Fantastic experience: so I’ve been to the dentist at Just For Grins and had a horrible experience to where I never wanted to return to a Dentist ever again! So needless to say, I was really worried when going into my appointment at Comfort Dental on South Powers. They turned my whole experience around. It was absolutely seamless in this last appointment that I had, I had Kristy. When I was at Just For Grins, I was literally there all day doing one crown so when I had to go in to get three crowns done, I was extremely nervous! Kristy Made my experience, not only seem fast because I wasn’t there all day unlike the other, It made me super comfortable! They did all my crowns and she knew exactly what she was doing to make my time there seamless and like I said absolutely comfortable! Thank you Kristy For an absolutely amazing appointment! You are awesome!

Fantastic experience: I've been so afraid of going to the dentist. With my past traumas and my anxiety attacks I never thought I'd be able to get my teeth fixed and just feel good about smiling. My doctor was quick and precise. The amazing assistant there named Kristy always makes sure I'm safe and comfortable but not just with my physical but I can enjoy going to the dentist now without fear of anxiety attacks. I love this place. Thank you guys for making this long life negative effect go away with ease and joy. This is a place where my kids will go and I hope they feel as great as I do

Positive experience: I’m going to give our first experience 3 stars. Only because of the Dentist that my husband had. She was a older lady that dyes her forehead hairline black, first she is extremely rude to her employees, my husband had a newer assistant that was in training and we didn’t mind waiting for her to get the x-rays right because we knew she was training. But then the dentist older lady came around and was extremely rude to the new girl. and then she was putting a cement on my husband crown and she wasn’t paying attention and the crown slipped as she was trying to put it on and hurt my husband gum so badly and there was cement everywhere in his mouth. She wasn’t paying attention to what she was doing, she was to busy pointing out what the assistant was doing wrong. She didn’t even apologize and was extremely rude to my husband which is actually getting work done on his teeth and acted like we knew what “tooth number 15” was. Also she charged my husband $77 for his gum to be bleeding really bad. My dentist was amazing a guy on the blonder side mid 30’s maybe 40’s really nice and pleasant. I’d choose him over the older lady, the assistants are great, the front desk is great and the billers are great.

Fantastic experience: Got everything I needed to know answered in a timely manner, felt like we have a partnership in care not just fighting to be heard. Got hard numbers with my specific issues and insurance and well explained and answered my questions. Felt like a person who was valued not a cash cow with a bad mouth. This is the 3rd office I've been to in many years in different locations and all 3 have been this good. Felt like I was where I should be for dental care instantly. Nice new building too.

Fantastic experience: I have a huge fear of the dentist however my visit was amazing. The dentist and the technician even the receptionist were all very helpful and explained everything to help me relax.

Negative experience: The dental assistant that 'assisted' me has an extremely poor attitude and bedside manner. Was referred to another Comfort Dental location because they don't have anything for someone with a severe gag reflex IE; intraoral cameras or a panoramic x-ray machine. Ironic, given their name is 'Comfort Dental' and they claim to be extremely capable at providing a superior dental experience. Avoid.

Fantastic experience: I've been a loyal patient of Dr. Hale for several years now, and I truly wouldn’t go anywhere else. From the very first cavity he treated, I was amazed at how easy and painless the experience was—something I never thought I’d say about going to the dentist! At my most recent visit, I was especially impressed by the dental assistant, Donna. I had never worked with her before, but I genuinely hope I get her every time moving forward. This was by far the least painful cleaning and X-ray I’ve ever had. She was incredibly gentle and careful throughout. I noticed the X-ray equipment she used seemed smaller—the child-size ones—and it made a huge difference for my small mouth. Also, being in one of the quieter back rooms really helped make the whole appointment feel less stressful. Overall, it was one of the most comfortable and pleasant dental visits I’ve ever had. Thank you to both Dr. Hale and Donna for the excellent care!

Fantastic experience: I can honestly say, today was one of the best experiences at a dentist office that I have ever had. Great provider Dr. Johnson. But the person who made the experience the best was Kristy, she was the dental assistant. I felt some comfortable and calm because of her, she explained everything prior to it happening and had a light and bubbly personality that was contagious we laughed the entire time. The welcome walking through the front door was warm and I was greeted. So Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I came in about 6 months ago in lots of pain, I was able to walk in and be seen. I needed a dreaded root canal but it was all ok! Dr Budge and his assistant finished it quickly and as painless as possible with a ton of compassion. My daughters needed to be seen after some issues with their old dental practice , same thing they got them right in. We didn't get the same team but I am happy to say they are amazing for her not only Dr Campbell but his assistant (Alycia? Elicia? Alicia? We❤️u ). My daughter went from terrified to looking forward to her appts....even the ones with shots and drills. We love it here and absolutely recommend them! Also have to add that the girl who sits at the front is the sweetest and so helpful and the schedulers as well, always greeted with kindness and a smile. It's so rare to see and I'm thankful I found them.

Negative experience: Wasted my time and “manager” lady is definitely incompetent, just repeats herself and talks down on patients who want to exercise their insurance rights. They need to do better and not waste a whole day of people’s time when I called several times before they even scheduled me. If you weren’t sure why the heck did you even make an appointment for me makes no sense at all. Organize your office communications better lol!!

Positive experience: Everyone was polite and the appointment was completed in a timely manner. The reason I did not give 5 stars is because when I called to schedule the appointment, I asked for a cleaning and exam but I was not told the cleaning would not be scheduled since it was my first time. When I checked in, nobody verified what my appointment was for. The entire time I was expecting a cleaning until they told me the appointment was over after my initial exam. When I asked them about the cleaning I was told they did not schedule me enough time and that would have to happen on another day. I feel like, especially as a new patient, the process and expectations should be discussed more.

Fantastic experience: My experience at Comfort Dental was fantastic ! Melissa was my dental assistant and she took better care of me than anyone at previous dental offices ! She took great photos of my teeth , made me feel heard and seen the entire time and the cleaning process was even enjoyable ! She was so kind at made me feel right at home . The front desk was so kind , the doctor was calm and careful while doing every thing I felt was necessary , and even checking out and booking my appointment went so much faster than I expected . I would highly recommend Melissa to anyone looking for a cleaning as she’s very attentive and helpful . Definitely making Comfort Dental my permanent office from here on out !

I had all my teeth pulled by Dr.Budge and Dr. Johnsons one on each side of me usually that would have been a little intimating but I couldn't have been more comfortable and feeling no judgment from there these guys and all employees there are just amazing and that's not giving enough credit for these guys

Fantastic experience: I had a good experience. I hadn't been in a couple years and they made me feel comfortable.

Negative experience: Was in and out in under 30 minutes for a teeth cleaning (teeth fronts were polished and minimal scraping behind the 4 front bottom teeth). There was no hygene or dental health conversation or exam, and no hygenist, just a dental assistant and the dentist scraped behind my 4 bottom front teeth. I guess everything was okay, because I didn't have any sort of conversation with either person. I have severe dry mouth and a medical condition that causes mouth sores and had asked a question regarding it. This was the second cleaning appointment where I asked about it. The first time, I guess they forgot and just didn't call my RX in. This time, the dentist just got up and left the room while the assistant was rinsing my mouth, she took off my bib, and I asked if he was coming back to talk to me. she said no. I said he didn't answer my question about the Rx. She went to get him. He was clearly irritated that he had to com back and talk to me. I don't know that I will go back. I have been a patient there for almost 4 years. Initially the care was okay. Now, not so much. If you don't mind assembly line, fast food style dentistry, great; but in 4 years it has gone from getting the burger pictured on the menu to a plain hamburger with out the usual toppings.

Fantastic experience: Professionalism at it’s best at this facility from front desk to exam rooms staff honest,open,and transparent and facility exceptionally clean and comfortable and my experience was awesome

Negative experience: This has been one of the most frustrating dental experiences we’ve ever had. We originally went to Comfort Dental because they disagreed with a previous assessment from All Smiles regarding my daughter’s baby tooth that needed to be removed. After taking new X-rays, they told us exactly the same thing All Smiles said — that the baby tooth needs to be pulled. Instead of taking care of it, they referred us to Comfort Dental Braces, which made no sense for a tooth extraction. When we arrived at Comfort Dental Braces, the staff asked multiple times if we were there for braces. We explained we were referred next door for the tooth issue. Again, they repeated the same evaluation, took another X-ray (even though one had been done by Comfort Dental), and told us they’re a separate franchise — meaning everything has to be redone. Yet again, the dentist confirmed what the other two had already said: the baby tooth needs to be removed. At no point did we ever refuse treatment. We kept saying, just pull the tooth, and instead we’ve been bounced around like a pinball. We were then referred to Comfort Dental Oral Surgery — which, based on this pattern, will probably require another X-ray and another consultation before anything actually gets done. To top it off, the assistant told us the referral would be sent right away and we could call today to schedule, only for us to find out the office is closed on weekends. Now we’re stuck waiting another week just to make the appointment — all for a routine baby tooth extraction that could have been handled weeks ago. This runaround, duplication of services, and lack of clear coordination between what are supposed to be connected practices is completely unacceptable. We’re beyond frustrated.

Fantastic experience: Made the appointment within 3 days of calling. Filled the forms out online. Went to the appointment, was in the dental chair in 15 minutes. Resolved the problem. Fast and great service. Very friendly staff. I would recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: First time at this office. The staff and the dentist were great. In my experience, a lot of dental offices try to push unnecessary treatments on you and they also try and sell their electric toothbrushes and water picks to you. This office was nothing like that. They were genuinely interested in any concerns or questions that I had and took the time to talk to me. I am not a fan of going to the dentist, but I am looking forward to my next cleaning.

Fantastic experience: I had a filling that fell out and needed an emergency root canal. Dr Johnson had a new assistant which I loved how Dr. Johnson mentored them. Donna assisted Dr. Johnson with my tooth and she also came in and handled the new person with patients and respect. It’s totally amazing how Dr. Johnson and seasoned assistant Donna made me feel very comfortable and best tooth building I ever received. Above and beyond normal practices!

Negative experience: I returned to this office with my son after being away for a few years and was disappointed with the experience. When I scheduled the appointment for my son, I gave his updated insurance information over the phone. Upon arrival, I again offered the new insurance card and even checked the appropriate box on the sign-in sheet, but the front desk told me it wasn’t needed. After a quick set of X-rays and a very brief cleaning, we waited for the treatment plan to be prepared. When it was brought to me, I specifically asked whether both his primary and secondary insurances were included. I was told they were, but upon reviewing the plan, I saw that only one insurance was listed correctly. We were told we could leave and that an updated treatment plan would be emailed to us so we didn’t have to wait. In addition, we were given a referral to an oral surgeon who, unfortunately, does not accept either of my son's insurances. I called the office later that day for clarification and was told a voicemail had been left for me, though I only had a missed call with no message. Overall, the lack of communication was frustrating and inconvenient.

Negative experience: Middle eastern man doesn't seem very capable, knowledgeable, and bumps into everything like he's drunk. He recommended a root canal with no active infection on the xray. He also constantly confuses his right and left molar, and kept pushing for a root canal AFTER a crown was put in, instead of before. Some people make this place a joke, and uses patient ignorance of standard practices to push unnecessary procedures. I'm glad i got a second opinion from someone else. Im filing a report for Medicaid fraud.

Negative experience: I have had the worst experience of my life. I went in to see Dr. Hale. It seems like every visit takes about three hours and you only see the doctor about 10 minutes. I went In to established Care and take care of anything that I needed to take care of. Dr. Hale worked on my teeth And was in pain for about three weeks I went in multiple times to find out what was going on Dr. Hale doesn't seem to Know or even care . He came off very Uncertain. Dr. Hale does not seem to give eye contact nor does he acknowledge that you exist He is Very short and seems to be in a rush he rushes everything when completing a root canal at one time he left my tooth exposed for about 30 minutes. I regret coming to the dental office the moment I walked in I had a bad gut feeling I wish I had walked out . I would never recommend this place

Negative experience: I had an appointment with comfort dental - south powers location, and was very much so feeling like my appt was a waste of my time. I called to ask if I came in 2 hrs early if perhaps I could get a few of my teeth pulled out. I was told that could probably happen. I waited for 2 hrs and never had my sore teeth pulled. The dentist was very much so unprofessional with me. He never introduced himself to me and hid behind the chair I was sitting in. He looked at my teeth for about 30 seconds and then walked out of the room. He never spoke one word to me. I also found out that I would have to go to an oral surgeon and was told they are in house, meaning they are part of comfort dental. That was a lie because I called and spoke to the surgeon and they said they are not part of comfort dental and that they will charge me separately. I also asked for a different dentist and was told very rudely that it would be up to the dentist who saw me. It says a lot about the integrity of this company when it isn't transparent in the services it offers and also the lies and confusion are very unprofessional.

I saw Dr.Weir and he was thoughtful and efficient as always. Jocelyn was my dental assistant and she did a great job at making me feel relaxed with small talk and making sure I was comfortable. She made the visit go by very fast and full of laughter.

Negative experience: Do not recommend, find any other place to get your teeth done they rush through things, don't care about the patients in their chair, an wouldn't send medicine needed until the both their office an the pharmacy closed for the day.

Positive experience: Went for a check on a procedure. Showed up 10 minutes early, waited an extra 25 minutes. Not completely unusual. Then get done and say I’d like a standard cleaning before I go on vacation in a couple weeks. Doc is like, we can do it now or just schedule. I say, well I have commitments right after, can I do it next week, he says not a problem. Go to schedule, girl at the counter says it will be a month out at least. I try to explain the conversation I just had 3 minutes ago, but apparently they have different scheduling. Doc was great. System needs work

Although there are many times that I get called back for my appointment late, the staff is friendly and the dental hygienists are thorough. I have been coming to this team for my dental needs every 6 months for about 10 years and I would not consider going anywhere else.

I was promptly seen and taken care of by Kristy, who with 27+ years of experience, I knew I was in great hands. She was engaging, talkative, thorough and kept me informed throughout the cleaning/ exam. Dr. Johnson, is great as usual, professional and also thorough. The checkout staff was also friendly, knowledgeable and took the time to explain. This is not a dentist office that is going to try to nickel and dime you, nor do they make unnecessary recommendations or try to (up)sell you every little thing. They're focused on the task at hand, not some potential/future sale. I have so much respect for that, I cannot say enough for the peace of mind that comes from knowing you're coming in for a cleaning and it being a cleaning/exam without additional worry, stress or pressure for things that aren't necessary. My son was recently seen here as well, (Dr. Hale who also saw my other son, and is also exceptional) they just did his exam at his first visit as he has some following up to do. So I know each visit will be different and to me that's a good thing, it says each individual is approached with a plan that works for them. As it should be. I highly recommend this office! They are focused on the true dentistry of the patient, with care and it shows. Straightforward. I now look forward to my next visit in 6 months. Thank you for the great cleaning and peace of mind, not just now but going forward.

Negative experience: The team seemed very professional. As we were leaving from our daughter’s root canal appt, i noticed a hole in her temp crown. Not a small hole like you could see all the way through to the tooth underneath. I addressed with the staff and they said it was normal to look like that. Keep in mind it was near closing time. After we got home we confirmed our suspicions that there was a hole in the crown. Now I have to take her back for them to fix it when if they took the time to look at it while we were there it could have been corrected on the spot. A little traumatic for a 13yr old girl to go through.

Fantastic experience: Great practice. I switched to this practice after a less than impressive experience at another place. I came in for a routine cleaning, but they found cavities and made time to fit me into their schedule right away. Staff was all polite, work was done competently, and everything was efficient. Probably the best dentist office I have ever been to.

Fantastic experience: Very accommodating. Very polite. I hadn't eatn, they provided little muffins. I was in a lot of pain. They took very good care of me. I didn't feel judged or ignored. All the staff seemed to enjoy helping everyone. Everything was clean. The entire place was really next level. I recommend this place for anyone in need of dental work. I will be going back as a regular.

Fantastic experience: Everyone there is so kind! Donna was a joy to talk to and knowledgeable! Dr Weir was kind as well and made clear what was happening at the time. The root Canal they did was awesome. Definitely gonna make this place my go too!

Negative experience: The front desk staff are very friendly and compassionate. Dr. Hale is not so much, he is more of a let's get it done demeanor. It seems like if you have questions for him he's to busy to listen and passes you off to the dental assistant. The dental assistants are very kind and do their best for sure. I wasnt given proper after care instructions and just sent home. Not the most professional dental office that's for sure.
