Dentistry negligence.

Negative experience: Update: I scheduled 2 appointments with a new insurance and the office kept quoting me the fee from my old insurance. They stated they would call me back with the information. It’s been 2 weeks and no phone call. Called today 2/5/2025 to see if I can schedule an appointment because I have a tooth giving me pain. The lady who answered asked for my DOB 5x’s then tools me I missed my appointment. I previously told her I rechecked that appointment and have a new one. I know what I did. She thought that was so funny. This isn’t Comedy Central. This is business. Then they can’t tell me how much I’ll be paying. I will search for a new dentist. I don’t trust them. This was the first visit and it was a very pleasant experience. The whole team was excellent. Kia made me feel like part of the family. There was another young petite lady I believe her name was Shae was also awesome as Kia. They explained everything from beginning to end. This was the first time I felt at ease at a Dentist office and I’m 53 years old. Which means I am extremely pleased. I have found my Dentist office finally!

Positive experience: Provider wanted me to go thru another comprehensive exam when I already had one to submit to him. This was not being efficient with my time while I was in the clinic.

Fantastic experience: I am elated to give a review regarding my experience at Covington Center for Family Dentistry. I have been going to this facility for over 5 years. Their professionalism and Cleanliness is what stood out to me during the Pandemic. They were exceptional. I felt safe to take my mask off with all of the precautions that they were undertaking. In addition, I must say it is also comforting how they will go the extra mile to be attentive to their individual patients' needs to lessen any nervousness. I appreciate how knowledgeable the hygienist/internist is on point. I am comfortable with any of the technicians but I must say Mr. Luke is absolutely exceptional. I am highly pleased from the front office staff, including billing they take the time to explain in extensive details and let you make your own decisions without pressure and no coercion. I have even experienced a couple of situations that I didn't agree with in the office that cause me concern, but once I shared my thoughts, they did not hesitate to address my concerns to my satisfaction. I am also comfortable with Dr. Sal. He gives you his opinion and breaks everything down so that you understand and allow me to make an informed decision on my dental care. I am very pleased with Covington Center For Family Dentistry at 10373 Industrial Blvd. Covington, Georgia 30014. Normally, I never do a reviews but as I states above. I was elated to give a review on my experience with this practice.

Fantastic experience: My hygienist Keshae was the absolute BEST!! Very professional and so gentle. She made sure I was comfortable and informed on everything throughout the visit. Her assistant Luke, aka "Abby" was very helpful as well. 10 out of 10 recommend. Dr. Salvador was both quick and efficient as well. Wonderful!!

Negative experience: I drove 40 minutes to get a cleaning done and all they did was x rays on my teeth and told me to book another appointment for a cleaning months away. All of this could’ve been done in one appointment this was my first experience like this at a dentist office. 0/10 do not recommend this dentist office.

Negative experience: I scheduled a cleaning with this place and get there for them NOT TO CLEAN MY TEETH. I am currently in braces and I had my wires removed prior to going to this appointment for cleaning and they only did Xrays and comprehensive exam. I specifically asked the scheduler ( Halley Brock) what would take place on my first visit and I quote "Xray, comprehensive exam, and cleaning". Just a waste of my time and my Orthodontist time removing my wires from my braces and gas for NOTHING! I will be reporting this to corporate and my insurance to make sure they wasn't billed for cleaning! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MEDIOCRE PLACE TO ANYONE !! SIGNED, DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER

Fantastic experience: Finally, I found a dentistry that's transparent about the work I need done in my mouth; giving me the option to choose what I want done. Moreover, the Office Staff front/back were professional/polite. The Dentist broke down my exam in 'lay' term so I could understand what's going on in my mouth. Lastly, my consultation of cost/plan of dental work needed was explained/set-up without force of their plan of action; however, allowing me to choose what I can afford. Covington Center for Family Dentistry is highly recommended. I look forward to my upcoming visits.

Fantastic experience: I cannot rave enough about this dental office! From the front desk to the hygienists, yall really be rocking it in the customer service dept! I usually have Luke but I had a last minute cleaning and ended up with Sara who was such a light and funny! Luke and Sara are super knowledgeable. They provide tough love when it comes to our teeth. I can tell they love what they do just how they always interact with me! I really love this place!

Negative experience: I left this place very angry today. When I made this appointment I made it clear that I needed a tooth extracted and had a referral and was told it could be done. When I saw the dentist at this place, I was told I needed to see an Endodontist to see if I needed a root canal or extraction. I informed him that I already saw an Endodontist and they stated I could do one or the other, which is why I had the referral for the extraction. I was sent to go over my care plan. The lady asked if I’d like to schedule. I informed her I was supposed to have the extraction today. She stated an extraction is not done on the first visit. I was never told this. I wasted my PTO and drove 1.5 hours for this appointment to be told this bullcrap. This information should’ve been conveyed when I explained why I was making the appointment in the first place. I called back after I calmed down to speak with a manager (Kristen or Kristina or something) to express my concerns. I left a message with whomever answered and I didn’t get a call back.

Fantastic experience: So professional, clean and there’s tv’s on the ceiling! My concerns are actually listened to and if something hurts they stop and give you more medicine- you feel like the priority for sure!

Positive experience: The assistant was very friendly and helpful. The doctor was efficient. Next time, however, it won't be on a Friday. The bleeding didn't stop that Friday though I applied pressure several times. Luckily, it stopped Saturday morning.

Fantastic experience: Took my 4 yr old here for his first dentist appt and Luke was awesome with him. Made him feel comfortable and talked him through every step. We will back in 6 months for his next cleaning!

Negative experience: Review about my experience in 2023: Harassed me about wanting nitrous for my tooth extraction. The nitrous was so old it did absolutely nothing. I was in pain during the extraction and dentist wouldn't stop to give me more novacain. The 2 cavity fillings they did have never felt right and to this day I still have pain there.

Positive experience: My hygienist is very cool & nice. It feels transactional in every other aspect. They also do not keep track of the fees properly when it comes to billing. I have overpaid many times for procedures my insurance paid fully. So just keep that in mind and keep track.

Fantastic experience: The staff was amazing and comforting but the dentist I can’t really say because we never made eye contact once he came in and he didn’t seem to friendly because all he said was he would do a root canal while standing behind me and the assistant came back end! Well we are retired military and called the nearest military base and will receive a root canal free and they will take care of all my dental needs, yeaAaa! Dentistry is very expensive, so I was let down before I even got there and once I got there I couldn’t stop crying due to previous bad experiences with dental care, and to learn I would have to come out of pocket over $800 is insane!!

Fantastic experience: Covington center for family dentistry has a great atmosphere with friendly employees. My hygienist Luke always provides great suggestions and always a pleasure conversing with him about my dental care and needs. Dr. Salvador is also great with providing superior care and I’m confident that he knows his craft well.

Negative experience: The office is nice and usually pretty clean. The hygienists we’ve dealt with so far have been nice and knowledgeable- we enjoy dealing with them! However, the practice itself is very transactional and not so organized. This is the first dental practice that I’ve had that is consistently off when it comes to quoting and pricing. Each time we go in, we leave with a balance that we weren’t made aware of… for example they’ll run the insurance, let us know “You will owe us $72 at the procedure.” And then we’ll pay $72 and get a bill for another $30 or so. We’ve started to move our family members one by one to new practices and today was a big reminder of why. Our daughter went in for a routine cleaning appointment.. which is usually 100% covered. Get a call on the way home saying I owe them $43 because they charge an “exam” fee of $72 for the dentist to look after the cleaning is done. An under 30 second examination… no warning or anything about an extra charge. It’s not an insurance problem. It’s a greed issue.

Negative experience: Several visits. No straight answers. One word answers. Went for extraction. Opted to pay extra for nitrous. They attempted to take blood pressure 6 times with 2 different devices. They put a loose nose cap on. Then they had to discuss how to turn oxygen and nitrous on. I never got any nitrous. I base that on fact when I told them I had no change in mood the doctor argued with me. And they immediately walked me out. No delay for gas to wear off. I don't like needles. But I won't be talked to like I am stupid. Doctor has no compassion or care.

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to reach out and express my gratitude for the wonderful experience my son had during his second visit to the dentist. As you may recall, my son’s first experience wasn't so great because we discovered that he didn't like mint toothpaste. However, thanks to your attentiveness and willingness to accommodate his preferences, he had an absolute blast during his recent visit. The bubblegum-flavored toothpaste you provided made all the difference! Not only did Luke make my son feel comfortable, but he also managed to completely change his perception of going to the dentist. He's now thrilled about the idea and talks about you as the person who made it all possible. Your efforts have truly made a lasting impact on him. Once again, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for all that you do. Your dedication and kindness have turned my son into a dental enthusiast! He's already looking forward to his next visit. Negative experience: My children attended this office for two years. I brought up a concern to the dentist on visit 2 and 3. It was brushed off each time because he has baby teeth. After the last visit the dentist continued to show no concern or care to listen to my concerns we transferred to another dentist. This is now a major issue and will require a lot of work, most of which could have been avoided in the beginning. I will definitely take the blame for not trusting my gut sooner but if you are looking for anything past a cleaning I would look elsewhere.
