The first time I went to Havasu Dental I called with pain on a Friday afternoon expecting an appointment the following week, especially since I wasn’t an established patient and was told to come right in and I’d be seen in between patients. I was told by both the office staff and the dentist that they wouldn’t have wanted me to go through the weekend in pain. The entire staff that I dealt with were very professional and friendly. My insurance was not straight forward but the girls at the front desk took care of everything, even had to call the company. They were so nice and didn’t seem put out or irritated with having to do that. I can’t say enough about this office and would highly recommend them! Update: Went in today for a routine cleaning and exam. Had another great experience. Everyone is friendly and professional. Update: I had to have a tooth extraction with an implant. I’ve already done the extraction. I’m extremely anxious with dental procedures and they prescribed meds to relax me for the tooth extraction. It was great! So easy and the procedure was over in a flash. Today I had the implant put in. I was told it’s not as bad as the extraction and chose to just have a local anesthetic. It was a piece of cake. They were right. I was out in less than an hour. The staff again was great! Friendly office!!!

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Havasu Dental Center. Entering their business, I was greeted by a welcoming and friendly atmosphere and front office personnel. Trysten was my Dental Hygienist. She was professional, personable, had a great sense of humor, and very understanding and attentive to my medical condition with cancer and hearing loss. Dr. Galante was my Dentist, assured me he would take care of my dental needs with care and precision. The Doctor did not disappoint! He and Trysten worked together as an excellent team with expertise. They left no question unanswered, no concern unexplained. I have lived in LHC for 50 years and it can be difficult to find new medical care professionals. Yet I was treated and served with respect and honor by the Havasu Dental Center Team from the get-go! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I had a tooth ache that needed to be taken care immediately. Of course it started on Saturday afternoon/evening. So I decided to wait until Monday morning to contact the office. They were able to get me in that morning. I was able to get a temporary fix and had a plan made for me to permanently repair the issue.

Negative experience: Never had my teeth cleaned. Your employees were running behind. Never did they tell me they were running late. Poor customer service. I was on a schedule and I couldn’t stay any longer. I waited 3 months for this appointment . Thanks for nothing.

Fantastic experience: I broke half of a tooth off Tuesday around 430p. I started calling dental offices and either no answer or they couldn’t get me in the next day. I had to at least have something temporary since I was leaving Lake Havasu Thursday at 7a for a 12 day road trip out east. After 8 or so dental offices, I called Havasu Dental Center at 4:50p and they said to come in tomorrow at 9a. I expected to get something temporary and then would have to find a dentist when I got to Kentucky. Dr Shamos, Tristan and Brenda got what was left of my tooth ready for a crown, put something temporary on and told me to come back at 3 and my crown would be ready for me. I walked out of there with no further dental appointments needed. I want to thank them and the woman at the front counter who got me in the next day (didn’t get her name). Everyone I ran into here was really caring and nice. I am so thankful to all of them for getting my tooth fixed in one day! Highly recommend this place and would come here again in a heartbeat.

Fantastic experience: New to Havasu and facing some extensive dental work. Driving to and from Los Angeles for three or four months didn’t sound that Inviting. So I purposed to check out the dentist roster within my own backyard. I. Started my quest with a referral from a friend who has been a resident for a number of years. I wasn’t disappointed. I’ve only had two visits, but my confidence level is high. Now,, does anyone? know a good neurosurgeon?

Fantastic experience: Update 2/27/25 I feel I need to keep praising and updating my review to say how excellent Dr. Shamos and Hygienist Katie are. I had a full regular check up today(2/27/25) but also had some sensitivity on a previous placed crown; it took Dr. Shamos a few minutes to correct it. Katie is always great and extremely coordinated in making sure her work is painless and complete. Another update: I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Galante and Brenda at Havasu Dental Center today(11.27.24). Dr Galante, like Dr. Shamos, was very skilled and personable. Brenda was fantastic as well and answered all my questions. I needed a new crown and my stubborn current crown took a while to remove but really no pain and it all went pretty smooth. I'll be back next week to get my permanent crown on,. Between Katie as my excellent Hygienist, Dr. Galante, Dr. Shamos and Brenda, my teeth are in good hands! I totally recommend Havasu Dental as one of the better professional places in Havasu. Update. For my 9/23/24 visit. As always Katie is fantastic! Best dental office around! New update for my visit on 2/8/24. My 5 star review per last time still stands. Lacee was fantastic. Her professionalism and precision was more than excellent. I used to dread going to a dental office and now I kind of look forward to it(sounds weird but true lol). As always Dr Shamos is a gentleman and runs a great office. Just an updated 5 star review. Katie is the best. The office and everyone are very nice and professional. The office is clean and very modern. Because Katie is there and the thorough job she does, I will keep going back there and I work around Katie's schedule to be sure I get her for my routine cleanings etc. Great dental office as well as Dr. Shamos being excellent at what he does.

Fantastic experience: THE STAFF AND DENTIST WERE ALL VERY NICE AND CARING. AND THEY HAVE FLAT SCREEN TVs ON THE CEILING OVER THE CHAIRS

Negative experience: I’m visiting my daughter from out of state. I will be here for a month. The night before I flew out (02/09/25), I had a crown fall off. I contacted Havasu Dental, and fortunately, they contacted my insurance company, and scheduled an appointment for me today, February 12, 2025, for 3:30. I purposely requested the latest appointment they could give me, as the reason I am here for a month is to babysit my infant grandchild, as my daughter was coming off her maternity leave. After filling out the requisite paperwork, I waited to be called. There were several people waiting. As I was waiting, another individual walked up to the front desk, and notified them that they were leaving, as apparently they had waited for a long period of time. I overheard this person tell the front desk that they were returning back home to another state in a month, and would have their needs taken care of then. Another individual came in approximately 25 minutes after I arrived. Apparently, they were a current patient. They called this person to come back to an exam room, and I overheard them ask if they wanted his tooth? I actually started to doze off (I’m a senior citizen, and watching an infant all day is exhausting), and then checked the time on my phone. It was 4:30. At that point, I approached the front desk and notified them that I was leaving. They then told me that they take patients that turn in their paperwork first. Well, I turned in my paperwork before the person that came in 25 minutes after I did. Now, I am usually very patient and understanding. I retired from a lifelong career in public service. But waiting an hour, with no idea of when I would be called back, was enough. Why schedule me for a 3:30 appointment? I can totally understand waiting 15-20 minutes, but an hour, and there was still one more patient in the lobby? They close at 5. All I needed was a crown to be cemented back on; even with the required x-ray, it wouldn’t have taken longer than 15 minutes. All I can say that if you have a dental emergency, and are not a recurring patient, I definitely can’t recommend Havasu Dental. I never leave reviews; this is a first for me, and I’m 61 years old.

Fantastic experience: Dr. G is great. I have pretty bad anxiety and they were very kind, accommodating, and sympathetic. They talked me through everything they were doing it. They didn't push any unnecessary procedures. I highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Shamos has always been great. My first experience was an emergency visit on a weekend when he took care of a major toothache for me. He since has put on crowns and installed implants for me that are working beautifully. He does great work and he is a great guy.

Fantastic experience: I’m not fond of going to the dentist. Made an appointment last Tuesday for today. Showed up and the office staff was very nice. Amanda called me back took a few X-rays and soon Dr Shamos came in. He was very nice which made me very relaxed. Within a hour my tooth was filled with no pain, and I was walking to my car. I will be back for any dental needs.

Fantastic experience: This past few days I’ve turned down or delayed social events on Friday because I was scheduled for two crowns with Dr Ian Shamos at Havasu Dental Center. To a person, their response was “oh, no!” My friends have obviously never been to Havasu Dental Center. Dr. Shamos and his staff are professional and friendly. From the moment you walk into the office you are treated as an individual. Each person I met introduced themselves and let me know what their interaction with me would be. The whole process went smoothly and they finished prior to the suggested time given to my husband to come for me. I’ve been home several hours now and other than some localized tenderness I’m feeling fine. Thanks from a scary cat big baby when it comes to a dentist visit.
