Fantastic experience: The team at Bellingham Dental Group is incredible. I have been terrified of going to the dentist for many years. Well Dr. Hall and assistant Amy made me feel very comfortable along with their light and silly conversation. Can’t recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: I went in for a long-due dentist appointment and was immediately taken care of by Sophie at the reception desk. She answered any questions I had and made me feel comfortable before my visit. Both the Dental assistant and the Dentist did a fantastic job working on my teeth, and I will be returning for any other dental needs.

Negative experience: I had several years of good treatment here, then things changed about 1 1/2 years ago. BDG insisted on an invasive treatment and gave me no options. I got a second opinion which contradicted their diagnosis. I have suffered no consequences from ignoring their advice. I did not feel fairly treated by BDG. My attitude toward them is patient beware.

Fantastic experience: It took me a year after moving to Bellingham to find a dentist, so I was a little behind in my dental care. BDG has impressed me greatly with their level of professionalism as well as their efficiency. Their work has been superb and I’m glad I chose them.

Fantastic experience: I love the interface with these folks. Check in is simple, always in time. Amber the dental hygienist was professional, talked me through each step, answered all my questions well. Dr Hong is excellent, very efficient, gives a good air of confidence and made me feel I was getting the best care. Good recommendations of next steps and did not feel as if I was being upsold. Great team of professionals. And they are right in town. ✅

Fantastic experience: I normally dread the dentist….. like full-blown anxiety, avoid-it-at-all-costs type dread , but today completely changed that. I had the BEST experience at Bellingham Dental Group thanks to Dr. Hall and my amazing assistant Kristina. They were patient, kind, and made me feel comfortable every step of the way. For the first time in my life, I was actually able to get work done without having a meltdown , which is huge for me. Also, a huge shoutout to Kelsey for working her scheduling magic and getting me in when I needed it most. I was frantically calling, and she made it happen. I can’t express how thankful I am for this team. Truly a 10/10 experience!!!!

Fantastic experience: I had a dental emergency and I visited the clinic to be seen by a Dr. Haley on 7/14/2025. I appreciate front desk people making the appointment quickly and easy. Tehya who is a Dental Assistant is very professional and explained to me the treatment I would receive. Dr. Haley also explained procedures to me, so I felt well prepared for treatments they provided. I felt like the team communicated well and everyone was on the same page. I really appreciate Tehya and Dr. Haley for working together to provide care. I definitely recommend Bellingham dental group especially the Dental Assistant Tehya and Dr. Haley. Negative experience: I’ve never written a Google review before, but I felt compelled to do so after receiving a second opinion—and then a third and fourth. I was given a treatment plan at this office that included extensive periodontal cleaning and two root canals. It didn’t sit right with me, so I consulted with an endodontist, an oral surgeon, and another general dentist. All three said the same thing: they couldn’t understand the treatment plan and saw no medical basis for it. If I hadn’t had the benefit of family members in the dental field, I could have easily been out over $8,000 for procedures I didn’t need. Dr. Patel and the support staff were kind and professional, which makes this all the more disappointing. But recommending expensive, unnecessary treatment is unacceptable, and patients deserve better.

Fantastic experience: When I greeted the intake person with my name for my appointment, she told me that my insurance amount had a credit which was great news. Then, I got a $5 card to Cool Beans because I had to wait. I was okay with the appointment being late but that was kind of them. My dental hygienist did a thorough job of cleaning my teeth and gave me some pointers to do a better job of flossing. She had some great music which was relaxing and after a fluoride application. I was done. A very impressive appointment.

Fantastic experience: Getting bad news at the dentist is never fun, but Amy and Dr. Haley made sure I fully understood my diagnosis and all treatment options. They even went as far as to offer and complete same day treatment, which was so helpful because coming to the dentist can be hard due to my busy work schedule. Amy was attentive and clearly very knowledgeable, and I didn't feel a thing when Dr. Haley numbed me! As far as getting a crown goes, this was a 10/10 experience with a very competent and compassionate team. Thank you so much!

Positive experience: This place was amazing and took great care of me. BUT they deserve a 3 star for getting me involved with care credit. Care Credit is absolutely corrupt, they were sued last year 2024 for fraudulent activity on users accounts. I paid them off in full, they waited 2 months, applied interest to my account, never sent me an email or anything letting me know i had a bill then Damaged my credit by over 100 points for (missed payments)! NEVER EVER EVER EVER USE CARECREDIT!!!!

Positive experience: Hygienists are friendly and the office is nice and clean but you rarely have the same doctor each time and they try to sell you on services when you don’t need to.

Negative experience: They completely missed a cavity that I had for two years. I mentioned jaw pain to them and they recommended botox (??) and I ended up having to get the tooth fully removed, which I ended up having to pay out of pocket for because it absolutely couldn't wait til the new year. They also dropped the ball when it came to aftercare follow up-- they told me they would call me three days post operation to check on progress and literally nothing.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Tatarun and Tehyra the assistant did a great job letting me know the condition of my gums and teeth. They’re definitely experts

Negative experience: I implore anyone thinking of going here to read and listen to the one star reviews and make the best decision for yourselves. Different dentist every time—and they had me coming back and back and back again. One of the women dentists messed up one of my back molars so badly that I’m absolutely terrified to go back to the dentist in general. She bragged to the assistant in front of me that it was “the deepest she’d ever done” and now it’s slowly sliding off of my tooth and deep into my jaw. Not to mention how badly it hurt during the actual drilling! Also, they seemed annoyed when I raised my hand to indicate pain. I can’t help it if the numbing doesn’t work well on me… I had even told them beforehand and she dismissed me. When I called and tried to schedule an appointment for them to fix it, the front desk essentially demanded I get a different new cavity filled first, and THEN we could “see about booking another appointment [for the molar]” (the molar being the one actively causing me pain). Fine. I booked it. Then a week or two before that appointment (I had insisted Dr Haley see me because he had been the only one to do quality work on me) they called me to let me know he was actually going on vacation and we’d have to cancel. I took it as a sign from the universe and haven’t been back. After reading reviews now I’m not entirely sure that the other cavity would’ve even been necessary.. I also paid a bunch of money out of pocket for them to do a scaling procedure, too, which looks like a common occurrence from other one star reviewers.

Negative experience: I had 2-part deep cleaning in this dental clinic. One at 22 May, and one today . On 22 May, Doctor Hall was courteous, professional and very nice. Today I went again, and the appointment felt to me, in my opinion, very rushed. It was shorter than what was supposed to me. Than, to my surprise, plaque was visible on the front teeth (as can be seen on the attached photo). I am leaving the name of today's doctor out, for obvious reasons of protecting myself legally (opinion and reviews are protected in the state of Washington, thankfully). In my opinion, try Doctor Hall. Otherwise, don't bother.

Fantastic experience: I was in today for a cleaning and I’ve never been a big fan of going to the dentist but Bellingham Dental Group always makes it a positive experience! The front desk staff is always very friendly and welcoming, Dr Patel was very professional but kind and my dental assistant Bryn was amazing!! She did a great job making me feel comfortable and was so sweet and empathic when I was feeling bummed after finding out I’ll need a root canal soon. A great experience all the way around!

Dr. Patel and Amy were very patient, kind, and made sure I understood everything. Dr. Patel even gave me a follow up call to make sure I was doing good! I had some work done by Dr. Hong and her dental assistant Tehya and the process couldn't have gone any smoother. They understood my anxiety and made me feel very comfortable and explained every step. The receptionists here are the sweetest and I highly recommend coming here if you have dental anxiety and need a good dentist!

Fantastic experience: Drill Baby Drill! No, not oil, your teeth and this place is a welcoming place and easy to book, especially because of Natalie. Cracked a tooth and Dr. Haley Parker has taken great care of my mouth and teeth. I also got a nice gift at my first visit! Everyone here is super helpful, professional, and caring. Mia was so kind and patient with me as I moaned and griped about my new retainer fit. I strongly recommend this place and tell them I sent you, so I can get more entries to win the paddle board raffle!

Negative experience: They’re very nice but unfortunately I cannot afford to spend thousands of dollars each year on a scaling treatment for my apparently pervasive gum disease. I scheduled a cleaning with them and was told at the appointment they were unable to proceed until I had a scaling procedure on my gums to combat my gum disease. I had this procedure done a couple of years ago when I first started going to them, and then again about a year ago. I have dental insurance but since I had already had the procedure done so recently my insurance was not going to cover it. So, I spent the $130 and took off work in order to get a routine cleaning all for them to tell me I was basically SOL unless I could fork up over a thousand dollars for ANOTHER gum treatment that I sincerely doubt was necessary. I get that dental care is egregiously expensive in this country but this place takes it to a whole new level.

Negative experience: I will not be returning to this office. Both fillings I had done here failed and had to be redone elsewhere. My last cleaning was unprofessional. The hygienist’s hair was hanging inches from my mouth for the entirety of the appointment. When she realized I had a permanent bottom retainer, she complained so much about flossing it, that I told her to skip it. The dentist rushed through my X-rays fast and didn’t even notice four were missing/hadn’t been taken. The office feels more like an MLM than a real dental practice. TV screens push their “5-star reviews” to create a false sense of quality in the waiting room, and at checkout, the hygienist handed me a note asking for a review and to mention staff by name—it was odd. To top it off, if you request your records to be sent elsewhere, they automatically cancel your appointments without notice. This office is unprofessional and poorly run.

Fantastic experience: Who enjoys going to the dentist? No one, of course! But the staff at this office makes the experience much more comfortable and dials down apprehension. Tehya’s patient care was stellar; she was reassuring, offered a stress ball, and checked on my comfort. Dr. Johal was efficient, answered my questions, and was quick to offer more pain-relief as I have sensitive teeth. I’ve also received excellent care in the past from Haley and Hong, so I highly recommend every dentist here. P.s. They usually have a movie going or will offer you a choice of music. It does help.

Negative experience: While customer service on the surface looks incredible, These guys over charge by a huge amount. They were clear with their explain actions and it all made sense that I needed planning and scaling instead of a normal cleaning, until I went to another dentist that explained I should see plaque beneath my gums in order to do such an invasive, expensive procedure. I read a number of reviews and checked my gut and switched dentists. It seems it’s well known in the dental community that this clinic is trying to capitalize on how much they can make per person through insurance and then charging you as well. They also give you an electronic tooth brush as a welcome present for joining? If that’s not a red flag that they are making money off you idk what is.

Fantastic experience: I had some waxing and waning pain in a tooth and wanted to get it checked. I was able to get in soon, had a very thorough exam including radiographs and a good discussion with the dentist who listened well and asked good questions. Because I had opted in to the pre-paid annual plan, all of this was included and there was no additional charge. Fantastic!

Fantastic experience: Excellent in every way. Friendly staff, caring practitioners, and reasonably priced especially for today’s world. I had a root canal done there and everyone told me they’re horrible. With BDG it was a breeze.

They are flexible in scheduling appointments, provide efficient but thorough care, explain treatment options clearly and offer dental insurance which has saved us considerably expense. I can't imagine a dental group that could provide better service.

I had X-rays last May in another dental office and it has not been a year yet, so they did not charge me and gave me my x-rays for free. They took time to explain things and were very thorough. Fantastic experience: I had Tehya and Jessie helping me out the other day. Normally, I’m not the review type but this is the dentist and tbh I’m not a big fan of peope poking around in my chompers. But Tehya was fun to talk to and helped me feel at ease while Jessie was hella sensitive to my twitching if they touched a sensitive spot in my gums, checkin in on me. All around chill crew. Plus, there was a movie playing on the ceiling so that was cool.

They were both great in informing me about my dental health and took great care of me :) I hope to have them treat me again next time! <3 I went again today and had Amber and Dr. Arpul Johal. I was so so so nervous as I am when I go to the dentist. I highly reccomend these folks as they are so kind when it comes to dental anxiety. Fantastic experience: If you are like me going to the dentist is something I dread especially when you put it off for years. I have to say that my visit with Bellingham Dental was very pleasant from Ashley at the front desk and Tycee the dental assistant they made me feel like a person and not just a patient. Dr. Park Haley did the exam and then explained thoroughly what needed to be done plus answered all my questions in a non rushed manor this is a lost art these days.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hall and Tycee were incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and kind. They put me at ease and answered all my questions thoroughly. When it came to developing a treatment plan, they printed out all the estimated costs and patiently explained everything to me. I was apprehensive about visiting a new dentist, but they made me feel incredibly comfortable throughout the entire process.

Negative experience: Terrible dentist. Their policies are absurd. We prepared for cleanings and then they won't do the cleaning and say you need scaling because they want you to pay more money. Then you don't get to use the money for your service because it is only for cleanings. This dentist is primarily interested in squeezing as much money as possible out of their clients. $1k for scaling is wild and we should be able to use the cleaning if we paid for it, whether you want to upcharge or not. We are all broke! We can barely afford rent, food, and living expenses but you want to steal the only money we have to maintain our health and then demand an upcharge or you won't honor your service agreement. Then you state it's non refundable - you are STEALING from your customers! Honor the agreement and give them the cleaning. If they don't have the money for the additional needed services, that is their burden. You have now just made it worse by not allowing them to get the services they deserve and paid for!

Fantastic experience: Extremely quick. Got me in the day after I called. I thought it was going to be x-rays and a quick examination but they took care of my problem that day. Had three teeth removed and no pain. Very friendly and a great place to have dental work done.

Negative experience: Dental work has been great, place is clean, time with the doctors can feel rushed. They can be a little pushy with extra expensive treatments that I'm sure they get commission on (example, Invisalign braces). But overall, I've been very happy with cleanings and dental work they've done. Main reason for low rating: They charge $75 for a missed apt, but when I’d showed up for my 12:20 apt door was locked for lunch break…everyone deserves a lunch break by frustrating with such a strict appointment policy to be waiting outside… My first visit...they billed my insurance for x-rays I didn't get, and 2nd visit they billed my insurance for a cancer screening & fluoride treatment I didn't get. I watched the hygienist remove those items from the appointment...but they still billed my insurance luckily my insurance didn't pay those since they're not covered, so these costs didn't come out of my max annual benefits. Their tactic is to bill insurance for things like this, and maybe they get extra money...and if not, they don't charge the customer so they usually don't get caught unless you actually look at the paperwork for you insurance claims. I feel as though their billing practices are shadey.

Positive experience: Staff of this facility are very helpful, kind, generally provided exemplary service. That said I’ve had issues with billing and insurance twice already that have caused me to find a new provider. Mostly recently I was unable to make an appointment due to a cataclysmic event causing flight delays and in addition to sleeping in an airport I was fined $75 for a no show. To date I’ve spent something like $5,000 with this practice, hitting me for an extra $75 is horrible business considering the life time value of what my insurance would pay them and what I’d inevitably pay out of pocket when insurance plays its game and dances away from it’s responsibilities.

Fantastic experience: A very friendly and efficient office! Both Sydney (dental assistant) and Dr. Kate Hall were very professional, understanding, and kind throughout my initial appointment. I feel I'm in very good hands with regard to my dental health.

Fantastic experience: Today was my first visit at Bellingham Dental Group. I am not a big fan of going to the dentist but Karley made me feel so comfortable and welcome. Dr Hall was super nice and has a great bed side manner. From the receptionist to the assistant, to the dentist it was a great experience!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing experience! I came in bright and early and expected to have some tired early morning interactions, but everyone I spoke with was incredibly kind and helpful. They answered all of my questions, which I had a lot of, and gave very helpful and thoughtful answers. If you’re looking for a place to go for dental work look no further!
