Jasmine, my dental hygienist, was an absolute delight! The time flew by, even though I had to keep stopping because she had me laughing so hard! She was thorough, friendly and engaging. Couldn't give enough stars to this clean and professional establishment, but in particular, to Jasmine. Bravo!

Negative experience: Practice has changed dramatically. It's now a car lot. I went in for a cleaning and the sales pitch for a deep cleaning was almost immediate. Needles to say after wasting over an hour with xrays and the ridiculous cost of my portion of a multi phase plan that required multiple visits, I left without a cleaning which I desperately needed. The new owner(s) of this practice have turned their dental hygienists into used car sales people. After being a patient of that practice for several years and experiencing the difference from former ownership to current ownership, I will not be returning to this practice.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient since 2022 and was slightly concerned when I learned my dentist had retired. I always feel some apprehension when changing dentists. So I wanted to share that I was very pleased to meet Dr. Shapiro and be in his care. He did a great job identifying a cracked tooth after my last cleaning. It was next to a 20+ year old crown, so I had him check it too and I'm so glad he did! That crown had a leak and decay under it (no pain since it also had a root canal). He completed both crowns, side by side, in the same future appt, and I had no issues. He was great at communicating what to expect during the treatment. Gladys was so comforting and attentive during the entire process. Thank you Dr. Shapiro for your genuine care, communication, and expertise! Thank you Gladys for being so wonderful! I also appreciate that the facility is clean and the staff and hygienists have all been friendly.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit and I was expecting to have my teeth cleaned but instead had a lot of X-rays with state of the art equipment. Cleaning has been set up for later in the month. Everyone I saw in the office seemed very happy to be there - receptionists, hygienists, etc. Kiera (sp?) and Barbara were wonderful. I was impressed.

Negative experience: Was charged for fluoride without being told my insurance did not cover it. I would have like to be told prior.

Fantastic experience: The place is clean, front staff are very friendly. The dental hygienist was very thorough and explained everything he was doing! He did not cut corners. Better than the dentist I left in Virginia. He glossed with care, especially when I have Veneers. He cleaned my teeth better than the other senior staff from other places. I thought the Virginia practice was great, now I have greatness. I love my new dentist, he was great! I love that the staff use magnifying glasses to see my teeth better. As a RN I understand the reasoning for the magnifying glasses. I appreciate it very much. If your staff are not using the magnifying glasses then you should think twice about their greatness. Just being nice is not good enough. Practice what you preach is golden to me. Thanks for being honest and caring for your patients. That's what it's all about!!

Negative experience: Terrible organization. After my cleaning I was told that the dentist Shapiro was busy with a procedure and that I would have to wait an undisclosed amount of time to see him after he saw other patients in line before me after I was already there for a hour and 15 minutes. Terrible I left. They actually wanted me to come back another day for what he should have been able to do while I was there. Again...A terrible experience.

Positive experience: Usually they are pretty good but at my most recent appt I sat for 40 minutes before being seen. Just there for a cleaning. They call/text me 3 times to confirm my appt, they should do the same if they are running late so I’m not wasting my time. My hygienist was great and very knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: I have SEVERE dental anxiety due to past experiences with other offices. This office is immediately comforting. The lobby is beautiful with plenty of seating and refreshments. The dental assistants and front desk are amazingly kind and patient. The doctor is thorough, explains any procedures and works with your budget to provide you the best care. Overall I am extremely pleased with my visit. They eased my anxiety and too great care of me!

Negative experience: Always an issue with the front desk people. Dentist herself is great however. Once had an emergency appointment. They were able to schedule me that appointment with the dentist. I sat in the lobby for 1.5 hours past my appointment time, only to have a dental assistant look at my teeth and refused to see if it was a problem. They lied about seeing the dentist. My wisdom teeth were impacted. Needed them out for a while. Pain was severe, likely infected. Couldn't sleep the pain was a 10/10. She looks at them, goes "yeah you need your wisdom teeth out". Like yeah, I know lady. I told her I'm here to see if it's infected and if I need antibiotics. "Oh, I'm not sure. You'll need to book an appointment with the dentist to verify that." THATS WHAT THIS IS. Had to go to another dentist office who confirmed the infection and gave me antibiotics to hold me over until the teeth removal. Then 5 months later, here for cleaning and xrays. I know for a fact I haven't had xrays in a year. The women scheduling my appointment confirms that I'm due for xrays. Few days before my appointment they call to reschedule since the dentist is out. No problem. Arrive at my new appointment and the hygienist says no xrays needed and no dentist today. You rescheduled me confirming I'm due, i know for a fact I'm due for them as 6 months ago was also a cleaning only (I have the medical records confirming this since) and they fought me on it. Never got my xrays. This office also only offers Floride once a year. If you want it both cleanings they give a hard time. Always used to get it 2x a year. The dentist is great here but for some reason the staff will just refuse to ever let you see her.

Fantastic experience: So far I am very impressed. Front staff, technicians, hygienist and the DDS were all pleasant and accommodating. Today’s technology enables you to see the real status of your mouth, and their recommendations were clear to me that they were right on target. I have a deep clean and a cavity appointment scheduled in May, and I have no doubt that will be equally satisfying. Maybe a little painful, but the end results will be a HAPPY mouth..

Negative experience: schedule an appointment in January and had to wait three months to get in once I checked in for my appointment. I was there for an hour and a half for them to not even clean my teeth. They said that even with no cavities, I required a deep cleaning and needed to schedule that out two months later in order to get my teeth cleaned I've had no history of bad teeth ever. Went and got a second opinion from a different dentist and they agreed that Pharrell Parkway dental was not truthful in their assessment of my teeth. This place used to be so great before Covid and after Covid they've gone downhill I will not be going back since they can't seem to tell the truth or even do a cleaning, which is what their job is. Also, the doctor said that the deep cleaning is recommended because that is the only option and that the reason why they can't clean my teeth because it will be malpractice. I'm pretty sure if you were to leave someone in a bad situation and not do anything to fix the problem that is malpractice. After reading further bad reviews, the management on the to say call them to talk about the situation instead of the manager, calling the customer to fix the problem that shows that there is no accountability for the higher-ups and that they are allowing these dental assistance to say whatever they want and not be truthful

The team always takes the time to make sure I fully understand my treatment plan and everyone is very kind. Like most dental offices, this place can get pretty busy, but I've never felt like time or attention on me was sacrificed.

Negative experience: The worst experience I’ve ever had I was very mislead by the lady who set up my appointment do not I repeat do not waste your time with these folk

Negative experience: So unbelievably disappointed in this dentist. Waited nearly 3 months from the time we moved here to get an appointment to be told that I have a cavity, and then I have to wait another 2 months in some pain. My cavity was just filled last week. A week later I had a little bit of pain on the bottom of my mouth on the same side put on the bottom and the VA finally gives dental coverage due to being 100% disabled now. So the VA gives me a few choices of where I want to go. After not even a week, I went to a different dentist who also has good reviews. This dentist just found I have two more cavities he said one would have been hard to see and the other one was clear as day but he said it's just a little sticky but it's still a cavity. Although the dental hygienist was nice, my wife and I both felt she was a little rough. Farrow Parkway dentist missed both of these cavities from not even a week ago. My wife and I both thought the dentist was way too fast and did not give enough time to make sure we were okay. My wife is also going to be looking for a new dentist as well. Something else to note. This dentist office uses the old archaic x-ray system where you have to put your mouth on this little device that crunches your gum line or whatever and they take an x-ray then they go to another place and they take an x-ray then they go to another place and they take an x-ray each time making you bite down on this hard plastic thing that typically hurts. The new dentist I just went to has the updated device, which goes all the way around your head with one great x-ray. The only reason why I'm giving two stars instead of one is that I felt like the office was very clean, and they sent the x-rays to the new dentist's office. I wouldn't have even looked for a new dentist if I didn't get VA Dental benefits. I'm so happy I went to a different dentist, I really wanted to love this dentist as my wife and I met someone , right when we moved here, that said the female dentist is awesome, but the male dentist is kind of a jerk. We had no experience with the guy,

I was unable to get an emergency tooth fixed at this visit (repair was scheduled 3 weeks out, due to getting a medical release from my physician). Fantastic experience: I just got off the phone with Sam and my insurance company because I couldn’t understand my copay. Sam was so patient as she helped me understand my bill and is even resubmitting a portion of my bill to see if she can get what I owe lowered. I am so impressed with her patience and competence but especially her patience as it took me more than a minute to understand the math. She is awesome and we need more like her around here dealing with all us old people. Thank you Sam for making this process so much easier for me!!

Negative experience: So I had a not so nice of an experience here. The staff was very nice and polite and helpful but when it came down to talking to the doctor, I only got maybe 5 minutes of her time and it felt like she was rushing me to make a decision. She didn’t take time to walk me through the diagnosis and talked down to me when I asked questions.

Negative experience: My experience with them is generally frustrating. Multiple visits for the same work that needed to be done. Im not even sure if some of that work needed to be done in the first place. I went in for a tooth ache last week. The hygenist just shoved the thing in my mouth and hurt the inside of my gums. Creating yet another problem. I really want to give them the benifit of the doubt because they are so highly rated but this has been the worst most unprofessional experience ive had with dentists. They do seem like they're always busy and always recommending work to be done. Id find someone else.

We scheduled an appointment the next morning at Farrow Dental Care. Everyone at Farrow Dental care was professional, compassionate and concerned. Negative experience: PROCEED WITH CAUTION I moved to the area about a year ago. Around June I called the office to make an appointment for a cleaning. I provided them with all the details from my previous dentist & I completed the paperwork that they required shortly after making the appointment. The soonest I could be seen as a new patient was late December. Which I had no problem with. When I went in for the cleaning first they couldn’t find my paperwork. After waiting 15 mins after when my appointment was supposed to start a receptionist finally asked me if I had my paperwork. I told them I filled it out online months ago. Come to find out that their online system doesn’t save the paperwork for any longer than about a month so I had to fill it out again. Then I get taken back to a room & they proceed to get me ready for X-rays. I explained as I had when I made the appointment thatI had already had X-rays done earlier in the year by my previous dentist & I knew my insurance wouldn’t cover additional X-rays. At no point did anyone request me to provide the X-rays and I assumed that they would have gotten them from my previous dentist. When I asked why they didn’t use the X-rays from my previous dentist and they said they don’t have them & never called to request them. I got on the phone right then & my other dentist agreed to send them over immediately. Farrow Parkway ended up telling me that they were just going to move forward with the imaging that they needed & they would bill what they could to insurance & write off the rest so I agreed to the imaging. I am not joking at all when I say that they took around 20 different X-rays & then had me go to a different machine for a different X-ray. By this point I’ve been at the office for almost an hour. The hygienist tells me that they don’t know if they will have time to complete my cleaning & may have to reschedule me. By this point I’m irritated but still being cordial. I explain all of the imaging didn’t need to be done & had they just completed the cleaning that I requested then I could have already been done. They agreed to fit me into the schedule & do the cleaning then. Once they finish the cleaning they are waiting for the dentist to come in & go over the X-rays & examine my teeth. On practically ever my molar in my mouth and several other teeth they indicated I would need several crowns. No exaggeration it was at least 10-12 different teeth that needed crowns a few regular fillings & a root canal! This was a big shock!! I brush 2x a day & am pretty regular at flossing. I also didn’t have a single tooth that was hurting at all! They tried to sell me on Invisalign saying that if I straighten out my bite it may help with not getting cavities. I’ve never heard that claim before. As it was the end of the year & my benefits were almost going to be up I agreed to schedule to have 2 of the crowns done which miraculously they could somehow fit me in 2 days later. When I left the facility I immediately looked for a second opinion. I had farrow parkway send me my X-rays & can you believe they only sent me 3 of the 20 something X-rays that they took! Luckily I got a second opinion the next day and they indicated that there was only 1 tooth that would have to be a crown the rest would be regular fillings. I contacted Farrow Parkway Dental after my second opinion & I canceled my appointment with their office. I asked them to deactivate me as a client and asked them to send me ALL of the X-rays they took so I could provide them to my new dentist. To date I have not received any additional imaging from them. I can’t remember exactly how much I was going to be charged but it was somewhere around $1500 for 2 crowns vs the second opinion I got for all of my cavities and a crown the total would be around $1k. Had I continued to trust Farrow Parkway I would have been over treated & paid THOUSANDS more than I needed to. I guess they have to find some way to pay for all of their fancy imaging systems that use AI to tell them where the problem areas are on your teeth.

Negative experience: As a Aetna Vital Savings dentistry participant, they surprise charged $180 for just a cleaning. Ridiculous! Wasn't even all that well done either.
