Fantastic experience: The actual dental service is great. I do recommend 10/10. However, some staff misspeaks on what your insurance will cover before the insurance actually pays. This is the second time I’ve had a balance from the previous visit. Once you pay at that visit I assume there is not a balance left. If you all have to wait on insurance to pay maybe you should not charge the patient at the end of the visit if you are unsure how much insurance going to pay. I’m okay with paying w/e is owed however I’m not okay with attitudes. I too work in the healthcare field and our body language and tone of voice is very important. We have to be aware of our facial expressions, body language, head motion, and hand signaling. I deal with way more intense hostile situations were family members are mad at the world due too a love one trauma. As of now one of your staff members need customer service etiquette training. Thank you Julie for informing me that our insurance is no longer in network now this situation makes more sense!

Fantastic experience: I was treated by Park Place Dental today and I would like to share my experience. Two implants were fitted today and although that is a big deal, Dr. Shelton was so kind, professional and proficient. I had a great experience and would recommend his practice. Also, he is just a great person.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely can NOT praise and recommend Dr. Shawna enough! I had the most terrifying and traumatic experiences with various dentists during the pandemic that I thought I’d never be able to step foot in a dentist again. However Dr Shawna and the ladies at both Shiloh and Swansea went above and beyond to take care of not only me but my Fiance and mother as well. I unfortunately have had some emergencies come up and they get me in right away. Only once Dr. Shawna couldn’t see me so her awesome sister Dr. Roxanne stepped in and did such a great job! Positive experience: This office is professional but doesn't offer any type of payment plan. If you having any problems they will not help because they want to be paid upfront before they will do any service even if you have insurance. Buyer beware.

Fantastic experience: Very professional! I had to go in for a root canal due to a filling that was beginning to come undone, thanks for that aspen dental! Anyways when I came to park place I knew they were the nicest people ever! Dr. Shawna is the best! Very nice, comforting, and always is checking On her patients to make sure that they are comfortable. During my root canal she checked on me maybe about every 2 minutes! But in the future, if you’re ever needing dental work, DONT GO TO ASPEN DENTAL, GO TO PARK PLACE! Not only will aspen scam you, but they will do work on you that will fail eventually. Ask for Dr. Shawna! Tell her I sent you!

Negative experience: This has to be the worst dental group in regards to communication with patients. I called and spoke to two different people about taking our insurance, they both stated that they are in network with my insurance. After the clean was done, I went to pay my copayment.. turns out they don’t take my insurance and demanded that I pay in full for a cleaning. The only thing they had to say for themselves is well, “your insurance company will pay you back”… no that’s not at all how insurance company’s work. I still ended up paying for a cleaning for my child over 300$… this place is a scam! I would never recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I just had my first visit to The Parkplace Dental Group in Shiloh IL. Everyone, reception, my hygienist and my dentist were just wonderful. My wife had just visited their Swansea office and had the same experience. I would recommend them to anyone in need of dental care. Thank you, Dr. Shelton and staff.

Fantastic experience: Dr Roxanne and Tammy did very well. I couldn't open my mouth that but Tammy made sure I was always okay and didn't hurt me. Dr Roxanne explained everything very clear about the different options I had and which would be the best. This is the best dentist that I've been to in years, definitely recommend going here!

Fantastic experience: Best customer service from the phone call made to schedule, reception, dental assistant and dentist. This was my first appointment with the dentist who was truly knowledgeable about their craft personable, very transparent, and with an amazing patient centered care approach. I drove a whole hour from home to go to the dentist office that I was referred to. And it was worth every minute I drove.

Positive experience: A great place to go, check in was smooth bc I was able to do the forms online the night before, they where very busy.. so my only complaint was the wait time to go back, however once in the back, it didn’t seemed rushed at all, Dr Shawna took her time listening to my concerns and issues and was extremely nice and friendly and made sure I understood my options for care. I will be going back for future treatments.

I just had my second appointment and had a couple of fillings done. I've had a bad experience with a dentist in my teens that left a mark on me. Dr. Shawna is AMAZING!!! She talked all the while she was drilling and I was completely calm. Everyone at Park Place Dental Group are wonderful. Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience as a first time patient. All of the staff were very friendly and informative. No one was pushy or trying to upsell me on things like Invisalign, which I have experienced in other offices despite having had braces and no concerns with my teeth. The hygienist was very gentle, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching a cooking show during the visit to relax and distract myself from the cleaning. Overall great experience and would highly recommend!

Negative experience: My previous visit will probably be my last. I was told my visit would cost $0 when I came in and that my insurance would cover it. When I came in, I was told "we gave you a call about it" but there was nothing in my call history (which I showed), and I was forced to pay over $100 for a visit I was told would be covered. The reason I came in was because of a recent job loss, so it stung even worse having to use money out of my safety funds for this. Extremely disappointing as I've been coming here for years now and nothing was done to rectify the situation.

Fantastic experience: I have been to both Park Place Dental offices in Swansea IL and Shiloh IL. The quality of care is top notch every time at both places. I have had teeth cleaning, fillings, crowns replaced and extractions. The office decor at both places is so welcoming and inviting. The administrative staff are so professional and thorough. The dental team makes you feel so comfortable and aims to meet or exceed all of your dental needs. The one thing that gets my attention is that all staff works so well together at both places. To me, that speaks volumes about the quality of care and professionalism. I chipped a crown recently so this week it was necessary to get it repaired. They were able to take care of it immediately and it matched so well, I couldn’t even see any evidence of a change. Stellar job. Thank you Park Place Dental Team. Your awesome care improves my quality of life.

Fantastic experience: Very good as always. Squeezed me in for my emergency. There was nothing to worry about and my additional appointment was canceled which was not needed any more. There can be 1000 things to worry about before you go see a dentist. Most will be taken care of right then and there by tooth fairies (Dr. Dudovitzs).

She was extremely thorough and got about 8 years of tartar/plaque buildup off my teeth. Dr Shawna was so personable and gave great recommendations to help keep my teeth in great shape. Fantastic experience: In a time when people don’t want to work, don’t care to be courteous or care about keeping your business, is was so refreshing to walk into Park Place Dental. True to their name, they outdo themselves in the patient experience. Staff is friendly, registration is easy, the office is comfortable and beautiful. Fantastic experience: Needed emergency care, crown fell out. They got me in the same day even though I was not a regular patient. I am now! Everyone was kind and very pleasant. I will recommend this practice to my family.

Fantastic experience: Busted a filling, regular dentist could schedule an appointment so I called PPD on referral from a friend and got in the next morning. Staff was very friendly and the whole process was relatively quick and minimal pain/discomfort. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience as far as a trip to the dentist goes.

Fantastic experience: Update: May 2024. Painful tooth, my problem tooth, which gets aggravated when grinding teeth in my sleep. This time it would not calm down and I was greatful to get an appointment within 48 hours. As usual I can't complain as everybody was super nice, professional and supportive but the tooth had to be extracted. Since it was an easy extraction my copay was below quoted price and I had a very informative, relaxed discussion about my options in regards to my insurance coverage to replace that tooth. Staff know my insurance better than I do, which, let's face it can at times be daunting to deal with. Thank you to all at Park Place Dental. Highly recommend. Update: Another 6 month appointment, and still very happy. I'm always happy to return for check-ups, hygienist appointments and recently root canal work and caps. I have been known to walk around the patient chair in fear (as a child and teen!) it's imperative for me to overcome nerves with a new dental clinic. I can say that the front office, dental staff and dentists go out of their way to make a dental visit here as comfortable and painless as possible with professionalism, patience and sense of humor. Excellent work. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: I have been at this office for 5 years, service was great till it wasn't! Back in Aug 2023 I started having issues with a crown after a cleaning. I spent a ton of money on a new crown just to be in pain and misery. I went in over and over until finally they agreed to replace it. I tried my best not to call and complain that it was still hurting with the new crown. I had a temporary crown for 4 weeks and I felt great! It never hurt. I think one day the temporary crown caused some pain but that was it. This is now April 2024 and I am still in pain after having the new crown replaced. I called to have the crown looked at, I was placed on hold for 20 mins and no one ever came back on or called back to apologize. I called the next day and got an appointment. Then I got a phone call telling me that they feel I need a cleaning around the crown(without even looking at me)! Guess when they could get me in...June! I said I would call them back. Knowing that I had an appointment to have it evaluated(today) I figured I would see what the dentist had to say before I went down that rabbit hole. I got to thinking about how they wanted me to wait till June to have a cleaning. I was frustrated and called someone else. I called to cancel my appointment today and guess what....they cancelled it without my knowledge. So I would have spent my time going to the office just to get told they cancelled my appointment without even telling me. WHO does this! I really had planned to still go in hopes they would honor figuring out what the issue is with this crown and listen to what I have noticed. (I personally think I am having an allergic reaction to the glue, the gum hurts not the tooth) I am in pain and you do not even evaluate the situation and tell me to stay in pain till June. So now I am going to pay thousands because my insurance is exhausted. Oh well better than being treated this way!

Fantastic experience: My family and I have used Park Place Dental for 7 years now, and we actually look forward to our visits because we feel like family there. They listen. They remember. They know us by name. They care. Oh, and they’re amazing dentists, too! Thorough, yet gentle. Preventive vs. reactive. And they take the time and effort to give us their opinion and help coordinate additional care, such as orthodontics and oral surgeries. With Park Place, you actually have the best in the business in your corner with you as you navigate various dental care issues. I’ve lived in over 20 locations with the military, and this is by far the best dental care organization I’ve ever worked with. They get my absolute highest recommendation!

I am difficult to get numb, and Dr Widman went out of her way to figure out how to make it work and keep me comfortable. I had had some bad experiences with other dental offices and I hadn’t been to the dentist in a while… every single person that I worked with today, was absolutely fabulous. Everyone was so amazing and the fears that I had quickly left. Everyone was kind, patient, and they got the ball rolling really really quick to fix the problems that I have. I highly highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: All of the staff was very professional and Dr. Did a great job taking care of me. I didn't feel any pain and she kept asking was I ok, making sure that I was comfortable during the procedure. Then calling me at to check on me afterwards. A amazing place to have work done.

I came here for a second opinion on a tooth extraction and she was so kind and encouraging in her explanation, an experience I didn’t have with the previous dentist I encountered. Fantastic experience: “ I don’t go to therapy, I go to Park Place Dental Group!” -Me Park Place Dental ALWAYS has a holistic approach when caring for their clients. It honestly feels like a mini therapy session, plus my teeth get EXTRA love. Today I had my teeth cleaned by Lindsey ( go ahead and request her now!) She was thorough and thoughtful. I also had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Shawna. She was equally delightful and intelligent and informative as her twin sister Dr. Roxanne (who I normally see) I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Park Place Dental Group is the “Chik-Fil-a” of Dentistry and the whole team from when you walk in the door to when you leave are an ABSOLUTE DELIGHT! I always look forward to my visits.
