Negative experience: I just received a call from this place because I inquired about implants. Being this is a vulnerable and sensitive subject for many of us I would have thought the conversation would be very different being my experience with other doctors have been kind and non-judgmental. Not here! Ceaser called me and asked about my history of inquiring about implants I told him about where I went that I trusted those people and how the cost was $20000 for clear choice. Then he says it seems cost isn’t an issue I said no it is he says well why did you tell me all that then QUESTION MARK!!! Cause you asked I said, he then proceeds to tell me implants are around $3500 to $6000 and can be as little as $43 per month per tooth sounds great! I ask what financing company do you use? He says why do you ask that why is that important!!! I said because I want to know??!!!! Then he starts laughing at me!!! OMG THIS MAN IS WICKED!! He then says I’m sorry it’s just funny that it seems you’re asking questions and don’t know why you’re asking them!!! I paused I was offended, shocked, confused and felt belittled. What do you mean I’m asking questions and don’t know why I’m asking them. If that isn’t THE MOST DUMBEST INSENSITIVE COMMENT I’ve heard in my LIFE. Now I am a therapist and nurse and in school for my PhD in counseling so I’m not slow nor stupid. You ask questions cause you want an answer am I right? That’s why I’m asking because I want to know. If the financing company is one I’ve tried before and had issues with then why bother applying if I know I’ve had issues. But honestly all that doesn’t even matter. I asked because I wanted to know. Period. I then say well there are no dumb questions and I asked because I want to know…click he hung up!! I am almost in tears. I already feel ashamed and embarrassed about my situation to begin with. I am not in a good place right now with me having to move back to Chicago in a couple of weeks, so his treatment of me on top of everything going on in my life pushed me to the edge!! How can you as a Dr. be okay with your employees treating potential patients like this! Now I think I’m being scammed. This is so outrageous and hurtful and demeaning! I have NEVER IN MY LIFE been treated so poorly than I have in this racist hell of a state. Main reason why I’m getting the hell outta here! I called back and Miguel answered. I told him of the poor treatment got my questions answered but then I’m told there’s no way I can contact the owner (their boss) to complain. No email no phone number. THE OWNER WHO IM potentially giving my money to cannot be reached except my US mail. That’s ridiculous. Who are these people and why are they calling vulnerable people just to treat them like crap and then hang up on them. Miguel says he’ll take note of my concerns and listen to the recording but they have already proven that there is no concern for new patients. I’m guessing because of my “black Chicago accent” I’m not worthy. DISGUSTING!

They explain everything clearly and never make you feel rushed or confused. I’ve had cleanings, fillings, and soon will get my wisdom teeth procedure, every appointment is smooth. They were both so kind and compassionate and obviously incredibly skilled at what they do. They are both quite funny too. Positive experience: Everyone was so friendly from the time I arrived until I walked out the door. I was very surprised when they asked for full payment of a root canal and crown, before even making the appointment to have the procedure done.

Positive experience: Nancy was very personable. As a new client she explained every procedure to me, and how the information that was gathered would affect my cleaning and exam. I am new to the state, and I was in the middle of major dental procedures with my old denist. Nancy took extra time, and was through with the cleaning. She assisted the denist with much needed dental history in order for him to complete the exam in a timely manner. I am happy to have met such a kind, and knowledgeable hygienist. Fantastic experience: My first visit at Matheson Dentistry was for a filling that had popped out from a previous dentist and required a crown to fix. I was nervous going in because I had never had a crown before and the office was new to me. Dr. Matt and hygienist Mckenley made the process so quick and easy and honestly kind of fun. They were so kind and compassionate and obviously incredibly skilled at what they do. Immediately after my crown I had my first cleaning with them and I got Laura as my hygienist and I LOVE HER. She is hands down the kindest, most wonderfully personable and empathetic person I have met in a dental office. She is incredibly understanding and gentle with her work and she made me laugh and smile the entire time. Dr. Matt came back in for my exam and again made me feel so comfortable and seen. I am so happy that I found this office and this staff. I am very happy to be a patient now. Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: Words cannot express how AMAZING this dental office is! I was so nervous going to the dentist because of my hg while pregnant with my first. I needed cavities but my concerns were met with such patience and kindness leaving me feeling not guilty about my oral health. These people really care about getting you healthy and happy! I had cleanings done by Nancy and Emily and they were both so gentle and thorough. I had fillings done by Dr. Caldwell and her assistant Aimee and was comfortable the whole time and didn’t hurt after. Will definitely be sending all my friends and family here!!!

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr Matheson's for seven years and happily have watched his practice grow. As a former chairside assistant, I can be critical of what I consider areas of vital importance in a practice: sterilization of instruments, staff efficency, caring chairside manners of doctors/hygienists/assistants, operatory cleanliness and good communication regarding treatment plans and post-op care. Dr Matheson is one of, if not the best dentist I have had experience with through the years. He is exceptional. I highly recommend him to be a part of your health care.

Fantastic experience: I have absolutely nothing bad to say…all of the staff I have encountered have been absolutely wonderful. Today was no exception. Dr Egelske replaced my temporary crown on an implant and it looks way better than the original! The single tooth implant procedure itself using their robot was a painless process. All of the staff are very pleasant to work with and the doctors are very skilled. Highly recommend them to anyone needing dental care or implants.

Fantastic experience: Love this Dentist office!! I was there early one morning when they were having a Team meeting. Hearing the meeting made me want to work there, and I love my job and have been there for 20 years; but I seriously thought, I could work here! Every interaction has been positive. They let you go at your own pace with no pressure. It had been 22 years since I had been to the dentist and there was no judgement. They simply asked what my goal was. Fantastic experience: I recently moved back to Queen Creek and needed to find a new dentist. Dr Matheson and his staff are INCREDIBLE! I am beyond pleased with how friendly, kind, and knowledgeable their staff is. I unfortunately had to have pretty extensive work done and Dr Matheson was very honest and answered all of my questions. I love that he truly helped me make an educated decision on my care plan. My hygienist was the sweetest and made me feel so comfortable. I’m so glad my husband and I found their office!

Fantastic experience: It’s always fun to have all the dentists who helped with first set of dentures be retired and you have worn them out. Of to seaching trying to find the right person. Finally decided to get an appointment with Dr. Matheson and it turned out very well. Very up front explaining that I had dentures that he could make again he showed me other options that made mine look like something from the 1900s. He also showed me my eventual choice that was a step forward but not requiring surgery. Extremely impressed and looking forward to getting upgraded.

Fantastic experience: Honest review. I actually wanted to stop going here because I live in downtown Phoenix and the only reason I came here was because it was close to my parents house and at least I could see them. There was even a point in 2024 where I told them to stop calling me because I had moved and they called me more than an obsessive Ex! Jokes aside; their call game should be studied by sales organizations. Anyways, I decided to give them another chance and got another cleaning in November and had ordered a retainer, but due to financial situation I had only ordered a bottom retainer with plans to order a top one later on. I unexpectedly got a bill and was so distraught because I thought insurance would cover it but luckily it was a billing error and they provided the full retainer set for me! I literally cried tears of joy in the dental chair (embarasssinggg) but because of this kind gesture and treating me respectfully, I have decided to stick with Matheson and make the 45 min drive for future appointments! The ladies are so kind here (she even gave me a hug because this 30 year old sad girl was having a rough week). How they treated me was so refreshing! But Matheson team, I’m not kidding about the calling… At least space it out, im an introvert and don’t like answering the phone . Thank you! see ya soon!

Fantastic experience: Super welcoming and friendly environment every time I go in. Its hard to find an honest dentist office that isn't out for money. I've been a victim of a dentist office that pretty much said I had several cavities every 6 months for 3yrs before we moved and they were highly rated, after moving couple times in past 5yrs I haven't had more then 1 cavity! Rest assured this place is honest and not forcing crowns for healthy teeth! Thank you for all the team that come in with positive attitude and big smile to make their clients feel appreciated and welcomed and safe, it shows!

The professionals at Matheson dentistry were able to schedule me for a doctors appointment within hours the same day that I called. I was greeted by courteous, polite and professional staff at the door, completed required paperwork and was seen within minutes of my arrival by Dr. Brett Egelske, who then conducted a complete and thorough examination, utilizing modern new equipment, that had just been cleaned by staff before entering the dental exam room. Dr. Egelske was courteous, professional and explained everything about my health and scheduled me for a root canal. Dr. Matt Migdat performed the root canal, I never had any such dental procedure before, Dr. Matt and dental hygienist Ms. Monica explained everything, made sure that I was comfortable and based upon Dr. Matt’s expert skills as an experience practitioner, I did not experience any pain whatsoever and have made a health filled pain-free recovery. There was continuous communication from all to ensure my comfort and health. The professionals at Matheson dentistry provide superior customer, patient care and service and we absolutely trust them.

Fantastic experience: I was nervous to get a filling after the last dentist (different practice) hit an artery causing a hematoma and subsequent severe infection. I communicated this and the team here was just so amazing at talking through steps to prevent this from happening again, making me feel comfortable and keeping a close eye on the whole process. I had a bad experience at a different place and had taken me three years to return to a dentist. They worked me in for a same day appointment because I cracked a tooth (thanks). Fantastic experience: My wife and I have been going to Matheson Dentistry since we moved to QC in 2021. They are fantastic. The doctors take their time, listen to our concerns, and never make us feel like a number. And they never push us into unnecessary procedures - except flossing. The employees all seem happy working there, which says a lot about how the business is run; professionally and with care. The hygienists are excellent - especially Mindy, though my wife would argue her hygienist is just as good. But all of them are great and do everything they can to make the semi-annual torture sessions (aka cleanings) as painless as possible. We love them all!

Negative experience: This place just wants your money. The most they can get. They dont disclose pricing up front. Just pick a different place. Trust me I am saving you the head ache. They are money hungry. With an over the top sales pitch as well. You can go to many other places that have better deals. Just try to get the pricing up front. That is what I would recommend. They are shady. They tell me after the fact months later my insurance did not go through. Sent me a bill in the mail. That is how I found out. It is a shady practice to do that. They could have told me the prices at any time and I would have said no. They could have told me at any time that my insurance was not going through and I would of said a big fat no thank you. BE CAREFUL. This unlawful Business should not be able to get away with this. I wonder how many other victims they do this to. Just to make an extra dollar. SMH. If I could take this to court or file something against this practice or make awareness that this goes on. That is what I will do. Mojarity is against this. They took advantage of me. They know what they did or didnt do. They never once told me the price and never once told me that there was an issue with my insurance. Then I get a bill in the mail. They just went along with it. Thats shady. If they would have told me the price. I would have declined. Mr Hart it will be $384. I would say no. That is why they never did. Simple as that. You should always be told how much a service is going to be upfront. They told me $50 dollars that day. I was happy to pay it. They even said that $50 might go to future dental work as well. They never idicated I could be charged a large sum several months later. Yet they charged me over $300. That is shady as they come. Right before the end of the year they send me the bill. I am just one person what can I even do? I am going to try something. File a police report. Just so there is a record just in case it happens to someone else. There should be an outside investigation to determine if there is illegal practices being taught at Matheson dentistry. While I was there. I gave them an extra $200 for a deposit on future dental work. At least that is what I thought. That is what they specifically told me the money would be used for. They did a bait and switch. They used it for a random bill that they created without my knowledge. After I decided not to use them for future dental work. That is crazy. For a dentist office to go through so much trouble to take my money. They took my deposit for future dental work and used it for this bill I never knew about or agreed to pay. If I knew it was going to be over $300 for them doing nothing in my opinion. Again I would have declined. How is it okay for a business to get away with that? That is considered stealing. It should be a theft charge and those people should be held accountable. Some people get away with anything because of their status. The system can be corrupt. Just be honest. Then I could have declined the service. Dont try and trick me. It is a Deceptive practice thats what it is. If I was broke and if I really needed that $200 and I trusted this company to hold on to it for future dental work. Only for them to keep it for more profits for themselves. Its just a shame how greedy and unproffesional businesses are these days. Their saying I owe them money now. Out of the blue. I did not find that out for 3 months after the fact. Thats insanely deceptive. Just be upfront then you get good reviews. They should all be ashamed and hopefully they learn from this and they change or put procedures in place to ensure this doesnt happen to anyone else ever again. There super bubly when you walk in to distract you so they can lie and take your money. You have been warned. if it happened to me it can happen to anyone. If its to good to be true it usually is. Dont do dental work on someone without telling them the honest full price upfront.

Fantastic experience: This is the best dental office in town. Last year, I had my wisdom teeth removed and had the best experience then and with healing! Today, I was not only educated but cared for to reduce pain. Emily was excellent.

Fantastic experience: Found out that they no longer take my insurance and they can now balance bill me. Every single person who works at this office is awesome. Dr. Brett listened to my concerns and spent time answering my questions. Laura is a fantastic hygienist! My teeth always feel awesome after my visits with her. I feel like I have friends in this office! Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience at Matheson Dentistry. Kelly, as well as the entire office staff, is incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I enter the office. Mindy, my hygienist, was gentle & very thorough - and Dr. Matt is simply awesome, personable and explained everything clearly (I have grinding issues!). The office was clean and modern, and I felt comfortable throughout my entire visit. I highly recommend this dental practice, so much that I referred my whole family!

Fantastic experience: I usually don't write reviews but I'm so impressed and happy with the care I have received from Matheson Dentistry. They really are the best! I went there to get a second opinion and I'm so glad I did! They were able to find a couple things the other dentist missed. If they hadn't, I would have needed to get a couple of root canals. Everyone the front office staff to the dental assistants and the hygienist are so kind and make you feel like family. I have been seen by Dr. Matheson, Dr. Brett, and Dr. Matt and they are all amazing! They really care about you and your health and it's comforting to know that I'm getting the best care. My son had been going to the same pediatric dentist for 15 years, but I'm switching to Dr. Matheson and his team. Here's why: My son had been complaining of pain in the back and roof of his mouth for a few days. I tried to reach out to his dentist, but they were closed on Friday and I couldn't get a hold of them. I even called the emergency number, but I was sent to voicemail and never got a call back. That same day, I had an appointment with Dr. Brett to get my permanent crown put on. I mentioned to him what was going on with my son, and even though they were about to close, he told me to go pick him up and he'd take a look at him to make sure there wasn't an infection. Turns out, his wisdom teeth were coming in. Dr. Matheson had a fully booked day the following Monday, but he still managed to squeeze my son in at the end of the day to have them removed. I couldn't believe they stayed after hours to fit him into their schedule. I'm so grateful to Matheson Dentistry for taking such good care of my son. I'll be forever grateful to them.

Fantastic experience: I took my seven-year-old grandson to Dr. Matheson for four fillings. My grandson wanted to give Dr. Matheson a five star rating and said he loved it because he got to pick two toys out of the toy box, and “the people are so nice!”

Fantastic experience: I broke a crown in my sleep and needed repair asap. While no immediate openings, office staff worked to see me as an emergency. Dr. Egelske (Brett) took time out of his schedule to make repair and to build my new crown. Brett is an exceptional dentist and will request him for all future repair as necessary. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been patients for a few years and we have been very happy with everyone there. The front office staff is always smiling and makes you feel comfortable. The Hygienists talk to you during your exam and cleaning and make you feel like you have known them for years. The Dentists are top notch and ease you into your procedure. I highly recommend you look to Dr. Matheson and his excellent team for all of your dental needs.

Fantastic experience: Everyone behind the counter was super nice an it was a very relaxed atmosphere, was there twice for cleanings with Nancy an i just can't say enough nice things about her. Very professional she knew her job an does it very well, personality/ sense of humor 10/10 it felt like it was a very personalized visit, an now i actually look forward to my cleanings.
